After The Glitter Fades – Chapter 17

Chapter 17 — Life’s End, Part 3

Jun 3, 2004 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Hotel Victoria – Ken’s Hotel Room

“Don’t tell me that you decided to call it a night already JT,” Ken spoke as he opened the door.  “Kyle, what are you doing here?”

“No lover, what are you doing here?  Why aren’t you in New York, where you’re supposed to be?  Why in the hell are you here in Canada?”  The man identified as Kyle asked as he pushed Ken to the side, walked into the room and then slammed the door behind him.

“Kyle, I’m here because of another matter,” Ken answered as the man looked at him closely and then smacked him across the face.

“You told me that you were going to be in New York, handling some business,” Kyle stated as he drew back to hit Ken again, but stopped.  “Why the fuck are you here in Canada?  Dam it, answer me!”

“I’m here because a friend of mine is getting married tomorrow,” Ken answered as he moved back away from the man as he held his hand up to protect his face.

“What friend would that happen to be?  Is it JT?  Isn’t that the name you said before you opened the door and realized that it was me there instead?”  The man asked as he grabbed Ken by the collar of his shirt and then jacked him up.  “What’s going on here Ken?  Are you here for that bitch JT, the JT you used to date?  The JT you had plans of marrying a long time ago?”

“I’m here because he and Justin Tanner are getting married tomorrow,” Ken stated as the man shook his head, pushing him backwards, causing him to slam into the wall as he walked around him to see the bed.

“Who’s been sleeping in the bed bitch?  I know how you sleep and it looks like more than one person has been sleeping in this bed!”  Kyle screamed as Ken slid along the wall, moving in the opposite direction.  “Who else fucking you bitch?  You better not be riding no other dick out there but mine!”

“I haven’t been fucking around with anyone else,” Ken stated as some tears rolled down his cheek.  “Honest Kyle, I haven’t done anything wrong.  My nephew is here with me and he was jumping up and down on the bed earlier.”

“Why in the hell are you here with your nephew?”  Kyle asked.

“He’s JT’s son,” Ken stated as Kyle stopped moving, looked at him strangely and then turned around.

“Wait a minute, we’re talking about the same JT you were with, right bitch?”  Kyle asked as he turned to face Ken.

“Yes,” Ken replied as he looked down.  “He and my sister Heather have a child together.”

“Oh damn, is that the reason why you two broke up?”  Kyle asked, walking over to where Ken stood against the wall and then slapped his face.  “Is that the reason you two broke up?  You didn’t have what he wanted and he went after your sister and got the bitch knocked up?  Is that it, bitch?”

“No, that’s not it at all,” Ken stated as Kyle slapped his face again and then grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, pulling him up off the floor.  “Stop Kyle, you promised that you wouldn’t act this way anymore.  Why are you doing this?”

“This is happening because you fucking lied to me!”  Kyle snapped as he slapped Ken across the face and then pushed him towards the balcony doors.

“Stop it Kyle,” Ken pleaded as Kyle pushed him against the balcony doors, causing the doors to open as Ken stumbled outside and fell to the floor.

“Why should I stop Ken?  You’re supposed to be in New York right now.  If you had been where you told me that you would be, this wouldn’t be happening right now, would it?”  Kyle asked as he grabbed Ken, pulled him up to his feet and then held him against the balcony railing.

“How did you even know we were here?”  Ken asked, looking Kyle in the face and then turned slightly to see what was behind him.

“I called your travel agent,” Kyle stated as he slapped Ken across the face again. “She told me that you hadn’t booked any flights to New York or anywhere in America, but you were here in Canada.  You’ve been here for almost a week, lying to me!”

“I wasn’t lying to you Kyle,” Ken stated as Kyle slapped him again and then punched him in the stomach as Ken doubled over from the pain in his gut.

“You lying bitch!”  Kyle screamed as he kneed Ken in the groin and then punched him in the face as Ken’s body slipped backwards, causing him to fall over the balcony railing.

Jun 4, 2004 – After Midnight – JT and Justin’s Hotel Room

“Baby, wake up,” Justin softly spoke as he rubbed JT’s back.  “Don’t you have to take him back to Ken’s room?”

“Hmmm,” JT moaned, rolling around on the bed, bumping into another body as his eyes shot open as he sat up quickly.  “Oh God, we fell asleep.”

“Yeah we did,” Justin said with a small smile.  “Are you okay baby?”

“Yeah,” JT replied, yawning as he looked down at Caleb’s sleeping body.  “I’m not going to allow Heather to ruin what we could possibly have together.  He’s my son and I’m going to treat him as such.”

“I’m glad to hear you say that,” Justin said as he leaned in and kissed JT’s lips as giggling could be heard.

“Well it seems someone is awake also,” JT said as he looked down at Caleb.

“Hello Daddy,” Caleb spoke as he yawned and then stretched his arms over his head.

“Hello little man,” JT spoke, tickling Caleb’s stomach as the little boy squirmed around.  “Did you sleep okay?”

“Yes Daddy,” Caleb replied, yawning again.

“Are you ready to go back to Uncle Ken?”  JT asked as Caleb looked down with a frown on his face.

“Can I stay here with you a little bit longer Daddy?”  Caleb asked with a pleading look on his face.

“I don’t see why not,” JT replied, looking at Justin as Justin shrugged his shoulders.  “I guess you can hang out here with us.  If Ken was worried, I’m sure he would’ve came over to check on you.”

“Besides, we’re getting married today…  We can include him in the ceremony,” Justin stated as JT looked at him strangely.

“Really?  I can be in the ceremoanee?”  Caleb asked as JT and Justin laughed and then nodded their heads.  “Cool Daddy.  Justin, what will I call you then?”

“You still call me Justin,” Justin answered as he yawned and then got up off the bed.

“Where you going mister?”  JT asked, looking up at Justin.

“I have to see a man about a race horse,” Justin replied as JT shook his head.

“Lawd, just go pee man,” JT stated as he moved around on the bed and then sat up.  “Caleb, go ahead and take off your shoes.”

“Okay Daddy,” Caleb replied, kicking his shoes off.

“Do you have to go to the bathroom Caleb?”  JT asked as Caleb shook his head in the negative.  “Okay then, come on up here.”

“Okay Daddy,” Caleb replied as JT pulled the covers back on the bed, holding them as he crawled under them.

“You hang tight, I’m going to use the bathroom and get ready for bed too,” JT stated, getting up off the bed as he walked towards the bathroom.

Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Police Department, 6th District – Booking Area

“Morning Detective Charles, what do you have for me?”  The booking officer asked as Detective Warren Charles and two patrol officers entered the area with Heather and Shannon.

“New inmate, name is Heather Stewart with pending charges for felonious rape, assault, bribery and resisting arrest,” Detective Charles stated, directing Heather over to a chair in a cell as another officer walked in behind Heather, removing her handcuffs.

“Next,” the booking officer spoke.

“Shannon Tate, pending charges for obstruction and also resisting arrest,” Detective Charles stated.

“Thanks sir,” the booking officer stated with a smile as Shannon was directed into the cell with Heather.  “Oh yeah, Captain Harris is looking for you.”

“Thanks,” Detective Charles replied as he tipped his hat and then walked out of the room.

“Hey, excuse me,” Heather spoke up as the booking officer looked over at her, getting ready to close the cell door.

“Be quiet,” the booking officer instructed as Heather’s eyes widened.

“I will certainly not be quiet!  How dare you people treat me this way!  I haven’t done anything wrong, I shouldn’t be here!”  Heather screamed as a few police officers rushed into the area, lining up outside of the cell.

“Heather, I think you need to just be quiet,” Shannon stated as she took a seat as Heather shook her head.

“I won’t be quiet!  I’m not going down for something I haven’t done!  I’m here under false pretenses!”  Heather snapped as two female officers walked over to her.  “You two don’t scare me!”

“Miss, it would be best if you stayed quiet,” one of the officers spoke with a neutral expression.

“It would be in my best interest if I wasn’t here in this fucking place!”  Heather yelled as the other officer shook her head as Heather slid into another chair, getting away from the officers.  “I’m not guilty of anything, I don’t belong in this damn dump!”

“I don’t have time for this,” one of the officer’s spoke as Heather bumped one of the officers as both women looked at her and then wrestled her to the floor.

“No!”  Heather screamed as she moved around on the floor, trying to get away from the officers.

“Stop resisting Miss,” one of the officers stated, grabbing Heather’s arm and pulling it behind her back, holding her down on the floor as Heather kicked and continued to struggle with the officers.

“This is police brutality!”  Heather screamed as she struggled more.

“Heather, just stop it!”  Shannon yelled as the officers continued wrestling around with Heather.

“What in the world is going on in here?”  Detective Charles asked as he and a few police officers rushed into the area.

“She’s being resistant!”  The booking officer yelled as two more officers went into the cell to help the other two officers.

“This is ridiculous,” Detective Charles said as he shook his head.  “This woman is determined to cause problems every damn where she goes.  Someone get the chair!”

“The chair?”  Shannon said as she watched things happen around her as an officer returned to the area with a chair that had head, arm and leg restraints attached to it.

“Get her in that damn chair, now!”  Detective Charles harshly directed.

“Heather please stop,” Shannon pleaded as one of the officers pointed at her.

“We don’t need your help in this ma’am, we got this.  You just keep quiet,” one of the officers stated as Heather was hefted up off the floor and then assisted into the chair, being strapped into it.  “Okay Miss, until you can calm yourself down, we’re going to put you into solitary confinement.”

“No!”  Heather screamed as more restraints were placed on her as she struggled more, trying to get out of the chair.

“Look, the longer you struggle, the longer it’s going to take for us to get you completely booked and processed,” one of the officers stated.

“Which room is she going in?”  The booking officer asked.

“We’re putting her into ‘S’ dash four,” one of the officers stated, walking down the corridor, pushing the chair with Heather strapped to it as a cell door was opened.  “Let’s go ahead and get her in here and let her cool off.  I think after she’s been here a few hours, all that fire will have burned out.”

“I’m going to have all you bitches badges when I’m done with you!  This is police brutality damn it!”  Heather screamed as she continued to struggle, making the chair shake from side-to-side.

“Whatever you say Miss,” one of the officers said as all of them backed out of the cell and then closed the door, leaving Heather by herself.

“You,” Detective Charles spoke as he stepped into the cell with Shannon.  “Are you her family or just a friend?”

“I’m a friend,” Shannon replied, looking at the man strangely.

“Does she have a history of mental illness?”  Detective Charles asked as Shannon glared at him.  “If she has some mental health issues, we need to know, so we can get her some help.”

“There’s nothing wrong with her, besides the fact that you people have set her up and locked her up,” Shannon stated as Detective Charles stepped back, tipped his hat and then walked out of the cell, closing it behind him as he walked over to the booking officer.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Hotel Victoria – Vanessa’s Hotel Room

“I think you need to calm down ‘Nessa,” James stated as he shook his head.

“How dare you tell me to calm down!”  Vanessa screamed, throwing her hands up.  “I can’t believe you told him all of that!”

“I didn’t have to tell him anything woman!”  James screamed, walking over to Vanessa with a sadistic look on his face.  “Don’t be trying to put the blame on me, now that he knows everything!  Apparently, he never forgot any of it!  I just don’t understand why he didn’t get you out of his life earlier.”

“Now wait just a fucking minute!”  Vanessa snapped, grabbing James by his arm, snatching him around.

“No, you wait a fucking minute woman!”  James screamed.  “This scene isn’t going to play out like it did back in Philly.”

“Meaning what James?”  Vanessa asked as James opened his blazer and pulled a gun from the inside pocket.  “James, what are you doing?  What are you thinking?”

“You shot me ‘Nessa and you left me for dead in that damn hotel room!”  James screamed, getting closer to Vanessa, her expression changing as he grabbed her by her shirt, holding her close.  “Don’t you think I should return the damn favor?”

“James no, stop!”  Vanessa screamed as James shook his head and then placed the gun to her chest, cocking the trigger as he moved it in between her breasts.  “No James, please… Don’t do this to me, you love me.”

“I begged you ‘Nessa.  I begged you for many years and what did you damn do?”  James asked as he shook his head and then pushed the gun against her chest, scaring her more.  “You turned me away and pushed me out of our son—sons lives!  Because of your damn actions, my son hates me and doesn’t want anything to do with me!”

“I—I’m sorry James,” Vanessa said as the tears streamed down her face.

“It’s too late for you to be sorry now ‘Nessa,” James stated as he shook his head.  “You ruined the lives of many people… You did that just so you could be the famous Vanessa Jameson!  What was wrong with being Vanessa Poole?  Hell, you could’ve stayed Vanessa Clemons, but no, you had to use my first name and added letters from your own to make your new alias, an alias that’s done nothing but destroy lives!”

“I—I haven’t destroyed lives,” Vanessa stated as James shook his head.

“Don’t fuck with me woman, I’ll silence you forever,” James stated as more tears fell from Vanessa’s eyes.  “You were the only woman in this world that I loved like this and all you did was fuck me over and for what, to be a star!  Was it worth it ‘Nessa?  Come on, was it worth all of this?  Look at your life now, you have nothing left!  So, was it fucking worth it ‘Nessa?”

“No,” Vanessa said as James smiled and then pulled the trigger on the gun.

“That was just the answer I was looking for,” James said as he kissed Vanessa’s lips and then pushed her off of his arm as she slid down to the floor, hitting with a thump.  “Hopefully someone will find you in time to get you some medical attention.  Goodbye Vanessa.”

Early Morning – The Hotel Lobby

“Good morning,” a Toronto Police Service officer spoke as he walked over to the counter.  “I need to speak with the person in charge of this hotel.”

“Good morning, is there something I can help you with?”  The person behind the counter asked as the police officer tipped his hat and then frowned.

“There has been an accident here and we need to collect some information,” the officer stated as an emergency vehicle was seen leaving the parking area.

“What kind of accident?”  The person behind the counter asked.

“To start, there was a man found out back in the alley.  It seems he fell from one of the higher levels of this hotel,” the officer stated.  “We need to check the register to see who this person is, so we can find out where the accident actually occurred.”

“Oh my God, what’s the status of the person?”  The person behind the counter asked with a concerned look.

“The person seems to be alive, but just barely,” the officer stated.  “The man is currently in a coma.”

“Oh no,” the person stated as the printer finished printing.  “This is the current guest roster.”

“Thank you,” the officer responded as he looked over the list.  “Do you happen to have copies of the guests’ identification cards that are currently checked in?”

“Yes,” the person replied.

“That would more than likely help to identify the man if he is a guest of this hotel,” the officer stated as the person walked into another room and then returned with a manila folder.

“Here you are,” the person stated as the officer opened the folder and flipped through the pages and then stopped.

“I found him,” the officer stated, looking at the page closely.  “His name is Kenneth Hampton, he’s from America.”

“Oh my, I hope he’s not with the group of celebrities staying here,” the person stated with a frown.  “That can bring a whole lot of attention to the hotel.”

“You may need to get prepared.  I’m sure there will be a lot of attention,” the officer stated, walking through the doors that led outside.

Chicago, IL – The Clemons Estates – The Master Bedroom

In the wee hours of the morning, the moonlight shone through the windows, glistening the bodies of the two people that lie in bed, sound asleep.  Unknown to the two, their peaceful sleep is about to come to an abrupt end.  Within seconds, the sound of someone pounding on a door could be heard in the bedroom, jarring one of the people awake.  With a bit of fumbling, the person reached over to the bedside table and turned on a lamp.

“Eddie, Eddie baby, you need to get up, I think someone’s at the door,” the person whispered, shaking the other person, trying to wake them.

Getting no response, the person looked around the room as the sound of something or someone pounding on a door could be heard again, but a bit louder than before.  Shaking the other person a bit more forcefully this time, the person stirred just a bit to acknowledge the person there, but gave no other response.

“Eddie, I think someone’s in the house with us,” the person spoke, pulling the covers closer to their chest.

Sighing, the person pounded their fist into the other person’s back, trying to get their attention as the pounding got a bit louder and persistent.  Opening a drawer on the bedside table, the person pulled out what looked like a gun.

“Come on Eddie, you need to get up.  I think someone is in the house with us,” the person stated, poking the other person in the side.

“No baby, I got work in the morning.  I’m not getting out of this bed until it’s time for work,” the person said as the pounding could be heard again and then there was a crash.

“I know you heard that,” the person said, poking the other person in the side again.  “Get up and go see what that is.”

“I didn’t hear nothing baby,” the other person replied as a creaking sound was heard.

“Eddie!”  The person screamed as the door to the bedroom opened, revealing a man standing there with a baseball bat in one hand and a gun in the other hand.

“Well hello you two,” the man spoke as both people in the bed, moved around quickly, trying to cover their bodies with the sheet.  “Eddie, Juanita, it’s so good to have your attention, so early in the morning.”

“What in the hell are you doing here?”  One of the person’s identified as Eddie asked as he slid up more in the bed.

“Man, why you been ducking me?”  The man asked.  “Eddie, you got my money?”

“Eddie, what’s going on here?”  The person identified as Juanita asked.

“No, the question is, Eddie where is my money?”  The man asked.

“What in the hell are you doing in my fucking house?”  Eddie asked, glaring at the man.

“No Eddie, what are you doing here, when you should be out there, getting me my damn money!  I don’ told you many times that I’m not going to keep waiting on you, to give me, my gatt damn money!”  The person snapped as he stood at the foot of the bed, pointing the gun at Eddie.

“I—I need some more time Skeeter!”  Eddie exclaimed as the man raised an eye at him.

“Who you think you raising your voice to?”  The man asked.

“I—I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to do that, but it’s really early in the morning and you’re scaring the hell out of me and my wife,” Eddie stated as Juanita looked at him and then back at the man.

“You don’ had six fuckin’ months to get me my damn money.  You were only supposed to had one.  I want my gatt damn money Eddie!  I’m tired of you fucking wit’ me!”  The man screamed as he hit the footboard of the bed with the bat.  “Your time has ran out, I want all of my money!”

“I—I don’t have all of your money,” Eddie responded, the expression on his face changing.

“What do you mean you don’t have all of my money?  You told me that you had a big score coming in,” the man stated as he walked around the bed, getting closer to Eddie and pointing the bat in his face.  “You told me the other day that you and your boys were coming into some money.  I want my money and I want it now!”

“I—I don’t have it now,” Eddie stated as the man shook his head.

“Tell you what I’m going to do,” the man said as Eddie looked at the bat, the gun and then back up at the man’s eyes.  “I’m going to give you some more time, but the money you owe me has doubled.”

“What!  I can’t…” Eddie snapped, but then stopped when the man poked the bat in his face.  “Come on Skeeter, I don’t have that kind of money just lying around.”

“How much money are we talking about here?”  Juanita asked.

“Your man here, into me for one hunned large now,” the man stated as Juanita’s eyes widened.

“You owe him one hundred thousand dollars?  How in the hell did that happen?  What you do with that kind of money?”  Juanita asked.

“I had to pay off some debt and now we have more debt,” Eddie stated as Juanita shook her head.

“No, you have debt,” Juanita stated as she shook her head, grabbed the sheet and pulled it to her body as she slid out of the bed.  “You two work out what you need to do, but I’m getting the hell up out of here.”

“Gatt damnit Juanita, you helped me spend that damn money!”  Eddie screamed as the man shook his head and then started laughing.

“See, that’s why you shouldn’t get attached to no bitch,” the man stated as he pointed the bat at Eddie again.  “Do what you need to do to get my damn money Eddie.  I’ll see you again in a few days.”

“A few days?  I can’t come up with that kind of money in a few days,” Eddie stated.

“Maybe you need to call that superstar sister of yours and get some damn money from her,” the man stated as he smiled and then turned around.  “Oh, if you try to fucking duck me again or try to screw me over, I will kill you Eddie.”

Chapter 6 — All Star Drama Encountered

Aug 6, 1995 – Somewhere in Texas – All Star’s Tour Bus

‘Joey, the conversation between Justin and I is finished.  You can return and we can continue where we left off with our own conversation,’ JT telepathically spoke to Joey.

“Justin, I hope you weren’t mean to him,” Joey said as he passed Justin in the corridor on his way back to where JT sat.

“I didn’t say anything to him that he hasn’t already heard before,” Justin replied as he continued walking as Joey stopped where JT was.

“Welcome back,” JT spoke as he looked Joey in the eyes.  “You’re back and now we can finish our talk.  The last thing you said was…”

“The last thing I said was, JT would you be my boyfriend?”  Joey asked, wrapping his arms around JT’s neck as he waited for JT’s answer.

Ware County, GA – Georgia State Prison

“Prisoner 178001278, here are your belongings, you’re free to go.  Keep your mug away from people you shouldn’t be near and you’ll go far in life,” the prison guard spoke as he handed the man the packet that contained his belongings and then handed him a piece of paper.

“So am I really free to go?  I don’t have to deal with you fucking sleazebags anymore?”  The man asked, looking at the guard and then back at the gate he just walked through.

“That’s right asshole,” the prison guard replied as he eyed the man and then put his hand on his crotch.

“Whatever sleazebag, you’re not getting none of this ass, ever again,” the man spoke as he grabbed his things and then stepped up to the next gate as a buzzer sounded.  “You won’t be abusing Jamie Fowler, ever again.”

“The way you’re acting, you’ll be back real soon,” the prison guard stated as the man walked through the gate that led to the outside.

“That’s what he fucking thinks,” the man said as he stepped outside, took a deep breath and then exhaled.

“Your limo awaits Master Marek.  Where would you like to go?”  The driver asked.

“Take me to the airport.  I must get to Texas.  Once in Texas, the Psychic Warrior will once again be mine.  He’ll never leave me, never again.  This time I’ll make sure of it!  We’ve been apart for a very long time!”  The man snapped as the driver looked in the rearview mirror and smiled.

“It’s good to have you back Master,” the driver said as the car started and then drove off.

Dallas, TX – The Police Department

“Officer, I don’t belong here.  Just let me go and we can forget that all of this ever happened!”  Poltergeist yelled as a police officer looked at him strangely.

“You’re under arrest, you’re going to be here for quite some time.  All that hootin’ and hollering isn’t going to help your cause boy,” the police officer said as he pointed his baton at Poltergeist.  “You belong here.  When you’re caught stalking someone and you try to hurt them, you go to jail.”

“Fuck this shit!  I’m outta here!  Later loser!”  Poltergeist screamed as he moved backwards quickly and then disappeared from the jail cell as the officer’s eyes widened.

“What the fuck!  Where in the hell did he damn go?  No one told us we had one of those freaks on our hands!  Cap’n, that guy that nigger brought in just disappeared in thin air,” the police officer stated.

“Well damn!  I guess I need to contact that music group that was here a couple of days ago and tell ‘em that guy escaped that was stalking them boys,” the police captain stated as he shook his head.

Somewhere in Texas – All Star’s Tour Bus

“Justin, what did you say to JT?  Did you do anything to hurt the relationship he and Joey are trying to develop?”  Lance asked Justin with a stern look on his face.

“I didn’t say anything to them that they haven’t heard before, so lay off of me Lance!”  Justin yelled.

“Look Justin, if you hurt Joey’s feelings in any way, you’ll have to deal with me and Jon.  I’ve talked to Jon about the whole situation and he will not tolerate harassment of any kind,” Lance stated.

“What’s the problem here Lance?  Why are you even defending him?  Are you gay or something?”  Justin asked.

“Yes, I’m gay also.  Do you have a problem with that Justin?  Do you?  If so, let me know now so I can solve the problem for you!”  Lance snapped.

“I—I didn’t know, I’m sorry.  I just don’t know how to handle this.  Like damn, two out of five of ‘All Star’ is gay.  How am I to deal with this information Lance?  How am I supposed to handle the break up and drama of this damn group if this information were to get out?  You know the media will pull us apart, piece-by-piece Lance.  I haven’t worked all of these years just for us to plummet to the bottom of the charts!”  Justin snapped.

“Hey, what in the hell is going on in here?”  Joshua asked, walking into the room.

“This bastard’s gay too,” Justin replied, throwing his hands up.

“Is that true Lance?  Are you gay too?”  Joshua asked with a frown on his face.

“Yeah, I’m gay, but what does that have to do with Justin being a prick?  What does that have to do with Justin trying to break up Joey and JT?  He needs to let them be, let me be…” Lance trailed off as he left the room with tears in his eyes.

The Bunk Area – Joey’s Bunk

“Okay, to answer your question, I’ll be your boyfriend Joey, but there are a few conditions,” JT stated as Joey looked at him strangely.

“And the conditions are,” Joey said.

“You don’t change too much of your life to keep this relationship going.  To everyone outside of this bus, I’m your bodyguard and nothing more.  In private, anything goes.  You will keep this relationship discreet from the media and no one outside of ‘All Star’ will know of us.  Can you deal with those terms Joey?”  JT asked.

“Sure, I can handle those terms, now kiss me so we can seal this deal,” Joey said, pulling JT close and kissing his lips.  “I’m ready to be your man and you be mine.”

“Okay,” JT replied as Joey slid his hand down JT’s chest, tickling him a bit as he stopped at the top of his pants.  Moving them around on the bed, Joey moved in closer to JT as he unsnapped the button to JT’s pants and then unzipped them, moving his hand under JT’s underwear.  Looking JT in the eyes, Joey started to fondle JT’s manhood.

“Joey, what are you doing?  We can’t do this here,” JT squealed, grabbing Joey’s hand, stopping him from touching him the way he was.

“Come on JT, I just want to play with it.  Come on, just let me touch it,” Joey begged, massaging JT’s dick more.

“Stop it Joey,” JT said as his eyes glowed a bit.  “If you keep doing that, you’re going to get me going and I don’t think we need to be doing something like this with your friends around on this bus.  You said you would keep this discreet.”

“I am keeping this discreet, the curtain is closed,” Joey said as he leaned in and kissed JT’s lips as he continued to fondle JT’s dick.

“Oh God,” JT moaned as he stopped resisting Joey’s actions.

“That’s it baby, enjoy it,” Joey said as JT moved his hand inside Joey’s sweatpants and started fondling his dick.

The two men kissed and jerked each other off until they both reached orgasm.  Satisfied with the pleasure they had created for themselves; both men fell asleep in each other’s arms with smiles on their faces.

Late Morning

“Excuse me, what in the fuck were you two doing in there last night?”  Justin asked Joey as he passed him on his way to the bathroom.

“That’s none of your business,” Joey replied, glaring at Justin.

“It’s all of our business when you’re doing things on the bus that we all can hear,” Justin stated as Joey shook his head.

“I don’t want to hear this shit right now.  Just let it go man,” Joey said as he opened the bathroom door as Justin grabbed his arm, stopping him.  “Look man, it’s too damn early in the morning for this!”

“Answer me damn it!”  Justin snapped as Joey snatched his arm away and then walked into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him as Justin shook his head and then started banging on the door.

“What in the world is going on out here?”  JT asked, stepping out of the bank that he shared with Joey.

“No, what were you two doing last night?  I’m not okay with you two having sex on the bus with us!”  Justin snapped as he pointed his finger at JT.

“JT, don’t say anything.  Justin, you come with me,” Barbara stated as she grabbed Justin by the collar of his shirt and led him to the front of the bus.

“Let go of me Barb,” Justin whined.

“Leave those two guys alone Justin.  No one has done anything to you or to jeopardize you or your career.  Behave and let them be Justin.  From what I can see, Joey has had a hard time dealing with all of this for so long and now that it’s out in the open with you guys, you are the only one that’s giving him shit.  Let JT be his companion, if that’s what Joey wants.  I know JT and I now the way he is.  I know he won’t do anything to jeopardize his or anyone’s careers around here.  Just let things be Justin,” Barbara stated as she pushed Justin down into a seat and then handed him his cell phone.

“Just to let you know, I don’t like any of this.  I believe Joey and Lance are going through some sort of crisis or phase that made them turn to men.  Some girl out there in the world broke their hearts and now they’re afraid to be with women or something.  I—I can’t let them be this way, it’s wrong,” Justin stated as Barbara shook her head.

‘That little shit is getting on my damn nerves.  It’s no wonder he and his girlfriend argue so much.  It’s very clear, he’s a fucking pain in the ass.  Someone needs to teach him a lesson,’ Hank thought as he watched Barbara and Justin.  ‘I have something for him.  When I’m done with him, he’ll know what it’s like to be an asshole.’

“Hank, what do you think about all of this?”  Justin asked, looking at Hank as Barbara shook her head again.

“Excuse me, I have to go.  I’m heading back to the bunk,” Hank replied as he got up and then walked to the bunk area.

“Damn, that was really rude of him.  What’s his problem Barb?”  Justin asked as he looked up at Barbara.

“The problem is, it seems you’ve gotten on a lot of nerves recently Mr. Lake.  With all the ranting and raving you’ve been doing, people are bound to walk away from you while you talk.  Call your girlfriend, it’s way after seven and you’re late with your call.  If you need me, I’ll be in the kitchen area, having something cool and refreshing,” Barbara stated with a smile as she waved and then walked off.

The Bunk Area – Tyler’s Bunk

“Tyler, I don’t know what to do anymore.  I love him, but I don’t know how to approach the subject.  If I just come out and say it to him, then Justin will have another damn hissy fit.  I just don’t know what to do here.  Maybe I should quit and return to X-Compound… at least there, there isn’t anyone to fall in love with and pine after so much,” Hank stated as Tyler shook his head as Hank started crying.

“Stop it Hank, stop it right now.  You’ve had this crush on Lance for two damn long.  Either you act on it or give it up.  I’m tired of you whining about this all the time.  Just go for it already.  If you don’t do something soon, this will hinder your ability to protect him, then what’s going to happen to the both of you?”  Tyler asked as Hank sniffled and then looked down at his hands.

“Okay fine, I’ll tell him how I feel, but what if he doesn’t like me back?  What happens then?  How will I go on?”  Hank asked as Tyler slid out of bed, standing next to Hank as he grabbed his shoulders.

“You know, for the powerful person that you are, you sure do have some insignificant problems that you just insist on creating for yourself.  If the guy doesn’t like you, it wasn’t mean to be.  Just go ahead and move on or you might have to quit.  Knowing you, you’ll not get over this any time soon,” Tyler said as he sighed and then walked away from the bunk.

“Tyler,” Hank said as Tyler shook his head and then waved his hand dismissively at Hank.  “Fine, I’ll take your advice.”

Somewhere Else in Texas – An Unknown Location

“Come on Mitch, have you located them yet?”  Poltergeist asked, walking over to where Shaman stood.  “I need Justin and I need him badly.  I’ve been dreaming about him since my memory and powers returned.  When I get my hands on that Psychic Warrior, he’s going to wish he didn’t fuck with my mind like that!”

“You two are crazy as hell.  If that Psychic Warrior guy already beat the hell out of you, then what’s the use in trying again?  If he beat you once, I’m quite sure he can do it again, go figure.”  Wolf stated as he looked at Poltergeist and then shook his head.

“If you don’t want to get to the sweet-looking Lancey-poo, then you don’t have to Steve.  Unlike you, I want my Justin and I want him right now.  So, if you don’t have any plans of making that happen with Lance, then shut the fuck up!”  Poltergeist snapped, pointing his finger at the other man, knocking him down to the floor with an invisible force.

“Fuck this shit man!  I’m not going to jail like you did.  I’m going to blow this joint.  I don’t need this bullshit that you’re trying to lay down,” Wolf stated as he turned around.  “If you ever hit me like that again, I’ll eat you alive!”

“Calm down, we shouldn’t be arguing amongst ourselves,” Shaman stated as Wolf looked at him, growling as he stepped backwards.

“What the fuck is your problem man?  You were the one that joined us, saying that you couldn’t live without your precious Lancey-poo.  Since we all had something in common, we all have an agenda here… an agenda to find the guys that we love.  When I came to you, you were interested in making your dream of being with Lance come true.  If you didn’t want that, you should’ve turned me away back then!”  Poltergeist screamed as Wolf shook his head.

“You guys have the problems.  I’m not in the mood to go up against a psychic that can kick my ass, like he kicked yours!”  Wolf screamed.

“You are a piece of fucking work!  Mitch here could’ve saved his energies, trying to find you.  I should just teleport your back to where you were, just to get rid of your ass, but I can’t do that, you know way too much about us,” Poltergeist stated as he shook his head.

“If Lance liked me, then I would pursue him, but he doesn’t.  Lance met me in a dance club a few weeks ago.  We had fun, we had sex and all, but he never called me.  He got what he wanted from me and he never said anything else.  All I have to remember him by is the underwear he left in the hotel room with me.  He never returned any of my calls.  So, I guess I’m out.  I don’t have time for this petty game you freaks are playing,” Wolf stated as his body shifted into a wolf and then he ran from the shack the guys hid in.

All Star’s Tour Bus – The Bunk Area

“Hey baby, what’s going on?”  Joey asked, crawling into his bunk to see JT sitting cross-legged in the corner of the bunk with glowing eyes.  “What’s happening JT?  JT, what are you doing?”

“I—I sense something wrong.  We’re—we’re approaching danger,” JT replied as his eyes glowed brighter.  “The danger is almost upon us!  Someone tell the driver to stop us now!”

“What in the world?”  Wanda said as she slid the curtain to the bunk back.  “What’s going on JT?  What is it that you see?  What is this danger you speak of?”

“Wanda, what’s going on with him?  Is he okay?”  Joey asked, looking up at Wanda as she noticed the tears streaming down JT’s face.

“What in the hell is going on back there?  What’s with all the noise?”  Justin asked, walking towards the bunk area as Wanda turned around quickly, blocking his path as he pushed past her.

“Ahhh!  What in the hell was that?  That hurt very badly!”  Justin screamed as his body was slammed into the opposite wall by a sonic energy sound bolt projected at him by JT.

“Damn it JT, what did you do that for?”  Wanda asked as JT’s eyes stopped glowing as he vanished and then reappeared outside of the bunk where Justin was.  “What’s going on JT?  Why did you zap him with that sonic beam?  Is Justin the source of the danger that’s approaching us or what?”

“Get back Wanda, that’s not Justin!”  JT snapped as Wanda raised an eye at him.  “Okay, it’s Justin, but his mind is being controlled by someone else!”

“He’s being controlled by who?”  Wanda asked as a psychic image of Marek appeared in front of them.

“Well look what we have here.  I have you now Psychic Warrior, you cannot escape me!”  Justin spoke, sounding like Marek as JT’s eyes widened and then he fainted.

“What in the hell is that?”  Joey asked, walking through Marek’s psychic projection.

“Joey don’t,” Wanda said as JT opened his eyes and then looked around.

“Everybody get out of here now!  Don’t let him touch you!  If he does, he can possess you too!”  JT screamed as he grabbed Joey’s hand and then vanished with him.

“Wanda, lock in on everybody else and teleport them away from here.  I think it’s time for us to do our job,” Hank said as he ran for the front of the bus where Lance sat as he grabbed him quickly.  Looking up, he projected beams of energy from his eyes, blasting a hole in the ceiling of the bus allowing him to fly the two of them outside.

“Asaya Masalli Magotti, Star Power Change!”  JT screamed as his body exploded in light as a strange ribbon-like energy flared around his body as his clothing changed into his costume.

“I’ve told you multiple times that you can’t escape from me Psychic Warrior, not now, not ever!”  Justin screamed, walking off the bus.

“Guys, don’t do anything, if you do, you’ll only hurt Justin!”  JT yelled.

“How are we supposed to protect ourselves without hurting him?  Can you telepathically separate Marek from Justin?”  Hank asked as he and Lance floated in the middle of the air.

“I’ve tried that already, but it seems Marek’s telepathic powers are stronger than they used to be.  Now that I don’t possess all of my magical powers, I can’t beat him,” JT stated as he and Joey floated down to the ground.

“Try as you might, you won’t win,” Justin spoke, waving his hand through the air as JT’s body is thrown across the ground.

“Justin, what are you doing?”  Joshua asked as he ran over to Justin and then grabbed his arm as Justin quickly grabbed him and then threw him through the air.

“God no!”  Tyler screamed as he leapt into the air, flying as fast as he could to catch Joshua’s falling body.

“Come on Justin, you have to listen to me.  Snap out of it.  Don’t let that freak control your mind and body like that.  Fight him!  Fight him for yourself!  Fight him for the love of yourself and Veronica!  Fight for your friends that he can possibly kill, using you to do it!”  Barbara screamed as she rushed over to him as she projected beams of ice from her hands, lowering the temperature around his body.

“Frosta, what are you doing?  Don’t freeze him!  You might hurt or kill him that way!”  JT yelled as his eyes shimmered with a gold-colored energy as Joey’s body hovered behind him.

“Hell, I don’t care what that bitch does to this boy.  It won’t hurt me at all,” Justin said as he waved his hand as Barbara was knocked backwards.

“That’s it!  I may not be able to psychically hurt you, but let’s see what my magic can do!”  JT yelled as his eyes glowed an eerie green color.  “I son of the daughter, daughter of the father command the heavens to open and admonish this evil!”

“Really Psychic Warrior?  Really?”  Justin said as he waved his hand as JT’s body slammed into the tour bus, knocking it over.

“Damn, that didn’t work at all,” JT stated as he shook his head and then got up off the ground.  “I guess I have to use a different method.  Power of shadows heed my command, set Justin free as quick as you can.  Leave his soul and mind intact, let the form of  Marek be… be ramsacked!”

“Oh that’s never going to work,” Hank said as he shook his head.

“Look!  It’s working!  It’s actually working… I didn’t know my man could do that kind of thing.  That’s so cool,” Joey said as he floated above the others.

‘You pathetic fool!  You might’ve pushed me out of the boy’s body, but I can still fight you.  Remember, I know what powers you have and I know how to push your buttons to make you use them!’  Marek’s psychic projection spoke as it flew around the area, trying to find another person to possess.

“I’m not going to allow you to grab another person here and possess them.  I suggest you give up!  Sorry to burst your bubble Marek, but a lot of things have changed about me.  I’m not the same person, with the same powers that you remember.  Don’t toy with me and you won’t get hurt!”  JT snapped as he zapped Marek’s psychic projection with a psychic energy bolt.

‘We’ll see about that.  I’ll return and when I do, you won’t know what hit you!’  Marek telepathically projected his voice as his psychic image disappeared.

“Is everyone okay?  Is everyone accounted for?”  JT asked as he looked around.

“No!  Where are Tyler and Joshua?”  Lance asked as he continued looking around.

“Yeah, where are those two?”  Joey asked as his body floated down to the ground.

“Don’t know where they are.  I just know that when Justin tossed Joshua into the air, Tyler went after him, but I don’t remember seeing either of them come back down to the ground,” Wanda stated as she looked around.

“No, something’s not right here.  I don’t sense either of them nearby.  Wanda, do you have your communicator with you?”  JT asked as he moved over to where Wanda stood.

“Yes,” Wanda replied, opening her jacket and pulling a small communication device out as she activated it.  “Stryker, Stryker come in.”

= It seems Mr. Stryker can’t answer your call right now.  Mr. Stryker and his little friend Joshua are very busy right now.  I want Psychic Warrior right now.  If he doesn’t turn himself over to me, Mr. Stryker and his little friend Joshua will never be seen again. =

“Damn JT, Marek has them.  What are we going to do?”  Wanda asked, sighing as she shook her head.

“I don’t know.  I just need to know which one he possessed, Tyler or Joshua,” JT said as his eyes glowed a strange red color.

“I don’t like the way his eyes look right now.  Is that a bad sign?”  Joey asked as he looked at Wanda and then at Barbara.

“JT, come back to us man.  Don’t let this push you over the edge.  There’s no need for that,” Hank stated as his image shifted, taking on an image like that of JT’s.

“That’s not going to work Hank,” Wanda spoke as she shook her head again.  “Morphing into JT’s father isn’t going to do the trick this time.”

“This shit is freaking me the hell out!  What in the hell is going on around here?  Who’s that guy?  Why does JT look like that?  What’s the deal with the Marek guy?  What’s the damn history between him and JT?”  Chris asked, looking at Wanda and then over to Barbara as Wanda placed a strange looking crystal over JT’s body as he froze in place but his body trembled as if he was resisting what Wanda was trying to do.

“Now isn’t the time for this,” Wanda stated as Chris closed his mouth and then looked down.

“What happened to Hank?”  Chris asked.

“Be cool, he only changed to look like JT’s father in hopes of getting him to calm down,” Wanda replied as her eyes glowed as the crystal that floated near JT disappeared.  “When JT gets really upset, like he is now, his darker side tends to take control and he’s harder to interact with.

“Well right now I don’t like the color of his eyes or the way he’s looking right now,” Chris stated as he shook his head.  “He looks like the devil.  Is he evil or something?”

“Most of the time no, but sometimes he acts that way when his darker side takes over,” Wanda stated as Barbara shook her head.

“That’s not really explaining things,” Chris stated as Barbara rolled her eyes.  “As I said before, this is some freaky shit.  This doesn’t explain what happened to Justin and where Joshua and Tyler are right now.  Who is Marek and why is he trying to get to JT, what’s the big connection there?”

“The connection there is Marek met JT a long time ago, they dated, had a bad time at it and here we are,” Wanda stated as Barbara sighed.

“I don’t get it,” Chris stated.

“Okay, a long time ago, one of the guys that JT was protecting, fell under attack by some terrorists.  A bomb went off and JT got hurt.  One of the guys that came in to look after JT, while he was hurt was Marek.  The two of them later fell in love and were happy for a bit, until Marek found out about JT’s powers,” Barbara stated as Chris sighed and then shook his head.

“How did he find out about JT’s powers?”  Joey asked, looking around as JT floated a few feet from him, emanating psychic energy around as he used his powers, trying to psychically locate Joshua and Tyler.

“One day, JT accidentally read his mind, discovering that Marek was a psychic and that he was also responsible for the terrorist attacks that caused his accident,” Wanda explained as Joey’s expression changed to a mean one.  “When JT found realized all that was going on, his darker side took control and he and Marek fought which led to JT ending up in a coma.”

“He ended up in a coma?”  Joey spoke, shaking his head.

“Yeah, he ended up in a coma.  While he was comatose, Marek possessed his body, the same way he possessed Justin’s and tried to use JT’s other powers to gain control of the world.  JT resisted and regained control of his body, putting Marek into a coma and then had his body locked away in a federal prison,” Wanda explained as Joey’s eyes widened.

“I’ve known him for a long time and he never told me about that,” Hank stated, looking down, his expression changing to a hateful one.

“Ah guys, it seems there’s something happening,” Chris said as he backed away, pointing at JT.  “Is he okay?”

“Don’t know, but we need to know what our next plan of action is going to be,” Wanda stated as JT’s eyes stopped glowing as he fell to the ground and started crying.

After The Glitter Fades – Chapter 16

Chapter 16 — Life’s End, Part 2

Jun 3, 2004 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Hotel Victoria – JT and Justin’s Hotel Room

Justin’s POV

Damn, I can’t believe all that I’ve seen and heard today.  When JT said that his life was crumbling down around him, maybe he was right about that.  The way things are going right now, something is happening and I don’t’ know how to fix any of it.  Hell, I don’t really know what to say to him or what to do in order to try to fix any of this mess.  If I were him, I probably would be freaking out more than he already is.

Since all of this crap started, he’s been acting a bit strange.  Is that a sign that our future together won’t be so great?  When we came back to our room, he started snapping at everyone around, including me.  Hell, he’s even threatened to cap a few of the hotel’s security guards if they came anywhere near him.  In the time that I’ve known him, I knew about his anger issues, but I don’t know what to even classify his actions as now.  This goes way beyond anger issues.  Since his so-called father showed up and started talking with him, his level of anger rose to a degree that I’ve never seen before.

Speaking of James, is this guy really his father?  Since I’ve known JT, it has always been him and Vanessa and no one else.  When someone would ask about his father, he would always say that his father was dead.  So, if his father is dead, who in the hell is this guy anyway?  Is he really JT’s dad or is this some guy that Vanessa was involved with?

“And you want to tell me all of this shit now?  Why now?  Why not when I was a kid?  Telling me that my mother blackmailed you into leaving isn’t a good damn answer!”  JT snapped as he got up and turned away from all of us.  “You have to go a little deeper than that, damn it!”

“Son, I didn’t’ want to leave you, but at that time, I had no choice,” James stated as he got up.  “I was in a bad place and I couldn’t—I couldn’t fight her.”

“What kind of bad place could you have been in, to not fight to keep your child in your damn life?”  JT asked.

“When—when I was told that your brother had died, I—I lost it,” James stated as I turned and looked at him.  “When the police came to the house that night and told me that Joshua was dead, my—my soul turned cold and I closed everyone out.  I turned to the sauce and let it rule me.”

“But you said my brother is alive, how can he be alive and dead at the same time?”  JT asked, folding his arms across his chest, watching James as I was getting confused also.

“Daniel Graves,” James stated as JT stopped moving and then turned around.  I’ve heard that name before, but where?

“What about him?”  JT asked, looking down as he shook his head.

“Daniel Graves is the man that…” James started as JT held up a hand, stopping him.

“Was mother’s manager and the man that caused so much hurt and pain in my life when I was a kid,” JT stated as I looked at him strangely.  “I hated that man with all of my heart, but there was nothing I could do to stop him at the time.  Anytime that he needed relief, he turned to me.”

“That man did what!?”  I snapped as James, Vanessa and JT looked at me.

“Oh God, you—you remember that?”  Vanessa asked, getting up from where she sat as she walked closer to JT as I looked at her, wondering what in the hell was wrong with her.

“Yes I remember that shit mother!  Do you think I would forget the person that took my innocence from me?”  JT asked as I shook my head, feeling the tears well up in my eyes.

“I—I think I need to go for a walk,” I said, turning around as I got up to walk to the door.

“No Justin, don’t go, please,” JT pleaded as he grabbed my arm, pulling me to him.  “I—I need you here with me.”

“Ah—okay baby,” I replied, wrapping my arms around him as he laid his head on my shoulder as his tears continued to flow, soaking through my shirt, wetting my chest.

“As you can see Justin, I—I’m really screwed up,” he said as he sniffled.  “Are you sure you want to marry a screwed up man like me?”

“Yes baby, I want to marry you, I love you,” I replied, rubbing his back.  “You’re the man that I love and want to be with.”

“But—but I’m so screwed up Justin.  How could you want to marry someone like me, that has all of this fucking drama going on?”  He asked.

“That’s life baby,” I replied, squeezing his shoulder as I kissed his lips.  “We can’t always control the things that happen in our lives.”

“No we can’t, but from this day forward, I’m going to do what I can to fix that,” he said as I looked at him, wondering what he meant by that.  How can he fix all of this drama?

“Meaning what baby?”  I said, wanting him to elaborate on his thoughts.

“Meaning I’m going to distance myself from those that have caused drama in my life,” he replied.

“Baby boy,” Vanessa spoke as I shook my head, wondering why the hell she wanted to speak now.

“No Mother, you are one of those people I will be distancing myself from,” he said as he moved away from me.  “You’ve been a constant bad factor in my life.  You’ve been one of the reasons for some of my bad decisions I’ve made in my life.”

“What!”  Vanessa exclaimed as I shook my head.

“If it wasn’t for the things that you’ve done, I wouldn’t have become an alcoholic,” JT stated, looking down as he shook his head and then sighed.  “Me being an alcoholic is a cause of why it was so easy for Heather and Marc to do what they did to me.  If it wasn’t because of my constant drinking, I wouldn’t have a kid in this world today.”

“Wait a minute!  You can’t blame that on me boy,” Vanessa said, shaking her head.  “I had nothing to do with Heather and Marc getting you drunk and drugging you up or whatever the hell it was they did to you.”

“Really Mother,” JT said as he shook his head and turned to face her.  “You don’t think you’re the cause of me becoming an alcoholic?”

“Hell no!”  Vanessa snapped as I shook my head again, wishing she would just shut the hell up.

“You allowed your damn manager to sexually use me on a regular basis, like I was some fucking whore on the damn street!”  JT snapped as James looked down while shaking his head.

“What I did was for the…” Vanessa started as JT shook his head.

“It wasn’t for the damn best, if that was what you were going to say!”  JT snapped, pointing his finger at Vanessa.  “You allowed that man to use me as he wished and from what your husband there said, you allowed the same thing to happen to my brother, the brother I forgot all about, because you two thought he was dead, but apparently that’s not the case, because he’s somewhere here in this hotel!”

“Son, I think you need to calm down,” James suggested as JT shook his head again.

“I don’t need to fucking calm down!”  JT snapped as he turned around.  “As of today, you’re out of here Mother and that’s final!  No more you in the John Poole world.  I won’t have you around me or anyone connected with me.”

“You can’t be serious boy,” Vanessa said as JT turned to her with a strange expression on his face.

“I’m serious as a fucking heart attack Mother,” he replied, looking down as he shook his head again.  “I can’t believe I didn’t notice that you two were stealing my money!”

“I—I earned every damn bit of that money!”  Vanessa snapped as JT sighed and then turned his back to her.

“Yep, I guess you did and that’s the only money you will ever see from me.  I hope you didn’t spend it all, because you won’t be riding on my coattails any damn longer!”  JT snapped as he smiled evilly.  “Try making your money the regular way, working for it.  You’re fired!”

“I’m your mother, you can’t fire me!”  Vanessa screamed as she lunged for JT as James stepped in and grabbed her.

“Remember what I said ‘Nessa,” I heard James say as I looked at him and Vanessa.

“As for you Marc, you were already fired and being that you’re in the same area as me, you’re currently violating the standing restraining order against you,” JT stated with a small smile.  “I’ll be sure to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law when we get back into the States.”

“Wait a minute!”  Marc screamed, stepping closer to JT as I moved closer to try to stop him from getting too close, just in case I needed to.  “If it wasn’t for me, you wouldn’t have your brother and your father in your life right now!”

“Bitch please, that so isn’t true,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “I already knew where that man was.”

“Well I—I helped get your brother into your life,” Marc stated as I shook my head.  This guy isn’t learning at all.  “You should be thanking me for that!”

“No Marc, I should be beating the hell out of you, but I’ll let the law do that instead,” JT stated as he turned to me.  “Everyone, get the hell out of here!”

“Wait a damn minute, this isn’t…” Vanessa said as JT shook his head and then pointed at the door.

“This is my and Justin’s hotel room.  Anyone in here that isn’t registered to this room needs to get the hell out!”  JT snapped as a phone in the room rang.

“Son,” James said as JT turned and walked away from him.  “John!”

“You may be my sperm donor, but I don’t see you as my father,” JT said as he looked down.  “You have no rights to talk to me.  I don’t see you as my father, so please leave!”

“Son please,” James said as JT shook his head.

“No man, no!”  JT snapped as he shook his head.  “You abandoned me and left me to fend for myself and…  Oh God, I’m doing the same thing to Caleb.”

“JT,” I said as he shook his head, held up his hand to me and then moved towards the door.

“I gotta go talk to Caleb,” he said as he left the room.

A Few Minutes Later – Ken’s Hotel Room

“Good evening JT, is there something wrong?”  Ken asked as he stood at the doorway, looking at JT.

“I need to see Caleb,” JT replied as he pushed Ken out of his way and walked into the room, looking around.

“JT, what’s going on?”  Ken asked as he followed behind JT.

“Caleb,” JT spoke as he walked further into the room.  “Caleb!”

“Daddy,” Caleb responded, rushing out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist as he stopped in front of JT. “Something wrong Daddy?”

“No,” JT replied as he wrapped his arms around Caleb.  “I just needed to see you.”

“Okay Daddy,” Caleb replied as he wrapped his arms around JT’s neck, lying his head on JT’s shoulder.

“JT, are you okay?”  Ken asked, watching the scene play out in front of him.

“I’m fine,” JT replied as he kissed the top of Caleb’s head and then released him.

“Are you sure about that?”  Ken asked as he stepped up behind JT.

“Yeah, I’m sure about that,” JT replied as he smiled at Caleb.

“Daddy, I got a present for you,” Caleb said as JT looked at him strangely.

“You have a present for me?  What kind of present?”  JT asked, looking up at Ken as Ken shrugged his shoulders.

“I—I saw you sing a song and I want to sing it to you,” Caleb said as he looked JT in the face.

“You want to sing me a song?”  JT asked as Caleb nodded his head quickly.  “Okay, go ahead.”

“Okay Daddy.  When I was young and I listened to you, your voice gave me inspiration,” Caleb sang as JT looked at him strangely. “That’s when I knew that I wanted to sing, for the world was my motivation.  I dedicate to you… this song is for you.  I give you my voice… I give you my voice, cause this song is for you and you and you.  Oh yeah.”

“Oh my,” JT responded, looking down as some tears fell from his eyes.  “I—I sang that song when I was a kid on the Mouse.”

“I know Daddy, I saw you sing it on the TV,” Caleb said as JT pulled him close and then hugged him again.

“Thank you for my present Caleb,” JT said as he kissed Caleb’s forehead as Ken watched as tears fell from his eyes too.  “You have a beautiful voice Caleb.”

“I got it from my Daddy,” Caleb said as JT laughed.

“I guess you did,” JT replied as he got up with Caleb in his arms.  “Why don’t you finish getting dressed and then we’ll watch TV for a bit.”

“Okay Daddy,” Caleb said as JT put him down on his own feet and he rushed back into the bathroom.

“Are you okay Ken?”  JT asked, looking at Ken as he wiped at his eyes.

“Yeah, I’m okay, just very happy right now,” Ken stated with a smile on his face as he moved closer to JT.  “So, why the change of heart JT?”

“I don’t want to turn out like my father and have my child hate me,” JT said as he looked down.  “Caleb’s not responsible for his mother’s actions and there’s really nothing he can do to change any of that, neither can I.  He’s here and I might as well live with that.”

“Good for you,” Ken said as the bathroom door opened as Caleb rushed back into the room and wrapped his arms around JT’s leg.

“You ready for TV Daddy?”  Caleb asked as JT looked down, laughed and then took Caleb’s hand, leading him towards the door.  “Where we going Daddy?”

“We’re going to hang out in my room.  We’ll watch TV there with Justin, your other father,” JT stated as Ken cracked a smile and then shook his head.

“You three have fun,” Ken said as Caleb and JT left the room.

A Local Pub in Town

Chris’ POV

Damn it, I never should’ve lost sight of those fools back at the airport in Jacksonville.  If I’d stayed close to them, like I should have, I wouldn’t be wandering around this damn town, trying to find Justin and that damn niggah JT.  With the way things went down, I thought the police and security was going to break things up and take everyone to jail, but that didn’t happen.  I’m on a mission right now and going to jail isn’t on the top of my list.  My main goal is to find Justin and stop him from doing anything with that damn fool.  The sooner I find him, the better my and Lynda’s lives will be.

“What can I get for you?”  The bartender asked, looking at me with a strange smile on his face.

“I’ll have whatever’s on tap,” I replied as he turned and got my drink and then slid the mug over to me.  “How much?”

“It’s on the house buddy,” the guy said, smiling brightly as he moved further down the counter to serve some others.

Cool, he seems nice, but I wouldn’t waste my time with him.  The only guy I’m interested in right now is Justin and possibly that guy I saw at the airport back in Jacksonville with that coon.  I must admit, if I wasn’t so hard up for Justin, I would be trying to get that guy to give me some time.  Damn, that guy is so fucking cute.  It seems like I know him from somewhere, but I can’t place where.  It’s like I’ve seen him somewhere before, but I don’t know… Maybe it’s just the fact that he’s hot as hell.

“Will there be anything else for you?”  The bartender asked, standing in front of me.

“Can I ask you something?”  I asked as he nodded.

“Sure, go ahead,” he replied as I pulled a picture of Justin from my pocket.

“Have you seen this guy around here recently?”  I asked as he looked at the picture and then smiled.

“Why in the world would Justin Tanner be here of all places?”  The guy asked, smiling as he folded his arms across his chest.

“He’s supposed to be here, shooting a new music video,” I replied, hoping to push the guy for some information.

“Oh cool,” the guy said with a smile.

“Yeah, I’m supposed to be helping him with that, but I can’t seem to find him or any of his video crew.  He’s supposed to be rounding up some locals to star in the video with him, but I can’t seem to find out where he’s hiding out at.  I think his phone is dead, because it keeps going to his voicemail.”

“I haven’t seen Justin Tanner, but I know there are some celebrities staying down at the Hotel Victoria,” the guy said with a smile.

“The Hotel Victoria, where’s that?”  I asked.

“It’s right down the street there,” the guy pointed towards the door.  “Just walk out of here, you can’t miss it.”

“Alright, thanks for the drink,” I said, taking a big swig of the beer and then hopping off the stool.

Finally, I’m making some progress.  I’ve been in this place for a whole day and I’m just now getting somewhere.  I hope this Hotel Victoria is the place where they are, because I’m getting tired of looking.  I’ll get there and if I find any signs of Justin, I’ll call Lynda and fill her in on things.

A Few Minutes Previously – Hotel Victoria – JT and Justin’s Hotel Room

“What’s going on Justin?”  Lance asked, walking into the room to see the sad expression on Justin’s face.  “Are you okay buddy?”

“I don’t know if I am or not,” Justin replied as he sighed and then shook his head.

“Tell your Jamie-Bear all about it,” Lance said as he walked over to the bed and then sat down as he patted the spot on the bed next to him.

“I don’t know if I can,” Justin replied as he moved over to the bed and then sat down next to Lance.  “I—I learned a lot of stuff about JT and his family today… Stuff that I never knew.”

“Is it bad?”  Lance asked as Justin sighed again.

“Bad doesn’t cover it,” Justin replied with a frown.

“Will it keep you two from being together?”  Lance asked.

“Possibly, I don’t know,” Justin replied as he looked down and sniffled.  “I think that stuff is the reason why we’ve had so many probably over the years.”

“Really?”  Lance said as he lifted Justin’s chin so he could look him in the face.  “The stuff you learned today, it shed some light on why he treated you the way he did when you guys were on the Mouse and afterwards?”

“Lance,” Justin said as he sighed and then got up from the bed.  “That wasn’t all him, I had something to do with that crap too.  The things that happened, it was both of our faults, not just his.”

“Justin, you told me that he used you and when he was done with you, he dropped you like a bad fucking habit,” Lance stated as Justin flinched at hearing that.

“It—it really wasn’t like that,” Justin stated as he looked down.

“What do you mean it really wasn’t like that?”  Lance asked, looking at Justin strangely.

“I—I only told you that because—because I wanted you to be pissed off with him the way I was.  I—I was mad and I didn’t want anyone liking him because of the way he treated me,” Justin stated as he looked down.

“So, how did he treat you back then, if I may ask?”  Lance asked.

“It—it was more like I slept with him and left him,” Justin stated as he looked down again.  “The first couple of times that we got together, I was the one that did the hit it and miss it thing.”

“What!”  Lance snapped as he stood up quickly as Justin sighed again.

“He only did me that way once, after I had done it to him multiple times,” Justin replied as Lance turned away from him.

“How many times did this happen Justin?”  Lance asked.

“Too many times to count,” Justin answered with a frown.  “Lance, I—I was scared.  I was scared that you guys and my family would hate me.”

“Wait a minute,” Lance said as he turned back around.  “That night that we slept together, because you were upset, were you upset because of something JT did or something you did?”

“Lance, it’s not like that,” Justin said as he shook his head.  “I…”

“Save it Justin,” Lance stated as he shook his head.  “I get the feeling that you’ve been a master manipulator for a very long time.”

“I wasn’t trying to manipulate anybody,” Justin stated as he sighed again.

“You manipulated me that night Justin.  I could’ve ruined everything I have with Joey, all because of that one night,” Lance stated as he turned away from Justin.

“I—I know and I’m sorry,” Justin replied as he reached out to Lance as Lance moved away from him.  “That night opened my eyes to what I really want—wanted.”

“Yeah right,” Lance said as he shook his head.

“I’m not lying,” Justin replied as he shook his head.  “That night we hooked up, I was mad as hell at JT, because I’ve always loved him and…”

“Save it Justin,” Lance said as he sighed and then walked towards the door.

“No Lance, I’m being truthful here.  I’ve always loved JT,” Justin stated as a tear rolled down his cheek.  “From the first day we met, I—I’ve had this thing for him.  I never knew what it was, but I knew it was something.  Anytime I was around him, I couldn’t help not to stare at him.  I was so far gone, I was fucking up my lines during rehearsal that the directors and producers would take me out of the scenes with him.”

“Really,” Lance said as he looked down.

“JT has always been that guy that I wanted and that night we shared, showed me that he was—is the one that I want in my life, the way you have Joey in yours,” Justin stated.  “If it wasn’t for the fact that I was younger than him, I would’ve gone after him when we first met, but neither of us needed that kind of trouble back then.”

“I—I think I’m going to go ahead and call it a night,” Lance said as the door to the room opened as JT and Caleb walked in.

“Hi Lance,” JT said with a small smile on his face.

“Ah hi there JT,” Lance replied with a wave.

“Lance, I would like to introduce you to my son, this is Caleb,” JT stated as Caleb waved.  “Caleb, this is one of Justin’s friends, this is Lance Banks.”

“Hi,” Caleb said as Lance reached out and shook his hand.

“Hi there,” Lance said as he smiled and then turned around.  “You guys have fun; I have something else to take care of.  It was nice meeting you Caleb.  Good night guys.”

“Good night Lance,” JT stated as he shrugged his shoulders as Lance walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.  “Justin, are you okay?”

“I’m okay baby,” Justin replied as he looked down at Caleb.  “How are you little man?”

“Fine,” Caleb replied as he and Justin high-fived.

“Now that we’re here, let’s get to watching TV,” JT said as he and Caleb walked into the main part of the room and hopped up on the bed.  “What are we going to watch?”

“Something funny Daddy,” Caleb replied as Justin lied down on the bed behind JT and then kissed the back of his neck.

The Chastayne Life – Chapter 1

Chapter 1 — The Fear of Love

Jan 1, 2015 — Albany, NY — The Chastayne Family Estate — The Backyard

“Well, it’s about damn time that you showed up,” Hillary Chastayne, the eldest female of the Clastayne children spoke as she walked over and hugged one of the two men that had entered the yard.  “So bro, what did you bring me back from Paris?  I know you went shopping, so you might as well give it up already.”

“Of course we went shopping, but we didn’t bring you anything back with us,” one of the men replied as the other man looked down and then snickered at the shocked expression on the woman’s face.

“Come on, you’re joking, right bro?”  Hillary said as she cut her eyes at the man.  “I can’t believe you didn’t bring me anything back with you JT.  You—you always bring me something back when you go out of the country.  I… Damn, I’m speechless here.”

“Yeah right, like that’ll last very long,” JT, currently the eldest male of the Chastayne children stated as he laughed and then shook his head.  “You can’t keep quiet for longer than a minute girl, so don’t even try it.”

“Fuck you JT,” Hillary spoke as she crossed her arms across her chest.  “So, you didn’t bring me a single thing?  Not one simple, little gift?  You didn’t bring me anything at all?  What about you Alex?  Did you bring me anything?”

“No, he didn’t bring you anything either,” JT replied as he shook his head.  “We’re not your personal shoppers Ms. Thang.  We didn’t bring you anything at all, so stop asking.”

“Believe it girl,” the other man identified as Alex spoke as he turned around and then chuckled as Hillary glared in his direction and then displayed the middle finger.  “My husband can’t be wasting time, trolling through stores, looking for gifts for you; he’s supposed to do that for me only.”

“Fine then, be that way jerk,” Hillary said as she turned her back to the two men.  “You’re useless to me anyways.”

“Oh whatever Hill; you’ll get over it eventually,” JT said as he walked up behind Hillary.  “Besides, I didn’t buy you anything, but you’ll be getting something real soon.”

“What?  Really?  What is it?”  Hillary asked as she threw her arms around JT’s neck, hugging him.

“I’m not going to tell you, but I suggest you go here later on tonight and you’ll find out,” JT suggested as he handed Hillary a business card with someone’s name scribbled on it as Alex sighed and then shook his head.  “Please be there before nine or you might not get anything at all.”

“Why do I get the feeling that this is some kind of set up?”  Hillary asked as she looked at JT strangely.

“In a way, it is a set up girl. Just be there on time or else,” JT said as he looked over the rim of his glasses at her.  “Do as you’re told and you might find something very interesting.”

“Hmmm, the way you’re talking, it better be worth my time bro,” Hillary stated as she looked at JT.  “It better be worth a whole lot.  Worth a whole lot, if you know what I mean.”

“Damn girl, just take it and go on,” Alex said as he sighed and then shook his head.  “You already know what it’s for, stop acting like…”

“Behave Alex,” JT said as Alex turned around and then walked towards the gate.  “Alex?  Alex wait!”

“Let his ass go JT,” Hillary said as she walked over to the outdoor bar, picked up the bottle of wine that sat there and then poured herself a drink.  “You know Mommy and Daddy don’t really like him.  Let him go on about his business.”

“Hush up girl, you know I love him, he’s part of my family,” JT said as he looked down.

“Can you really call what you two do, love JT?”  Hillary asked, looking JT in the face as she took a sip of her drink.  “You know people don’t consider what you two have as a real family.”

“It’s love, just like anybody else in love,” JT said as he glared at his sister, looking as if he wanted to smack her.  “I’m not going to have this argument with you again.”

“You might want to have that argument with Daddy,” Hillary said as she shook her head, pointed her finger at him and then took a sip of her drink.  “He’s waiting for you in hi study upstairs.”

“He’s what?  Why didn’t you tell me that little tidbit earlier when we got here?”  JT asked as he shook his head.  “I’m really not in the mood for hearing one of his damn lectures about being on time and how important it is to be punctual.  He just loves pointing out when people make him wait.”

“Well, you might as well settle on in for the long haul bro, you just might hear one,” Hillary stated as JT sighed and then walked away as he headed into the house.  “It serves his ass right for not bringing me an actual present back from Paris.  I bet he bought that faggot everything he wanted.  I hope Daddy kicks his ass.”

A Few Minutes Later — Inside the House — The Upstairs Study

“Come on in here boy,” James Chastayne, the patriarch of the Chastayne family spoke as he stood up behind his desk.  “I expected you here a few hours ago.”

“I’m sorry Dad, I wasn’t aware that you were here, waiting for me,” JT stated as he walked into the room as he closed the door behind him.  “So Dad, what’s on your mind?”

“Sit down boy,” James suggested as he pointed to the chair in front of his desk as he took a seat in his own.

“Ah, I think I’d rather stand,” JT replied as James looked up at him and then motioned at the chair again.  “Dad…”

“Sit your ass down boy!”  James harshly demanded as JT shook his head and then sat down.  “I’m in no mood for your diva-styled antics right now, so zip it up boy.”

“Dad…” JT said as he stood back up from the chair as James stood up also.

“Shut up boy!”  James snapped as he pointed his finger at JT.  “Sit your ass down and you better not move an inch.  Because you think you’re a damn man, doesn’t mean I can’t knock the hell outta you!”

“Fine,” JT said as he sat back down.  “What’s the problem now Dad?”

“The problem is you, as always,” James replied as he looked at JT closely.

“Excuse me!”  JT snapped as James’ eyes widened a bit.

“You and that white man—the white man that you’re with is the big problem I have to deal with,” James stated as he looked over at JT.  “Before I go any further, I would like to know why in the hell you were seen in Australia, acting as if you don’t have any damn responsibilities here… What kind of hold does that damn white man have on you son?”

“Love,” JT replied as he shook his head and then looked down.  “We love each other Dad.  If that’s what you call a hold, then yeah, we have that hold over each other.”

“That’s not natural boy,” James stated as he looked at JT.  “If your grandfather was here to see you, he would be ashamed of you.”

“He’s not here, so oh well,” JT said as James got up from his chair and made a move to hit him, but stopped himself and then turned around, breathing deeply as he moved back over to his chair and then sat down as he crossed his leg over the other one.

“One of these days… One of these days you’re going to sass me and I’m not going to have the self-control I have right now, to remain as calm as I am,” James stated as he looked down, picked up a handkerchief from his desk and then wiped at his forehead.  “You’re going to cross me wrong one of these days and there won’t be any more you.”

“So Dad, what are you trying to say?”  JT asked as he leaned closer to the desk with his face in his hand with his elbow on the desk.

“Boy…” James said as JT held up his hand.

“Dad, are you saying that if I don’t conform to the way you want me to be, you’ll kill me?  Is that it Dad?”  JT asked as he jumped up from the chair, knocking it over.  “So, what is it Dad?  You want me to act more like Hillary?  Do you want me out there, sleeping with anything that moves, using people for their money?  Oh wait, or do you want me to be more like Derrick?  Do you want me acting like a thug in the street, trying to kill people and getting money out of them in fear?  Do you want me like him?”

“I ought to…” James said as JT shook his head.

“But as you know, he’s no longer with us.  So Dad how is it that you want me to be?”  JT asked, both of his hands on the desk as he looked at James closely.

“How dare you!  How dare you talk ill of the dead like that!  Don’t you have any kind of respect for your brother?”  James asked as he got up from the chair, getting in JT’s face.  “Your—your brother was a fine young man that knew how to act like a man, of which you know nothing about.  He knew how to get things done, the way you should, but you don’t!”

“I get it.  You want me out there in the streets, running hoes and slinging dope, is that it Dad?”  JT asked as he moved away from the desk and then walked towards the door.  “Sorry Dad, but I want to live a little bit longer and going to jail isn’t an option for me or my kids.”

“Hold the fuck up boy!  Where do you think you’re going?  I’m not done with you!”  James snapped.

“I think I’ve heard enough for one day,” JT said as he opened the door.  “When you want to have a civil conversation with me, let me know, that’s when I’ll return here.”

“If you walk out that door boy, you’ll be sorry,” James said as he slammed his hand down on the desk.

“I guess I’ll be sorry then.  My husband and our children are waiting for me,” JT stated as he walked through the door, closing it shut behind him.

Half An Hour Later — A Car on a Deserted Highway

“So, are you going to tell me why you’re being so quiet right now?”  Alex Donovan, JT’s lover and husband asked as he placed a hand over JT’s knee.  “You haven’t spoke a word since we left your family’s estate.”

“Fine, a word,” JT replied as he looked down.

Alex’s POV

Damn, whatever happened between him and his Dad must’ve been a real big deal.  For him to be acting like this right now, it must’ve been monumental.  I wonder what happened between them.  When it comes to JT’s family, anything is possible.

“That’s real funny handsome, but that’s not what I meant,” I said as I slowed the car down, pulled over to the side of the highway and then turned the engine off.

“Why did you stop Alex?”  He asked as he turned and looked at me.  “If you don’t get back on the road, we’re going to be late getting to where we need to be.  We don’t need to keep our boys waiting.”

“I’m sure Caleb and Mason will be fine until we get to them,” I said as he sighed.  “What did Sir James say to you?”

“It doesn’t really matter Alex,” he replied and then sighed again.  “Just get back on the road before it gets too late.”

“Come on babe, I would like to know what’s going on with you,” I said as I lifted his chin and then kissed his lips.

“As always, Dad isn’t happy that I’m with you and says that it’s not natural that we’re together,” he said with a frown as I kind of figured that conversation would rear its ugly head again between him and his father.  His dad is always spewing homophobic crap at him about the two of us being together.  One of these days, he’ll learn his lesson and keep his mouth shut.  “He asked why in the hell was I in Australia.”

“Well did you tell him that you were there with me?”  I asked.

“No, I didn’t have to tell him that, he already knew,” he replied as I wondered how he would know that.  “I guess he wanted to talk about that, but I left before I told him anything about why we were there.”

“Why?”  I asked, wondering what could’ve happened that would make him leave his father abruptly.

“He actually had the damn gall to threaten to kill me,” he replied, my eyes widening with fear upon hearing that.  “He didn’t actually say he would kill me, but he alluded to it.  He said that there would be no more me if I continued sassing him.  He acts like I’m some kind of mindless slave or something.  I’m a grown ass man; I can say and do whatever the hell I want!”

“When it comes to your Dad, maybe you should just be quiet and not say anything to make him angrier than he normally is,” I said, wondering what else was said to him while he was with his father.  “I don’t want to lose you baby…”

“You’re not going to lose me handsome,” he said as I shook my head.

“Come on baby, please don’t piss that crazy ass man off,” I said as he looked at me closely.  “Don’t do anything that would cause him to do something stupid.  So please baby, don’t piss him off.”

“Just living my life the way I do, pisses him off Alex,” he replied as he looked up at me as I saw a few tears in his eyes.  “He’ll never be happy with me, ever!”

“Are—are you happy with you baby?”  I asked, wondering if my husband really loved himself or not.  “Are you okay being a gay man?”

“You already know I’m happy being a gay man.  If I wasn’t happy being gay, do you think I would’ve married you?”  He asked, looking at me with a weak smile on his face.  “I’m just sad that I have a fucked up family that does what it can to cause unneeded stress, drama and problems for me, for us.”

“Well I’m not worried about that baby and you shouldn’t either,” I told him.  “There’s nothing your father, family or his friends can ever do to run me off.”

“Yeah right, just give it some time Alex,” he said with a frown.  “I know my family and I know what they’re capable of.”

“What I already know of your family is enough to turn me off of the rest of the Chastayne family, but I’ll always love you, no matter what,” I told him, leaning in and kissing his mouth.

“You say that now,” he said as his cell phone rang.  “I’m not in the mood for talking to anyone, so I’m just going to let that go to voicemail.”

“Baby, don’t let your family get you down,” I said, rubbing his neck as I leaned closer and kissed his forehead.  “I don’t need you getting down and depressed because of the actions of the high and mighty Chastayne family.”

“Regardless of what you say, I’m part of that family and I always will be.  There’s no changing that Mr. Donovan,” he said with a sigh as he shook his head.  “Let’s just go before it gets too late.  The boys are waiting for us.”

“Okay baby,” I said, starting the engine and pulling back onto the highway so we could go pick up our kids.

A Few Miles Away — Another Highway

Dylan’s POV

“Hey baby, how are things going with you?”  I asked my boyfriend, caressing his cheek as I leaned in close to kiss his lips as he sighed and then pushed me backwards away from him.  “Baby?”

“So, why are we here Dylan?  Why in the hell are you meeting me here, on this abandoned damn highway and not at that big fancy house that you live in on the hill?”  He asked.  “Why are we parked out here, miles from town, on this damn highway of all places?”

“This—this was the safest place for us to meet,” I replied as he sighed again, shook his head and then turned his back to me, looking out the window.

“I—I’m tired of this shit Dylan, really I am,” he said as he crossed his arms across his chest and then made a move to open the car door as I grabbed his hand, stopping him.  “Why are you stopping me Dylan?  I don’t want to be here, not like this!”

“I—I’m sorry baby, but…” I said as he interrupted me.

“Why—why can’t we be open like everyone else?  Isn’t your brother John open with his lover?”  He asked.

“John is open, but everyone in the family hates him,” I said with a frown.  “I don’t want to be on the receiving end of that kind of hatred from them.  Hell, they already don’t like me as it is because I’m white.”

“I don’t believe that Dylan,” he said as he turned around in the seat, looking at me.

“Believe it Alan,” I said as he shook his head and then looked down.  “They—they treat me totally different than everyone else in the family.”

“How do they treat you differently?”  He asked.

“They don’t really share anything with me,” I replied as I looked down at my hands.  “I really don’t know what the Chastayne family business really is; I just know that it’s real hush-hush.”

“Oh please,” he said as he shook his head again.  “That’s not a secret Dylan and you know it.”

“Oh here we go,” I said as he looked at me and then turned back around in the seat.

“Oh here we go what Dylan?  It’s not like you don’t know that your Dad dabbles in criminal activities.  Hell, you know that he owns those night clubs on the east side of town and you know he’s running drugs and whores through each and every one of them.  I hope you don’t think that law office downtown is the real deal with the Chastayne family,” he said as I shook my head.

“I don’t know Alan, that’s what I’m talking about.  If that’s what’s really going on, then I don’t really know, mainly because no one in the family will actually say anything to me.  I’m the outsider in the Chastayne family.  I’m not really one of them, so they treat me differently,” I told him as he sighed and then shook his head.

“You can’t be that naïve Dylan,” he said, placing a hand on my leg.

“You call it being naïve; I call it being in the dark about what everyone else knows that I don’t.  It’s always been like that Alan,” I said as he just looked at me.

“Fine Dylan, if you didn’t know, I just told you,” he said as placed a finger under my chin and lifted my face so I could see his eyes.  “If you don’t believe me, maybe it’s time you go find out for yourself.”

“Meaning what baby?”  I asked as he sighed and then shook his head.

“If you want to find out what it is that your family does, maybe it’s time you go find out on your own,” He said as he grabbed my hand, rubbing the top of my fingers.  “You know, be a little bit nosey and proactive on your own.  Better yet, I’m sure your brother John will help you out with that.  From what I hear around, he’s not too keen on what your Dad does either.  Why not talk to him?”

“Me and John… We… We don’t get along very well,” I said, wondering why we didn’t get along.  I don’t’ remember ever doing anything bad or wrong to him, so why doesn’t he like me?

“I don’t believe that Dylan,” he said as he sighed again.  “Just talk to him and see what he’ll tell you.”

“Why don’t we just change the subject baby?  I would rather talk about us, not what the Chastayne family does, while my back is turned,” I said as he shook his head again and then sighed.

“There’s really nothing to talk about, pertaining to us that is,” he said as he looked at me.  “Every time we see each other, we’re either in the car on a deserted damn highway like tonight, meeting up at a hotel in the next town over or you pop up at my place late at night where no one could see.  Besides that, there’s really nothing new.  Nothing ever changes with…”

“I—I hope to change that one day Alan, I really do,” I said, leaning in and kissing his lips.  “I want to be able to be with you in the open, but—but as I said, I’m not ready for that kind of hatred.”

“If you love me, like you claim you love me, then isn’t that kind of so-called hatred worth it?”  He asked.

“I—I, Alan…” I said as he shook his head again, unsnapped the seatbelt and then opened the door.  “Alan, wait baby…”

“No Dylan, no!  It seems I’m not worthy of having your love!”  He snapped as he got out of the car and then slammed the door shut, causing the window to shatter and break.  “I’ve had enough of this madness Dylan Chastayne!  I’m tired of waiting around for you to see the damn light!”

“Alan, please…” I said as I got out of the car and followed behind him as he walked down the highway.

“Leave me the hell alone Dylan!”  He snapped, shooting me the bird as he kept walking down the highway as a car passed the two of us.  Oh great, someone has seen us.  “Go on back to your rich family and forget that you ever knew me!”

“I—I can’t forget that I ever knew you, I love you Alan Quatermane,” I said, hoping that would snap him back to reality.

“That’s a bit lie Dylan!  You don’t know what love is!”  He snapped as he turned to me as I noticed he was crying.  “I—I can’t keep doing this to myself.  I—I want someone in my life that wants to be with me, that can be with me, without hiding and that’s not you and it never will be!”

“That—that can be me Alan, just please—please give me a chance here and let me do things my way,” I said as he shook his head.

“No Dylan, I’ve given you chance after chance and yet, here we fucking are!”  He yelled as he turned back around as I grabbed his hand and then pulled him to me, kissing his lips quickly as he melted into my arms, flowing into the kiss.  “Dylan, I—I don’t want to hide my love for you.”

“I don’t want to hide either,” I said as he sighed and then turned his gaze away from mine.

“Then don’t” was all he said as he pulled away from me.

A Few Miles Down the Road

Hillary’s POV

What in the hell is wrong with this damn picture here?  Are my eyes deceiving me here?  It seems my little brother Dylan has a secret of his own.  Why in the hell is he carrying on with that guy, in the middle of the damn highway like that?  Why in the hell didn’t he take that shit to a private place, like a hotel or someplace?  From what I can see and what I heard, the two of them are having an argument.  I wonder what has the both of them on edge so much.

I wonder if he’s told anyone about his secret.  I’m sure Daddy doesn’t know, being that he hasn’t made any off the wall comments about him and he’s still alive.  Hell, he must be good at what he does, I didn’t even know and I’m good at figuring out fags when they are around me.  Being that there hasn’t been any fighting at the estate, I’m sure he hasn’t told anyone about this new development in his life.  Seems little brother is like big brother.  When Daddy finds this shit out, he’s going to go through the fucking roof.  Then again, being that Dylan isn’t really his son, maybe he won’t.

Oh sweet little Dylan, what am I going to do with you?  Wait, this could work to my advantage, if I play my cards right.  Being that Daddy sees gay men as being unnatural and nasty, I’m sure I can get Dylan to do my bidding, just to keep his secret from Daddy.  I wonder just what I can get him to do for me?

Late Evening — The Chastayne-Donovan Home — The Kitchen

“So, with all that you’ve told me tonight, about what happened between you and your Dad, are you going to work in the morning?” Alex asked as he walked over to the stove and looked JT in the face.  “Are you going to be around him, where he could possibly do something to hurt you baby?”

“Yes, I’m going to work in the morning baby,” JT replied as he turned his gaze away from Alex.  “There isn’t a week that goes by that my Dad or somebody in the Chastayne family…”

“I know you might be used to them threatening you, but this threat came from the big man, your dad of all people,” Alex said as he shook his head.

“Come on baby, I’m totally used to that sort of thing. I’m sure the threats he made are just that, threats and nothing more than that,” JT stated as Alex sighed.

“I’m not ready to take the chance that this will be the time that he carries out his threats against you,” Alex said as he wrapped his arms around JT’s waist.  “Caleb, Mason and I need you, we can’t lose you now.”

“You and the boys aren’t going to lose me,” JT stated as he put down the knife and then turned to Alex.  “I wish you’d stop worrying about things that aren’t going to happen.”

“It’s hard not to worry when there are crazy people in the world that make threats against my husband’s life on a regular basis.  You might not worry about it baby, but I do.  Because you don’t worry about those crazy family members threatening you, I worry about them following through on their words and killing you, because they can,” Alex said as he turned away from JT as JT grabbed his hand, puling him close and turning him around as he noticed the tears in his eyes.  “I love you baby, but your family scares me.  You may not take them seriously, but I do baby.”

“I know you do baby.  They used to scare me too, but I don’t worry about them anymore,” JT said as he laid his head on Alex’s shoulder.  “Besides, I have a strong husband to protect me.”

“Oh, now I’m your strong husband,” Alex said with a smile.  “Last night you said I was weak when we were watching those scary movies.”

“Ha, you were a wimp last night baby,” JT said with a smile.  “You were acting like Freddy and Jason were actually coming to get you.  They would have to go through me first to get to you.  I’m the only one that plagues your dreams handsome, you got that?”

“Ha ha ha, real funny baby,” Alex said as JT laughed.

“Yeah, I thought it was.  It’s getting late, are the boys tucked in and asleep?”  JT asked as he rubbed Alex’s tummy.

“Yes, our little bundles of energy are tucked in and asleep,” Alex replied as he turned his head slightly and kissed JT’s lips.  “Why don’t we hurry this along and get up to bed as well?”

“Hmmm, it sounds like someone is feeling a bit frisky,” JT stated as he turned back to finish what he was doing.  “When I’m done preparing things for tomorrow’s outing for Caleb’s class, I’ll be right up.  Why don’t you go ahead and get the bed warm for us and…”

“Are you sure baby?”  Alex asked.

“Yeah baby, I’m sure,” JT replied as he started on something else.  “I have one more batch to do and I’ll be done.  I shouldn’t have told Mrs. Garvey I’d help with their class outings if I’d known she would have me doing this sort of stuff.”

“I tried to warn you baby,” Alex said as he laughed, kissing JT’s cheek as he waved and then walked up the back stairs.

“Yeah yeah whatever, just go warm up that bed,” JT said as he continued what he was doing.

Chapter 15 — Life’s End, Part 1

Jun 3, 2004 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Hotel Victoria – Vanessa’s Hotel Room

Vanessa’s POV

“Oh come now Vanessa.  This is your old friend Marc that you’re talking to here,” he said as he clapped his hands together.  “I know you Vanessa.  I know how you operate and how your mind works.  I’ve known you for a very long time and I know that your heart moves with money.”

“What in the hell are you trying to pull here Marc?”  I asked as he turned around, looking like he has just won the lottery.

“I’m not trying to pull anything Vanessa,” he replied as he shook his head.  “That man in the picture is here in the hotel.”

“What,” I said, looking at the picture again and then back at him.

“Yeah, he’s here with someone else I’m sure you’ll know,” he said, rubbing his palms together.

“Who would that be?”  I asked as someone pounded on the door.

What in the hell is going on with people not knowing how to properly knock on a damn door like regular people?  What is Marc trying to pull here?  That man in the picture isn’t little Joshua, it can’t be.  He died, I saw him die.  The person in that picture looks to be a full-grown man, so why is Marc here, trying to create this…

“Snap out of it Vanessa, you might want to answer that,” he said as I walked over to the door.  “I’m sure you’re about to get some answers to the questions in your damn head.”

“Whatever,” I said, opening the door and stepping back quickly.

What in the hell is going on here?  I surely wasn’t expecting to see this damn man here.  How did he get here?  He’s supposed to be dead!  The last time I saw him, he was on a damn floor, in a damn hotel room, dead.  Hell, Marc has the proof of that… Wait a damn minute.  Did Marc help him out of that hotel room?

“Hello ‘Nessa,” James said as he glared at me as he stepped into the room as I turned and looked back at Marc and then back at James.

“Surprise!”  Marc yelled as he clapped his hands together and then walked over to James.  “I’m sure you two have a lot to catch up on and all.  I think I’ll give you two some alone time, to discuss old times and stuff.”

“No, wait!”  I snapped as Marc turned and looked at me strangely.

“Wait for what Vanessa?”  Marc asked, looking at me with a sly smile on his face.  “You didn’t want to do things my way, so now I’m sure you’ll have to do things his way.  Have fun Vanessa.”

“So, you probably thought you got rid of me, didn’t you ‘Nessa,” James said as he leered at me.  “Momma always told me to watch myself around you.  I guess I should’ve listened to her.”

“Guess you should have,” I said as he shook his head.

“Was all the shit you’ve done in your life really worth it ‘Nessa?”  He asked, walking around me as I moved towards the door, not knowing what this fool was considering doing, being that I shot him a few times and left him for dead in a hotel room, the last time he saw me.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about James,” I said as he shook his head.

“I’m talking about you allowing our children to be used for your own means of gaining stardom, gratification and wealth,” James said as he sighed and then looked down.  “Who is that man ‘Nessa?”

“I don’t know who he is,” I replied.

“Is he really our boy ‘Nessa?”  He asked. “Is that man my son or did my son die?  Which is it woman?”

“I—I saw Joshua die,” I replied as the tears rolled down my cheeks.

“Then why do I feel that man down the way is my son?”  He asked, shaking his head.  “With all the shit I know, why do I get the feeling that the tables were turned on you ‘Nessa.  If I didn’t know any better, I’d think Daniel played you and made you believe something he wanted you to believe and he tricked you.”

“I…” I started as he looked at me and then slapped me across the face.

“Shut up woman!”  He snapped.  “I vowed out ‘Nessa, but I’m stepping back into things.  I let you bully me out of my children’s lives, but that stage is over.  It’s time for a change and I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s time for you to make an exit, now.”

“What are you talking about James?”  I asked as he moved closer to me, acting as if he was going to hit me again.

“You know what I’m talking about ‘Nessa!”  He snapped, shaking his head as he pushed me down to the floor and then hovered over me.  “I’m not going to allow you to keep hurting my son—sons!”

“I…” I started as he slapped me across the face again, startling me a bit as I could taste blood in my mouth.

“I don’t want to hear your funky ass excuses!  You allowed that damn man to molest our boys, so you could go on to be the star that you wanted to be!  You allowed Daniel to do only God knows what to our boys and I won’t allow you to keep hurting them!”  He screamed.

“I’m not hurting…” I said as he shook his head and then pointed his finger in my face.

“I know about the money laundering scam you and Marc have going on and I know about you skimming money off the top.  Your criminal activities are going to stop woman.  With all the shit that I know, you’re going away.  You can choose to go my way or you can go the legal way.  Which is it woman?  You pick your way of leaving!”  He screamed, still pointing his finger in my face.

A Few Hours Later – Philadelphia, PA – Penn Medicine – Heather’s ICU Room

“Hello Ms. Stewart, how are you doing?”  Detective Warren Charles asked, stepping into the room to see Heather in a sitting position on the bed.

“Ah, hello Detective Charles,” Heather spoke as she looked at the man strangely.  “What do I owe the displeasure of seeing you again?”

“I told you that you would be seeing me again and here I am,” Detective Charles stated with a smile as he tipped his hat.

“Why am I seeing you today?”  Heather asked, looking at the man as he grabbed the chair and then sat down in it.

“I have some more questions for you,” Detective Charles stated as he opened his blazer and pulled a notepad from his pocket.

“I don’t want to answer any questions you have for me,” Heather stated as Detective Charles smiled and then got up from the chair as Heather watched him.

“Well in that case, Ms. Stewart, I am sorry to say, you’re under arrest,” Detective Charles stated as he pulled a pair of handcuffs from his belt buckle and walked towards Heather.

“I haven’t done anything to be arrested for,” Heather stated as she kept her eyes on Detective Charles.

“Ms. Stewart, you’re under arrest for criminal assault and felony rape,” Detective Charles stated as he looked at Heather.  “Ms. Stewart, please stand up.”

“What!  I’m not about to let you arrest me for something I haven’t done!”  Heather snapped as Detective Charles shook his head.

“You can either be arrested by me right now or I’ll have a few officers drag your ass out of here, kicking and damn screaming,” Detective Charles stated with a smile.  “You can pick which way you go Ms. Stewart, but either way, you’re under arrest.”

“Why—why are you doing this to me?”  Heather asked as a few tears rolled down her cheeks.

“I’m not doing anything to you Ms. Stewart, you did this,” Detective Charles stated as he stood in front of Heather.  “You’re under arrest for felony rape…”

“No I am not, I didn’t rape anyone to be arrested for,” Heather stated with a sigh.

“Come now Ms. Stewart, you raped a man and you have a child as proof of that rape,” Detective Charles stated.  “Do you deny that you have a child with Mr. John Poole?”

“No, I don’t deny that I have a child with him,” Heather replied with a frown.

“Then as I was saying Ms. Stewart, you’re under arrest for felony rape,” Detective Charles stated as he pulled a small card from his pocket and then read Heather her Miranda Rights and then pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number.  “Yes, this is Detective Warren Charles.  I’m currently at Penn Med and I need a car for a prisoner transport.”

“Hello Heather, are you ready to leave?”  Shannon asked, walking into the room and then stopping when she saw Detective Charles.  “Ah, what’s going on here?”

“I—I’m being arrested,” Heather replied.

“You’re being arrested, for what?”  Shannon asked, looking at Heather strangely as she looked over at Detective Charles.

“He—he said I’m under arrest for raping JT,” Heather replied with a frown as Detective Charles closed his phone.

“Say what?  You didn’t rape JT.  A woman can’t rape a man,” Shannon stated as Detective Charles looked at her strangely and then shook his head.

“And you are,” Detective Charles spoke as he looked at Shannon closely.

“I’m her friend,” Shannon replied as she moved over to Heather.

“And your name is,” Detective Charles said as he pushed his cell phone into his pocket.

“I’m Shannon Tate,” Shannon replied as Detective Charles smiled at her.

“Ms. Tate, in this matter, I would advise you to mind your own business or I will charge you with obstruction,” Detective Charles stated as he pointed his finger at Shannon.

“Why would you charge me with obstruction?  I haven’t done anything wrong and neither has Heather,” Shannon stated as Detective Charles shook his head again.

“You’re interfering with the operation of a law official,” Detective Charles stated, looking at Shannon.  “You’ve been warned.  If I say anything more to you, I’ll take you in, along with her.”

“Shannon, just be quiet and go call my lawyer,” Heather stated as she looked down and sighed.

“Both of you are going to need a lawyer,” Detective Charles stated as Shannon’s eyes widened just as his cell phone rang.  “This is Detective Charles, what’s up?”

“I can’t let this man take me to jail,” Heather stated as Shannon looked at her.  “If I go to jail, what will happen to Caleb?”

“This can’t be happening,” Shannon stated as she kept her eyes on Detective Charles.  “This is only giving JT more ammunition to use against you in taking Caleb away.”

“He’s not going to try to take Caleb away from me,” Heather stated, shaking her head as Detective Charles walked to a corner of the room.

“You don’t know what that man is planning to do,” Shannon stated as she shook her head.

“I know he won’t try to take Caleb from me,” Heather stated, looking down at her handcuffed hands.  “He wouldn’t do something like that to hurt me.”

“Are you out of your mind girl?”  Shannon asked, looking at Heather strangely.  “You’ve been arrested; I believe JT is the cause of that.  How else would you be getting arrested for supposedly raping him, when you didn’t?  He’s the only one that believes you did something so vile as that.”

“Ladies, it’s time for you to can your conversation, your chariot downtown to jail awaits,” Detective Charles stated with a smile as Shannon sighed.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Hotel Victoria – Vanessa’s Hotel Room

“So, what do you want me to do James?”  Vanessa asked, looking at James.

“I want you to get out of his—their lives “Nessa!”  James snapped, grabbing Vanessa by the collar of her shirt and pulling her up off the floor, literally dragging her towards the balcony as he kicked the door open.

“What in the hell are you doing?”  Vanessa asked as James held her against the railing of the balcony.

“I’m helping you make a decision woman!”  James snapped as the sound of banging could be heard.  “You can make the decision to leave or I can help you leave, like you helped me!”

“Alright James!”  Vanessa screamed as James moved back from her as she rubbed at her neck and then moved away from him quickly, rushing back into the room as the banging on the door got louder and persistent.

“Open this door mother!”  Vanessa and James heard as Vanessa’s eyes widened.

“You heard what our son said ‘Nessa, go ahead and let him in,” James stated with a smile.  “Go ahead and let him in and you be sure to make a good introduction for me.”

“James, I…” Vanessa started as James shook his head.

“No ‘Nessa, go ahead and open the door.  I want to talk with my son,” James stated as Vanessa looked down, walking slowly towards the door as it suddenly burst open as JT and Justin fell to the floor.

“Vanessa, are you all right?”  Justin asked, looking up at Vanessa and then over at James.  “Did we interrupt something?”

“No,” Vanessa replied as JT and Justin got up from the floor.

“Got a new boyfriend Vanessa?”  Justin asked, looking at Vanessa as JT shook his head as Vanessa raised an eye at him.

“Mother,” JT said as Vanessa sighed.

“Hello John Timothy, how you been?”  James asked, stepping closer to JT.

“I don’t know you like that guy, for you to be calling me by my whole name.  That name is only reserved for my mot…” JT stated as James interrupted him.

“For your mother and father,” James stated as Vanessa’s head snapped up as James extended his hand to JT to shake.  “Hello son.”

“You’re not my father, he’s dead,” JT stated as Justin nudged him to shake James’ hand.

“It’s so nice to see you after so long my boy,” James stated with a smile on his face.  “It’s also nice to meet you too Justin, the man that has captured my son’s heart.”

“Ah yeah, it’s nice to meet you too, whoever you are,” Justin replied with a small smile.  “Baby, I thought you said your father was dead.”

“Go ‘head ‘Nessa, tell him who I am,” James stated as he turned and looked at her.  “Tell both of them who I am.”

“Why don’t you just tell me who you are because my father, that man be dead,” JT stated as he glared at James.

“I’m not dead son,” James stated as he turned back to face JT and Justin.  “Go on ‘Nessa, tell him.”

“Tell me what damn it?”  JT asked, looking between Vanessa and James.

“Why do I get the feeling that a bombshell is about to be dropped in here,” Justin said as he looked at JT, Vanessa and then over at James.

“JT, baby boy, this is—this is really…” Vanessa trailed off as James looked at her and then shook his head.

“Son, I’m really your father,” James stated as he stepped closer to JT as JT looked at him like he was crazy and then looked over at Vanessa with an evil expression.  “Son, I’m your father.”

“You now, I heard what you said the first time,” JT said as he shook his head, glared at Vanessa and then turned and walked out of the room.

“You—you’re really his father,” Justin said, looking at James and then looked over at Vanessa.  “Is this true Vanessa?”

“John!”  James exclaimed, walking out of the room, following behind JT.  “Come back John.”

“Leave me alone man,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “Damn, I need a fucking drink!  I don’t need this crap right now!”

“No son, you don’t need a drink,” James stated as he shook his head.

“What is it that you want man?”  JT asked, turning around to look James in the face.  “You want money?  You want to be drinking buddies?  What is it that you want?”

“I want you in my life son and I want to be a part of yours,” James replied with a frown as JT shook his head.

“I don’t need or want dead people in my life,” JT stated as he turned and continued walking down the hall.

“Son, wait just a minute,” James said as he caught up to JT and grabbed his arm, stopping him.

“I’m not your son!”  JT snapped as he snatched his arm away from James.  “You’re nothing to me!  Nothing!”

“Son, don’t say that,” James said as a tear rolled down his cheek.

“What do you want me to say then?”  JT asked, looking at James with hatred in his eyes.  “Did you think we were going to hug, embrace like a family should and be happy?  Sorry, I’m not the one for that when one of us is a liar!”

“What are you talking about son?”  James asked.

“I know the truth,” JT stated as he turned away from James.

“What truth is that?”  James asked.

“I’ve known for a long time that you weren’t dead,” JT stated as he leaned against the wall as the tears streamed down his face.  “I’ve known for a long time that both you and mother have been lying about your so-called demise.”

“I haven’t lied to you son,” James stated as he tried to touch JT’s shoulder as JT moved away from him.

“You lied about being dead!”  JT snapped as a few doors on the floor opened as a few people peeked out to see what was going on.

“I—I didn’t mean to perpetrate that lie son,” James stated as he looked down and sighed.

“Yes you did!”  JT snapped, pushing James backwards.  “If you didn’t want that so-called lie perpetrated, you would’ve been around for me, not staying in Chicago, making me believe that you’ve been dead all this time.”

“Believe me when I say this son, I wanted to be a part of your life, but I—I wasn’t able to be,” James stated, looking down again.  “Me and your mother, we—we had…”

“You had problems, but that was no reason for you to stay away from…” JT started as Justin walked down the hall towards them.

“Baby, are you okay?”  Justin asked, looking between JT and James.

“No, I’m not okay at all,” JT stated as he moved away from James, grabbed Justin’s hand and then pulled him down the hall.

“John…” James said as JT shook his head, shaking his hand dismissively as he continued walking down the hall as he kicked the wall and started screaming.  “John!”

“Stop!  Just stop it!”  JT screamed as some hotel security guys rushed down the hall towards them.  “Everybody stay away from me!”

“Baby,” Justin said as JT turned away from him.  “Everything’s going to be okay.  I think you need to calm down.”

“You think I need to calm down?  Are you fucking serious Justin?  My life is tumbling down around me!”  JT screamed as he threw up his hands.

“Baby, your life isn’t tumbling down around you,” Justin stated as he stepped closer to JT and then pulled him in for a hug.  “I know a lot of things are going on right now, but it’s all going to be okay.”

“How is it going to be okay Justin?”  JT asked as he looked Justin in the face.  “Tell me how my life is going to be okay!”

“You have me, we’re together, we’re going to be happy,” Justin stated as JT shook his head.

“How can you say we’re going to be happy, when everywhere we—I fucking turn, there’s damn drama!”  JT snapped as he threw his hands up again as a security guy stepped closer to him and Justin.

“Sir, it would be in everyone’s best interest if you just calmed down buddy,” the hotel security guy spoke as JT looked over at him.

“No, it would be in your best interest if you backed the hell away from me,” JT stated as he glared at the man and then turned around.  “I’ve had enough of this.  I—I’m going home.”

“You’re what!”  Justin snapped as he grabbed JT’s hand.  “Baby…”

“No Justin, this—this is just too much.  I’m going home,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “I can’t deal with any of this crap.”

“No baby, please…” Justin said as he fell to his knees, crying as JT walked away in the opposite direction.

“Son,” James said as he followed behind JT.  “Come on son, don’t do this.  Don’t you love that man back there?  You’re just going to leave him there, crying like that?”

“Leave me alone man,” JT said as he continued walking.

“No, I’m not going to leave you alone boy.  Is that the kind of man you are?”  James asked, grabbing JT by the arm and snatching him around.  “Are you the kind of man that will love them and leave them?”

“Who the hell are you, to ask me something like that, when you did the same damn thing to me and your wife!”  JT snapped as he snatched his arm away from James again.

“I didn’t do that to you or your mother,” James stated as he looked down.  “The truth us, your mother made me leave you two alone.”

“Why in the hell would mother do a thing like that?”  JT asked, looking at James like he was crazy.

“Because she didn’t want me around, reminding her of what she had done,” James stated as JT looked at him strangely.  “She didn’t want to remember all the bad things she had done or she had caused to happen.”

“What are you talking about?”  JT asked, looking up to see Justin, Vanessa and Marc standing down the hall.  “What in the hell is Marc doing here?”

“Marc, your manager, found your brother and in a sense, found me also,” James stated as JT looked at him strangely.

“I don’t have a brother,” JT stated as he shook his head and then turned around.  “I don’t know what you’ve been drinking, but…”

“I haven’t been drinking anything son,” James stated as he grabbed JT’s arm again.

“Stop touching me!”  JT snapped, snatching his arm away from James again.

“I’m sorry,” James stated with a frown.  “Come with me and let me prove some things to you.”

“I’m not going anywhere with you,” JT stated as he shook his head.

“Please John, please come with me so that I can prove the things that you need to know,” James stated as JT looked down and then sighed.

“Fine,” JT said as he walked towards Justin, Marc and Vanessa as James followed behind him.
