If I Ain’t Got You – Chapter 19

Chapter 19 — What Doesn’t Kill You, Makes You Stronger

Jan 4, 2003 – Orlando, FL – The Poole-Walden Estates – JT and Mark’s Bedroom

“You are kidding, right Angie?”  JT spoke, looking down at Angela as she shifted in his arms.  “Why do I get the feeling that I’m not liking where this is heading?”

“If you shut up and let me finish telling you what happened, then you’ll know where things went,” Angela said as JT sighed.

FLASHBACK

Downtown – The Movie Cineplex

Angie’s POV

We practically ran out of the theater, stopping only when some fans recognized him, clamoring about to get autographs and to take pictures with him.  I stood by impatiently as he signed their items and posed for pictures, smiling when he winked at me over the head of one of the little girls.  When he was done, we walked hand-in-hand back to the car, kissing and giggling like teenagers on the way.

“My place or yours,” I asked as soon as we were on the road again, cuddling up to him as he drove.

“My hotel is closer, let’s go there,” he answered, kissing me quickly as he tried to keep his mind and eyes on the road.  I slipped a hand under his shirt, teasing the taut skin on his chest and stomach as he squirmed a bit.  “Angie baby, if you don’t want us having an accident, then you need to behave yourself.”

“Oh alright, you big baby,” I said with a pout, moving back into my seat, letting him drive in peace.

Looking out the window, Kevin reached over, touching the skin on my thighs as he rubbed slow circles over my skin, teasing me, as I had teased him.  I shifted again, opening my legs a little further so that he could touch as much as he wanted.  My mind, on sights out the window, I was shocked to hell when he slipped a finger under my panties, lightly teasing my lips, while never taking his eyes off the road.

This man shocked the hell out of me.  He kept me on the edge, but never let me get too far ahead of him as he damn near caused an accident in his haste to get to his hotel.  By the time we pulled into the hotel parking lot, I was soaking wet and ready to make love as soon as we hit the room.  Kevin got out, tossing my car keys to the valet, but letting them know that the car was mine as we made our way inside to the elevators.

The doors to the elevator didn’t even close before we were all over each other again.  Kevin pushed me back against the wall, squatting and then standing with me wrapped around him like a second skin.  We tongued the hell out of each other; the whole while Kevin is freeing himself from his pants.  I could feel him, hot and hard, ready to enter me, but with his history there’s no way in hell he’s getting inside my sugar walls without a raincoat.

“Kevin… Stop… Oh fuck… We… Ahhhh… Need…  Condom,” I gasped as he brought me down against him again.  I clung to him, drowning in warm sensuality as he sucked on my bottom lip.

He reluctantly let me down, catching me when my knees buckled as he attached himself to the side of my neck from behind.  When the bell dinged for his floor, he didn’t even stop kissing me to walk to his room, he simply led me down to his room before opening the door and pushing me inside.

I swung back around, divesting myself of clothes as quickly as possible while still attached to him at the lips.  He pulled away from me long enough for the both of us to pull our shirts over our heads, lips fusing again in liquid need as soon as the deed was done.  I could feel the fear and uncertainty starting to creep up on me, but I brushed those thoughts away like gnats, intent on finding satisfaction with Kevin as soon as possible.

Kevin touched the side of my face, concern marring his features.  “We don’t have to do this Angie.  I can wait you know.”

“No, I want to do this,” I replied, not meeting his eyes as I lay down on the bed and reached for him.  “Come to me now Kevin.”

He wasted no time joining me on the bed, kissing me with an almost savage passion as I rolled the condom onto him.  He pushed me down; lips dueling with mine as he entered me in one savage thrust that made me see stars.  He stopped, allowing me to adjust to his hard length before he started to move.

He started with slow shallow thrusts, teasing me with the promise of fulfillment, but refusing to speed up when I practically begged him to fuck me harder and faster.  He captured my lips, sucking on my tongue in rhythm with his thrusting hips, driving me to the point of no return, before beginning his real assault on my senses.

“Oh fuck baby… So good,” Kevin whispered, panting as he looked deep into my eyes.  He began to thrust faster, punctuating each thrust with a kiss.  “So… Beautiful.”

“Please… Faster Kevin,” I begged, moving my hips in rhythm with his powerful thrusts.  I whimpered when he slammed into me, pushing me closer to the edge.  “Oh fuck… Like that!”

He didn’t respond verbally, he only pushed himself harder to satisfy me.  I could feel my body tighten, a sure-fire sign that I was about to have a monstrous orgasm.  No sooner did I think about it, the explosion began, working its way up from my toes.

“Kevin… I—I cominggggggg!”  I screamed, as spasm after spasm shot through my body.  I could feel Kevin shake as his orgasm slammed through him.

“Fuck… Jayce, so fucking good!”  He yelled, his body jerking as he filled the condom.  I laid there for all of a few seconds before the realization of what he said sank into my foggy brain.

“What in the hell did you just call me?”  I asked, pushing him off of me as I sat up. “I can’t believe you just called me by his fucking name Kevin.  What the fuck is your problem?”

“Angie wait… I—I’m sorry sweetheart.  Please let me explain,” Kevin stammered, reaching for me.  I turned quickly, slapping him so hard that I hurt my hand in the process.

“Keep your fucking hands off of me, you nasty son of a bitch!  I knew trusting you was wrong!  How could I let you convince me in to giving you another chance, when you told me that you were in a relationship with him?  How could I be so fucking stupid!  Screw you Kevin!  If I ever see you again, it’ll be too fucking soon!”  I screamed, grabbing my clothes, trying desperately not to break down in front of him.

I ran into the bathroom, swearing under my breath as I fought to get dressed.  As soon as I was done, I opened the door and grabbed my purse, not stopping to let Kevin say a damn word.

“Angie please… Don’t walk away from us like this,” he said as I walked past him.  I stopped in my tracks, tears slipping down my cheeks as I shook my head.

“Fuck you Kevin!  There’s no more us!  You made sure of that when you called me by his fucking name!  How could you?  What the fuck did I do to deserve that?”  I asked, fighting for control of my raging emotions.

Kevin made his way cautiously over to me, touching my face gently as he took me into his arms when he saw that I wasn’t fighting him.  I surrendered to the pain for a second, letting the hurt wash over me, before I remembered that this is the man who caused my pain.  I struggled and slapped at his chest, fighting to get away from him.

“Let me go damn it!  I hate you!  You bastard!  Get your fucking hands off of me!”  I screamed, finally succeeding in breaking the hold he had on me.

“Angie—Angie, please don’t leave me.  I do care about you,” he softly said as the tears flowed down his face.

“You should’ve thought about that before you fucked up again.  Goodbye Kevin,” I shot back over my shoulder before I ran out the door.  I needed to get home before I completely lost it and that was coming quickly.  First that bitch Valgina, now this shit here.  How much more can I take before I go completely fucking stark raving mad?

END FLASHBACK

JT’s POV

“Oh girl,” I said as she looked at me and then shook her head.

“I’ve been crying about this ever since I got back to the apartment,” she said, looking at me with a sullen look on her face.

“Oh Angie, I’m so sorry things didn’t turn out like you wanted them to,” I said, hugging her close.

“That’s just part of the problem,” she said, rubbing at her eyes.

“Don’t tell me he did more than that,” I said, letting her go.

“No, it wasn’t him then, but it’s just as bad.  That damn Kendall is throwing me out of my apartment.  He claims that I pose a threat to him, since I kicked Valgina’s ass,” she said, crying harder as I shook my head.

“What?  How do you pose a threat to him?  How does he know that you kicked her ass anyway?”  I asked.

“They’re related, she’s his cousin,” she replied as she sniffled.  “I have no idea why I didn’t put two and two together before.  They both have the same last name and he told me that he knew me in high school.  I should’ve figured it out then.”

“Ah, so you’re still here,” Mark spoke as he walked into the room, carrying a tray with plates of food on it.  “I bought enough for all of us.  Are you hungry Angie?”

“Yeah, I guess I am,” she replied, taking a plate of food from Mark.  “This looks good Mark.  What’s in the omelet?”

“Ham, cheese, tomatoes, onions and some peppers,” he replied, handing her a knife and fork.

“This smells and tastes good,” she replied, chewing her food.

“You could enjoy meals like this every day, if you moved in here with us,” I told her, knowing she probably didn’t want to move back in across the street with her mom.

“I can’t move in here with you guys.  I would be invading your space.  You two would never have any privacy if I moved in here,” she said, taking another bite of her omelet.

“Girl, you know you wouldn’t be in the way.  I have like five rooms in this house free.  You’re welcomed to have one on the other end of the hall,” I said, popping a piece of cantaloupe into my mouth.  “If you want it, it’s all yours.”

“I don’t know JT,” she said, looking down.

“Girl, just take the room.  It’s not like we don’t know you.  It’ll all be good,” Mark said, kissing her on the cheek.  “I wouldn’t have to go far to get help to get him to agree to things.”

“Ha ha ha baby.  Like you and Angie can actually gang up on me to get what you want,” I said just as the phone rang.  “Hello?”

“Is this JT?”  I heard a voice ask that sounded a bit like Aaron Canton, but I wasn’t really sure because the person was crying.

“Yes, this is JT, who’s this?”  I asked.

“I’m sorry to bother you, it’s Aaron Canton,” I heard him say.  “Look, have you seen or heard from my brother Nick?  He’s missing and I don’t know where he is.”

“I’m sorry no, I haven’t heard from him at all.  He should be at the hospital,” I replied.

“No, he’s not there.  I haven’t heard from him since he was released and I have no clue as to where he went.  I’m scared that he’s tried running away from Mom again and he’s somewhere hurt,” Aaron frantically said.

“Calm down Aaron.  Give me a half an hour and let me make some calls and I’ll see if I can have some answers for you,” I said, trying to calm down the boy.

“Thank you sir,” he said as the connection went dead.

“What’s going on baby?”  Mark asked, watching me.

“Apparently Nick Canton is missing.  Aaron hasn’t seen him since he was released from the hospital,” I said, sliding out of bed.

“Ewwww!  You said he was decent,” I heard Angie say as I realized I was standing in front of her without any sleep pants on.

“Sorry girl, I forgot.  At least he had a top on.  I forgot he didn’t have bottoms on,” I heard Mark say as I turned to see him covering Angie’s eyes.

“Now I know why I don’t want to move in here.  I might see something like this again,” Angie said, getting out of bed with her plate in hand.  “I’m going downstairs to wait for you two.”

“I’m sorry Angie, I said I forgot,” Mark said as I walked into the bathroom with a towel around my waist.

Half Hour Later – Hyatt-Regency Hotel – Nick’s Hotel Room

“How do you feel baby?”  Nick asked, leaning up on the sofa.

“I feel better, so much better baby,” Justin replied as Nick laid his head on his chest.

“I have something to say to you Justin,” Nick said, playing with Justin’s nipple.

“What is it Nicky?  Go ahead and say what you need to say,” Justin sadly said.

“I—I want to be with you forever and ever Justin. I can careless if you’re in that wheelchair or not.  I don’t care what my mother thinks; I don’t care what anyone else in the world thinks.  The only person that matters to me is you and only you baby.  I love you Justin Tanner and I hope to be Nick Tanner someday,” Nick declared as the tears streamed down his face.

“Is—is that what I think it is?”  Justin asked as the tears ran down his face.

“If you think it’s a marriage proposal, then yes baby, that’s what it is,” Nick replied, leaning in and kissing Justin’s lips.

“I—I don’t know what to say baby,” Justin said, hugging Nick close to his body.

“Well I hope you say yes,” Nick said, looking Justin in the eyes.

“Yes baby, yes I want to marry you,” Justin said as the two of them kissed again.

Later that Day – Florida Hospital – JT’s Office

JT’s POV

“Look, I really don’t want to be here, of all places, working.  So, just go ahead and tell me what the deal is Candy.  I’ll stop wasting your time, once I find out what I need to know,” I spoke into the phone.

“I’m sorry Mr. Poole, but I’m under strict orders from Mr. Tanner to keep that information private and confidential,” Candy, the nurse on duty on the prison floor stated as I shook my head.

“Excuse me; I really don’t want to have to go up there.  I’m really having a bad day and I’m not in the mood for this crap.  I asked you a direct question about the patient I’m supposed to be talking with right now and you’re giving me some line about Larry telling you not to tell me anything.  I’m the head of psychiatry services and I won’t put up with this impudence,” I said, just as Larry Tanner walked into my office.  “Oh, never mind Candy.”

“What seems to be the problem here Mr. Poole?”  Larry asked, sitting down in front of my desk.

“You can start by telling me why I’m getting the run around with Brian Lang,” I said, slinging Brian’s patient folder at him.  “I’ve been on the phone for a good hour, being bounced from person to person in this hospital, trying to get some information about this guy.”

“Had you asked me first, you would have known the deal Mr. Poole,” Larry sarcastically said with a smirk.

“Why in the hell do I need to ask you anything, before I talk with a patient that’s on my list?”  I asked, standing up as he motioned with his hand for me to sit back down.

“To start, I demoted you,” he said with a cheeky smile on his face.  “You’re no longer the head of psychiatry services around here, Valgina Williams is.  Also, you don’t have the necessary clearance around here to get information on anybody that’s considered confidential.”

“You did what!”  I snapped as he smiled again.  “You can’t do that Larry!  If you’re demoting me and putting Valgina in control of things, then I fucking quit!”

“Well you do what you have to do then JT, but my word stands as it is.  Valgina Williams is the new department head around here,” he said, getting up from the chair as he waved with that damn evil smirk on his face as he walked out of the office.

“Fuck this shit, I’m outta here,” I said, grabbing my knapsack as I picked up my crutches.

Half Hour Later – The Emergency Room Lobby

“Hey JT, what’s going on?  Where are you going?”  Angela asked, walking over to JT.

“I quit this bitch,” JT replied, walking through the lobby.

“You did what?  What are you talking about?”  Angela asked, watching JT like a hawk.

“I quit,” JT replied, pushing the door open with his crutch.  “Larry demoted me, so Val-hootchie is now the department head of psychiatry.”

“He did what?  You can’t just quit.  What about me, what about Steve?  You can’t just leave us here, with that bitch,” Angela said as she shook her head.

“Oh yes I can.  There’s no reason for me to stay here, being subjected to whatever madness that ho has in her twisted damn mind to inflict upon people.  So, I’m saving a whole lot of time, trouble, future possible lawsuits and jail time,” JT stated as he walked into the parking garage.

“What will you do JT?  What about money?”  Angela asked as JT looked over at her and then rolled his eyes.

“I can get another damn job elsewhere if need be, if not, I really don’t need to and you know this girl.  I have money and investments,” JT said, stepping into the elevator.  “Is there anything else Angie?”

“I—I guess not,” Angela replied, looking down.

“Will you be stopping by for lunch?”  JT asked.

“I guess so, probably Steve too, after he finds out that you’ve gone on and quit,” Angela said as her cell phone rang.  “Hello?”

“I’ll look for you two later on then,” JT said as Angela shook her head, holding the door.

“I have nothing more to say to you Kevin.  Lose my fucking number!  Don’t ever call me again!”  Angela snapped, pressing the ‘end’ button on the phone and then sliding it into her pocket.

“What was that all about?”  JT asked.

“Just Kevin, he’s wanting to talk again,” Angela replied, sighing as she shook her head.

“Aren’t you going to talk to him girl?”  JT asked, looking at her.

“Hell no, I’m not going to talk to him.  I told you this morning about what he did,” Angela said as she turned away from JT, shaking her head.

“Yeah, you told me with your words what he did, but you also told me with your body language of how you felt about things.  You have strong feelings for him.  It was just something that happened in the heat of passion.  You told me that he had a relationship with a man, maybe he was thinking about you, but said the wrong name,” JT stated as Angela rolled her eyes.

“Are you even listening to yourself on this one JT?”  Angela asked, crossing her arms across her chest.  “Don’t pull that psychiatry crap on me.”

“I know it sounds strange Angie, but give him a chance to explain his actions.  Just see what he has to say, before you write him off,” JT said, opening the door to the SUV as he got in.

“I can’t do that J, I just can’t.  we were making love and he—he called out another person’s name, a man’s name no less.  How do you think I felt, when I heard him call out Jayce?”  Angela asked, looking at JT as she leaned against the van door.

“I know that hurt you, but like I said, people say things in the heat of passion.  Just hear what he has to say and make sure you listen objectively Angie,” JT said as he started the vehicle.  “It’s Saturday, have a good day girl.  I know I will as soon as I get home.  I’ll be back later on to check up on Kai.”

“Alright you brat, I’ll see you at lunch,” Angela said, sighing as he walked back towards the elevator to head back inside the hospital.

Sometime Later – Larry Tanner’s Office

“Good afternoon Larry, I need to talk to you for a moment,” Larry heard someone say as he walked into his office, noticing someone sitting behind his desk, in his seat.

“Mr. Sylar, how are you doing this afternoon?  What an honor to see you sir,” Larry said, shaking the man’s hand.

“I’m doing fine Larry,” the man replied as Larry sat down in the chair in front of his desk.  “I came here to talk to you because I just heard the strangest thing.”

“You heard the strangest thing?  What was it that you heard sir?”  Larry asked, placing his hands on the desk as he looked at the man intently.

“To start, I just heard that JT Poole quit his job earlier.  I was told he quit because you told him that he wasn’t the head of psychiatry services anymore.  Why did I hear that Larry?”  The man asked.

“Well sir, I—I was told—told that he was being demoted and that the new employee, Ms. WIliams would be the new department head,” Larry stated, stumbling over his words as the man watched him.

“You heard that from where?  Where could you possibly heard that information from Larry?”  The man asked as he watched Larry fumble with his hands.

“I—I heard it in the emergency board meeting this morning,” Larry replied.

“Are you sure you heard that Mr. Tanner?”  The man asked, leaning on the desk, getting closer to Larry.  “I was in that board meeting this morning and I have no recollection of hearing what you just told me.  Which board member made that statement that you’re referring to?”

“Well sir, I—I don’t know which board member it was that made the statement,” Larry replied.

“Well I can honestly agree with you on that note.  I don’t know who said that either.  Mr. Tanner, answer me this.  Why would the hospital promote a new employee to a position of authority over an employee that’s been with us longer than the new employee has been in the field of study?”  The man asked, looking at Larry with mean look on his face.

“I don’t know the answer to that one sir.  I was just going by what I heard sir,” Larry replied as he looked down.

“Again, I don’t know what you heard, but what you’ve done here today constitutes your termination from this company Larry,” the man stated as Larry’s eyes widened.

“What?  What are you talking about Mr. Sylar?”  Larry asked, the tone of his voice rising a bit.

“When I heard that Mr. Poole had quit, I talked with some other employees around here today and they all informed me that you’ve had it in for Mr. Poole for a while now.  After reading some of Mr. Poole’s reports about things you’ve done and then reading reports from other staff members here, it seems everything you’ve done here today; you did because of Mr. Poole’s sexual orientation.  All this information leads me to believe that you only told him he was demoted, just to get under his skin to make him quit.  As of this moment Larry, you’ll tender your resignation to the board and I will assure you that you’ll leave with severance pay.  If you fight me about this matter, you’ll lose and leave with nothing,” the man stated as Larry stood up, shaking his head.

“Mr. Sylar please,” Larry said as the man shook his head.

“I want you out of this hospital by the end of business today,” the man declared as he got up from the chair and then extended his hand to shake Larry’s, but Larry refused as he shrugged his shoulders and then walked towards the door.  “Be out of here by the end of business today or I will have security escort you out.  What you’ve done here today won’t be tolerated in this workplace.”

“I don’t fucking believe this.  I’ve been fired all because of a faggot.  He’ll pay for this,” Larry said to himself, walking around the office, gathering his things.

If I Ain’t Got You – Chapter 18

Chapter 18 — Romance is in the Air

Jan 1, 2003 – Orlando, FL – El Valentera – The Parking Lot

“Angela—Angie, stop!”  Kevin yelled, rushing to catch up to Angela as she strode across the parking lot.  Angela came to an abrupt stop, swinging around to face him.  “Angie…”

“What do you want Kevin?”  She asked, anger glinting in her eyes.

“I want to know who that woman was and why did she attack you like that,” Kevin replied with a frown on his face.

“That… The bitch was the bane of my damn existence.  Her name is Valgina and for four years in high school and several years afterwards, she made my life a living hell.  She stole my boyfriends and eventually my fiancée,” Angela retorted, turning to walk away from Kevin before he grabbed her arm, stopping her.

“Wait… Angie, are you okay?”  Kevin softly asked, brushing her hair away from her face, before letting his fingers stroke her cheek.  Angela visibly relaxed under his careful caresses, letting the anger she felt dissipate.

“I’m okay now,” Angela replied, turning her face into the soft touch like a cat.  A smile began to play across her lips as she looked up at Kevin.  “You called me Angie.”

“I guess I did, didn’t I,” Kevin replied with a grin, leaning down towards her as their eyes locked in a very heated gaze.  “Is that a good or bad thing?”

“When you say it, it’s a very good thing,” Angela responded, her eyes never leaving his.

“Well then I guess I’ll just have to call you Angie from now on… won’t I,” Kevin whispered, covering her lips with his own, both of them oblivious to the whistles and catcalls from the patrons coming out of the restaurant.

“I—I think we need to stop, before we get into something neither of us is ready for yet,” Angela spoke softly as she rested her head on Kevin’s shoulder when they finally broke the kiss.  Kevin held her close, hugging her tight before letting her go.

“You’re right… Let’s go see that movie we didn’t see last night,” he replied, taking her hand in his as the two of them walked hand-in-hand towards the car.

After Midnight – The Poole-Walden Estates – The Family Room

JT’s POV

It’s well after midnight and I’m sitting here, like a fool, wondering what’s going to happen next.  Since coming back home after his misunderstand, Mark hasn’t come in here.  Sometimes I wonder about Mark.  Why is he so jealous?  He should know by now that If I wanted to leave him, I would’ve left already.  If I wasn’t going to leave, it wouldn’t be with Dean of all people.  As for Dean, I told him to leave and not to come back here.  I don’t know what the hell he was thinking, coming here in the first place.  Damn, it’s the first of the new year and I don’t need all of this fucking drama.  Something’s got to give and real soon.  With the way the new year came in, I wonder what’s going to happen next.

“Are you coming up to bed baby?”  I heard behind me as I felt arms wrap around me.

“Do you want me to come to bed?”  I asked, turning slightly to look him in the face.

“You know I do.  You shouldn’t be down here, in the dark, all alone like this,” he said as I sighed.

“Maybe I should be down here, alone,” I said, moving away from him.  “You made up your mind Mark.  You didn’t even give me a fucking chance to say what had happened, you just jumped to conclusions, like you always do.”

“I know I did baby and I’m very sorry for that.  I shouldn’t have did what I did.  I should’ve listened to you.  I know you wouldn’t do something like that to me.  You love me too much to hurt me that way,” he said as I shook my head.

“I do love you Mark, but you need to get a grip on your anger, before you actually break us up,” I told him as he sighed and then sat down next to me.

“I know baby, I know.  I’m stressed with everything that’s happened,” he said just as the phone rang.

“Who in the hell could that be at this time of night?”  I asked, reaching over to the phone, answering it.  “Hello?”

“Yo’ JT, hey, is my bud Mark around?”  Jordan, one of his friends asked as I sighed and then handed him the phone.

“It’s Jordan… Why is he calling for you, at this time of night Mark?”  I asked, looking at him strangely, wondering why his friend, a friend he used to be really close with in the past was calling here this late.

“What’s up Jordan?”  He asked, looking at me strangely as he pressed the speaker button on the phone.

“Yo’ man, me and Joe are at a club and we need a ride.  We’re at the Playa’s Club down on Figueroa  and we need you to come pick us up and take us home,” Jordan’s voice rattled out through the speaker as I shook my head and then looked at him as I turned up my nose.

“I’m not coming out to get you two fools.  Call a damn cab or wake up Danny,” Mark said.

“Come on man, I don’t need the publicity of being seen leaving a gay club, riding in a damn taxi with the paparazzi taking pictures of me,” Jordan said as he shrugged his shoulders.

“Maybe you should’ve thought about that before you started drinking then.  I have other things going on.  Night Jordan, tell Joe I said hi and bye,” he said as he pressed the button to hang up the phone.

“So, the unhappy couple need a ride,” I said as I looked at him, wondering was he really going to leave them hanging like that.

“They just need a ride.  Both of them are drunk and you heard him, he doesn’t want to be seen by the paparazzi,” he said, shrugging his shoulders again.

“Just call them back and tell them that you’re going to pick them up,” I told him.

“No, I’m not leaving here.  I’m here with you; this is our time baby.  We’re talking,” he said, leaning in as he kissed my lips.

“They’re your friends and more than likely, they’ll call back,” I said.

“So what, you’re my husband,” he said, pulling me closer to him as he wrapped his arms around me, kissing my lips again.  “And that’s all that matters, you, me and our son.”

“Oh Mark,” I said, lying back on the sofa as I pulled him on top of me.

“This would be so much better in our bed upstairs baby,” he said, getting up off of me as he pulled me up.  “I love you baby.”

“I love you too,” I replied as we walked towards the stairs.

Jan 4, 2003 – Orlando, FL – Florida Hospital – Justin’s Hospital Room

“Good morning Mr. Tanner, how are you feeling this morning?”  Amy, the morning nurse asked as she walked into the room.

“I’m feeling damn fine!”  Justin snapped, rolling over in the bed, turning his back to the woman.

“I’m sorry Mr. Tanner; I didn’t mean to disturb you,” Amy replied, backing away from Justin’s bed.

“No, I’m sorry.  I—I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that,” Justin said as he rolled back over in the bed, facing the woman.

“It’s quite alright Mr. Tanner.  My name is Amy, I’ll be the nurse on duty today,” Amy informed him, smiling as she wrote her name on the dry-erase board in the room.

“Okay,” Justin replied, lying his head back down on the pillow.

“If you need anything, anything at all, just press the call button to let me know,” Amy stated as she waved, smiled and then turned to leave the room.

“Okay Amy thanks and again, I’m very sorry for the way I acted earlier,” Justin stated with a frown.

“It’s quite all right.  I’ll be back later on to check on you,” Amy replied, waving as she left the room.

“That was no way to speak to the nurse Justin,” Nick spoke as he walked into the room.

“Nick?  Baby, what’re you doing here?”  Justin asked as he looked up.

“I’m here to check on my boyfriend.  Has that become a crime?”  Nick asked as he sat on the edge of Justin’s bed.

“No—no, it’s not a crime baby.  You know what I meant,” Justin said, looking at Nick closely.  “Why are you here?  You know I can’t do what you want me to do.”

“Yes, you can.  All I want you to do is love me Justin, that’s all I want from you,” Nick softly spoke as he leaned in close and kissed Justin’s lips.  “Stay right here, don’t go anywhere, okay.”

“I’m not going anywhere for obvious reasons,” Justin stated as Nick shot him a knowing glare.  “Sorry.”

“Don’t start baby,” Nick said, walking out of the room.

“I wonder what he’s up to,” Justin said as Nick came back into the room a moment later.  “What did you just do?”

“That’s none of your business baby.  Get up, you’re coming with me,” Nick said, grabbing Justin by the hand and assisting him over to his wheelchair.

“What do you mean, I’m going with you?”  Justin asked, looking up at Nick strangely.

“Just what I said, you’re coming with me for the day.  So, stop wasting time baby,” Nick said as he tapped his foot, waiting for Justin to get moving.

“I—I don’t want to go anywhere,” Justin whine as he folded his arms across his chest.

“Come on baby, you have to go.  I have a surprise for you back at my hotel, in my room,” Nick stated as he leaned in close and kissed Justin’s lips again.

“Oh alright, help me get started,” Justin stated, motioning with his head at the bathroom.  “I’m going in there; I’ll be out in about thirty minutes or less.”

An Hour Later – The Hyatt Regency Hotel

Justin’s POV

It didn’t take us very long to get here.  After I finished handling my business and had gotten dressed, Nick came back to my room.  I don’t know what’s going on.  Before we left the hospital, he was watching me rather strangely.  As I asked him questions about what was going to take place, he did his best to avoid all of my questions as he walked around the room, gathering things he thought I would possibly need and put them in his knapsack.  The way he moved around the room scared me a bit.  He acted as if he was in a rush, trying to get everything before someone possibly caught us or something.

Before we left my room, the nurse came in with a small bag and handed it to him as he accepted it and placed it in his knapsack also.  Apparently, he talked with the nurse and arranged for me to get some pain medication, just in case I needed it.  It seems he thought of everything for our little outing today that he hasn’t told me more about.  All I know is that I’m going to be with him today and that he has a surprise for me back at his hotel room later on.

After a few minutes, we were downstairs in the parking garage as he got me into his rental care.  After that short task, we were on our way, heading someplace for our day together that would lead to my surprise at some point, that I desperately wanted to know what it was.  We rode around for a few minutes and not once did he give me any clues to where we were headed, in such a big hurry.  Should I be worried here?  What’s really going on?  What in the hell was I in for?  When we finally stopped, we were outside of a hotel.  Okay, why are we at the hotel first?  Smiling at me, he drove around to the parking garage, found his spot and then smiled at me again.  Okay, what’s about to happen to me here?

“Nick, what’s going on?  Where’s my surprise?”  I asked as he smiled and then got out of the car as he got my chair out of the trunk and then came around to my side, assisting me with getting into the chair as he wheeled me through the back of the hotel, passing the restaurant.

“We’re going up to my room silly,” he replied with a smirk on his face.

“We’re going up to your room?  Are you done with the hospital?”  I asked.

“I was officially released when Mom tried to nab me, to take me back to Tampa with her,” he said as we stopped at the elevator.

“So, you’re out of the hospital and staying here, at this hotel?”  I asked, looking down.  “Is this why I haven’t seen you in a few days?”

“Somewhat,” he replied as the doors opened as he pushed me inside and then stepped in behind me.  “I’m staying here until I can find a place to live out here.  When are you getting sprung from the clink?”

“I don’t know when I’m getting out of the hospital, it’s been weeks now,” I told him.  “They say people in my condition normally stay in the hospital for months, depending on the damage.”

“You’ve been there for a while, but I feel that will change real soon,” he said as the elevator dinged and then the doors opened as he pushed me out of the elevator and then down the hall as we stopped at a door, I guess was his room.  “Welcome welcome.”

“You’re in room 1234, why am I not surprised.  That’s the easiest room number I’ve ever seen,” I told him, laughing as he opened the room door as we both went in.

“Well this is your home for today, until you’re tired of this place and want to go back,” he said as he sat down on the sofa and then gestured with his hand for me to join him.

“What do you want Nicky?”  I asked.

“I want my man to lay down on the sofa with me,” he replied as I rolled over to him.  “Come on, do you need me to help you?”

“No, I think I can do it,” I replied as I put the brakes on and then slid out of the chair, easing over to the sofa with him.

“Move over, I’m coming down there where you are,” he said, moving down to the end of the sofa where I was.

“Why do you want to lay down here with me Nick?”  I asked.

“My name isn’t Nick, it’s baby,” he said, looking at me sternly.  “Why are you acting so strange Justin?”

“I’m not acting strange,” I replied as he shook his head.

“Yes you have been, it started the other night.  I’m still waiting on your excuse for leaving me the way you did,” he said, looking at me closely.

“I—I told you that I—I couldn’t be with you.  I—I can’t do what you want me to do,” I said, feeling the tears building up in my eyes again as I looked away from him.

“Hush baby, I’ll prove you wrong,” he said as he used his hand to turn my face to look at him as he leaned in and kissed my lips.

“What’re you doing baby?”  I asked.

“I’m proving you wrong,” he replied as he unbuttoned my shirt.

“Nick stop!”  I demanded, hoping I didn’t just scare the hell out of him.

“Nope, I’m not going to stop baby.  When you admit that you’re wrong, only then will I stop, but by then, you probably wouldn’t want me to stop and you wouldn’t have to admit that you were wrong either,” he said, kissing my lips again.

“Why—why are you doing this to me?  You’re only in for a big letdown,” I said as the tears streamed down my face.

“Let down no, something big, maybe.  I have to be sure to go slow with you,” he said as I sniffled and looked at him strangely.  “If the rumors are true about you, I’ll have a good time making love with you.”

“What rumors?”  I asked, looking at him strangely, sniffling as he kissed my lips again and then wiped at my eyes.

“The rumors floating around the industry about you being hung in the dick department,” he replied, groping my crotch now.  “Mmmm, now that’s what I call potential.”

“Please stop baby, I don’t want to ever disappoint you,” I told him, sniffing more as he shook his head.

“You will never disappoint me baby,” he said, moving down a bit.

“What’re you doing Nicky?”  I asked, feeling his hand slide under the waistband of the track pants I had on.

“I’m doing this,” he replied, his hand making contact with my dick as he moaned and then licked his lips.

“Baby don’t,” I said.

“Baby, I love you, but right now, I want you to be quiet,” he said, removing his hand from my pants as he stood up and started taking off his clothes.

“I won’t be quiet,” I said as he smiled, shook his head and then pulled my track pants down my legs.  “Give those back… Give me back my track pants!”

“No baby, not going to happen,” he replied as I sat up on the sofa, getting angry at him.

“Give those back to me damn it!”  I snapped, not knowing what to do right now because he was going to prove that I am less of a man, a man that can’t give him what he wants.

“I’m not giving you back anything, you’re going to stay here with me and enjoy this,” he said, kneeling down in front of me.

“Please Nick, just give me back my track pants and we can…” I said as he shook his head, placing a finger to my lips.

“Baby, be quiet,” he said as he touched my legs as he stared up at me.  It’s like his eyes were piercing deep into my soul

What’s going on?  I’m pissed off with him, but something in my heart is pushing that anger away.  I could feel him trying to get past my barriers and I wondered what it was he was trying to see.  He took my hand into his own and then kissed the top of it.  He massaged my legs and then smiled up at me.  I don’t know what was happening, but it felt nice.   It’s like my whole world turned upside down or something.  I felt things at that moment, that I didn’t think I would ever feel again.  He looked up at me again and then got up off the floor as he moved me back into a lying position on the sofa.

“Nick,” I said as he shook his head, placing a finger to my lips again.

He smiled and then straddled my waist as he leaned over me, kissing me tenderly on the shoulder and then down my chest as he nipped at both of my nipples.  His actions created a pleasure within me, a pleasure I hadn’t felt in a long time.  Oh God, this feel so good.

“Oh baby,” I moaned out.  “This feels so good.”

I could hardly take it.  He’s making me feel things that I thought I could never in a million years, feel again. Oh God, he’s doing things to me that I would’ve never dreamt possible, since the accident.  He’s better than anyone I’ve ever been with.  I love him so much.

“Baby, are you okay?”  He asked.

“Yeah, I—I’m okay,” I replied as he sat down on me.  “Baby, what did you just do?”

“You’re all the way in me Justin,” he answered as he leaned down and then kissed my lips.  “We’re going to take this very slowly.”

“I’m all the way in you?  What do you mean?”  I asked as he nodded his head and then smiled.

“I mean you’re all the way in me,” he replied, motioning with his head in a downward motion as he gave me the thumbs up and then smiled again.  “You’re so thick.”

“Oh God, this feels so strange, but wonderful all the same,” I said as he moved slowly up and then he came back down as that motion sent a new sensation through me and I actually felt tingles in my lap.

“Baby, do you want me to stop?”  He asked as I held onto his hips, controlling how fast he moved up and down on me.

“No—no, don’t stop baby,” I told him as he moved faster on me.  “Oh baby, I think I’m close… I think I’m close to coming.”

“I am too baby,” he replied as I felt myself going over the edge of oblivion as mini fireworks went off in my mind.

“Oh God baby, I love you!”  I screamed, my orgasm overtaking me.

“I love you Justin,” he said, stroking himself faster as he shot his load all over my chest, some of it landing on my chin.

“Oh God, baby that was wonderful,” I told him.

“Yes it was baby.  Do you still believe that you can’t make our love physical?”  He asked, looking at me with a serious expression as I was about to speak as he burst into laughter.

“I don’t believe that anymore baby.  Thank you for showing me that I’m still a man,” I said as he laid his head on my chest with my dick still buried in his ass as I felt a few tears escape the corners of my eyes.

“I love you Justin Tanner,” he said as we both drifted off into a wonderful sleep.

The Poole-Walden Estates

“Who could that be, knocking on the door right now?”  Mark asked, walking down the stairs, heading to the front door with a mean expression on his face as he got to the door and then opened it.  “Hello Angie, what’s up?  Is there something wrong with Kai, is he alright?”

“Last I heard, he was okay.  Where’s JT, I really need to talk to him,” Angela replied as she walked into the house.

“He’s upstairs, let me go get him,” Mark said as she smiled and then shook her head.

“Is he decent?”  Angela asked, looking at Mark closely.

“Yeah, he decent,” Mark replied.

“Fine, I’ll just run up and talk to him,” Angela stated with a smile.

“Okay then, let him know that I’m headed into the kitchen to fix us some breakfast,” Mark stated, kissing her on the cheek as he walked into the kitchen as she headed up the stairs.

JT’s POV

It’s an early Saturday morning and I’m lying here, in bed, basking in the afterglow of our morning lovemaking.  I really do love Mark with all of my heart, but sometimes I wonder did I make the right decision, being with him.  Mark, in all the things I love about him, he has a bad temper and when things don’t go his way, he goes off the deep end on anyone around, including me at times.  I can admit that when I was with Dean, I didn’t have to worry about bad tempers and him going off on someone when things didn’t go his way.  Hell, the problem with Dean was he was never around when I needed him to be.  When I chose to be with Mark, over Dean, I thought I was making the right decision, but sometimes I still wonder about that.  It’s been ten long years and we’re still together.  Will our love last longer than it already has?  Being that I’m getting older and I don’t think anything else is going to change with my life, I hope things between us get better.  I love Mark, I shouldn’t be thinking like this, besides Dean could never devote enough time to me and Kai.  Our relationship was mainly me, Kai and a dog and the dog spent more time in bed with me, than Dean did.  Rubbing at my eyes, the sound of knocking on the door, brought me back to reality a bit.

“Who’s knocking?”  I asked as the door opened as Angie walked in with a somewhat strange, but serious look on her face.

“Well good morning, it is a good morning, isn’t it?”  She asked, sitting down on the edge of the bed as she looked down, twiddling her fingers.

“Somewhat girl, why are you here so early in the morning?”  I asked as she looked up at me and then sighed.

“I went out with Kevin again last night,” she answered as she twirled her hair as I shook my head.

“Great, how was it?”  I asked.

“Well, I think it went okay, I just have conflicted feelings,” she replied as she moved to the head of the bed, getting close to me as she sat up against the headboard, looking me in the face.

“Why do you have conflicted feelings Angie?”  I asked.

“Kevinwasinarelationshipwithamanoncebefore,” she quickly said and then looked down as I had to look at her to try to figure out what she said.

“Whoa whoa whoa, go back and tell me that part again, I don’t think I caught all of that,” I said, trying to play over what she had said in my mind, but I wasn’t getting it.

“I said that Kevin was in a relationship with a man once before,” she said again as I noticed she had tears in her eyes that were threatening to fall.

“Girl, why do you keep putting yourself in these situations?”  I asked, holding her in my arms as she sniffled and then sighed.

“I guess I keep falling for the wrong people,” she said, wiping at her eyes.

“It’s going to be alright.  Tell me about this.  I seem to be out of the loop on this one,” I said, hoping to gain some background on this guy because all I knew about him was that he’s Nick’s friend.

“Last night, we went out and let’s just say that I had a good time, but I knew about his past and it’s going to interfere with things,” she told me as I looked at her strangely.

FLASHBACK

Downtown – The Movie Cineplex

Angie’s POV

“Well, since I don’t know what you like, I figure that seeing ‘Chicago’ with Catherine Zeta Jones would be a safe bet,” Kevin said, pulling into the parking space as he turned the car off.  When I started to open the car door, he put a hand on my arm, stopping me.  “Let me get that for you Angie.”

“Okay,” I replied with a smile as I waited for him to come around the car to open the door.

“Come on sweet girl, we’re missing the movie,” he said, offering me his hand as he kissed me softly on the lips, before closing the door behind me.

Kevin held my hand as we walked towards the theater, laughing and talking softly as we went.  I stood by the entrance, waiting while he paid for our tickets, accepting mine before we walked inside the cool, brightly lit building.  Once we got snacks and sodas, we headed hand-in-hand to the theater where our movie was showing, making it in time to see the last of the previews.

We found seats in the back of the theater and got settled in.  We sat side-by-side, sharing popcorn and kisses all throughout the movie.  I had to admit, I loved the way he made me feel when we kissed, but at the same time, I’m afraid that he’s still feeling something for the man I saw him with.  I’m trying to put that out of my mind, but it kept sneaking back in.

“Are you enjoying the movie Angie?”  He asked as I snapped out of my reverie, smiling and nodding, but my mind was obviously elsewhere and I think he noticed.

“It’s pretty good,” I replied, still not paying the screen any attention.  I looked over at his face in profile.  He is totally focused on the movie again, so I continued exploring his face with my eyes.  I love the way he looked, so intense when he’s trying to concentrate, but I’m feeling a little bit naughty.  I decided that now was a good time to redirect his attention to more important things.

I sat up a little straighter in my seat, shifting so that I was facing him.  I put my head on his shoulder, yawning loudly so that he didn’t suspect what I was about to do.  He shifted closer to me, wrapping one arm over my shoulder to bring me closer to him. I reached up and nuzzled the side of his neck with my nose.  I noticed that even though he’s still watching the movie, he’s not as intense in concentration as before.

I flicked my tongue over the shell of his ear, tugging gently on the lobe as I breathed softly on the wet skin.  Kevin shivered slightly, but still continued trying to watch the movie.  I licked a trail down the column of his neck, pausing to lick and suck lightly on the skin at the crook of his neck.  Kevin squirmed in his seat, trying to find a comfortable position, but failing miserably as I continued charting a path of kisses across his body.

I could feel his pulse under my tongue.  It’s becoming more and more erratic as I teased him, but that’s a good thing.  I ran my tongue over his Adam’s apple, swirling over it with lips and soft nips before I attached myself to it.  Kevin groaned, but not loud enough for the people near us to hear, but loud enough to let me know that he enjoyed himself.

“Angie, you—you need—fuck, to stop,” he managed to say, before I pulled his head down and attacked his lips.  I licked his lips, softly tracing the shape with the tip of my tongue, before I moved to taste his mouth.  I slipped inside of the soft, wet cavern, teasing him until he’s panting and straining to find some kind of release.

“We need to go,” he abruptly said as he stood up and then pulled me along with him.

“Wait… What about the movie?”  I innocently asked.  Kevin moved lightning fast as he spun us around and pinned me to the wall of the theater, grinding into me.  All I could do was gasp, feeling the hardness against me.

“Still want to stay for the movie?”  He asked, rocking against me as I wrapped myself around him.  I whimpered when his mouth claimed mine again, my body clinging to him like a vine.  He continued gyrating his hips, whipping me into a frenzy of passion.  He finally broke the kiss, looking down into my eyes.  “I didn’t think so… Let’s go.”

END FLASHBACK

“Wait a minute girl, are you telling me, what I think you’re telling me?”  I asked as she sniffled as I felt her moving around in my arms.  “You didn’t, did you?”

“You know how long it’s been since…” she said as I sighed this time and shook my head, wondering what else she was going to tell me.

Limbo Uprising – Chapter 5

Chapter 5 — Family Matters, Not!

Jun 2, 1996 – A National Park, Somewhere in Georgia

“Everybody, are you okay?”  Kayla Reyes asked as she and her passengers appeared in a burst of light.  “It seems I’m not able to transport us into Jacksonville, where I sensed the others.”

“What’s really going on Kayla,” Paul Stanton asked as he stepped out of his robotic suit.  “Why can’t we get to the others?”

“There’s some kind of barrier that’s blocking me from using my magic to transport us anywhere near where the others are,” Kayla replied as she looked around.  “Telly, have you had any luck trying to teleport into Jacksonville?”

“No,” Telly replied with a frown.  “Whatever’s going on, that’s some real powerful shit.”

“Yeah, I guess so,” Kayla replied as she sighed.  “Whatever it is, it’s blocking my magic.  I can’t see what’s going on near the complex or anywhere around.  I know the others are there, I just can’t pinpoint any of them.”

“What are we going to do?”  Tamara Knight asked, looking around at the others.  “They sent out a distress call, so they must need our help.”

“Yeah, help is needed, but at what cost?”  Kayla asked as she sighed again.  “There are some very powerful magics at play to keep me out of a whole town.”

“What are you getting at girl?”  Telly asked, looking at Kayla strangely.

“The world could be in grave danger here,” Kayla responded as she sat down on the ground, closing her eyes as she floated off the ground as her body emanated energy.  “I’m still not able to see into Jacksonville.  What in the world is going on?”

“Don’t know, but whatever it is, it’s bouncing me all over the place,” Telly stated as he shook his head.  “Do any of you have any ideas?  Paul, Tamara, Benji?”

“Man, you lucky I even decided to come with you when you popped up at my place,” Benjamin Kane stated as he looked at Telly with a mean expression.  “I don’t take to kindly to associates popping up at my parent’s house while we’re having a party.”

“Come off it buddy, you looked like you were bored out of your mind,” Telly stated as he shook his head.

“I might’ve been bored, but I don’t need anyone in my family finding out that I’m a freak,” Benjamin stated as Tamara Knight sighed and then shook her head.

“Why aren’t you able to accept who you are?” Tamara Knight asked, stepping over to Benjamin.  “You act like you have it so damn bad!”

“Okay you two, this is not the time to get into an argument,” Kayla stated as she stood up on her feet and then gestured with her hands.  “Has anyone heard from Diana lately?”

“Are you kidding me?”  Telly spoke, looking at Kayla strangely.  “You do know what happened, right?”

“No, what happened?”  Kayla asked, looking at Telly closely.

“She—she’s in the hospital, she’s been in the hospital for months,” Telly stated as he looked at Kayla as if she were crazy.  “Where have you been?”

“Apparently I haven’t been keeping up with what’s been going on with everyone,” Kayla stated as she sighed.  “How did she end up in the hospital?  What’s the diagnosis?”

“It seems her mind shut itself down as the doctors put it,” Paul replied with a frown.  “We went up against some fools from someplace strange back in August.  One of them had this strange looking device and they zapped her with it.  Since then, she’s been in Memorial, comatose.”

“My vision,” Kayla stated as she shook her head and then turned her back to Paul.  “I—I told John about this and he didn’t do anything about it?  Why didn’t he stop that before it happened?”

“Don’t know, I can’t give you an answer for someone’s actions,” Paul replied as he looked down.  “He was nowhere around when this happened.  Had he been around, we wouldn’t have gotten our asses kicked the way we did that night.  Electra wasn’t the only casualty we had that night.”

“What else happened?”  Kayla asked as Telly stepped up next to her.

“What you two talking about?”  Telly asked.

“I’m updating her on what’s happened so far with the team,” Paul stated as Telly shook his head.

“Did you tell her about JT having another boyfriend to string along?”  Telly asked as Paul sighed.

“That’s not of any importance here,” Paul stated as Telly pointed his finger at Paul.  “Well it’s not.  JT’s personal life is his, we have no say of what he does and doesn’t do.”

“Kevin, Drew, Jamie and now a Joey,” Telly stated as he shook his head.  “The guy really needs to keep it in his pants.”

“You need to keep your nose out of it,” Paul stated, shaking his head.  “It’s always you, sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong.”

“Whatever,” Telly stated as Kayla waved her hand, using her powers as an image of Diana Hall was displayed.  “It’s Diana with her mom in the hospital.  How were you able to see that?”

“I don’t know, it’s the first thing from Jacksonville, I’ve been able to see,” Kayla stated with a frown.

“Well if you can see that, maybe you can take us all there,” Paul stated as Kayla smiled and then gestured with her hands as all of them disappeared.

Jacksonville, FL – Memorial Hospital – The Room of Diana Hall

“Nurse, can we get the doctor in here?”  Rebekah Hall spoke, standing at the doorway of the room where Diana Hall lay comatose in bed.  “The machines are beeping rather loudly and she’s opened her eyes.”

“Yes ma’am, I’ll call the doctor,” the nurse on duty spoke as the brainwave activity monitor connected to Diana Hall started to beep louder, the register tape spitting out tons of paper.  “Oh my, there seems to be massive readings.”

“What’s happening here?”  Rebekah asked as Diana’s body started to glow.  “Diana, honey can you hear me?  Diana, Diana baby, Momma’s here baby.”

“Inferni Igne Perituri Mundi Regnant[1],” Diana spoke as the glow around her body faded away and then her eyes closed.

“What just happened?  What did she say?”  Rebekah asked, looking at Diana closely as she gently shook Diana’s arm.  “Come on baby, what did you just say?”

“What’s happening here?”  A tall white man asked, walking into the room.

“I don’t know Doctor,” Rebekah replied as she shook her head.  “She opened her eyes and then said something and then her eyes closed back.”

“That could’ve been just a random reaction to some synaptic response deep within her brain,” the man stated as Rebekah shook her head.

“No, that wasn’t random,” Rebekah stated as she looked down at Diana and then back at the doctor.  “I know my baby and something odd just happened here.”

“Mrs. Hall, what do you expect me to do here?”  The man asked.

“Run some damn test or something!”  Rebekah screamed as Diana’s body started to glow again and then she opened her eyes as there was a flash of light in the room as Kayla and her passengers appeared.

(<SPLINGK>)

“Hello Mrs. Hall,” Kayla spoke as the light faded from around her and her passengers.

“Phenomena,” Rebekah responded, moving towards Kayla.  “What are you all doing here?”

“This was the only place I was able to transport us too, that didn’t bounce us around the world,” Kayla replied with a frown.  “How is she doing?”

“Something strange just started happening,” Rebekah stated as the doctor just stood there watching.

“Can it ya’ll, we got a normal bystander in the room,” Telly stated as he motioned with his head at the doctor.  “You might want to do something about that before it turns into something else and those special authority people start showing up to try to take us to the other place.”

“Not worried about that,” Kayla stated as she waved her hand in front of the man’s face as he looked like he had been entranced and then walked out of the room.  “I’m sure my spell will keep him busy for a bit.”

“Et Viri Justi Regnant Serviet Excelsis[2],” Diana spoke as a beam of psychic energy projected from her head, striking Paul, knocking him against the wall as he trembled.

“What just happened?  Is there something wrong with her?”  Rebekah asked, looking around as Telly assisted Paul up off the floor.

“She—she’s connected to what’s going on,” Paul stated as he rubbed his head.  “There’s something wrong with the others, but in her current state, she can’t help them.  She’s fully aware of what’s happening, she’s trapped in her own mind.”

“She’s trapped in her mind, how?”  Benjamin asked, looking at Paul strangely.

“She knows what’s been happening all around here, since she got put in here,” Paul stated as he pressed a button on his suit of armor.  “I think I’ll turn on my psychic dampeners to keep me protected.”

“Keep you protected from what?”  Tamara asked, looking at Paul strangely.

“There seems to be some kind of psi-wave, emanating around this place.  I don’t know where it’s coming from, but it’s communicating with her and each time the wave hits her, she projects,” Paul stated as he pressed another button on his armor, projecting an image of energy levels in the area.

“I’ve seen that before,” Telly stated as he looked at Paul closely.  “Are you sure that’s an energy level and not a brainwave pattern?”

“It’s the energy levels emanating around this place,” Paul stated.

“The graphs look like JT’s brainwave pattern,” Telly stated as he looked at Kayla.  “Remember that time when Master Power tried to kill him and he was left coma… Oh this is starting to get freaky.”

“No Telly, keep going,” Kayla stated as Rebekah just watched them.

“Master Power tried to kill JT, he threw some kind of psychic grenade at him that knocked him unconscious and he was out for a while,” Telly stated with a frown.  “Had it not been for someone in JT’s family, JT probably would’ve still been in the coma.”

“This isn’t making any sense right now,” Rebekah stated as she folded her arms across her chest.

“I wish JT was here, so he could better explain what happened to him,” Telly stated with a frown.

“Well apparently he’s not here,” Kayla stated as she shook her head.  “It seems he’s somewhere here in Jacksonville, hidden from my sight.”

“He’s not hidden from your sight, he’s in a beautiful dream,” Necroloque spoke, appearing in the room.  “Electra has been here all this time?”

“Who are you, how do you know my daughter?”  Rebekah asked, looking at Necroloque closely.

“Oh here we go, enter the spooky, crazy shit,” Telly stated as Necroloque cut his eyes at Telly as the young man closed his mouth quickly and then stepped behind Paul.

“This is Psychic Warrior’s uncle,” Paul answered as Telly just stood there, watching as Kayla vowed her head.

“There’s no need for that child,” Necroloque spoke, patting Kayla’s shoulder.

“Not to sound rude, but what are you doing here?”  Paul asked, looking at Necroloque strangely.  “Warrior told me that you only appeared here when there was something of a spiritual nature, going on.”

“It seems a powerful creature has escaped from another realm and has come here to take over,” Necroloque answered as Paul gasped.

“See, something freaky and it has something to do with magic,” Telly stated as he shook his head.

“Mr. Scott, please keep in mind that I can still do what I did the last time,” Necroloque stated as Telly closed his mouth and hid back behind Paul again.

“Mrs. Hall, I was led here because of your daughter and another of your relatives,” Necroloque stated with a sigh.

“Another of my relatives, who?”  Rebekah asked, looking at Necroloque strangely.

“Ryan Hall,” Necroloque stated as Rebekah just looked at him as if he hadn’t said anything.  “Ryan Hall, your…”

“He’s nothing to me, you might want to ask my husband,” Rebekah stated as she turned her back to Necroloque.

“Mrs. Hall, is there something wrong?”  Kayla asked, turning Rebekah around to face her.

“Nothing’s wrong at all,” Rebekah stated as Diana’s body started to glow again as she opened her eyes.

“How come you can’t explain it… The way you’re acting recently… It seems that everything is changing…  ‘Cause I can tell the way you’re treating me…  I believe that you still love me…  But you find it hard to show…  Don’t throw away the chance…  ‘Cause it might be your last… And I won’t let you forget…[3]” Diana sang as everyone in the room looked at her strangely.

“I know that song,” Tamara stated as she looked at Benjamin and then over at Kayla and then to Telly.  “Didn’t JT sing that song a while back?”

“If so, why is she singing it right now?”  Paul asked, looking at Telly and then over at Necroloque as one of the alarms on his armor went off.  “We have a problem guys.”

“What is it Golem?”  Rebekah asked, looking at Paul.

“The psi-wave I spoke of earlier, it’s getting stronger, more intense,” Paul replied as he pressed another button on his armor.  “Incoming!”

“No!”  Diana screamed as she opened her eyes as psychic energy emanated from her body, striking all around her, knocking Necroloque down to the floor as he held up his hand, trying to use his powers to shield himself from the attack.

“Stop child!”  Necroloque screamed as his eyes crackled with energy as the beam of energy projected against him, pushed him backwards as Diana’s boy floated off the bed.

“What in the hell is going on here?”  Rebekah asked, covering her mouth as she watched as Kayla jumped in front of Necroloque, trying to assist him with shielding himself from the attack.

“I don’t want to hurt her, in her current condition!”  Necroloque screamed as his costume changed and he’s slammed against the wall.

(<PAMPH>)

“No!”  JT screamed as he appeared in the room, standing in front of Necroloque, using his powers to shield Necroloque from Diana’s attack.  “Diana, wake up, stop this madness!”

“I’ve had so many lives… Since I was a child… And I realize…  How many times I’ve died…  I’m not that kind of guy…  Sometimes I feel shy… I think I can fly…  Closer to the sky,[4]” Diana sang as JT shook his head as tears fell from his eyes.

“Diana, wake up!”  JT screamed as his eyes crackled with energy as he gestured with his hand, striking her with a beam of magical energy as Telly and Paul tackled him, taking him down to the ground.  “Get the hell off of me!”

“We’re not going to let you do something to hurt her!”  Telly yelled, punching JT in the chest as Kayla gestured with her hands, trying to use her powers to restrain Telly and Paul.

“All of you stop, you’re drawing unneeded attention to us,” Kayla stated as Necroloque got up off the floor as his costume changed back to its normal appearance.  “Psychic Warrior, is everything okay?”

“No, everything isn’t okay,” JT replied as he looked at Necroloque.  “Why Uncle, why did you do that?”

“I didn’t need you and your friends interfering,” Necroloque stated as things started to rumble and shake.

“Well regardless of what you wanted, Celestus is still apart of Ryan Hall and we have to stop him,” JT stated as Rebekah looked at him strangely.

“What does Ryan have to do with this?”  Rebekah asked, looking at JT.

“Uncle, you didn’t tell her?”  JT asked, looking over at Necroloque.

“When I asked, she didn’t give me any relevant information,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head.

“Your cross-dimensional relative is trying to bring hell to Earth,” JT stated as he sighed and then spun around in a circle as his hand glowed as his costume changed.  “Uncle, the next time you want to trap me in a dream, make sure it’s a happy dream, not one where I’m a lonely singer, that has nothing left to live for, not able to count on anyone.”

“I’m sorry my boy,” Necroloque stated as he looked down.  “What about your friends, did they wake from their dreams?”

“I don’t know,” JT replied as he floated over to Diana and then touched her head.  “Diana, I know you’re in there, you’ve been calling out to me, since I stepped back into this realm.”

“Calling out, how?”  Rebekah asked.

“Duh, because she’s in a coma, doesn’t mean her mind and psychic powers stop working,” JT stated as he looked at Rebekah.  “I’m sure you knew that already.  Ryan must be stopped and it’s going to take all of us to do it.  Oh and Telly, I’ll kick your ass later on.  You want to take pop shots at me, I’ll give you a change to do that all you want.”

“We don’t have time for this petty arguing,” Kayla stated as JT looked at her, smiled and then waved his hand as all of them faded away, leaving Rebekah standing there, looking around the room.

“Where did they go with my daughter?  How am I going to explain this to the hospital?”  Rebekah asked as she sighed and then covered her eyes.

Limbo Uprising – Chapter 4

Chapter 4 — This Mortal Coil Undone

Jun 1, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – A Few Miles from the Jacksonville Landing

“Help!”  Amy screamed as she struggled to get away from the tree that held her tight.  “I can’t believe I’m calling for help because a damn tree has me trapped!  How embarrassing is this shit here!”

“Calm down miss,” someone spoke as Amy looked around.

“Who’s there?  I can’t see you!”  Amy screamed, struggling with the tree as she zapped a few of the branches with magical energy beams from her eyes.

“You—you have super powers,” the person spoke, moving back from the tree.  “Are—are you a superhero or something?”

“Something like that, I just don’t seem so super right now,” Amy stated as she zapped a few more branches, trying to free herself as Brett appeared in a blur.

“Ames, are you okay?”  Brett asked as he noticed she wasn’t alone.

“I’m fine as can be now Speedster,” Amy replied as she zapped a few more branches and then fell from the tree as a loud booming noise could be heard again as she turned and looked in the direction that Brett had just come from.  “Oh no, that’s not good.”

“What’s not good?”  Brett asked, looking at Amy strangely.

“What was just said isn’t good,” Amy stated as Brett looked at her as if she was crazy.

“Nothing was said, it was just a loud noise,” Brett stated as Amy shook her head.  “Are you saying that loud noise is actually something being said?”

“Yes, it’s demonic magic,” Amy stated as she sighed.  “Where is Psychic Warrior?”

“The last I saw, before Illusion sent me away, against my wishes, he was fighting with the creature thing in the river,” Brett stated as he looked towards the mall.

“Could one of you tell me what’s going on around here?”  The person asked.

“Who are you buddy?”  Brett asked, looking at the young man.

“My—wait a minute, who are you?”  The young man asked.

“I’m Speedster and this is ah… Well, what is your name now?”  Brett asked, looking at Amy strangely.

“Phantasma,” Amy stated with a small smile as the young man frowned.

“I’m Mack,” the young man replied as the ground started to rumble as Brett and Amy looked around as things got dark around them.  “Why is it dark out, is there an eclipse today?”

“No, there wasn’t one scheduled,” Brett sarcastically replied as the young man grabbed a hold of Amy’s hand when the loud booming noise happened again.

“That thing is trying to pull Limbo to Earth,” Amy spoke as Brett looked at her.  “The way things are starting to look, it’s succeeding.”

“What do you mean by pull Limbo to Earth?”  Brett asked, looking at Amy strangely.

“I mean, that creature that JT is fighting is trying to turn this place into Limbo, so that it’s so-called brethren can reign here, as well as in Limbo,” Amy stated as there was a bright flash of light as an image of JT’s face was displayed in the clouds.

‘Everyone, listen to me, this is not a game and it certainly isn’t a dream,’ JT telepathically broadcasted his voice.  ‘A demonic creature called Celestus is trying to turn our world into a place of evil and darkness.  I need your help… I need all of your help to fight this evil!’

“How are we going to help that guy, fight a demonic creature?”  Mack asked, looking between Amy and Brett, still holding onto Amy’s hand.

“Do you even have any powers?”  Brett asked, looking at Mack strangely.  “Why are you still even here?  Why haven’t you gotten away from here?”

“I’m still here, because I believe I can help you guys out,” Mack replied as the loud booming noise was heard again.  “That’s really getting to be annoying.”

“Tell me about it,” Brett stated as he shook his head.

“Speedster, now isn’t the time for the… No, he’s not going to win this battle,” Amy stated as Brett looked at her.  “He’s down!”

“Who’s down?”  Mack asked, looking at Amy closely.

“We have to go, you get yourself to safety,” Amy stated as she grabbed Brett’s hand as the two of them vanished as Mack looked around to see that Hank’s body had disappeared also.

“I don’t know what just happened, but I am not going to leave here, when I can use my talents to help others,” Mack said as he looked around.  “It looks like things are going down at the riverbank.  I guess that’s where I’m headed next.”

Between Here and There – The Limbo Dimension – Castle Limbo

“Listen to me woman, are you behind what’s going on?”  Necroloque asked, standing in front of a mirror in the castle’s catacombs, looking at a reflection of Mother Divine.

“What are you asking me for?”  Mother Divine asked with a smirk on her face.

“You seem to be the new prankster around here all of a sudden,” Necroloque stated as he sighed and then shook his head.  “Some child popped up here, in this castle, a place he’s not supposed to be able to get into, because he’s not part of our bloodline, but yet he was able to and while he was here, he cracked the guardian mirror and freed Celestus from his prison.  Now Celestus is somewhere on Earth, free, doing only God knows what.”

“And what does that have to do with me brother?”  Mother Divine asked.

“How did that child, who is not part of our bloodline, get into Limbo or this castle?”  Necroloque asked.  “Someone in here, had to let him in.”

“I’m sure there’s another answer,” Mother Divine stated as she shook her head.

“That child had to be let in here, he isn’t part of our bloodline.  Something like that wouldn’t be part of the bloodline, that’s a travesty.   From the images I saw, he and his family tried to kill our sister to keep her from giving birth to our nephew.  So, do you want to tell me how that child got into this place?”  Necroloque asked, watching the reflection of Mother Divine.  “That child and his family are our enemies, they have no way of actually getting into this place without assistance.  So, the only one I can think of that gave them that assistance is you.”

“I assisted no one in getting into here, I am trying to get myself out of here,” Mother Divine replied as Necroloque shook his head.

“You want to get out of here, fine, you’re out,” Necroloque stated as he punched the mirror, shattering it as Mother Divine screamed out as the shattered mirror pieces hit the floor.

“Nooooo!  What have you done?”  Mother Divine’s voice could be heard.

“You wanted to be out, I’m sending you out,” Necroloque stated as the shattered pieces of the mirror started to glow and then the mirror reformed itself.  “Since she wasn’t any help, I think I need to return to Earth and help my boy out.  I think there is something greater than all of us going on here.”

Jun 2, 1996 – Downtown Jacksonville, FL – Roof of the Omni Hotel

“Are you okay JT?”  Tara asked, flying down to where JT landed.  “What’s happening?  What is that damn thing doing?”

“It’s trying to turn this realm into Limbo,” JT replied as he got up from the floor.  “Celestus wants this place to resemble Limbo, so he and others like him can be here.”

“Why are they trying to get here?”  Tara asked as A’Mora, Brett, Hank and Amy appeared.

“It seems, this place has what demons and demonphages of Limbo want,” JT stated as he sighed.

“What is it that they want here?”  Brett asked as he looked over at JT.

“The same thing Chaos wanted,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “They want to have their greatest emotional wants granted.  They can’t get that without a damn soul and here, there are tons of souls to choose from.”

“What!”  Brett snapped as he threw his hands up.  “Those mofos are trying to get here so they can chow down on the souls of normal people, is that what you’re telling us?”

“Yeah, that’s what they want,” JT stated as he sighed.  “As long as this realm remains the way it is, they can’t freely walk this plane, but if Celestus can complete the spell he’s trying to cast, this place will go up in smoke and every mortal around here will become demon lunch.”

“Oh that’s just fucking great, thanks a lot JT!”  Brett screamed as JT’s eyes widened as he reacted with his telekinetic powers and then slammed Brett into the wall.

“JT!”  Tara screamed as she grabbed him by the arm.

“I’m not going to stand here and allow him to blame me for this!”  JT snapped as he pushed Tara backwards.  “He want to blame someone, he can blame Ryan Hall or Mother Divine, but not me!”

“Who is Ryan Hall?”  A’Mora asked, looking over at JT strangely as she assisted Brett up off the floor.

“He seems to be a very sketchy character that tried to kill me as a baby,” JT stated as A’Mora and Amy looked at him strangely.

“Wait a minute, this person tried to kill you when you were a baby?”  A’Mora asked.

“Well he and his family tried to kill my mother, to keep her from having me, but it’s still the same damn concept,” JT stated as he glared at A’Mora.  “Had it not been for me and my uncle, they might have succeeded in getting rid of me.  Hell, the way things are, maybe I should’ve let that fool and his family kill me, then I wouldn’t have to constantly deal with the fallout from you guys!”

“Come on JT, don’t be that way,” Tara stated with a frown as there was a loud booming noise.

“Great, that fucker has started again.  He must’ve found what he was looking for,” JT stated as he flew up into the air as his body emanated magical energy as he streaked through the sky, flying as fast as he could as he made a connection with Celestus, setting the sky on fire.  “Stop!”

// You pathetic fool, you can’t stop the righteous of this world, // Celestus spoke as JT shook his head, spun around and then threw a ball of magical energy at the creature.

“You are not the righteous of this world,” JT stated as he reached behind his back as his scepter appeared.  “Saturn!”

(<PAMPH>)

“No!”  Necroloque screamed as he appeared behind JT, grabbed his scepter and then flew away with it.  “I have to put a stop to this madness.”

“Uncle, what are you doing?”  JT asked, flying towards Necroloque as he held out his hand as a magical energy barrier surrounded him, blocking JT from getting near him.  “What are you doing?  Give me my scepter back!”

“No my boy, it’s time that I did something with this, that should’ve been done a long while ago,” Necroloque stated as he closed his eyes and then held the scepter high above his head.  “Necroloque!  Soul’s Desire!”

“What did you just do?”  JT asked as the scepter disappeared from Necroloque’s hand and then reappeared in the sky above the both of them.  “What’s happening?  What did you command my scepter to do?”

“You’ll see,” Necroloque responded as the whole area was bathed in a gold-colored light as JT fell to the ground, hitting it like a sack of potatoes being tossed away.

“What in the hell is going on?”  Tara asked, flying closer to Necroloque as the light hit her and then she fell to the ground also.

“I just hope in this dream, my boy doesn’t end up in the hospital, that would be a nightmare to him and now I want him and his friends to have a beautiful dream,” Necroloque stated as he floated towards Celestus.  “Now it’s just the two of us monster.  Let’s do this.”

// Do you really think your puny magicks can compare to mine?  You don’t have the Sword of Legions to help you imprison me this time, // Celestus spoke as Necroloque projected a beam of magical energy at the creature, knocking it backwards a bit.

“I don’t need a toy to deal with you Celestus,” Necroloque stated as his hand crackled with energy.  “I am the sovereign supreme magical being of Clan Chosen, I am the power that can imprison you.”

(<PAMPH>)

“But you won’t imprison him!”  Ryan screamed as he appeared in a burst of light behind Necroloque, thrusting forward with a dagger, stabbing Necroloque through the chest.  “I finally found you my lord.  How may I serve you?”

“Fool!  What have you done?”  Necroloque screamed as magical energy emanated around his body.  “You don’t know what you’re doing!”

“I know pretty well what I am doing,” Ryan stated as he grabbed Necroloque by the neck, holding him tight.  “I am not going to allow you to destroy my master.”

“Your master has already been destroyed, same as you,” Necroloque stated as Ryan shook his head and then threw his body down to the ground.  “Owwww!”

“Master, I am here for you.  What should I do for you?”  Ryan asked as he reached out his hand to Celestus, making contact with the creature as the two started to glow with magical energy, their bodies becoming one.  “Yes, the power, I feel the power.”

“What have you done child?  You’ve doomed us all!”  Necroloque screamed as energy projected from his mouth, setting things near him on fire.  “Damn it, I must get myself under control before I destroy this plane, like they intend to.”

“My master and I are now one, what he wants, I want,” Ryan stated as he moved towards Necroloque.  “You may call me Devastation from this point on.”

“I will continue to call you a damn fool,” Necroloque stated as he smiled and then raised his hand, projecting a beam of magical energy in Ryan’s face, knocking him backwards to the ground.  “I’m not going to let you and your so-called master destroy this plane of existence!”

“You can’t win this,” Ryan stated as he got up from the ground.  “This has already been prophesized by the ancients!  This world will be ours!”

“This world already has owners and they are already here,” Necroloque stated as he gestured with his hand as the wound on his chest started to repair itself.  “You are no match for me child.  You were no match for Legacy Saturn, how would you be a match for me?”

“With the Master’s powers added to my own, I am more powerful than your whole collective,” Ryan stated as he waved his hand in Necroloque’s direction, using his powers to knock him backwards to the ground.  “I am a match for your pathetic attempts of using magic, so don’t waste my time here.”

“Child, you have a lot to learn,” Necroloque stated as he waved his hand, using his powers to create an eldritch shield around himself, deflecting Ryan’s use of magic against him.

“How dare you stand before one that has mastered all three powers of the so-called mighty one!”  Ryan screamed, lashing out with his powers, striking Necroloque’s shield, almost shattering it.

“Oh Papa Toony, we got a loony,” Necroloque stated, shaking his head as he held up both of his hand, maintaining his eldritch shield as he projected magical beams of energy from his eyes.  “There’s something wrong with you child.”

“There’s nothing wrong with me you vile cretin!”  Ryan snapped as he got closer to Necroloque, striking at his shield.  “There seems to be something wrong with you!”

“There’s something wrong with you child,” Necroloque stated as he vowed his head as duplicates of himself appeared around Ryan as the original disappeared.  “Child, thinking you have mastered the powers of the Mighty One, you must be out of your mind!”

“My Master mastered those powers long ago,” Ryan stated as Necroloque shook his head.  “Resurrection, he is back from the dead.”

“Your so-called master was never dead, he was just imprisoned elsewhere,” Necroloque stated.

“He mastered seeing into the future,” Ryan stated as he lashed out with his hand at Necroloque, striking him with magical energy.  “How did you think I was able to figure out where the great power would be?”

“You haven’t figured out where the great power is,” Necroloque stated as he struck Ryan with a bolt of magical energy, knocking him down to the ground.  “It seems there is a misconception about what the great power is.”

“There is no misconception fool, that lazy nephew of yours has the great power!”  Ryan screamed as Necroloque shook his head.  “He should’ve never been privy to that power!”

“Think what you must child,” Necroloque spoke, using his powers to wrap Ryan up in eldritch chains.  “I am not going to allow you to continue walking this plane of existence, thinking, what you are thinking.  You are totally mad.”

“I am not mad, I am confident in my Master, your soon to be savior!”  Ryan screamed as he projected beams of magical energy at Necroloque, enveloping him in an eldritch cage.  “This is over and done with!”

“Yes it is,” Necroloque stated as his hand crackled with energy.  “Ankh…”

“We have no time for your parlor tricks,” Ryan stated as he gestured with his hands as the eldritch cage shrunk in size.

“Ankh!  Egyptian Cruxata!”  Necroloque screamed as his body glowed brightly as energy emanated all around, causing the eldritch cage around his body to dissipate.

“No!”  Ryan screamed out as Celeste Preston appeared in a burst of light.

“Maybe I can be of some assistance to you,” Celeste spoke as she stepped over to Necroloque.  “Where is the Psychic Warrior?  I am not able to…”

“I put him and his friends into a beautiful dream,” Necroloque replied as he snapped his fingers as his costume changed.  “I didn’t need them getting involved in things, so I put them some please else, to keep them all busy.”

“I think it would be best if you undo what you did to them,” Celeste stated as she looked around.  “This child isn’t going to stop, mainly due to his soul isn’t the one at play here, but that of another.”

“He merged himself with a centuries old demon called Celestus,” Necroloque stated as Celested nodded her head.

“I know what he did, but you sir, need to undo what you did to the others,” Celeste stated.  “They are needed here, not where they are.”

“They have no magical might that would make an actual difference here,” Necroloque stated as Celeste shook her head.

“That’s where you are wrong,” Celeste stated as she gestured with her hands as JT, Amy, A’Mora, Hank, Brett, Tyler and the young man named Mack appeared.  “Who might you be?”

“What just happened to me?  Where am I?”  Mack asked, looking around and then looked at Celeste strangely.

“I guess I am responsible for you being transported here,” Celeste replied as she stepped closer to Mack.  “How are you mixed up in this matter?”

“I don’t know,” Mack replied as he looked at Celeste strangely.  “Strange clothes you have lady.  Are you going to a costume party or something?”

“No,” Celeste replied as she shook her head.  “My ambition now is to figure out why you are here, amongst them.  Do you know these people?”

“Not personally,” Mack responded as he looked around again.  “I saw a tree grab the lady over there.  The darn thing was trying to eat her, like she was some kind of meal for it or something.”

“A tree tried to eat her,” Celeste spoke as she looked at Mack and then back to Necroloque.  “It seems that things on the mortal plane has come undone.”

“Yes, they have and if things don’t get back to normal soon, this plane of existence will cease to exist,” Necroloque stated as he stepped over to where Celeste and Mack were.  “We don’t have time for…”

“No sir, we have no time for games,” Celeste stated as she looked at Necroloque closely.  “Please, use his scepter and undo what you did to them.  Wake them up from where you put them.”

“It’s not that simple,” Necroloque stated with a frown on his face.  “They have to wake up from the dream on their own.”

“What!  We need their help now, this plague isn’t just going to go away,” Celeste stated as she pointed her finger in Necroloque’s face.  “There has to be a way for you to undo what you’ve done to them!”

“The only thing that can wake them up from their beautiful dream is them,” Necroloque spoke as Celeste shook her head.

Limbo Uprising – Chapter 3

Chapter 3 – Disturbing Behavior

Jun 1, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Landing

“So, why are we here at the mall again?”  Hank asked as he, A’Mora, Brett and Tyler walked around, window browsing at different stores.

“Dang man, we talked about this yesterday,” Tyler stated as he shook his head.

“Yeah, are you really that much of a scatter-brain or what?”  A’Mora asked, looking at Hank as if he were crazy.  “We’re here to find a birthday present for JT.”

“This is really a big waste of time you know,” Hank stated as he sighed and then stopped in front of a store, cupping his hands up to the glass, admiring a clothing item.  “That looks nice, I would love that for myself.”

“What are you looking at?”  Tyler asked, stepping up besides Hank.

“That,” Hank replied as body shimmered with light, a sign that he was using his morphing powers.

“Are you looking at the cool jacket over there, the black leather one?”  Tyler asked as he nudged Hank in the side.

“Yeah, I am,” Hank replied as he looked over at A’Mora and Brett.  “We could be doing something else with our time, instead of being here, looking for a birthday gift.”

“Is there something you would rather be doing than hanging out with us?”  A’Mora asked, glaring at Hank.

“There are tons of things I could be doing right now,” Hank sarcastically replied.  “And none of those things involve looking for birthday gifts for people that haven’t been around.”

“Man you need to lighten up a bit,” Tyler stated with a sigh.

“Why?  No one has heard from JT in months,” Hank stated as he sighed and then folded his arms across his chest.

“Because we haven’t heard from him, it doesn’t mean that he’s not our friends and that we forgot his birthday,” A’Mora stated as she rolled her eyes, following Hank’s line of sight, noticing that he was eyeing some guys across the way.  “When JT returns from wherever it is he is, I want him to see that things are still the same and nothing has changed.”

“Ha, things have changed A’Mora, but in a way you are right about that.  We can all hope for him to return and things be normal, but that’s just wishful thinking.  In reality, we all know that nothing has really changed.  This is JT we’re talking about.  He does the same thing all the time.  When he’s pissed off, he runs off to Limbo and no one sees or hears from him for a while, like now,” Hank explained as A’Mora shook her head.

“If memory serves, had you not said the things you did a few months ago, he wouldn’t have left the way he did,” A’Mora stated, pointing her finger in Hank’s direction as her hair changed a lighter shade of purple as he sighed and then glared at her.

“Hey, you two need to cut it out, you’re drawing unneeded attention,” Brett stated as others started to gather round them.

“Babe, I didn’t start this, but for you, I’ll let this drop,” A’Mora stated as she turned to face him.  “I wonder would JT like that jacket.  Brett, what do you think about the jacket?  Do you think he’d like it?”

“I don’t know,” Brett replied with a frown.  “I’m not in the know about what he likes and don’t like.  Why didn’t you just ask Drew to come with us?”

“I didn’t ask Drew, because he’s not feeling things right now,” A’Mora stated as she looked at Brett strangely.  “For a telepath and being the sibling of a twin, you sure are clueless about your brother’s emotions.”

“I’m not clueless about his emotions ‘Mora, I try not to meddle in his life, like others do,” Brett stated as A’Mora shook her head and then rolled her eyes.

“I don’t see it as meddling, if you’re trying to help him cope with what happened in the past,” A’Mora stated as Hank sighed and then rolled his eyes as he walked passed his friends.

“When you two are done squabbling about mundane things, I’ll be on the second level, in the arcade, having some fun,” Hank stated as he walked towards the escalators.

“Let’s just pick up something and go,” Brett stated as he sighed.  “I’m in no mood for being in this place.”

“Fine, we’ll get him the jacket, get it wrapped and then we’ll leave,” A’Mora stated as she walked into the store, went over to the display case and waved at the store sales person to get their attention.

The Second Level – The Food Court

Hank’s POV

What in the hell was A’Mora thinking, tricking us into going shopping for a birthday present for JT.  Hell, she could’ve just used her magic and zapped up a present for him.  There wasn’t really a need for this public outing of sorts.  I would’ve been fine, just lazing around the complex in my room.  Hell, he’s been gone for months, what makes her think he’s coming back for a damn present for his birthday?

Damn, he’s been gone for a few months and it’s like nothing’s really changed among any of us.  There’s just too much damn drama.  When he’s around, there’s drama around us.  Hell, he’s gone and there’s still drama.  How are we going to stop all the damn squabbling?  I used to think he was the cause of all of our problems, but now that he’s not here, what’s really the cause?  He’s not here for an argument to be started, so maybe something else is the fault.

“Hank, didn’t you hear me?”  Tyler asked, walking up behind Hank.

“Ah no—no I didn’t hear you Ty, what’s on your mind?”  Hank asked, looking at Tyler strangely.

“I asked did you want to get something to eat first,” Tyler stated as Hank shrugged his shoulders and then looked around.

“Okay, sure, why not,” Hank said as he looked over at one of the vendors.  “I could go for a burger and some fries, maybe some pepper steak and rice.”

“Both sounds nice,” Tyler stated as he walked towards the food court.  “I think I’ll get me a couple slices of pizza.”

“Pizza sounds good too,” Hank responded as screams could be heard nearby as people started running around them.  “Oh come on, I didn’t get to eat.”

“Eating can wait, it sounds like something is going on,” Tyler stated as he rushed towards the level railing.  “Something’s happening in the river.”

“What’s happening in the river?”  Hank asked.

“It looks like there’s a giant hole in the river and all the water’s being sucked into it,” Tyler replied as Hank joined him at the railing.

“Man, that looks like some freaky…” Hank started as A’Mora and Brett appeared in a burst of light next to them.

“We have to get over there, something of a magical nature is happening,” A’Mora stated as she pointed out at the water.

“Oh that’s just great,” Hank stated as he shook his head.  “Would you happen to know who could be behind that?  Is it Setterwynd?  Tallisman?  Halloween?  Is this really happening right now?”

“No, I don’t sense Setterwynd, Tallisman or Halloween around here,” A’Mora stated as she shook her head.  “This magic is somewhat ancient, but it’s also new.”

“Meaning what woman?”  Hank asked as A’Mora glared at him.

“It means that someone new to the craft is using old magic,” A’Mora stated as more screams could be heard as more people are observed running away from the riverbank.

“Do you have your communicator on you?”  Brett asked, looking over at Hank.

“No, I left it back at the complex,” Hank replied as he glared at Brett.  “What was the point of bringing it to the mall, we weren’t looking for something to happen.”

“But here it is, we need it to call in the others,” Brett stated as he shook his head.

“But yet, you’re a member of the team, just like I am, yet you don’t have your communicator either,” Hank stated as he shook his head.  “To solve this problem, A’Mora, just teleport me back to the complex, I’ll send out a distress signal to the others and then I’ll come back here.”

“Works for me,” A’Mora stated as she gestured with her hands as energy enveloped Hank and he was gone.  “Now the three of us need to go out there and see what we can discover.”

“That’s our biggest problem right there,” Brett stated.  “When we go being nosey, trying to discover something, we end up getting our noses cut off, di…”

“Honey hush up, this is no time to be arguing,” A’Mora stated as she touched Brett’s shirt as his clothing changed into his costume as her hair color changed and she was wearing her costume.  “Tyler, do you want me to change your clothes?”

“I’m fine with what I got on,” Tyler responded as he pulled some shades from his pocket and put them on.  “I’m ready to go.  Let’s go be nosey.”

A Few Miles Away – The Roof of a Nearby Hotel

(<PAMPH>)

“Where are we?”  Tara asked as she and JT emerged from the portal.

“Apparently, we’re in Jacksonville,” JT replied as the light faded away from their bodies.  “I’m sensing strange magical harmonics around here.  I’m guessing Celestus is nearby and he’s responsible for what I’m sensing.”

“What about the kid?”  Tara asked as she looked around.

“I can’t sense Ryan around here at all,” JT stated as he sighed and then spun around in a circle as his costume changed into his regular costume.  “But we do have some old friends near.”

“We have some old friends near?  Who?”  Tara asked.

“A’Mora, Brett and Tyler are near Celestus,” JT stated as he gestured with his hand as a portal opened.  “Come on, let’s go get them out of harm’s way.”

“Naw, I think I’ll fly on my own,” Tara stated as she cut her eyes at JT.  “I’ve seen way too many demons, traveling with you is almost a heart attack in the making.”

“Those things can’t hurt you and you know that,” JT stated as he sighed again.

“They may not be able to hurt me, but just the sight of some of them is a bit too much to deal with,” Tara stated as she jumped into the air, taking flight as JT sighed and gestured with his hand again as the portal disappeared as he jumped into the air, taking flight also.

“The sooner we get to Celestus and stop what he’s planning, the sooner we can figure out what’s going on with the Ryan kid and what he has up his sleeve,” JT stated as he and Tara streaked through the sky, flying towards the river.

“Look, it’s Wonder Woman!”  Someone screamed as Tara sighed as she landed on the deck of a yacht that was anchored in the river.

“I’ll be glad when people call me Amazon, I am not Wonder Woman,” Tara stated as she sighed.  “It really hits a damn nerve when I get compared to some white chick on TV, that I don’t even look like.”

“I know Tara, but you have to remember, when I gave you the powers you have, I envisioned you as Wonder Woman and others see you that way as well,” JT stated as Tara shook her head.

“Don’t get me wrong bro, but I love saving lives and kicking ass, but I don’t like being idolized as some comic book, cartoon character you idolized as a kid when you were growing up,” Tara stated as she looked out at the water.

“You idolized her too, so come off it girl,” JT stated as he floated above the yacht, paying attention to the hole in the middle of the river that the water was flowing into.  “There seems to be a portal on the river’s floor that’s sucking the water into it.”

“Where is all that water going?”  Tara asked.

“I don’t know,” JT replied as there was a flash of light near him as A’Mora appeared on a floating disc with Brett next to her.

“Hi stranger, long time no see,” A’Mora stated as she smiled at JT.  “Do you happen to know what’s going on here?”

“Not everything,” JT responded as Tyler flew up to where he and the others were.

“Hey buddy, long time no see,” Tyler spoke, waving at JT.

“Hi,” JT replied as Brett cleared his throat.

“What’s going on here?  ‘Mora said she sensed a magical presence here.  Now that you’re here, are you the presence she sensed?”  Brett asked.

“Probably not,” JT replied as he sighed and then shook his head.  “Look, I’m here to find out what’s going on and when I do that, I’ll be out of you guys’ hair.”

“There’s no need for that kind of talk,” Tyler stated with a frown.  “We all just need to sit…”

“No time for that,” JT stated as he flew higher into the sky, putting distance between himself and the others.

“That went great,” Tyler stated as he shook his head.

“Well considering how things ended when we last saw him, I don’t think he’s come to terms with all that’s happened,” A’Mora stated as she looked down, noticing Tara on the deck of the yacht.  “Wonder Woman, what are you doing down there?”

“The name’s Amazon and I was just admiring the scenery,” Tara replied as she flew up to the others.  “My name is Amazon, remember it.”

“But we’re so used to calling you Wonder Woman,” Tyler stated as Tara glared at him.

“Why do you want to call me that?  Do I resemble a white woman on TV that fights crime?”  Tara asked, watching Tyler as he held up his hands and floated backwards.  “I didn’t think so.  Amazon is my name, don’t’ forget it.”

“Yes ma’am,” Tyler stated as A’Mora shook her head.

“You do know that everyone sees you as the character on TV, right?”  A’Mora asked as Tara looked at her strangely.

“What do you mean?”  Tara asked.

“When you are Amazon, people don’t see you for you, they see the image of Wonder Woman.  They don’t see you as the strong black woman you are, they see you as the white woman that used to be on TV,” A’Mora explained as Tara cocked her head to the side and then punched her hand into her fist.

“That’s what he meant when he told me that no one would ever see my true identity,” Tara stated as she sighed.  “When this is over, I’ll have to have him remove that from me.”

“Good luck with that,” A’Mora stated as there was a loud booming sound as they all covered their ears as JT and a tall creature came into view.

“You must stop!”  JT screamed as he floated in the air, projecting beams of magical energy at the creature.  “What you’re speaking will destroy this world!”

“What’s going on?”  Tyler asked as there was another loud booming noise as they had to cover their ears again.  “What in the hell is going on?  What’s that damn noise?”

“Stop damn it!  You’re using magic that shouldn’t be used on this plane of existence!”  JT screamed as he continued projecting beams of magical energy at the creature as there was yet another loud booming noise.

“What’s going on?” Brett asked as he looked at A’Mora.

“That creature is speaking in an ancient tongue, one that could destroy us all,” A’Mora replied as she kissed Brett’s lips and then gestured at him as he disappeared.  “Now that I’ve sent him away, I don’t want him to see what I can really do with my powers.”

“Stop it now!”  JT screamed as he flew higher into the sky as he looked around and then stopped.  “I’m not going to let you continue what you’re doing monster!”

“How can I help you with this?”  Tyler asked as he flew up towards JT quickly.

“You can’t help here Stryker,” JT replied as he created a ball of magical energy and then threw the energy ball at the creature.  “You need to leave, get as far away from here as you can.”

“You’re here, fighting this thing buddy, I am not leaving,” Tyler stated as JT shook his head.

“There’s nothing you can really do here, you have no magical powers,” JT stated as he created another ball of magical energy and then threw it at the creature as there was another loud booming noise.

“Whatever that thing is, I’m not going to let you face it alone,” Tyler stated as he grabbed JT’s hand, stopping him from moving away.  “I’m here to help you buddy, I am your friend.”

“Friend or not, you have nothing to help in this matter,” JT stated in a harsh tone as Tyler frowned.  “Again, you need to leave here quickly.”

“I am not going to leave,” Tyler stated as JT shook his head and then gestured in his direction as some strange energy wrapped around Tyler and then he vanished.

On Land – The Jacksonville Landing

“Hey Sarah, when did the Landing get another level to it?”  A young man asked his friend as they stood on the sidewalk in front of the mall.

“It hasn’t gotten another level to it, why do you ask?”  The young woman asked as the young man pointed at the building, noticing that it was growing in size.  “Oh my God, what in the hell is going on with that?”

“I don’t know, but I don’t think that’s supposed to be happening.  I think we should be going now,” the young man stated, grabbing the young woman’s hand as he drug her towards the parking lot across the street as Hank landed in front of the mall.

“Onyx here in front of the Landing and things don’t look right,” Hank stated, pressing a button on his communicator.  “I sent out a distress signal to the others, but so far, I don’t think the signal is getting through to anybody else.”

= The signal is getting through, there seems to be a barrier around Jacksonville, keeping others out. =

“A’Mora, do you think that’s JT’s doing?”  Hank asked as he shook his head.

= It could be his doing, but no one has established that just yet. =

“How are we going to stop this thing without help?”  Hank asked as there was a strange phenomenon near him as Amy Ramsey appeared next to him.  “Amy, what are you doing here?”

“I don’t know what’s going on.  One minute I was at home, minding my own business and the next, I’m here, seeing you,” Amy replied with a frown as she looked around.  “What’s happening that brought me away from my calm and peaceful existence?”

“Something of a magical nature,” Hank answered as Amy looked at him and then shook her head.

“So I guess me being here right now is JT’s doing.  I guess I’m here to be Phantasma,” Amy stated as her hand sparkled with energy as her clothing changed and she’s wearing her costume.

“Look out, that damn thing is alive!”  Someone screamed behind Amy and Hank.  “It’s trying to get us!”

“What the hell is that?”  Hank asked as he turned around to see what looked like a power pole grabbing people of the street.  “Amy, are you seeing the same thing I’m seeing?”

“Yeah, I see it,” Amy replied as she sighed and then leapt into the air, taking flight as she headed towards the people that were in the grasp of the power pole.  “So apparently, what I can gather, inanimate objects are coming to life because of all the ambient magical energy around in the air.”

“Yeah, whatever you say,” Hank said as he grabbed the pole, trying to hold it in place while Amy got the people from its grasp.  “You might want to work a bit quicker.”

“Is there something wrong Onyx?”  Amy asked.

“I don’t know, but something seems to be zapping my strength.  I feel like I haven’t had sleep in days,” Hank replied as his visage changed, revealing his normal, everyday appearance.  “Damn it, I’ve changed back to myself.”

“Are you able to change again?”  Amy asked, looking at Hank strangely.

“I don’t know, I feel so weak,” Hank responded as he fell to the ground, passing out.

“That’s not good,” Amy said as she waved her hand at the pole, using her powers to slash through different sections of the pole as the people held in the pole’s grasp fell to the ground.  “Run all of you, get away from here!”

= Phasing Girl, what’s your twenty? =

“I’m down by the bus depot, I’m trying to save people that are being dragged off by inanimate objects,” Amy spoke as she pressed a button on the communicator on her belt.  “Onyx is down, I’m going to need some help out here, quickly!”

= I’m on my way, keep your eyes open for me. =

“Okay, Brett, I’ll be looking for you,” Amy said as she looked around as she stood there as a tree grew arms and then grabbed her, trying to hold her in place.  “What the hell!  Get the fuck off of me, you fucking tree!  This can’t be happening!”

Limbo Uprising – Chapter 2

Chapter 2 — Definition of Royalty

Between Here and There – The Limbo Dimension – Castle Limbo

“Who in the hell do you think you are?”  Tara asked, taking on a fighting stance, pushing Necroloque behind her.  “I don’t know who you think you are, but I’m not letting you get close to the king.”

“As I said, he’s not the king of this place anymore,” Tara and Necroloque heard as the light took on the form of a person.  “Welcome to my domain, this is Limbo no more!”

(<PAMPH>)

“Not so fast there,” JT spoke, appearing behind the person, grabbing them quickly as his eyes glowed brightly as he and the person vanished and then reappeared again.  “What the hell happened?  We were supposed to had appeared outside!”

“No my boy, there’s something amiss here,” Necroloque stated as he waved his hand and nothing happened.

“Uncle, are you okay?”  JT asked, looking back at Necroloque as the person threw him to the ground.  “Owww!  Something’s wrong with my psychic armor, I actually felt that.”

“You’ll feel more than that!”  The person screamed, waving its hand as magical chains sprang up from the floor, wrapping around JT and Necroloque.

“No!”  JT screamed, his eyes dimming as his hands sparkled with energy.  “Amazon, get down!”

“Gotcha!”  Tara screamed, falling to the floor as JT’s eyes crackled with energy.

“Gravata Sinova Clatorim!”  JT screamed as demonic fire shot from his eyes and mouth, enveloping the person that stood before him and Necroloque.

“Did you really think that was going to do anything to me?”  The person asked as JT’s eyes widened.  “That was nothing but an amateur parlor trick.  You might want to upgrade to something else.”

“Speaking of an upgrade, let’s do it!”  JT screamed as his eyes sparkled with energy as the chains that were wrapped around his body disappeared as a strange looking crystal appeared in his hand.  “Soul Eternal, Change-up!”

With JT’s words, a bright light filled the area as a ribbon-like energy surrounded his body, changing his clothing.  When the light faded, JT stood there naked as the day he was born.  The person laughing and pointing, JT looked down, noticing that he was naked as he looked at Necroloque and then looked back at the person.

“Why—why didn’t I transform?”  JT asked.

“I don’t know my boy, I believe something is blocking our powers,” Necroloque responded as JT shook his head, accepting the cloak from him, covering his naked body.

“Can’t be, my powers are working just fine,” JT stated as Necroloque shook his head.

“You seem to be relying on your innate powers, not the powers you possess due to Limbo,” Necroloque spoke as he gestured with his hand and nothing happened.

“Awww, is the wimpy king and prince, wondering what is happening with their powers?”  The person asked with a smile on their face.

“JT, who is this person?  How did they get here?”  Tara asked, moving along the wall, trying to get closer to JT and Necroloque.

“I can’t mind-tap them to find out,” JT replied with a frown.  “Why do I get the feeling that something else is going on here, that I don’t know about.  Uncle, is there something you’re not telling me?”

“Divine could be behind this,” Necroloque stated as JT’s eyes flared with energy as Tara sighed and then shook her head.

“Oh, here we go,” Tara stated as JT looked back at Necroloque and then back at the person.

“Who are you?”  JT asked, looking the person straight on.  “Why are you here?  How did you get here?”

“To simply answer your question,” the person spoke, waving its hand in mid-air.  “I was here, way long before your pathetic grandmother and kingy here took over the place.”

“You’re an elder?”  JT sarcastically asked, looking at the person and then back to Necroloque.  “Is that right Uncle, is this person one of the Elders?”

“Not any elder that I know of,” Necroloque replied as the person shook their head and then gestured with their hand in his direction as he’s knocked against the wall and held in place.  “This place isn’t going to hurt us, it belongs to us.”

“That’s where you’re wrong,” the person stated with a smile.  “Castle Limbo is no more under the control of Clan Chosen.”

“Who is it under control of?”  JT asked as his hand sparkled with energy.  “Last time I checked, this was my castle, my domain!”

“Oh, you silly boy, you don’t know what you speak of,” the person spoke, shaking their head.  “Apparently they didn’t tell you the rules of magic and how magic completely works.”

“What are these so-called rules that they didn’t tell me about?”  JT asked, tapping his foot on the floor.  “What is it that I don’t know?”

“Apparently, there’s a whole lot you don’t know about,” the person stated, walking past JT and over to the mirror that stood in the room.  “Mirror, what are you?”

“It’s a damn mirror, what kind of question is that?”  Tara asked, looking at the person strangely.  “You can’t just ask the mirror something like that.”

“The mirror can answer any question posed to it,” the person responded as JT shook his head.

“She has a point, why are you asking the mirror what it is?”  JT asked, looking at the person strangely.

“To prove a point,” the person answered with a sly smile on their face.  “Mirror, what are you?”

“Should I answer the question my liege?”  The voice of the mirror asked as JT shook his head.

“Knock yourself out,” JT replied as the mirror’s reflection cracked.  “What in the hell just happened?”

“My boy, get away from there, get away from the mirror,” Necroloque spoke as JT looked over at him and then moved quickly to get away from the mirror and the person.

“What’s going on Uncle?”  JT asked.

“I don’t know, but something’s not right,” Necroloque replied as the mirror started to glow and then the mirror’s shards exploded inward, creating a portal-like phenomenon as it grew in size as a creature stepped out of it.

“No, Celestus,” Necroloque whispered as Tara turned and looked at him.

“Did you say something sir?”  Tara asked as things shook up around them.

“Why do I get the feeling that I’ve met these creature before,” JT said as Necroloque shook his head.

“I’m sure you have Prince,” the person stated as the portal closed and the creature was fully in the room.  “Welcome King Celestus.”

“King Celestus,” Tara and JT spoke in unison.

“What in the hell are you the king of?”  JT asked, stepping back as he reached behind his back, but nothing appeared in his hand.

“I am the king of this domain,” the creature spoke, it’s feet stepping on the ground as things in the area started to change around all of them.  “Your kind took this place from me centuries ago and now it’s time for me to reclaim what’s rightfully mine.”

“Nothing was taken from you centuries ago Celestus!  You misused and squandered the power the elders entrusted you with!”  Necroloque snapped, moving in front of JT and Tara.  “You used this place as a dumping ground for your wrongdoing and they took this place from you and passed it to someone that would not misuse it.”

“And you think Princey here is using it the right way?”  The person asked, looking at Necroloque.  “Both of you have used this place for years as a means of…”

“A means of what… A means to get away from others,” JT spoke as he stepped in front of Celestus.  “I’ll admit it, I’ve done that tons of times.  When I want to escape what’s going on in my life, I come here, so I can avoid others.”

“Limbo wasn’t designed for that,” the person stated as JT shook his head.

“If memory serves correctly, this place was designed as the stopping point for souls to go to their final resting place,” JT stated as he shook his head and then folded his arms across his chest.  “This place is the nexus between heaven and hell!”

“You’re almost right,” the person stated as Necroloque sighed and then shook his head.

“What do you mean I’m almost right, I am right,” JT stated as the person shook their head and then laughed.

“Kingy here hasn’t told you the true meaning of this place it seems,” the person stated as he walked over to Celestus and bowed his head.  “May I King?”

“Yes you may,” Celestus replied as the person tapped it’s foot on the floor and then stepped backwards as a portal-like phenomenon opened under all of them.

“No!”  Tara screamed, grabbing Necroloque as she floated off the floor with him, holding him by the collar of his top as she took off her lasso and used it to rope a column, using the lasso to hold her and Necroloque from being pulled into the phenomenon.

“What in the hell are you doing?”  JT asked as he held onto a column in the area as the phenomenon started to pull things around them into it.  “It’s sucking everything into it!  Make it stop!”

“Why should I make it stop, I’m enjoying this way too much,” the person stated as JT eyes started to glow an eerie purple color.

“You will stop it right now,” JT spoke as his hands sparkled with energy.  “Saturn! Anima aeterna, Change Sursum![1]

With JT’s words, his eyes crackled with energy as his body is enveloped by the ribbon-like energy and his costume appeared.  Still holding onto the column, JT reached behind his back with one of his hands, reaching for air as his scepter appeared.

“Stop my boy, don’t do that!  No isn’t the time!”  Necroloque screamed as JT waved the scepter through the air as he floated away from the column, spinning around in a circle.  “My boy, you can’t do that here, not now!”

“I must do something to stop these fools!”  JT screamed, holding the scepter high above his head.  “Saturn!”

“No JT, I think you need to listen to him!”  Tara screamed, still holding Necroloque by the collar of his shirt as JT spun around in a circle, waving the scepter in a strange formation.

“No, don’t listen to them, do your worst Princey,” the person stated as he moved to stand in front of Celestus. “Go ahead Princey, do what you want.”

“Saturn!  Soul Eternal Kiss!”  JT screamed as he aimed the scepter at the person and Celestus as a manifestation of energy, shaped like lips, struck the person, knocking him down to the ground as Celestus smiled and then laughed out.  “You think that was funny monster?”

“I wish these parlor tricks would come to an end,” Celestus spoke, moving towards the phenomenon, entering it, disappearing from view.

“Where did that monster go?”  JT asked as the phenomenon started to close.

“I have a strange feeling that he’s headed to Earth,” Necroloque stated as he and Tara landed on the floor as the person got up off the floor and then looked around.

“No!  He left here without me?  Where did the master go?”  The person asked, his expression changing to a frantic one.

“Apparently, you’ve been left behind, whoever you are,” JT spoke, landing in front of the person.  “So, who are you?”

“I’m not going to tell you,” the person stated as JT shook his head.

“Either you tell me or I’ll find out for myself, the hard way,” JT stated as Tara shook her head.

“I doubt you would want to do that Princey,” the person stated as JT’s eyes flared with psychic energy as the person’s eye color changed to match the energy of his eyes.  “What are you doing?”

“I’m discovering who you are,” JT stated as dropped to his knees and screamed out.  “No!  This—this can’t be!”

“What’s going on JT?”  Tara asked, rushing over to JT as she tried to touch him, but an invisible force knocked her backwards.  “JT!”

“He… This… Oh God, what in the hell is going on?”  JT asked, shaking his head as he looked over at Necroloque.  “This fool is supposed to be dead!”

“Who’s supposed to be dead?”  Tara asked, getting up off the ground and walking over to where JT was, doing her best, avoiding touching him again.

“Uncle, this fool isn’t supposed to exist right now,” JT stated as he got up off the floor, holding his side.  “Remember Uncle, remember the day of my birth, the day you pulled me from the future, to help you stop an attempt on my life.”

“What are you talking about?”  Necroloque asked, looking at JT strangely.

“On the day of my birth, you pulled me from the future to help you stop a crazy family from killing me, to take my powers, so they could get ahead of us on the Winding Way.  This is one of the fools!”  JT snapped, his body emanating psychic energy brightly, the manifestation taking on the form of a firebird.  “Remember Uncle, this fool is the one that was acting as if he were Legacy Osiris!  This is Ryan Hall, he’s supposed to not exist!”

“I have no idea of what you speak of,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head.  “How do you know this person?  When did his family attempt to kill you?”

“This is getting us nowhere,” JT stated as he moved over to Necroloque, grabbed his hand quickly as his eyes glowed an eerie purple color, a sign that he was using his psychic powers to share information mentally.  “Do you remember things now?”

“My boy, I—I have no recollection of this ever happening,” Necroloque responded as his eyes stopped glowing.

“You may not, but I do,” JT replied as he moved away from Necroloque, turning his attention back to the person standing near them.  “That fool is Ryan Hall and he’s not supposed to exist right now.  He needs to be stopped.”

“If he’s not supposed to exist right now, why is he here now, in Limbo of all places?”  Tara asked, looking at JT strangely.  “He’s standing right there.  Unless this is another trick of the mirror, then something is drastically wrong.”

“Yeah, something is drastically wrong here,” JT stated as he looked back at Necroloque.  “They brought the mirror.  What’s going to happen because of that?”

“I don’t know, but it can’t be good,” Necroloque stated as he moved over to the person identified as Ryan Hall and waved a hand in front of his face.  “How did you get here to Limbo?”

“Limbo doesn’t belong to you,” Ryan stated as JT shook his head.

“You keep saying that, but all of us here know that not t be the truth,” JT stated as he waved his hand as a Japanese katana blade forged of psychic energy appeared in his hand.  “Come on now, don’t make me use this on you again.”

“No my boy, we don’t need to go that route again.  I saw from your mind, what happened the last time you did that,” Necroloque stated as he shook his head.  “Put that away and let’s look at things logically here.”

“Logically, he broke my scrying glass and released Celestus into only God knows where,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “Where did Celestus go?”

“I’m not telling,” Ryan stated with a smile as he folded his arms across his chest.  “You could’ve handled things totally different, but you wanted to be the powerhouse that you are.”

“What are you spouting on about now?”  JT asked as he stepped in front of Ryan.

“Like your friend Hank said, you can’t change everything in the world,” Ryan stated as JT looked at him with wide eyes.

“How—how did you know what Hank said?  Have… You’ve been watching me!”  JT snapped as he grabbed Ryan by the collar of his shirt, jacking him up off of his feet and then tossing him through the air.  “How long have you been spying on me?”

“You act like you’re so damn important,” Ryan stated as he got up off the floor and then rubbed at his head.  “Who says I was spying on you?”

“Well who in the hell else were you spying on, if you weren’t spying on me?  Who else do you know, that I know?”  JT asked, looking at Ryan strangely.

“You’d be very surprised by that,” Ryan replied with a sly smile on his face.

“I don’t have time for the game you’re trying to play here,” JT stated as he reached behind his back again, grabbing for air as his scepter appeared.  “I’m going to put an end to you and make sure that you don’t plague me ever again.”

“Didn’t you do that already,” Ryan stated as he looked at JT.  “You did that already and yet, here I am, plaguing you again.  Haven’t you figured it out already, you can’t get rid of me.”

“I can’t get rid of you,” JT said as he shook his head.

“Remember what happened the last time you tried to get rid of me,” Ryan stated as he smiled.  “You stabbed me in the forehead with your sword!”

“Yeah, I did and your point,” JT stated as his eyes crackled with energy.

“And what happened to you in the process of doing that?”  Ryan asked, smirking at JT.

“My transformation melted away and I almost died, mainly because someone in your family, cast a spell on me, to tie your soul to mine, so whatever I did to you, I would do to myself,” JT explained as Tara’s eyes widened.

“This is getting drawn too far out,” Tara stated as she looked over at JT.  “Where did that monster go?”

“That’s something I can’t say,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “I don’t even think he knows, since I wasn’t able to see it in his head.”

“Time’s a wasting here,” Tara stated as she shook her head.  “We need to stop that thing, before it hurts somebody.  We can deal with this child later on.”

“True, we do need to stop Celestus, but that’s something we can’t do, if we don’t know where he could possibly be,” JT stated as Ryan laughed and then tapped his foot on the ground as another strange phenomenon appeared as he jumped through it quickly, disappearing from the area.  “What the hell!”

“Now he’s gone,” Tara stated as she shook her head.  “Do you happen to know where he’s going?”

“I am not able to see anything outside of Limbo, now that my mirror has been broken,” JT stated as he sighed.  “The only way I’m going to see anything out of here, is for me to leave here.”

“Then what are you waiting for, let’s go,” Tara stated as she looked at JT strangely as Necroloque stepped over to JT.

“She has a point my boy.  You need to go find Celestus and that child and put a stop to whatever they are trying to do.  While you do that, I’ll see how Divine ties into things and I’ll join you two later on.”

“Fine,” JT stated as he looked at Tara, took her hand and then snapped his fingers as the two of them disappeared.

Chapter 16 —End Game

Washington, D.C. – The Pentagon – The Restricted Prison Cell Area

JT’s POV

Damn it, my head feels like someone used it to play a damn drum solo out on.  Did I get my ass beat or what?  What in the hell is going on?  Where in the hell am I?  The last thing I remember, I was on a date with Brian and now… Well, now I don’t know what’s going on and I can’t seem to get a fix on where I am.  Why can’t I get a psychic lock on my surroundings?  Are my powers working or is there something hindering me from using them?

“Uhhhh,” I groaned, opening my eyes but I didn’t see anything around me.

Am I in the dark?  I must be in the damn dark.  I can’t see anything, so I must be in the dark, duh.  But, being in the dark doesn’t explain why I’m not able to sense anything around me or where I am.  What in the hell is going on?  Where in the hell am I?

“Is there someone there?”  I heard a woman’s voice, but I didn’t know where the voice came from.

“Who are you?”  I asked, not able to get a psychic fix on the person the voice belonged to.

“I asked you first,” the woman spoke as I tried again to get a psychic fix on where the voice came from, but it seemed nothing worked in the mental power department for me.

“My name is Malevolent, what’s yours?”  I asked.

“What kind of name is Malevolent?”  The woman asked.

“It’s my name and it’s the only one you’re going to get out of me,” I replied, not knowing what to really expect, since I had no clue as to where I was, who this person was and who else was around.  I’m going to be using my codename until I get more information here.

“Fine, my name is Elaina,” the woman replied as there was a clicking sound and then there was light.  Finally, I’m able to see where I am and I’m not happy.  I’m in a big open space, a damn prison cell.  “You!”

“Me what,” I said, moving back quickly as there was a buzzing sound as she got up from where she sat and then moved into a fighting stance as her eyes glowed.  “Look, I don’t know who you are, but I’m not trying to get into a…”

“You don’t want to get into a fight… It’s way too late for that,” she said, waving her hand in my direction as I felt something lift me up off the floor and then I was thrown across the room, slamming into the wall.

“Owwww!”  I screamed, sliding down the wall.  “Look lady, I don’t know you.  I’m not going to allow you to do that again!”

“You have no choice in the matter!”  She screamed, raising her hand again as I shook my head, holding my hand out, trying to use my powers to block what she was doing.  It seems she’s psychic like me.  I wonder how psychic she really is.

Getting up from the floor quickly, I moved around, doing my best to avoid what she was throwing at me.  She’s trying to ram me with telekinetic energy.  I can feel the waves of energy from her, trying to push me backwards.  I have to stop this quickly, before it goes any further.  There’s no reason for the two of us to be fighting like this.  I don’t know her, she doesn’t know me.  Why did she come after me like that?

“Come on lady, I don’t know you.  I don’t want to fight with you here!”  I snapped as she took flight, floating over to where I stood as she attempted to punch me as I ducked and then pushed her backwards as she fell to the floor.  “Stop this!”

“No, I can’t!”  She snapped, getting up off the floor as she flew towards me as her hand sparkled with psychic energy as a mace materialized in her hand.

“Oh here we go!”  I snapped, using my powers to create my psychic sword, preparing to do battle with this unknown woman as she lunged at me with the mace, trying to pummel me in the head with it as I blocked her and then swung at her with my sword, knocking her down to the floor.  “Look, I don’t want to do this!  You might want to stop!  I am way more experienced at this than you are!”

“Don’t be so sure of that,” I heard someone else say as I looked around, trying to find out where the other voice came from.

“I’m not going to be easily defeated here,” I said as the woman got up off the floor quickly and then created a second mace in the other hand as she aimed both of them at me as I shook my head and then lashed out with my telekinesis, knocking her backwards to the floor.  “I take it that you are psychic and all and can pretty much do the same things as I, but I am far from just being psychic.  I am not going to let you hurt me damn it!”

“You don’t have a choice in the matter Malevolent.  She’s been mentally enhanced to your level, so she can defeat you,” the other voice spoke as I shook my head.

“I’m still not going to let her hurt me,” I said, keeping my eyes on her as I tried to detect anything else that could possibly happen around me as she tried to lunge for me again as I ducked out of the way as she fell to the floor.

“Are you going to use your magic on me Malevolent?”  The woman asked, getting up off the floor again and then lunging towards me again as I knocked her backwards again.  “Was that the use of your magic against me?”

“No, but it seems you’re looking for something,” I replied, waving my hand at her, holding her in place as I tried to think about what happened before I ended up in this place.

What in the hell did happen before I got to this damn prison cell?  How did I end up in this prison cell?  The last thing I remember happening, I—I was fighting… That’s it, I was fighting with someone, but who?  That’s it, I was fighting with Darren.  Damn it!  I can’t believe that fool was trying to take up for Ranger!

What in the hell is wrong with him?  I showed him all the things that Ranger did.  Why does he believe that Ranger is a good person and doesn’t mean us any harm?  I used my telepathy to show him all the things that Ranger had been doing to our kind of people, but it seems something else happened.  Damn it, Ranger must’ve done something.  What did that fucker do and how did I end up here with this damn woman, trying to kill me all of a sudden?  Then again, why is she asking me about my powers, mainly my magic?  Is there something else at play here?  Why do I get the feeling that there’s a bigger agenda going on?

Another Prison Cell Area

Tara’s POV

“No damn it, I would like to know what in the hell you were thinking!”  I snapped, looking over at Darren like he was crazy.  “What’s the deal with you and Malevolent?  Did you actually think you could win against him in a fight with magic?  He’s all powerful in…”

“I was thinking that I couldn’t allow him to use his magic to kill someone,” he replied, looking up at me.  “If he would’ve used his powers to kill that man, he would’ve thrown this world’s spiritual balance out of whack, dooming us all.”

“How do you know that?”  I asked, looking over at him.  “What’s really going on with you two?  A long while ago, he told me that there was more than meets the eye with you.  What did he mean by that Conjurer?  What is it that you’re hiding from me?”

“I’m not hiding anything from you baby,” he replied as I shook my head.  “I don’t know what he’s talking about.  He’s your friend, only you can decipher his cryptic messages.”

“Don’t be funny with me Conjurer,” I said as he looked down.  “I have a feeling you know what he means and you’re holding back something.  So, what is it?  Is there something about your powers that I don’t know?”

“Come on babe, you know everything there is to know about me and my powers,” he replied as I looked over at him strangely.

“I know everything,” I said as he nodded his head with a grim look on his face.  “I don’t’ really believe that Conjurer.  So, why don’t you enlighten me a bit.”

“Enlighten you in what way Darling?”  He asked as I shook my head again.

“You know what, I know you’re hiding something from me, but that’s okay.  I’m not going to worry about it right now, being that we’re trapped someplace with the enemy and we can’t seem to get out,” I said, hoping that would spark something in him to get him to use his magic to get us out of wherever it was we’re being held.  “We shouldn’t be trapped here like rats; we should be out of here, saving the others.”

“The others can save themselves, especially Malevolent,” he said as I shook my head, pissed off with his revelation.

“I’ve had enough of this!”  I snapped as I felt something deep within me open up as I slammed my fist into the wall, knocking a hole through to the other side, revealing a room where Zee, Walden and Caleb were being held.

“Darling!”  He exclaimed as I glared at him and then looked around quickly as I stepped through the hole, going to check out what was going on with the others.

“Alpha, Champion, Cat, are you guys all right?”  I asked, running over to where Walden lay on the floor.  “Alpha, can you hear me?”

“Yeah, I can hear you,” Walden replied as he opened his eyes and then looked up at me.  “What’s going on?  Where are we?  Am I on the floor?”

“Yeah, you’re on the floor, but I have no idea where we are or what’s going on,” I answered him as I looked around to see that Darren was helping Zee as I helped Walden stand.  “Have you seen Chase?”

“I haven’t seen the Speedy Gonzales wannabe since—since, I don’t remember when I last saw him,” Walden stated with a frown.  “What day is it?”

“That’s something I don’t know,” I replied as Zee and Caleb walked over to where we were.

“So, no one knows where we are, right?”  Zee spoke as I nodded my head at her.  “Something’s not right here.  I—I can’t change into the cat.”

“I don’t think any of our special powers are working,” I spoke as Walden looked at the wall and then back at me.

“If none of our powers are working, how did that big ass hole get there?”  Walden asked as Zee and Caleb looked at me strangely.

“I don’t think what’s going on here is effected by magic.  My powers come from magic,” I stated as Zee and Caleb raised an eye at me.

“You’re not like us?”  Zee asked as I shook my head.  “Well, isn’t that special.”

“Right now, it is,” I said as I looked around at Darren.  “We need to get out of here and find Malevolent and Chase.”

“We need to find the Asian guy also,” Caleb stated as I looked at him, wondering who he was referring to.

“What Asian guy?”  I asked.

“The one that tried to help me out.  He was fighting with General Ranger’s men when they were trying to get me, but he got knocked down.  That was the last thing I remember,” Caleb stated as he looked down.  “I—I think I know him…”

“Well, I guess that’s another person to add to the search list,” I said as I walked towards the opposite wall and then punched it, knocking a hole through it, so we could leave the room.

Zee’s POV

What in the world is going on around here?  Why am I not able to transform into the cat right now?  Is there something wrong with me?  Everything that JT taught me how to do, it’s not working right now.  What’s wrong with my powers?

Where in the hell are we?  Are we somewhere with the government?  I don’t know where in the hell I am and I’m scared as hell right now.  I can’t take this.  I need to get out into the open and be free.  I need to be free to be me!  I feel like I’m closed in, but I don’t know if that’s the case or not.

All I know right now, I’m someplace, scared and it seems the people I call my friends have some issues of their own.  The way Tara and Darren are looking at each other right now, I can tell there’s something going on between them, I just don’t know what that something is.  Walden is a bit quiet, but then again, he always seems quiet where I’m concerned and when I’m around.  I wonder what that means.  Caleb on the other hand, he’s very vocal, but what he’s spouting off right now isn’t worth listening to.

All of this is just not working out for me.  Not knowing where I am right now is scaring the hell out of me!  Then again, that’s not really scaring me, not being able to transform into the cat is scaring the hell out of me!  I can’t do this.  I need to be able to transform into a stronger, more confident version of…

“Cat, are you okay?”  I heard Caleb say as I felt something tapping my shoulder.

“Not really, but we need to find the others,” I replied, looking around just as Tara stepped in front of me and then punched the wall a few times, creating an opening for us to walk through as we stepped  into what looked like some kind of barbaric arena where we found JT and some woman, the two of them duking it out like there was no tomorrow.

“What in the hell is this?”  Tara asked as she jumped into the air, taking flight.

“No, stop that woman!”  Someone yelled as some military men rushed into the area, surrounding us and then firing their rifles into the air.  “Stop all of them fools, don’t let them escape!”

“No!  Get away from me!”  I screamed as one of the men grabbed me, trying to hold me tight as I struggled to get away from him.  “Don’t touch me!”

“Saturn!  Anima et Mens concursorum gravium![1]”  I heard JT yell as a sphere of energy appeared above his head as he reached up with his hand, grabbed the energy and then threw it at the man that I struggled with as the guy screamed out.  “Cat, are you okay?”

“I—I’m getting there,” I replied as he smiled weakly as I kicked the guy and then moved away from him.  “What’s going on here Malevolent?”

“I would like to know that myself.  What’s going on here Mal, are you okay?”  Tara asked, floating down to where he stood as there was a blinding flash of light as I had to shield my eyes.

(<SPLINGKKKT>)

“Well, there you are,” I heard someone say as I moved my arm to see a black woman standing in front of JT and Tara as he moved quickly to avoid the other woman that was trying to hurt him.

“Miz Melody?”  JT spoke, looking at the woman closely and then moved around again as he grabbed her by the arm, pulling her with him as Tara moved out the way also.  “What are you doing here?  How did you get here?”

“No baby, what are you doing here?”  The woman asked as JT raised his hand, using his powers to deflect the other woman’s attack.  “What’s going on here?”

“What’s going on here, that woman is trying to kill me because a mad man named General Ranger told her to!”  JT snapped, moving again as he raised his arm, using his powers to deflect what the woman was doing as she slid across the floor.  “Her name is Elaina Burns, she some kind of psychic that Ranger and his people have genetically tampered with and brainwashed.  She’s exhibiting different types of powers, but I don’t know what her true power is.”

“Hey, why are your powers working, but the rest of ours aren’t?”  I asked as he looked at me strangely and then ducked quickly to avoid being hit.  “I can’t change into the cat right now!”

“My best guess is that they have a power dampening field around you, that’s stopping you from changing,” he replied as he shook his head and then stood in one spot as he held up his hand.  “Enough!”

“Uh oh,” I heard Darren say as JT’s body glowed brightly, crackling with energy.

“I’ve had enough of this madness!”  JT snapped, gesturing with his hand at the woman as she floated in place, struggling against an invisible barrier.  “It’s time that I put an end to you and everything wrong here.”

“What are you going to do baby?”  The black woman asked as she moved closer to JT.  “You seem to be displaying a whole lot of power right now.  Don’t you do something that will cause a bigger problem.”

“That’s the problem Miz Melody,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “Me, not using my powers fully is why that mad man is in control of things now!”

“Baby, don’t do something that’s going to make things worse,” the woman spoke as there was a blur next to JT and then Brian appeared.  I wonder where he’s been all this time.

“I’m going to do what I should’ve done a long time ago,” JT stated as the woman grabbed his hand as his eyes glowed brightly, projecting beams of energy through the area as everything got too bright to see.

“Malevolent, what are you doing?  What’s going on, I can’t see!”  I heard Brian yell as I heard others screaming around me.

I can’t see anything and I would like to know what’s going on to make people scream like that.  Attempting to open my eyes again, the light was still too bright and I wasn’t able to see anything.  What is JT doing?  What did he mean by he was going to do what he should’ve done a long time ago.  What should he have done?

“Malevolent, please stop!”  I heard Brian’s voice again, but still didn’t know what was going on.

“Baby, you might want to do what he says.  I’m not liking what I’m feeling right now,” I heard that strange looking woman say.  “You need to stop what you are doing and just come back with me.”

“I’m not going to stop and I’m not going back with you!”  I heard JT snap as someone else screamed.  “Those people are trying to take advantage of our kind and I’m not going to allow them to do that.  If it was all up to Ranger, he would want nothing more than for us to be his damn slaves! I am not going to be his slave!”

“Well if you’re not going back with me and you’re not going to stop, how can I get you to see the big picture here?”  The strange looking woman asked.  “You must stop what you’re doing or you’re going to destroy this world!”

“I am not going to destroy the world, it’s going to be cleansed—cleansed of this damn evil that monster created!”  JT screamed as I felt something deep within me tingle.  “That monster has plagued this world for far too long!”

“You stopping this monster will only open the door for more monsters baby,” I heard Brian’s voice next.  “There’s got to be another way.  Please stop what you’re doing, there has to be another way.”

“There isn’t another way!”  JT snapped as the ground started to rumble.  “Ranger and his followers will only continue doing what they are doing.  They don’t care about people like us!”

“But you killing him, will make you just like him,” Brian said as JT sighed and then there was another scream.  “Don’t be like him baby.  I don’t want to be married to a killer.  If you love me and want to marry me, you’ll find a different way to stop him.”

“Fine,” JT spoke as I heard what sounded like things falling to the ground.

“Thank God, I can see again,” I heard Tara’s voice as I moved my arm and then opened my eyes to see that the light generated by JT was gone.

“Stupid fool!  You should’ve killed me when you had the chance,” General Ranger spoke as he got up from the ground and started walking towards all of us as he laughed.  “You fucked up freak!”

“Guy, your life was spared, you should be thanking the stars that you are alive,” I said as the guy kept walking towards us, like he didn’t care.

“Condemning me to death would’ve only ignited a war between the humans and your kind.  Had that freak killed me, it would’ve only destroyed your kind in the end,” General Ranger spoke as Tara shook her head.

“Big talk for a small man,” Tara spoke as General Ranger turned and looked at her.

“As I was saying, you should’ve killed me, but now that you haven’t, a war will be waged and I’ll be victorious freak!”  General Ranger exclaimed as he raised both of his hands, laughing maniacally.

“Stand down General,” someone else spoke as I looked around, trying to see who it was as I noticed a man walking from the shadows.  “I’ve witnessed too much here and what I’ve been witness to, needs to change.”

“Who are you?”  JT asked as he stepped back a bit, taking on a defensive stance as his hands sparkled with energy.

“You needn’t worry about who I am,” the man spoke as he got up close to General Ranger and then punched him in the face, knocking him out as his body fell to the ground.  “What you need to worry about is getting out of here now, all of you.”

“You—you’re just going to let us go?”  I asked, looking at the man like he was crazy.

“This is a restricted military operations base, none of you should be here right now.  I’m going to disavow all knowledge of you all being here,” the man said as JT shook his head.

“Why are you going to do that?”  JT asked, looking at the man strangely as I moved closer to him, seeing that his eyes were glowing an eerie purple color.

“You’re not supposed to be here, any of you,” the man replied as he looked down and then stepped over General Ranger’s body.  “The longer you all remain here, the shorter that directive will go.  What I’m saying is, the quicker you get out of here, the less time it would take for someone here to take action to arrest you for breaking laws against the government.”

“We didn’t break any laws against the government, that fool…” JT spoke as the man shook his head.

“From what I saw, you young man did break the law.  A few days ago, you flew upon these grounds, using unknown, destructive means to destroy government property,” the man stated as he looked over at JT.  “That action alone would get one arrested, but seeing that in some strange sense, you were defending yourself against the moron’s past actions against you.  For now, I’ll look past that, but you all must leave here now.”

“Malevolent, I think we need to just call this a win and leave,” Tara stated as she grabbed JT’s hand.

“Come on baby, let’s just end this and leave,” Brian said as he grabbed JT’s other hand.

“He’s not stopped,” JT spoke, looking over at General Ranger’s body that lay on the ground.  “He’s an evil man that needs to be completely stopped.  He’s only going to resume what he was doing.”

“He’s not going to resume anything here,” the man stated as he dropped the cigar he smoked on the ground and then put it out with his foot.  “I can assure you—all of you, that you don’t have to worry about General Ranger.”

“Sounds very good to me,” the strange looking woman said as she looked over at JT.

“Come on, he’s stopped for now, let’s just take this for a win,” Tara spoke, tugging on JT’s hand as he sighed.

“Fine, you deal with that monster.  If he rears his ugly head again, I’ll take him down, that’s a promise,” JT stated as he looked at Tara and then at Brian as his eyes started to shimmer with energy as everything around him got bright.

An Ending…

Limbo Uprising – Chapter 1

Chapter 1 — Home Coming

Mar 16, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – The X-Ternals’ Compound – The Infirmary

“Oh God, I didn’t think I could do it,” JT spoke, floating down to the floor as his costume changed to his regular clothes and his scepter disappeared as Tara rushed over to where he stood.

“Are you okay JT?”  Tara asked, checking his body over.  “That took a lot of power and you look like…”

“I look like hell warmed over,” JT stated with a frown on his face.  “Is that what you were going to say Tara?”

“No, I was going to say that you look like you need some sleep,” Tara replied with a frown.

“Yeah, I’m tired, but I don’t know where I’m going to get sleep.  How am I supposed to sleep right now?”  JT asked, looking around.  “It’s going to take some time to come to terms with all that’s happened here.”

“Like your uncle said, none of this was your fault JT.  You shouldn’t be dwelling on this,” A’Mora stated with a frown.

“But you know he’s going to dwell on it anyway,” Hank stated, looking over at JT.

“I have no choice but to dwell on it,” JT stated, looking down.  “This mess is my fault and there’s nothing I can do to change any of it now.  All that’s happened is stuck in the timeline and there’s nothing anyone can do to change it, to the way it should be.”

“Change it to the way it should be… What are you talking about J?”  Tara asked, looking at JT strangely.

“I’m talking about Donna being here.  She’s supposed to be here, with the rest of us, not dead.  She was supposed to be here to live her life, to have a family, to have a successful career.  She was supposed to…”

“From what has been said already, all we can really do is move on with our lives JT.  There’s nothing we can really do about Donna’s actions,” Tara stated as she looked down.

“Those were not Donna’s actions, it was the demonphage’s actions!”  JT snapped as the area around them shook.  “If it hadn’t removed the power blockers from her mind, that restricted her powers, she would still be here now!”

“Calm down J,” Drew stated as he walked up to JT and rubbed his back.

“I’m not going to calm down!”  JT snapped, jerking away from Drew’s touch.  “One of my friends, your friend too, killed themselves because of something I could’ve stopped!”

“How could you have stopped the demonphage JT?”  Drew asked, looking at JT strangely.  “You’re powerful, but you’re not that powerful JT.  You’re not God.”

“I never said I was God,” JT stated, turning away from Drew.

“No, you didn’t say it, but sometimes you act as if you are,” Drew stated as he folded his arms across his chest.  “You can’t control everything that goes on in the world JT.”

“I do no such thing,” JT stated as he turned back towards Drew, glaring at him.

“Come off it JT, you’ve been acting that way since I’ve known you,” Hank stated as he stepped up behind Drew.  “You know you have power and you’ve always done everything you can to display that power to the rest of us and the people we’ve taken down.  So, don’t stand there and say you don’t act like you’re God!”

“I—I’m sorry, if that’s the impression I’ve given you guys, I’m really sorry,” JT stated as he shook his head and then sighed.  “That’s another reason why I should’ve been able to do what I had planned to do moments ago.”

“No, that’s just another sign of you trying to act like you’re God!”  Hank snapped, pointing his finger at JT.  “There are things in the world that shouldn’t be controlled.  There are things in this world that even you can’t change.  Donna’s actions, ending her life is one of those things!”

“I have the power to…” JT started as Hank rolled his eyes and then sighed.

“Yep, you have the power, but did you ever use it the way it was supposed to be used?  Even though you’re a psychic with the power to see into the future, that doesn’t mean you can see the outcome of everything that’s going to happen.  You can’t control the outcome of every living being on the planet JT.  We can make our own damn decisions!”  Hank snapped, throwing his hands up.  “Everything isn’t about you always coming to the damn rescue!”

“You have a point,” JT stated as he waved his hand in the air, creating a portal as he shook his head and then flew into it as Tara shook her head and then flew in behind him as it closed.

“Hank, I think you said too much,” A’Mora stated as she looked down.

“He needed to hear it though,” Hank replied, looking down as he shook his head.  “Besides, you all were thinking the same thing I was, go on and admit it.”

“He might have needed to hear that, but he didn’t need to hear it the way it was delivered,” Drew stated, looking down.  “I guess we have to wait until he calms down for him to come back.”

“I guess so,” A’Mora replied, looking around.  “Who wants to start the clean-up process?”

“You all can be my guest,” Hank replied, making a move towards the door as Drew grabbed him by the arm, stopping him.  “Damn it, I was so close.”

“If we have to clean up this place, so do you,” Drew stated as he sighed and then walked out of the room.

Between Here and There – The Limbo Dimension – Castle Limbo

“I thought after he took back his power and the world continued, things would be different, but as you can see, things are not,” Necroloque spoke as he walked past a mirror with Mother Divine’s reflection in it.  “Things in the real world will never be alright for my boy.  Do you see what your actions have done?”

“No Sidney, nothing I did was responsible for any of that,” Mother Divine spoke as Necroloque looked at the scrying glass and then snapped his fingers as the images changed.

“You have a point there.  I can’t blame everything Chaos did on your actions, but I can contribute most of what it did to your meddling in Timmy’s life,” Necroloque stated as he shook his head.  “So, what do I do with you now?  I can’t hold you in that mirror for…”

“No, you can’t hold me in this mirror forever, trapped like this brother,” Mother Divine stated as her eyes glowed an eerie purple color.  “You will pay dearly for entrapping me this way.”

“Remember sister, I reign supreme here, not you,” Necroloque spoke as his eyes crackled with energy.  “You are just a visitor to this realm, keep that in mind.”

“I may be a visitor here, but my powers will set me free and when they do,” Mother Divine spoke as the castle walls shook.  “What’s happening?”

“I don’t know, but that shouldn’t be your main concern right now,” Necroloque spoke as there was a flash of light in the area as things seemed to fade in and out around them as new walls appeared around himself and Mother Divine, blocking them from the rest of the castle.

(<PAMPH>)

“Where are we JT?”  Tara asked as she looked around the area as she covered her mouth.

“Limbo,” JT answered as he looked around and then sighed as he waved his hand as another portal appeared.  “You’re leaving here Tara.”

“Nope, I’m not leaving here JT.  You might as well hang that idea up,” Tara stated as she looked at him as if he were crazy.  “If you’re not with me when I go, I’m not going anywhere.  If I go damn it, you go!”

“I’m not going anywhere and you can’t stay here in this domain,” JT stated as he looked around again.

“What happened to this place JT?”  Tara asked as she looked around again.  “It looks like a battle took place here.”

“I—I don’t remember this happening while I was trying to leave here,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “I don’t think I did all of this.”

“I’m sure you didn’t,” JT heard as he turned around and then stopped in his tracks. “Hello Timmy.”

“Grandma!”  JT yelled, the walls of the castle shaking and vibrating as Tara looked around again and then backed away from where JT stood.  “How—how did you get here?  How did you get to Limbo?”

“This was once my domain, a lifetime ago,” the woman spoke, smiling at JT as she walked over to where he stood.  “And as you know, your bloodline can enter Limbo freely, without you being here.”

“I thought that only applied to the chosen ones, not my entire bloodline,” JT stated as the woman shook her head.

“No so,” the woman stated as she waved her hand as it glowed brightly as a portal appeared.  “Your magical bloodline is able to enter Limbo at will, not just your family bloodline.”

“I’m confused a bit,” JT spoke as the woman shook her head.

“There’s nothing to be confused about my child,” the woman spoke.  “As long as our bloodline is the highest on the Winding Way, our bloodline is the strongest and has access to this realm.”

“So, this place isn’t just mine as I’ve always thought,” JT stated as he looked at the woman strangely.

“Not so much as this place being yours, but you are the gatekeeper here,” the woman spoke as JT looked down.

“All that time, I thought this was my domain and mine only,” JT stated as he shook his head.

“It is your domain, as it is all in our bloodline,” the woman stated as she walked down the corridor as she motioned with her head for JT to follow her.

“But—but I thought this place was tied to me and was just mine,” JT stated as the woman shook her head again.

“My child, Limbo belongs to no one in particular,” the woman stated as her eyes glowed brightly as she doubled over as if she were in pain.

“Grandma!”  JT screamed as he moved past a mirror in the area, noticing his reflection and the reflection of the thing that was posing as his grandmother.  “What the hell is going on here?”

“Is there something wrong JT?”  Tara asked as she landed next to JT.

“That’s not my grandmother,” JT stated as he waved his hand, using his magical powers as magical energy chains shot through the air, grabbing the woman, holding her tight as her visage changed.  “Who in the hell are you?”

“Come now Prince, that’s no way to talk to your dear old grandmother,” the woman stated as she laughed.

“You’re not my grandmother!”  JT screamed, his eyes crackling with magical energy as Tara stepped behind him.  “Now, who in the hell are you?”

“You’re not going to get the answers you want that way Prince,” the woman stated as she struggled to get free of the magical chains that held her tightly.  “Release me and I’ll tell you what you want to know.”

“I’m not releasing you at all,” JT stated as Tara looked at him and then at the woman.

“JT, what’s going on here?”  Tara asked as she moved backwards, stepping in front of a mirror, noticing her own reflections as she jumped and then screamed.  “No!  That—that’s not what I look like, is it?  This—this must be some sort of damn trick!”

“Snap out of it Amazon!”  JT snapped as he grabbed her hand as she stopped screaming.  “That’s my scrying glass… It sometimes reflects a person’s inner demons to them.”

“So, you’re saying I think I look like a damn demon?  That’s not right JT; I don’t see myself as the thing I just saw in that damn mirror!”  Tara screamed a JT shook his head, sighing as he kept his attention on the woman he held in his magical chains.

“I didn’t say that at all Tara,” JT stated as the woman’s eyes started to glow as the chains vibrated, some of them dissipating.

“Then what in the hell are you saying damn it?”  Tara asked as she moved away from JT as she stood in front of the mirror again, seeing a different image as she jumped backwards and then looked behind her as if someone was there.  “This is some crazy shit here!”

“Tara, please calm down, I can’t concentrate on what I need to do here and worry about what’s going on with you,” JT stated as he floated off the floor as Tara’s eyes widened.

“Are—are those demon wings on your back?”  Tara asked as JT sighed.

“No, that’s just the appearance of my cloak,” JT stated as his eyes glowed an eerie red color.  “There’s some foolery afoot in my domain and I intend to find out why.”

“Come on JT, stop playing.  You—you have demon wings on your back!”  Tara screamed as she pointed at JT as he flew towards a balcony above her.

“No, I told you it’s just my cloak taking on the form of wings.  It’s just a means of easy transportation for when I’m here,” JT stated as he landed down on the floor as the so-called wings disappeared from his back.

Somewhere Else in Castle Limbo

“What’s happening around here?”  Mother Divine asked as she slammed her hands on the glass of the mirror, having no effect of releasing her from the mirror.

“You’re not going to get out of there, regardless of how much you try.  You’ll stay in that mirror until I release you from it,” Necroloque stated as his eyes glowed.

“What’s happening out there?  What’s going on?”  Mother Divine asked.

“I don’t know what’s happening right now, I can’t seem to put my finger on it,” Necroloque replied, looking at Mother Divine as he waved his hand, trying to create a portal, but nothing happened.

“What’s wrong my brother, something wrong with your powers?”  Mother Divine asked with a sly smile.

“Is this your doing woman?  What are you up to?”  Necroloque asked, looking at the mirror that contained Mother Divine.  “Are you behind what’s happening right now?”

“You’ll never know,” Mother Divine replied as her image flickered on the mirror’s surface.

“What have you done?”  Necroloque asked as he shook his head.

“What should’ve been done a hundred years ago,” Mother Divine replied as she disappeared from the mirror’s reflection and then appeared in front of Necroloque.

“You’re free,” Necroloque stated, stepping back from Mother Divine.

“Yes my brother, I said I would be at some point,” Mother Divine stated as she stepped forward and then turned around quickly as she lashed out with her powers. “Divine, Sash of Suffering!”

(<PAMPH>)

“I don’t think so!”  Tara screamed, appearing in front of Necroloque as she deflected the magical energy beam that Mother Divine directed at him.  “Sir, are you alright?”

“Wonder Woman, how did you get here?”  Necroloque asked, looking at Tara strangely.  “What’s going on around here?”

“Let’s just say that JT has his hands full, but he sent me to help you,” Tara replied, grabbing Necroloque’s hand and flying through the air with him. “Is that really your sister?”

“I—I don’t know,” Necroloque replied.

“Something tried to trick JT into thinking it was his grandmother, but he somehow saw through the disguise,” Tara stated as she landed on a cliff, releasing Necroloque’s hand.  “He told me to give you his cloak.”

“Hmmm, why would he give me this?”  Necroloque asked, looking at Tara strangely.  “This only works for him, it was enchanted by the elders to allow him to…”

“We don’t have time for all of that sir,” Tara stated with a frown.  “He said for me to give it to you and that you shouldn’t trust your eyes.”

“With that being said Wonder Woman, can you be trusted?”  Necroloque asked, stepping back from Tara as he snapped his fingers as her costume disappeared, revealing her true visage.  “So, you really are the Wonder Woman.”

“I don’t know what’s going on in this place, but I’ll be glad when one of you figures it out,” Tara stated as she looked around.

“I’ll tell you what’s going on,” someone spoke as there was a flash of light as the castle walls started shaking.

“Who’s there?”  Necroloque asked, looking around, not seeing anyone.

“The once and former king of this realm, you are king no more,” the voice spoke as there was another flash of light and Tara and Necroloque gasped.

If I Ain’t Got You – Chapter 17

Chapter 17 — Ringing in the New Year

Jan 1, 2003 – Orlando, FL – Florida Hospital – The Emergency Room’s Rape Trauma Unit – Kasai’s Room

“Get away from me!  Don’t come near me!”  Kasai screamed as Mark rushed into the room.

“I’m here buddy, I’m here.  Shhh it’s going to be okay,” Mark spoke, doing his best to comfort Kasai as he wrapped his arms around him, hugging him to his chest.

“Daddy Mark, he’s here, he’s here!”  Kasai screamed out.

“I know, I know.  Just calm down, it’s going to be okay baby boy, it’s going to be all right,” Mark spoke, rocking Kasai back and forth.

“Is JT coming down Mark?”  Dr. Tripp asked, looking around quickly.

“Yeah, he’s on his way down.  I think he was getting into his chair when I left to come down here,” Mark replied.

“Just so you know, when he gets down here, do what you can to keep him calm.  This is all going to explode beyond this here,” Dr. Tripp stated with a frown.

“What do you mean Andy?”  Mark asked, looking over at Dr. Tripp strangely.

“Let’s just say that one of the guys responsible for hurting Kai, he has some very powerful parents,” Dr. Tripp stated as he looked down.

“I don’t care if his parents have power or not!  This guy hurt my boy and he needs to be punished for it,” Mark said, shaking his head as Dr. Tripp sighed.

“I know that Mark, but I’m just saying that this could possibly get pushed under a rug somewhat and never be heard about again,” Dr. Tripp stated with a frown.

“This will be heard about until the creeps responsible are punished for what they did to him Andy,” Mark said as JT’s voice could be heard outside the room.

“Hey Jared,” JT said as he rolled into the room.  “Officer, where is the person that hurt my child?”

“Ah JT,” Dr. Tripp said, motioning with his head as JT looked at him strangely.

“Andy, where I the guy?”  JT asked, looking around and then back at Dr. Tripp.

“He’s right there, you just passed him,” Dr. Tripp replied, pointing at the young man identified as Jared.

“Where?”  JT asked, looking around again.

“Jared’s the guy,” Dr. Tripp replied, sighing.

“What!”  Mark screamed as he jumped up from where he sat on the bed and then grabbed the kid, slamming him into the wall.  “You hurt him!?  Why did you hurt him?”

“Mark stop!”  JT screamed as the officer and Dr. Trip both tried to pull Mark off the kid.

“Get the hell off of me!”  Mark screamed, holding the kid by the neck as he continued slamming the boy into the wall.  “I’m going to kill him!  He needs to die for hurting Kai the way he did!”

“Daddy Mark stop, please stop,” Kasai softly spoke as he cried.

“Oh baby,” JT said, getting up from his wheelchair as he walked over to Kasai and held him in his arms.

“Daddy, stop him before it’s too late.  I need both of you,” Kasai said as the tears streamed down his face.

“Mark Walden, let the kid go,” the officer said, trying to pull Mark away from the kid.  “Let the kid go, you’re killing him!”

“I’m going to kill him!”  Mark screamed.

“Release my boy Mark!”  Larry Tanner screamed, rushing into the room.

“Your boy raped our son!”  Mark screamed as the police officer and Dr. Tripp tackled him down to the floor.

“Let the police handle this Mark, you’ve done enough man,” Dr. Tripp whispered into Mark’s ear.  “Come on, let’s take a walk.  JT can take care of Kai.”

“I’m not leaving out of here!”  Mark screamed.  “Not until that little bastard pays for what he’s done!”

“Andy, would you please take him somewhere and let him cool down.  Once he’s done that, then bring him back,” JT suggested as Kasai cried harder in his arms.

“Are you okay Jared?”  Larry asked, helping his son up off the floor.

“My—my head hurts Dad,” Jared replied, crying as he rubbed at his head.

“What’s this all about?”  Larry asked, looking back and forth between JT, Dr. Tripp and the police officer.

“It’s very simple Larry, your son raped my son,” JT replied as he looked up at the man.

“What?  That’s not possible, my son isn’t a fag,” Larry said, putting his hands on his hips as Dr. Tripp sighed and then shook his head.

“Excuse me!”  JT snapped.  “I said your son raped my son!”

“I heard what you said and it’s not possible!  My son is straight, he doesn’t sleep with other boys,” Larry said, shaking his head.

“Apparently he does.  He raped my son and the police officer there has the DNA evidence to prove it!”  JT yelled as Kasai covered his ears.

“Daddy, please stop, don’t get angry,” Kasai softly said.

“That’s it, everyone out!  Everyone get out now!”  JT snapped as everyone stopped in their tracks, turned around and then exited the room.  “Baby, everything’s going to be okay, I’m here with you.”

“It’s not going to be okay.  Daddy Mark’s mad, you’re mad.  I shouldn’t have snuck out of the house,” Kasai said as he shook his head, sniffling as he rubbed at his eyes.

“Don’t you worry about that baby, just think about something else,” JT said as Dr. Tripp came back into the room with a sad look on his face.

“I gave Larry the report, he read it for himself and now the police have taken Jared into custody.  Jared told the officer who the other guys were that helped him.  They’ll pick them up too and they’ll be arrested,” Dr. Tripp stated as JT looked up at him.

“Good,” JT responded as he hugged onto Kasai.  “Where’s Mark?”

“He—he left.  He said he needed to go home,” Dr. Tripp replied with a frown.

“Oh God and you just let him go in his current state of mind?  Andy, can you stay here with him?  I need to go get Mark,” JT stated as he sat back down in his wheelchair and then left the room.

Down the Hall – The Emergency Room Waiting Area

Angela’s POV

It’s the start of the new year and it feels like it’s just an ordinary day.  For the start of the new year, too much crap has already happened.  Lord, please don’t let the rest of the year go like this day.  Sighing, I look around the area and see the woman that came in an hour ago with her husband.

I feel so sorry for the woman.  She’s been sitting here, all alone, probably wondering what’s happening with her husband.  Sighing, I shook my head and then looked around again.  Am I being watched or what?  Looking back over at the woman, I thought about how things would be if I was married right now.  If I was married and my husband was brought here, I would like to be back there, where he was, while the doctors worked on him.  I can sympathize with the way she feels right now, but I also know what’s going on behind those doors.  She’ll just have to wait until the doctors are done working with her husband and then she’ll possibly be able to see him.

Another hour has passed and I’m sitting here, placing paperwork back into the folders where I got it from.  It seems every time I try to organize these files, something happens to stop the progress on the organizing.  Stopping, I felt eyes on me as I looked around to see that damn ho Vagina, oops, I mean Valgina, standing in the doorway, watching me.  What the hell does the bitch want?  I just know she’s going to cause problems for us while she’s here.  I just wish JT could go ahead and fire her and the hospital finds someone else to take her place.  It’s not like she’s been here long to have tenure or anything, he’s her boss now, he should be able to get rid of her skanky ass.

Why in the hell is she watching me like that?  What in the hell does she want?  Better question, why in the hell did she come here?

“Hello Valgina, is there something I can help you with?”  I asked as she walked over to where I sat.

“Oh no Angela, I was just getting acquainted with where everything was.  There’s no need to worry your silly little head about me,” she replied with a smirk as she looked like the cat that stole the canary.

“Look ho, don’t come down here, starting any shit with me.  You haven’t started working here yet, so I suggest you step the fuck off and leave me the hell alone Vagina, oops, I meant Valgina,” I said, getting up from my chair.  “If you know what’s good for you, you’d take a hint and leave from ‘round here.”

“You fucking slut!  How dare you call me that!”  Valgina snapped, rushing over to where I was and smacking me in the face as I dropped the folders I just sorted.

“Oh hell naw!”  I yelled, lunging towards her as I pushed her up against the wall, punching and kicking at her.

“Get the fuck off of me you lesbian bitch!”  She screamed as I continued punching and kicking her as she tried to get away from me, but fell into the file storage room instead.

“You started this shit bitch!”  I snapped as I kept kicking her as she laid on the floor in the fetal position.

“Someone help me!  Help me please!”  She screamed, moving around, trying to block the kicks.

“Sorry ho, no one can help you now.  You should’ve thought about that shit when you walked into the work area, bothering someone, that wasn’t bothering you!”  I snapped, picking up a file box and slamming it down on top of her, knocking her ass out.  “I bet she’ll think twice before bothering me again.  What a way to start a new year.”

The Poole-Walden Estates – JT and Mark’s Bedroom

JT’s POV

“Are you okay baby?”  I asked, walking into the bedroom to see Mark lying face down on the bed.

“Go away,” he replied, sniffling.  “Just go away, go back to the hospital or something.  I don’t care where you go, just leave me alone.”

“Talk to me baby.  What’s going on?”  I asked, sitting down next to him as I kissed the back of his head.

“Do you really want to know baby?”  He asked, turning to face me as he sat up on the bed as I slid a bit to hold him in my arms.

“Yes, I want to know Mark,” I replied, rubbing his back.  “Just tell me what’s going through your mind.”

“I’m mad baby.  I’m mad as hell right now!”  He exclaimed, scaring me a bit.  “If I hadn’t grounded him, he never would’ve snuck out of the house.  If it wasn’t for me, he never would’ve been raped.”

“That’s not true Mark,” I told him as he shook his head as he cried on my chest.  “You’re not responsible for what Jared and those punks did to him.  You didn’t tell any of them to do what they did to him.”

“No, I didn’t tell them, but Kai never would’ve left the house to be put in that situation, if I wasn’t so hard on him,” he said as he cried harder.  “It’s all my fucking fault!”

He continued crying for a few minutes and then he shot up, getting out of the bed as he rushed out of the room.  In his current state of mind, I don’t know what to think about what he might do.  I got up, grabbed my crutches and moved towards the door, trying to find out where he was headed.

“Mark please!  Baby stop!  Don’t leave this house!”  I called out as I heard the front door open and then slam shut.

As I got to the bottom of the stairs, I heard him cursing, a car starts and then a few seconds later, tires were screeching out of the driveway.  Hell, he’s gone now and I’m here all alone.  Sitting down on the stairs, I felt the tears sliding down my face.  What am I going to do now?  I have a child that’s been raped, Valgina fucking Williams has returned to my life, to haunt and cause problems for me and my friends and now my husband is stricken with guilt that isn’t his own.  What can I do to fix all of this?

Florida Hospital – The Emergency Room

“I don’t believe it girl, you knocked her ass out?”  Tamara, one of the ER nurses asked, looking at Angela with a shocked expression on her face and then shook her head.

“Girl, I had to beat that ho down,” Angel replied, punching her fist into her hand.  “You don’t believe me, that ho still in the file room, on the floor, sleeping that ass whooping off.”

“I know you’re not just going to leave her in there, are you?”  Tamara asked as Angela grabbed her car keys off the desk.

“I don’t see why not.  I’m going to leave her ass back there,” Angela stated as she grabbed her purse and then pulled her jacket on.

“What if someone finds her ass in there?”  Tamara asked.

“They just find her ass in there,” Angela replied, shrugging her shoulders with a smile on her face.  “The bitch got what she deserved.  That’s been a long time coming.  I’ve been waiting a few years to do that to her ass.”

“But you might get into trouble over this Angie,” Tamara said as she shook her head.

“I might, but right now, I really don’t care,” Angela said as Kevin walked up to the nurses’ station.

“Hello beautiful,” Kevin said, kissing Angela on her cheek, surprising her.

“Hello Kevin, what’re you doing here?”  Angela asked.

“I thought I would surprise you so we could catch an early supper,” Kevin replied, leaning against the counter.

“I—I need to go home and change then,” Angela stated as she looked down.  “It would’ve been nice if I’d known you were coming here to pick me up.”

“Are you okay Angela?  Is there something wrong?”  Kevin asked, looking at Angela strangely.  “I thought we hashed all of this last night on our date.  Are you having second thoughts again?”

“I’m fine Kevin, I just have a lot of things on my mind,” Angela replied, walking around the counter.  “I’m not going out with you, looking like this.  I’m going home to shower.”

“That’s fine then.  Would you like me to follow you to your place?”  Kevin asked, looking Angela in the face.

“Why don’t we just take my car, it would save a whole lot of trouble,” Angela replied as she and Kevin walked through the lobby together as she waved at Tamara.

The Solarium

Nick’s POV

For the last two hours, we’ve been sitting here, enjoying each other’s company.  It’s just been the two of us, a nice steady and calm conversation, just us talking about ourselves, our dreams, our desires.  There’s been no hatred, no sadness, no negative stuff, just nothing but happiness and love.  I swear, he’s the guy I want to be with, for the rest of my life.

“I don’t want any of this to end Justin,” I softly spoke, kissing his lips.

“I don’t want it to end either baby,” he replied, pulling me back down as we shared another kiss.

I sat there in his lap, kissing the man I had fallen head over heels in love with.  I don’t care what my mother says, I love him and I always will.  There’s nothing she or anyone else can say to change this feeling I have in my heart or my soul.  I love him with all of me.

“I—I wish we could make love,” I said, kissing his lips again.  “I want us to be one; I crave for us to be intimate together.”

“Baby, I…” he said and then went quiet on me.

“Is there something wrong baby?”  I asked, lifting his chin with my fingers as I saw the tears spilling down his face.  “Justin?”

“No baby, there’s nothing wrong,” he replied, looking away from me.

“Don’t lie to me baby.  I know there’s something wrong, you’re crying,” I told him, caressing his cheek.

“I’m sorry baby, I just…” he said, looking down again.

“You just what baby?”  I asked, getting up out of his lap as I knelt down in front of him.

“I—I love you Nicky, but I—I don’t think what you want is possible,” he replied, moving away from me.

“What’re you doing Justin?  Where are you going?”  I asked, getting up and walking behind him.

“Your mother was right Nicky.  You don’t need to be with a cripple like me,” he said, opening the door and then rolling out of the room.

“Justin, stop!”  I screamed for him to stop, but he kept on going.  “Please Justin, please don’t leave me here.  Come back!”

An Hour Later – The El Valentera Restaurant

“Are you enjoying your meal Angela?”  Kevin asked, looking across the table at Angela.  “You’ve hardly touched your meal.”

“I’m sorry Kevin, I’m just not hungry right now,” Angela replied, pushing her dish out of the way.  “I guess I have some things on my mind.”

“Are you okay Angela?  You look like your best friend died, came back to life and then died again.  Do you care to talk about what’s on your mind?  You know I can return the favor,” Kevin stated as Valgina Williams walked up to their table.

“Well well wll, look what we have here.  If it isn’t the bitch formerly known as Angela Sebastian,” Valgina said, putting her hands on her hips.  “Excuse me man, what are you doing with a loser like her?”

“Excuse me?  Who in the hell are you calling a loser bitch?”  Angela asked, standing up from the table as she pointed her finger in Valgina’s face.

“I’m calling you a loser, you bitch!”  Valgina screamed, drawing attention to herself and Angela.

“Oh yeah ho, you’re just cruising for another beat down!”  Angela snapped, pushing Valgina backwards.

“Angela honey, please stop this,” Kevin said as he stepped in between Angela and Valgina and then stopped when he turned and looked at Valgina and then laughed. “Oh, you were joking right?  Her name really isn’t Vagina, is it?”

“That’s Valgina.  Mister, you must be out of your damn mind, being with a tramp like her.  If you want a real woman, get with me and I’ll show you a real good time,” Valgina stated as she pushed Angela, moving away from the table.

“I so don’t think so lady, I prefer Angela,” Kevin replied as he turned his back to Valgina as he grabbed Angela’s hand and then kissed the top of it.  “Angela, why don’t we go someplace else, it seems the atmosphere and scenery is terrible now.”

“Okay by me Kevin, I have a nicer place in mind, where we can go to get away from this madness,” Angela stated as the two of them made their way to the checkout, paid and then left the restaurant as Valgina tripped over her own feet, falling into the salad bar as she tried to watch Kevin and Angela walk out.

“Damn it!”  Valgina screeched as she jumped up, brushing lettuce from her blouse and cheese sauce from her face as she followed Angela and Kevin with her eyes as they walked down the street as she got outside.  “You might have gotten the upper hand on me earlier tonight at the hospital, but I’m going to whoop your ass bitch!”

“Bring that shit on bitch!”  Angela exclaimed as some people on the street watched.

“I’m not in a small area now.  I’m going to ram my foot up your ass, right after I ram this down your fucking throat!”  Valgina screamed, swinging her purse at Angela.

“Bring it baby, bring that shit!”  Angela hollered, grabbing Valgina’s arm in mid-jump as she kneed her in the stomach, punched her in the face and then elbowed her in the back, sending her down to the ground hard.

“Stop this Angela, you’re going to get into trouble for this,” Kevin stated, grabbing Angela’s hand as he dragged her down the street, heading towards her car.

The Poole-Walden Estates

JT’s POV

The time has surely flown by and I’m still sitting here at the bottom of the stairs.  The doorbell sounding, I sighed as I got up from the spot I had brooding in and walked over to the door, almost falling down, being that I didn’t pick up my crutches.  Opening the door, I saw someone I didn’t expect to see, standing there, looking back at me.

“Dean, what’re you doing here?”  I asked, moving back so the man could come in.

“Hi JT, how are you doing?”  He asked, leaning in close to hug me and then he kissed my cheek.

“I’m not so good at the moment,” I replied, walking into the family room.  “Why are you here Dean?”

“What?  I can’t come visit you when I want to?”  He asked, sitting down on the sofa.  “Where are Kai and that man you call your husband?”

“Kai’s in the hospital and I don’t know where Mark is,” I replied as Dean slid over to me, wrapping me in his arms, holding me tight.

“What happened to Kai?  Why is he in the hospital?”  He asked, looking me in the face.

“Some punks from his school beat him up and then raped him,” I replied, explaining to him about everything that had happened the previous day.

“Oh my God JT, why—why didn’t you call me and tell me what was going on?”  He asked, rubbing my back.

“Why would I call you Dean?” I asked as he looked at me with a hurt expression on his face.

“We may not be together anymore, but I still consider you and Kai a part of my family,” he replied just as his cell phone rang.  “Hold on, hello?  No, hell no, do whatever you fucking want to, I told you I was gone, so I’m gone damn it!”

“What was that all about?”  I asked, watching him.

“My agent,” he replied, getting up.

“Don’t tell me you fired another one, how many is that now?”  I asked.

“He makes number ten,” he replied, walking over to the television.  “I just can’t find a good modelling agent that I can trust JT.”

“I see,” I said as he sat back down across from me.

“So, have you eaten yet?”  He asked, grabbing my hand, holding it in his own.

“No, I can’t eat right now.  I’m too upset to eat anything.  I need Mark,” I replied, pulling my hand away from him.

“Why are you acting this way JT?”  He asked, grabbing my hand and pulling me up as he tried to hug me.

“Are you kidding me, it’s been a long time Dean.  What do you expect here, I moved on,” I told him.

“I—I know you did, but I—I didn’t,” he replied as the front door opened as Mark walked in.

“What the hell is this?  What’s going on here?”  Mark asked, walking into the family room to see us standing there.  “I walk out of the damn house to get some air for a bit and come back and you’ve got your ex in the house, doing only God knows what!”

“It’s not what you think,” I said, walking over to him as he shook his head and then walked away.  “Mark, Mark come back here!”

“Stay in there with lover boy, I don’t’ want to fucking see you.  How could you do this to me?”  Mark asked, stomping up the stairs.

“I—I didn’t do anything,” I said from the bottom of the stairs.  “Fine, believe what you fucking want to damn it!”

“I will!”  He screamed, slamming a door.

If I Ain’t Got You – Chapter 16

Chapter 16 — The New Year Ringeth In

Jan 1, 2003 – Orlando, FL – Florida Hospital – The Emergency Room’s Rape Trauma Unit – Kasai’s Room

“Daddy, is that you?”  Kasai weakly asked, opening his eyes and looking around the room.

“Yes Kai, I’m here baby,” JT replied, standing up on wobbly legs.

“I—I’m so sorry Daddy, I’m really sorry,” Kasai spoke as the tears streamed down his face.  “I—I should’ve never snuck out of the house.  If I would’ve done what Daddy Mark told me to do, I would be okay right now.”

“Shhh baby, don’t talk about that.  Everything’s going to be all right.  You’re with us now,” JT said as he held Kasai gently in his arms as he cried.

“But Daddy…” Kasai said, sniffling as JT rubbed his back and stopped him from talking.

“Shhh son, it’s all okay now.  Don’t worry about that right now,” JT said as Mark wrapped his arms around him and Kasai.

“I—I love you both,” Kasai said, sniffling again.

“We love you too,” Mark spoke as he kissed the top of Kasai’s head.  “Happy new year son.”

Later on – Nick’s Hospital Room

“Come on Nick, we have to leave, now,” Janet stated, moving around the room as she gathered Nick’s things, trying to pick them into a bag.

“Where are we going?”  Nick asked.

“We’re going back to Tampa,” Janet answered as Nick stood in place, looking at her.

“Why are we going back to Tampa?”  Nick asked, rubbing at his head.  “We can’t leave, I have to stay here at the hospital.”

“I’m having you transferred into the care of a doctor closer to home,” Janet stated as Aaron jumped up from where he sat.

“What are you trying to pull here Mom?”  Aaron asked, glaring at Janet.

“I’m not trying to pull anything,” Janet replied, looking at Aaron strangely.

“Yes you are damn it!”  Aaron snapped, looking over at Nick.  “You don’t have to leave here Bro.”

“I don’t want to leave, but…” Nick spoke as Aaron shook his head.

“I—I thought you were in love with Justin,” Aaron said with a sad look on his face.

“I am in love with him,” Nick replied, looking at Aaron with tears in his eyes.

“If you love him, stay here with him, don’t leave,” Aaron said, glaring at Janet once more.

“Shut up Aaron, he has no choice in the matter,” Janet stated, pointing her finger at Aaron.  “You stay out of this, none of this concerns you!”

“It does concern me.  You’re interfering in Nick’s life, taking him away from something that he needs, because you can’t seem to see past your own stuck up vision!”  Aaron snapped, shaking his head.  “So, what if Justin’s in a wheelchair, that doesn’t fucking mean he can’t make Nick happy.  You don’t see how Nick changes when he’s with Justin.  When he’s away from Justin, he goes back into his own world.  When they’re together, Nick livens up and he’s part of our world.”

“I don’t care.  I don’t want that cripple anywhere near my boy,” Janet said as she shook her head.  “And to keep that from happening, we’re going back home.”

“We’re not going anywhere Mom.  You can leave if you want, but we’re staying right here,” Aaron stated, looking at Janet as he crossed his arms across his chest, standing proud.

“I’m your mother; who in the hell do you think you’re talking to?  You don’t talk to me that way!”  Janet screamed, pointing her finger in Aaron’s face.  “What in the hell has gotten into you?”

“Yeah, you’re my mother, big whoop.  You’re the woman that claims to love us so much.  You’re the woman that stole money from us and then tried to have our dad killed so you could get the damn insurance money.  So yeah, some mother you are,” Aaron stated, shaking his head as Janet’s eyes widened.

“That’s not true, that’s all a lie!”  Janet screamed.

“What’s he talking about Mom?”  Nick asked, walking over to where Janet stood.  “You said that Dad was trying to kill you, the reason you two…”

“She’s lying bro,” Aaron said as he shook his head.  “To start, Mom here has been stealing from the both of us, since our careers started.  I had my lawyers and their accounts go over my account spending with a fine-tooth comb and they found out that Mom here has been skimming money off the top of things.”

“What!”  Nick snapped, turning to look at Janet again.

“After further digging, I found out that she had both of us fraudulently sign power of attorney statements to have her in control of our finances and our lives,” Aaron stated as Nick frowned and then shook his head.

“What is he talking about Mom?”  Nick asked, looking between Janet and Aaron.  “Is any of what he said true?”

“No, it’s not true at all.  Aaron’s lying, he made all up that up,” Janet stated, shaking her head with a worried expression on her face.

“Come on Mom, I’m lying?  Really Mom, really?”  Aaron said as he walked over to his jacket and then pulled some papers from an inside pocket and then walked back over to Nick, handing the papers to him.  “Check this out.”

“What is this?”  Nick asked, looking at Aaron strangely.

“Just read those,” Aaron replied with a smile as Nick looked at the papers.

“Mom, this says that you were granted power of attorney of me and my finances over three years ago,” Nick stated, reading over the papers.  “What have you taken from me?”

“I—I haven’t taken anything from you,” Janet replied, shaking her head as she stepped backwards.

“That’s a lie and you know it,” Aaron replied, handing Nick more documents to read.  “These are your bank statements, showing all of your deposits and withdrawals.  This here is a statement of your earnings.  The figures on both documents don’t match.  They don’t match at all.”

“Wait a minute!  Both of you just stop!  I need to sit down on this,” Nick said, walking over to the chair that was next to the bed and sitting down as Aaron followed him while Janet just stood away from the both of them.

“Bro, she’s been stealing from both of us for years.  I had our lawyers go over everything and they’ve reversed the POAs that she had us falsely sign.  You’re in control of your own life Bro.  She can’t force you to go anywhere Nick.  Stay here and be with Justin if you want to be with him.  If you want, I’ll stay here with you,” Aaron stated, hugging Nick around the neck.  “You’re my brother and I want you to be happy.”

“I’m not going to stand here and listen to any of this,” Janet said, shaking her head.

“You don’t have to listen Mom.  It would be better if you just left.  You’ll be in court real soon any way.  I hope you haven’t spent the money you stole from us.  You’ll be giving it all back,” Aaron stated, crossing his arms across his chest, glaring at Janet.

“Do you honestly want to stay here Nick?  Do you really want to be with that damn crippled man?  Hell, he’s not even a real man, he can’t walk.  I’m trying to spare you from ending up, being hurt by this so-called relationship,” Janet said as she shook her head and then threw her hands up.  “You stand to gain nothing from being with him.   Ha, he can’t even stand at all.”

“I love him Mom.  I’m going to stay here.  I don’t care if he’s in a wheelchair or not.  Our love is more than something physical, it goes way deeper than that,” Nick spoke as the tears welled up in his eyes.  “I’ve gained his love and that’s enough for me.”

“I don’t understand you Nick.  I’ve tried… I’ve tried everything in my power to change your mind of this lifestyle.  I just wish you would stop all of this madness.  There’s a woman in this world, somewhere just for you,” Janet stated as she turned up her nose and then shook her head again.

“I’m gay, get over it already.  I’ll always be gay.  There’s nothing in this world, that’s going to change my way of living and I’m not giving up on Justin,” Nick stated, pointing his finger at Janet.

“But you being this way is a sin Nick,” Janet said, glaring at Nick as he waved his hand dismissively at her.  “You’re a sinner against God.”

“If he’s a sinner, then so am I,” Aaron declared, stepping in front of Janet as Nick and Janet both looked at him.

“What!”  Janet snapped, backing away from Aaron.

“That’s right Mom, I’m gay too.  I’ve always been gay, but I never chose to tell you, mainly because I saw the way you acted towards Nick.  Now I just don’t give a flying rat’s ass about it anymore,” Aaron stated as he leaned in and kissed Nick on the cheek and then walked out of the room.

“Oh God, both of my boys are gay, just like their father!  Am I being punished for something Lord?  I—I don’t believe this!  Is everyone in the world gay?”  Janet asked, grabbing her purse from the bed as she rushed out of the room, leaving Nick alone to read the rest of the documents that Aaron had left with him.

The Emergency Room’s Rape Trauma Unit – Kasai’s Room

Mark’s POV

This is a terrible way to start off the damn new year.  Last night and today have been very trying for all of us.  First JT gets his bad news about his childhood enemy working here at the hospital, in his department and then I get into an argument with Kai and then he ends up here because he got attacked.

I guess—I guess this is God’s way of testing us, to see how much we can handle.  This is all just a bit much I say, but I’m not the one in control of things.  JT’s a strong man, but he isn’t that strong.  My baby has gone through too much over the last couple of years.  I see this as the straw that broke the camel’s back.  Please God, please get us through this.  Don’t let this be how the rest of the year is going to go or we probably won’t make it.

“Daddy, Daddy help me, please help me,” Kasai spoke in his sleep.  “They’re hurting me, they’re hurting me, make them stop.  Please make them stop.  I’ll be a good boy, I promise, just make them stop.”

“Oh God, he must be having a nightmare about what happened to him,” I said, wrapping my arms around him, trying to comfort him.  “Oh God, please take this pain away from him.”

“Ah, hi there,” Aaron said as he walked into the room.  “I’m sorry for intruding, but Nurse Sebastian said that I could find Mr. Poole in here.”

“He—he went back up to his office, it’s up on the second floor,” I spoke, recognizing the guy as Nick Canton’s little brother.

“Ah, is everything okay?”  Aaron asked, looking at us closely.  “What happened, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“I do mind.  Could you please leave… my son and I would like to be left alone,” I told him as I continued hugging Kai as he opened his eyes again and then held onto me tightly as he cried.

“I—I’m sorry.  Thank you for telling me where to find Mr. Poole,” Aaron replied, turning around and walking out of the room.

“It’s going to be alright Kai, I promise you that.  It’s all going to be alright,” I told him as I rubbed his back.

“I’m so sorry Daddy Mark, I should’ve listened to you,” he said, sniffling as he coughed.

“Shhhh now, don’t worry about that.  Just get your mind off of that,” I said, rocking him back and forth in my arms.

“They hurt me Daddy Mark, they just hurt me… They—they wouldn’t stop,” he said, sounding like a person that’s lost everything.

“I know Kai, I know,” I replied, crying with him.  “The pain will go away; you just have to give it time.”

“I—I want it to stop—stop now!  I can’t take it Daddy Mark,” he said, crying harder as I did all I could to try and calm him down.

The Second Floor – JT’s Office

“Sir, you need to calm down and try to work with us here,” a police officer spoke as JT looked at the man and then shook his head.

“When they brought him into the ER, they did a rape kit on him!”  JT snapped, pointing his finger at the officer.

“Well there seems to be a problem, no one can seem to find the specimens that were collected,” the police officer stated as he stepped backwards from JT’s desk.

“What!  What in the hell do you mean there seems to be a problem?  Why can’t they find the damn specimens?  I saw the doctor on call, catalog them!”  JT snapped, pointing his finger at the police officer again.  “You need to go back down to the ER and speak with Andrew, Andrew Tripp!”

“Look Mr. Poole, you need to calm down and listen to what I’m trying to tell you here,” the police officer stated with a frown.

“I don’t need to calm down!  You need to get down to the ER and do your fucking job!”  JT screamed as he shook his head.

“Mr. Poole, if you would just…” the police officer started again as JT interrupted him.

“I SAID NOW!  GET THE HELL OUT OF MY FUCKING OFFICE, I MEAN IT DAMN IT!”  JT screamed as the police officer sighed, turned around and then walked to the door, opening as he bumped into Aaron.

“Ah, sorry kid.  I don’t think you want to go in there right now,” the police officer said as he put his hat on and then walked away from the door.

“Excuse me; I’m here to see you Mr. Poole.  Are—are you available to talk?”  Aaron asked, standing in front of JT’s desk as JT sat there with his eyes covered.

“How may I help you?”  JT asked, looking up at Aaron as he took a sip of his coffee.

“I’m Aaron, Aaron Canton, Nick’s my brother,” Aaron stated.

“Yes, I know, it’s nice to officially meet you.  Now, what can I do for you?”  JT asked.

“I would like to know what could be done about Nick’s status.  Basically, I want to know if my mother can force him to leave here, to go to another doctor, that’s if he doesn’t want to go,” Aaron said as JT looked at him strangely.

“She can’t force him to leave, if he doesn’t want to go,” JT replied. “If he says ‘no’, then she has no control over him, unless she has power of attorney over him or she has some form of guardianship over him.”

“She had power of attorney over him and me, but I had our lawyers overturn that,” Aaron said with a frown.  “What I’m trying to get at here is that, if his doctor was to say that he’s ‘crazy’, could she use that against him and force him to leave and go wherever she wants to take him?”

“She possibly could, but I doubt anyone here at this hospital would diagnose Nick as being ‘crazy’,” JT stated as he quoted with his fingers.

“What if she brings in an outside doctor to see him?”  Aaron asked as JT put his coffee mug down.

“She could do that, but if Nick isn’t exhibiting any negative behaviors to make anyone think that he’s ‘crazy’ or mentally unstable, then there’s nothing your mother can really do to him,” JT stated as he took another sip of his coffee.  “Does this have anything to do with Justin?”

“I think so.  She—she doesn’t want them together and she really doesn’t like the gay thing,” Aaron stated with a frown.

“Not to go into great detail or anything, but Nick is sane as anyone else around in this place.  He’s not crazy, he just had a little bit of bad luck in his life is all,” JT stated as Mark burst into the room.

“You’re the guy I just saw downstairs,” Aaron said, looking at Mark strangely.

“Sorry for the way I behaved down there,” Mark stated, frowning.  “I was just having a bad moment.”

“It’s okay,” Aaron said with a small smile.  “Mr. Poole, maybe we should reschedule this for a later time.”

“Yes, yes please.  Just leave me your number and a time for when it’s convenient to talk and I’ll give you a call,” JT said as Aaron shook his hand and then handed him a card as he waved and then left the room.

“Mark, why are you up here?”  JT asked, looking at Mark strangely.

“They have suspects baby.  One of the guys that hurt our boy has done it to someone else before,” Mark stated as JT got up from his desk.

“How do you know this?”  JT asked, looking at Mark like he was crazy.

“The cops are down in the lab with Andy.  They had him and another technician do the analysis.  The DNA analysis is complete and they’ve gotten a match to two of the people that was involved in hurting him,” Mark explained as he held JT in his arms.  “They’re going to get the guys and see if Kai can identify them.”

“I—I don’t think he’s ready for that.  Do you think he’s ready?”  JT asked, looking down, his hands trembling.

“No, but he needs to do it, so those guys can be punished for what they did to him,” Mark stated as JT’s pager beeped repeatedly.

“That’s Andy, let me call him and see what’s up,” JT said as he picked up the phone and called down to the ER.

“Yo’ JT, I think you and Mark better get down here and quick,” Dr. Tripp’s voice filled the room.

“What’s going on Andy?”  JT asked.

“I tried to get them to wait until you or Mark was here with him, but they took the guy that attacked Kasai into his room anyway.  He woke up and saw the man and now he’s freaking out really bad,” Dr. Tripp explained as JT shook his head.

“What in God’s name are those fools thinking?”  JT asked as he looked at Mark.  “Baby, get down there now!  I’ll be down there in a minute; just get down there now.  Get to my baby, he’s going crazy…”

Justin’s Hospital Room

“What’re you doing kid?”  Christina asked, walking into the room.

“Nothing,” Justin replied, looking around.  “I’m just sitting here, doing nothing, as always it seems.”

“You sound so down sweetie.  Are you still upset about this morning?”  Christina asked, walking over to Justin.  “Wait, don’t answer that.”

“Well…” Justin said, looking up at her.

“Don’t start downing yourself again.  I’m stopping you from doing that right now.  I want to hear something positive,” Christina stated as there was a knock at the door.

“Come on in,” Justin called out as Nick walked into the room.

“Hello Justin,” Nick softly spoke as he stepped a bit into the room.  “Hi there Christina.”

“Hi Nick,” Christina spoke, waving at Nick as she walked over and hugged him.

“Are—are you busy right now Justin?”  Nick asked.

“No baby, I’m never too busy for you,” Justin replied, reaching out his hand to Nick.  “Come over here.”

“Awwww, that’s so sweet and romantic.  Should I leave you two alone?”  Christina asked as Nick sat down in Justin’s lap.

“You don’t have to leave because of me being here Christina.  I just wanted to come be with Justin.  You—you don’t have to go,” Nick replied, looking over at her.

“Cool,” Christina said just as there was another knock at the door.

“Come in,” Justin called out again as Joshua walked into the room.

“Hello Jus…” Joshua trailed off, locking eyes with Christina as his expression changed. “Chrissy wait, please… I just wanted to see how he was doing.  Don’t do anything, please.”

“What in the hell do you want Josh?  Why in the hell are you really here?”  Christina asked, glaring at Joshua.  “I thought I made myself clear a while back.  I thought I made it clear that you should never show your face here again.  It seems you don’t handle directions very well.  I guess I have to beat your ass again.”

“Look Chrissy, I’m not here for any trouble. I only came to see how he was doing,” Joshua replied, holding both of his hands up.

“As you can see, he’s doing fine, now leave!”  Christina screamed just as Jamie and Marshall walked into the room behind Joshua.

“What’s going on… What in the hell are you doing in here Josh?”  Jamie asked as Marshall grabbed him quickly, to keep him away from Joshua.

“Damn, I only came to see him.  I guess I better go since you have so many bodyguards around here,” Joshua sarcastically said as he walked out of the room, passing all of them as Jamie punched him in the back of the head and then closed the door.

“Good fucking riddance,” Jamie said, shaking his head.  “Are you okay Justin?”

“I’m fine, thanks you guys.  I’m glad you guys were here.  I really didn’t want to deal with him,” Justin stated as he sighed.

“Well you don’t have to deal with him.  Hopefully this time he got the message, loud and clear.  If it didn’t sink in, I can always beat his ass again,” Christina said with a smirk.

“Don’t do that, you’ve already beaten him once,” Justin said as he looked over at her.

“Whoa, you were the one that did that to him?  I better not get on your bad side,” Marshall said, stepping behind Jamie.

“I wouldn’t do that to you.  Besides, I’m quite sure you would give me a run for my money,” Christina said, patting Marshall on the back.  “But you know me, I’m better than Big Daddy.”

“Yeah, I still remember the song,” Marshall replied with a frown.

“Your ex inspired me to sing it,” Christina said as she sat down next to Justin and Nick.  “So, what do you two have planned, if anything?  Anything set up for the new year?”

“We’re going down to the solarium, we’ll chill out there for a bit and watch the festivities,” Nick said with a smile on his face as he caressed Justin’s.

“That really sounds nice and romantic,” Christina said, tilting her head to the side and smiling at Nick and Justin.

“It sure does.  Why don’t we do stuff like that anymore?”  Jamie asked, wrapping his arms around Marshall.

“Probably because we never have time for stuff like that, we’re both so busy,” Marshall stated as he looked down with a frown on his face.

“We have the time now baby.  We aren’t doing anything,” Jamie said, looking Marshall in the face with a pout.  “Let’s go do something nice and romantic.”

“Okay, come on then,” Marshall spoke, grabbing Jamie’s hand as the two of them waved and headed towards the door.  “Me and my love bunny here will be back in a few hours.  You guys have fun.”

“Oh wow, now it’s only me, all by myself,” Christina stated as she crossed her arms.  “What a way to start this new year off.”

“You can hang with us Chrissy, that’s if you like,” Justin told her.

“No, you two go on, I’m going to find me something to get into.  I’ll be back later on,” Christina said as she leaned in and kissed both guys on the cheek.  “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“Great, that means we can do anything,” Justin said, laughing at the look on Christina’s face as she blushed and then shot him the bird.

“I’m gonna get you for that one mister,” Christina said as she laughed and then walked out of the room.
