Limbo Uprising – Chapter 1

Chapter 1 — Home Coming

Mar 16, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – The X-Ternals’ Compound – The Infirmary

“Oh God, I didn’t think I could do it,” JT spoke, floating down to the floor as his costume changed to his regular clothes and his scepter disappeared as Tara rushed over to where he stood.

“Are you okay JT?”  Tara asked, checking his body over.  “That took a lot of power and you look like…”

“I look like hell warmed over,” JT stated with a frown on his face.  “Is that what you were going to say Tara?”

“No, I was going to say that you look like you need some sleep,” Tara replied with a frown.

“Yeah, I’m tired, but I don’t know where I’m going to get sleep.  How am I supposed to sleep right now?”  JT asked, looking around.  “It’s going to take some time to come to terms with all that’s happened here.”

“Like your uncle said, none of this was your fault JT.  You shouldn’t be dwelling on this,” A’Mora stated with a frown.

“But you know he’s going to dwell on it anyway,” Hank stated, looking over at JT.

“I have no choice but to dwell on it,” JT stated, looking down.  “This mess is my fault and there’s nothing I can do to change any of it now.  All that’s happened is stuck in the timeline and there’s nothing anyone can do to change it, to the way it should be.”

“Change it to the way it should be… What are you talking about J?”  Tara asked, looking at JT strangely.

“I’m talking about Donna being here.  She’s supposed to be here, with the rest of us, not dead.  She was supposed to be here to live her life, to have a family, to have a successful career.  She was supposed to…”

“From what has been said already, all we can really do is move on with our lives JT.  There’s nothing we can really do about Donna’s actions,” Tara stated as she looked down.

“Those were not Donna’s actions, it was the demonphage’s actions!”  JT snapped as the area around them shook.  “If it hadn’t removed the power blockers from her mind, that restricted her powers, she would still be here now!”

“Calm down J,” Drew stated as he walked up to JT and rubbed his back.

“I’m not going to calm down!”  JT snapped, jerking away from Drew’s touch.  “One of my friends, your friend too, killed themselves because of something I could’ve stopped!”

“How could you have stopped the demonphage JT?”  Drew asked, looking at JT strangely.  “You’re powerful, but you’re not that powerful JT.  You’re not God.”

“I never said I was God,” JT stated, turning away from Drew.

“No, you didn’t say it, but sometimes you act as if you are,” Drew stated as he folded his arms across his chest.  “You can’t control everything that goes on in the world JT.”

“I do no such thing,” JT stated as he turned back towards Drew, glaring at him.

“Come off it JT, you’ve been acting that way since I’ve known you,” Hank stated as he stepped up behind Drew.  “You know you have power and you’ve always done everything you can to display that power to the rest of us and the people we’ve taken down.  So, don’t stand there and say you don’t act like you’re God!”

“I—I’m sorry, if that’s the impression I’ve given you guys, I’m really sorry,” JT stated as he shook his head and then sighed.  “That’s another reason why I should’ve been able to do what I had planned to do moments ago.”

“No, that’s just another sign of you trying to act like you’re God!”  Hank snapped, pointing his finger at JT.  “There are things in the world that shouldn’t be controlled.  There are things in this world that even you can’t change.  Donna’s actions, ending her life is one of those things!”

“I have the power to…” JT started as Hank rolled his eyes and then sighed.

“Yep, you have the power, but did you ever use it the way it was supposed to be used?  Even though you’re a psychic with the power to see into the future, that doesn’t mean you can see the outcome of everything that’s going to happen.  You can’t control the outcome of every living being on the planet JT.  We can make our own damn decisions!”  Hank snapped, throwing his hands up.  “Everything isn’t about you always coming to the damn rescue!”

“You have a point,” JT stated as he waved his hand in the air, creating a portal as he shook his head and then flew into it as Tara shook her head and then flew in behind him as it closed.

“Hank, I think you said too much,” A’Mora stated as she looked down.

“He needed to hear it though,” Hank replied, looking down as he shook his head.  “Besides, you all were thinking the same thing I was, go on and admit it.”

“He might have needed to hear that, but he didn’t need to hear it the way it was delivered,” Drew stated, looking down.  “I guess we have to wait until he calms down for him to come back.”

“I guess so,” A’Mora replied, looking around.  “Who wants to start the clean-up process?”

“You all can be my guest,” Hank replied, making a move towards the door as Drew grabbed him by the arm, stopping him.  “Damn it, I was so close.”

“If we have to clean up this place, so do you,” Drew stated as he sighed and then walked out of the room.

Between Here and There – The Limbo Dimension – Castle Limbo

“I thought after he took back his power and the world continued, things would be different, but as you can see, things are not,” Necroloque spoke as he walked past a mirror with Mother Divine’s reflection in it.  “Things in the real world will never be alright for my boy.  Do you see what your actions have done?”

“No Sidney, nothing I did was responsible for any of that,” Mother Divine spoke as Necroloque looked at the scrying glass and then snapped his fingers as the images changed.

“You have a point there.  I can’t blame everything Chaos did on your actions, but I can contribute most of what it did to your meddling in Timmy’s life,” Necroloque stated as he shook his head.  “So, what do I do with you now?  I can’t hold you in that mirror for…”

“No, you can’t hold me in this mirror forever, trapped like this brother,” Mother Divine stated as her eyes glowed an eerie purple color.  “You will pay dearly for entrapping me this way.”

“Remember sister, I reign supreme here, not you,” Necroloque spoke as his eyes crackled with energy.  “You are just a visitor to this realm, keep that in mind.”

“I may be a visitor here, but my powers will set me free and when they do,” Mother Divine spoke as the castle walls shook.  “What’s happening?”

“I don’t know, but that shouldn’t be your main concern right now,” Necroloque spoke as there was a flash of light in the area as things seemed to fade in and out around them as new walls appeared around himself and Mother Divine, blocking them from the rest of the castle.

(<PAMPH>)

“Where are we JT?”  Tara asked as she looked around the area as she covered her mouth.

“Limbo,” JT answered as he looked around and then sighed as he waved his hand as another portal appeared.  “You’re leaving here Tara.”

“Nope, I’m not leaving here JT.  You might as well hang that idea up,” Tara stated as she looked at him as if he were crazy.  “If you’re not with me when I go, I’m not going anywhere.  If I go damn it, you go!”

“I’m not going anywhere and you can’t stay here in this domain,” JT stated as he looked around again.

“What happened to this place JT?”  Tara asked as she looked around again.  “It looks like a battle took place here.”

“I—I don’t remember this happening while I was trying to leave here,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “I don’t think I did all of this.”

“I’m sure you didn’t,” JT heard as he turned around and then stopped in his tracks. “Hello Timmy.”

“Grandma!”  JT yelled, the walls of the castle shaking and vibrating as Tara looked around again and then backed away from where JT stood.  “How—how did you get here?  How did you get to Limbo?”

“This was once my domain, a lifetime ago,” the woman spoke, smiling at JT as she walked over to where he stood.  “And as you know, your bloodline can enter Limbo freely, without you being here.”

“I thought that only applied to the chosen ones, not my entire bloodline,” JT stated as the woman shook her head.

“No so,” the woman stated as she waved her hand as it glowed brightly as a portal appeared.  “Your magical bloodline is able to enter Limbo at will, not just your family bloodline.”

“I’m confused a bit,” JT spoke as the woman shook her head.

“There’s nothing to be confused about my child,” the woman spoke.  “As long as our bloodline is the highest on the Winding Way, our bloodline is the strongest and has access to this realm.”

“So, this place isn’t just mine as I’ve always thought,” JT stated as he looked at the woman strangely.

“Not so much as this place being yours, but you are the gatekeeper here,” the woman spoke as JT looked down.

“All that time, I thought this was my domain and mine only,” JT stated as he shook his head.

“It is your domain, as it is all in our bloodline,” the woman stated as she walked down the corridor as she motioned with her head for JT to follow her.

“But—but I thought this place was tied to me and was just mine,” JT stated as the woman shook her head again.

“My child, Limbo belongs to no one in particular,” the woman stated as her eyes glowed brightly as she doubled over as if she were in pain.

“Grandma!”  JT screamed as he moved past a mirror in the area, noticing his reflection and the reflection of the thing that was posing as his grandmother.  “What the hell is going on here?”

“Is there something wrong JT?”  Tara asked as she landed next to JT.

“That’s not my grandmother,” JT stated as he waved his hand, using his magical powers as magical energy chains shot through the air, grabbing the woman, holding her tight as her visage changed.  “Who in the hell are you?”

“Come now Prince, that’s no way to talk to your dear old grandmother,” the woman stated as she laughed.

“You’re not my grandmother!”  JT screamed, his eyes crackling with magical energy as Tara stepped behind him.  “Now, who in the hell are you?”

“You’re not going to get the answers you want that way Prince,” the woman stated as she struggled to get free of the magical chains that held her tightly.  “Release me and I’ll tell you what you want to know.”

“I’m not releasing you at all,” JT stated as Tara looked at him and then at the woman.

“JT, what’s going on here?”  Tara asked as she moved backwards, stepping in front of a mirror, noticing her own reflections as she jumped and then screamed.  “No!  That—that’s not what I look like, is it?  This—this must be some sort of damn trick!”

“Snap out of it Amazon!”  JT snapped as he grabbed her hand as she stopped screaming.  “That’s my scrying glass… It sometimes reflects a person’s inner demons to them.”

“So, you’re saying I think I look like a damn demon?  That’s not right JT; I don’t see myself as the thing I just saw in that damn mirror!”  Tara screamed a JT shook his head, sighing as he kept his attention on the woman he held in his magical chains.

“I didn’t say that at all Tara,” JT stated as the woman’s eyes started to glow as the chains vibrated, some of them dissipating.

“Then what in the hell are you saying damn it?”  Tara asked as she moved away from JT as she stood in front of the mirror again, seeing a different image as she jumped backwards and then looked behind her as if someone was there.  “This is some crazy shit here!”

“Tara, please calm down, I can’t concentrate on what I need to do here and worry about what’s going on with you,” JT stated as he floated off the floor as Tara’s eyes widened.

“Are—are those demon wings on your back?”  Tara asked as JT sighed.

“No, that’s just the appearance of my cloak,” JT stated as his eyes glowed an eerie red color.  “There’s some foolery afoot in my domain and I intend to find out why.”

“Come on JT, stop playing.  You—you have demon wings on your back!”  Tara screamed as she pointed at JT as he flew towards a balcony above her.

“No, I told you it’s just my cloak taking on the form of wings.  It’s just a means of easy transportation for when I’m here,” JT stated as he landed down on the floor as the so-called wings disappeared from his back.

Somewhere Else in Castle Limbo

“What’s happening around here?”  Mother Divine asked as she slammed her hands on the glass of the mirror, having no effect of releasing her from the mirror.

“You’re not going to get out of there, regardless of how much you try.  You’ll stay in that mirror until I release you from it,” Necroloque stated as his eyes glowed.

“What’s happening out there?  What’s going on?”  Mother Divine asked.

“I don’t know what’s happening right now, I can’t seem to put my finger on it,” Necroloque replied, looking at Mother Divine as he waved his hand, trying to create a portal, but nothing happened.

“What’s wrong my brother, something wrong with your powers?”  Mother Divine asked with a sly smile.

“Is this your doing woman?  What are you up to?”  Necroloque asked, looking at the mirror that contained Mother Divine.  “Are you behind what’s happening right now?”

“You’ll never know,” Mother Divine replied as her image flickered on the mirror’s surface.

“What have you done?”  Necroloque asked as he shook his head.

“What should’ve been done a hundred years ago,” Mother Divine replied as she disappeared from the mirror’s reflection and then appeared in front of Necroloque.

“You’re free,” Necroloque stated, stepping back from Mother Divine.

“Yes my brother, I said I would be at some point,” Mother Divine stated as she stepped forward and then turned around quickly as she lashed out with her powers. “Divine, Sash of Suffering!”

(<PAMPH>)

“I don’t think so!”  Tara screamed, appearing in front of Necroloque as she deflected the magical energy beam that Mother Divine directed at him.  “Sir, are you alright?”

“Wonder Woman, how did you get here?”  Necroloque asked, looking at Tara strangely.  “What’s going on around here?”

“Let’s just say that JT has his hands full, but he sent me to help you,” Tara replied, grabbing Necroloque’s hand and flying through the air with him. “Is that really your sister?”

“I—I don’t know,” Necroloque replied.

“Something tried to trick JT into thinking it was his grandmother, but he somehow saw through the disguise,” Tara stated as she landed on a cliff, releasing Necroloque’s hand.  “He told me to give you his cloak.”

“Hmmm, why would he give me this?”  Necroloque asked, looking at Tara strangely.  “This only works for him, it was enchanted by the elders to allow him to…”

“We don’t have time for all of that sir,” Tara stated with a frown.  “He said for me to give it to you and that you shouldn’t trust your eyes.”

“With that being said Wonder Woman, can you be trusted?”  Necroloque asked, stepping back from Tara as he snapped his fingers as her costume disappeared, revealing her true visage.  “So, you really are the Wonder Woman.”

“I don’t know what’s going on in this place, but I’ll be glad when one of you figures it out,” Tara stated as she looked around.

“I’ll tell you what’s going on,” someone spoke as there was a flash of light as the castle walls started shaking.

“Who’s there?”  Necroloque asked, looking around, not seeing anyone.

“The once and former king of this realm, you are king no more,” the voice spoke as there was another flash of light and Tara and Necroloque gasped.

Operation Magic – Chapter 3

Chapter 3 — Silence of the Heart

A Week Later – Arlington, VA – The Home of John and Roland Donovan – The Backyard

John’s POV

“Did you think it was such a good idea, having a barbecue bro?”  Ramona asked, walking over to where I stood.  “I just told you last week that I saw you guys’ death and here you are, having a barbecue, with everyone in attendance from both your jobs.”

“We’re having this get together for a reason sis,” I said, smiling at her.  “This way, I can read everyone’s soul and see if there’s anything we have to worry about from the people we work with.”

“Clever bro, but I thought you told me once before that you couldn’t read everyone at your job,” Ramona stated, looking around as I frowned.

“That’s where you come in,” I replied, looking at her closely.  “Whatever I can’t see, you possibly can.”

“So, you want me to force visions out of people?”  She asked as I nodded my head.

Hell, if I can’t read their souls, to determine if they’re the cause of our untimely deaths, I would rather she see a vision of what they may possibly do to us in the long run.  Just the thought of us dying, leaving the boys to be raised by strangers has put a bad feeling in my spirit.  Having that bad feeling in my spirit isn’t a good thing right now.  I love those little boys with all of my heart and I’m not about to allow them to go through the same hell that me and Ramona went through as kids.  Had it not been for our gifts and our friends, I don’t know if either one of us would’ve made it this far in life.

“Hey baby, how are things on the grill looking?”  Roland asked as he walked over to where I stood, bringing over a tray of hamburger patties.

“Things are looking great and they smell good too,” I replied, turning a piece of chicken over as he handed me the tray so I could place the burgers on the grill.  “Where are the hot dogs?”

“I’ll bring those out on the next tray,” Roland replied with a smile as he fanned his hand in front of his face, breathing in the aroma of the meat cooking.  “I can’t wait to dig into a piece of that.”

“Hmmm, I say that about you sometimes baby,” I said, smiling as his face went red.  “I love it when you blush like that.”

“Baby, one of the boys could’ve heard you,” he said as I looked around, not seeing any kids near us.

“Oh cut it out, the boys aren’t even in earshot of us, they are off somewhere, playing with the other kids around here,” I said, patting his ass quickly as he looked around, the blush on his face darkening.

“You know I love it, when your face changes shades like that,” I said, turning another piece of the chicken on the grill as I picked up my water bottle and spritzed a few of the chicken pieces and then grabbed the bowl with the sauce.

“Wait baby, I want a piece without the sauce on it,” he spoke quickly as I noticed Gavin James, one of my co-workers, walking towards us as I spotted Ramona, hopping up from her seat quickly.

Okay, what’s going on here?  Is there something I should be concerned with?  Why did Ramona just jump up that way and why does she have that mean look on her face?  Is Gavin a person of interest I should be worried about?  What’s going on?  I’m not hearing her thoughts right now, so what has her on edge like that?

“Ramona,” I spoke as she looked at me and then looked around quickly.  “Ramona, is there something wrong?”

“Bro, something’s not right,” she replied as she looked at me and then turned and looked at Gavin.

“Something’s not right with who?  Is it Gavin?”  I whispered as she looked back at him and then back to me.

“Bro, I think you need to keep your eyes and ears open around him,” she said as she moved backwards as he got closer.  “If I have to, I’ll knock his ass out, before he gets to us.”

“I don’t think that’s necessary,” I replied, wondering what it was that she saw in a vision that has her acting this way right now.  “Roland, why don’t you go check on the boys, I’ll speak with Gavin and if there’s a problem, I’ll mind-call you.”

“Okay baby,” Roland replied, leaning in and brushing his lips across my cheek as he walked in the opposite direction.

“Bro, are you sure about this?”  Ramona asked, looking around again.  “You know I can solve this problem real quick.”

“I’m sure I don’t want you to create an incident that’s going to create a bigger problem,” I said as Gavin stood in front of me.  “Well hi there Gavin, are you having a great time?”

“One of the best,” he replied, looking around nervously as if he was waiting for something to happen.  “Ah John, I—I need to talk with you… I need to talk with you privately for a moment.”

“You need to talk privately about what?”  I asked, looking around, trying to keep my eyes on where Ramona stood and where Roland and the boys were.

“Can we go someplace else?”  He asked as he moved around the grill to get closer to me.

“Ah, I guess,” I replied, putting the fork and spray bottle down as I led him to an empty part of the yard.  “What’s on your mind Gavin?”

“Oscar Saunders,” he replied as he looked at me strangely as I wondered why he brought that fuck-up’s name up.

“What about him?”  I asked.

“John, we’ve known each other for a long time in different circles, but there’s a problem and you need to know what that problem is,” he said as I wondered where he was going with this.

“What about Oscar Saunders?”  I asked.

“You know him, don’t you?”  He said, getting closer to me, his eyes never leaving mine.

“Yeah, I know the fuck-up, why?”  I asked.

“Currently, he’s in danger.  There’s a bounty on his head,” Gavin stated as I wondered what that information had to do with the two of us, talking about him of all people.

“So what, he’s in danger and…” I said, waiting for him to say more about why I was here with him, talking about this.

“You worked with him in the past, right?”  He said as I crossed my arms across my chest, waiting for him to go into more detail about this.

“Gavin, why don’t you get to the part of what this has to do with me.  One, I can care less that Oscar is in danger, that’s something he’s good at doing.  Two, Oscar is…”

“Weren’t you two in a relationship together at one point?”  Gavin asked.

Why in the hell is he asking me something like this?  How could he have possibly known about the short-lived relationship I had with that fucker?  Why is he telling me about there being a hit out on Oscar of all people?

“Gavin stop, what does any of this have to do with things as they are right now?”  I asked.

“The bounty on Oscar’s head is very specific,” he replied as I shook my head.

“Specific how?”  I asked, looking at him closely as I tried to pry into his mind, but something was blocking me from getting the information I wanted to see.

“The contract I heard about, wants him and his family gone,” Gavin stated as he looked at me with a sad expression on his face.

“Okay Gavin, what does that have to do with me?  I’m not part of Oscar’s family,” I stated as he looked down again.

“Apparently, you’ve been out of the ‘know’ for far too long,” he said as he sighed.  “The person, whoever that may be, listed you as one of the people connected to Oscar and you are to disappear too.”

“What!”  I snapped as other people around in various places in the yard, turned and looked at the two of us as he waved his hand, trying to quiet me down.  “Are you fucking serious?  I’m not related to Oscar, I have no connection to that fucking bastard!  How did you find out about this?”

“One of my contacts saw you at the office last week and showed me the information about the bounty,” he answered, looking around quickly as I thought about who his contact could’ve been.  “The person that put the hit out on Oscar, he wants everyone connected to him, gone.”

“Oh God, that could be the cause of everything,” I said, waving my hand at him, using my gifts to freeze him and everything around me in place.

Oh God, how could this be happening?  My life… my family’s lives are in danger because of some damn fool I fucked around with for a weekend!  That damn fool broke my heart and almost caused me to do the unthinkable and now this!  How could this be happening to us?  Why would someone think that I’m connected to Oscar Saunders of all damn people?  I haven’t seen that fucker since that damn night he walked out on me.

Hell, if someone would look at things logically, I should be the one putting a hit out on his damn life.  That fucker tricked and used me!  He left me in a damn hotel in the middle of Peru!  A place where where wars were breaking out all around!  At the time, he was a double agent and I didn’t know he was working for the other side.  I had no idea that he had taken a pay off to get secrets against me and my team.  Had I not used my gifts, we all would’ve perished over in Peru.  Because of me, I let my heart, emotions and lust cause me to let my guard down.  I won’t make that mistake again.

‘Baby, is there something wrong?  Did you happen to freeze time or something?’  I heard Roland’s voice in my mind.

‘I just heard some bad news that I’m not happy with,’  I mentally spoke to Roland, extending my thoughts to him and to Ramona.  ‘I was just informed that there’s a hit out on someone else and that someone else extends to me… possibly to us.’

‘Bro, what are you going to do about this?’  I heard Ramona’s thoughts.

‘I need you yo come over here and see if you can pull a vision from him.  I want to see what his future holds,’ I mentally spoke to her as I waved my hand in Gavin’s direction, using my gift to pull him away from our world into another one, but something wouldn’t allow us to leave.

“Apparently, I am not able to pull him into the other dimension,” I spoke out as Ramona made her way over to where we stood as she grabbed his head as her eyes shimmered an eerie gold color.

“He’s not the cause of what happens Bro, but he has a secret that involves all of us,” Ramona stated as she touched my hand, allowing me to share in the vision she saw.

What in the hell is this?  He’s not the cause of what’s going on, but he’s a big part of things.  He’s not who he claims to be.  He’s not mortal, he’s like us… he’s one of us.

‘What are you talking about babe?’  I heard Roland’s voice.  ‘If he’s like us, then why didn’t you detect that sooner?’

‘If he’s like us, he could be using his gift to hide that.  Maybe someone put a spell on him to keep him from being detected,’ I mentally stated as I looked around, wondering how this guy was able to get close to me all those years ago and I never knew he was like us.

“Bro, something’s happening, he’s unfreezing,” Ramona spoke as she took on a defensive stance as Gavin looked around.

“Trying to pull me into another world isn’t a good thing to do when you have a yard full of guests,” Gavin spoke as he frowned at me.

“What are you talking about Gavin?”  I asked, looking at him closely as I waited for him to tell me more.

“John, I know you aren’t mortal,” Gavin stated as I looked over at Ramona and then back at him.  “I know about you, your sister Ramona and your husband Roland.”

“What is it that you supposedly know?”  I asked as he frowned and then stepped backwards as his eyes shimmered and then he was gone.

“Bro, what the hell just happened here?”  Ramona asked, looking around.  “Did he just slide away?”

“Apparently so,” I replied, frowning as I used my gift to unfreeze the area, making sure that no one would notice the body that was now missing from the yard.  “If he’s like us and he can slide away, that’s a threat all on it’s own.  That means he can be anywhere he wants to be and being that I can’t detect him, that means you guys can’t either.”

“Makes for a bad enemy,” Ramona stated as she sighed and then looked around.  “What are we going to do?”

“I don’t know,” I replied, looking down.  “Maybe we should consult with…”

“Don’t go there Bro,” Ramona stated, shaking her head.  “The last time you tried to talk wit them, they almost trapped your spirit with them.”

“How else are we going to find out who this guy is?”  Ramona asked.

“Don’t know, I’ll find a way,” I said as the smell of something burning grabbed my attention as I rushed back over to the grill to see about the chicken.

Huh, freezing time didn’t actually stop the chicken from cooking.  I guess there’s even things that my gifts can’t control.  I think I better work on that.  I wonder what else went unfrozen when I thought things were frozen.

Somewhere in Sierra Leone, West Africa – An Unknown Village

Gavin James’ POV

Why do I get the feeling that I just made a big mistake, revealing myself to him and his sister that way?  I was trying to help him, but I fear I’ve made things worse than what they really are.  She has the powers of the mind, just like he does, but he’s an ultimate, like I am, I wonder what they were both able to see about me.

Now that I’ve left them the way I did, how am I going to fix what I did?  Damn it, I really need my head examined.  The others are going to really freak the hell out when I tell them what I’ve done.  I shouldn’t have been so quick to blurt out that I knew about him, his sister and his husband.  They probably think they are the only ones in the world like them, but I’m sure by now, they are figuring things out.

As I think back on how things started, I should’ve just stayed on the topic at hand, dealing with Oscar Saunders and not letting it slip that I was like him.  The way he and Ramona looked at me, I knew they had used their powers on me.  But then again, I should’ve just eased him into the conversation and not blurting everything out.

“Where in the hell am I?”  I asked, looking around as I spotted a few things that looked familiar.  “It can’t be… Oh God, I didn’t… I did…”

I guess in my frenzied state of trying to get away from John and his sister, I slid all the way to Sierra Leone, one of the worst war torn places in the world.  I haven’t been here since 1991, when civil war broke out.  Had it not been for Liberia and some secret help from me and the others, this place wouldn’t exist right now.

“Why did I end up here of all places?”  I asked aloud, wondering if there was another factor at play here.  Did I slide here of my own will or did John or his sister send me here?

Looking around again, I didn’t sense anything out of the ordinary and I’m not able to feel any hostile thoughts pertaining to me.  So, if someone else is responsible for me being here, I’m not able to sense their spirit.  I’m just shocked that I ended up here.  Why does this village look like a war has been fought here?  Since the government was overthrown, there shouldn’t be any military of any kind around here.

“You there!”  I heard behind me as I turned around quickly to see a military officer there with his gun pointed at me.

“No thanks man, you can save that for someone else,” I said, gesturing with my hand as he floated into the air and then was slammed into a nearby building.

I’m not going to give him the chance to hurt me or raise any alarms.  I have to get out of here quick, before something else happens.  I just need to concentrate on getting home so I can get the hell away from here.  The sooner I get home, the sooner I can attempt to smooth things over with John, his sister and his husband.

The Home of Oscar Saunders – The Bedroom

Oscar’s POV

I’ve been gone a whole week and it doesn’t seem like things have changed at all.  What am I going to do to solve this problem?  I can’t keep running, looking over my shoulder at every turn.  I have to find the person behind this and convince them to undo what they’ve done.

Now that Anne and her parents are safe someplace else, I can concentrate on trying to solve this problem.  My problem is, who is behind this?  Who do I know, that has the guts to orchestrate something like this?  Who has the pull and the money to put such a bounty on my head and my family?  For anyone to actually act on this hit, they must hate me or there’s tons of money involved.  So who’s the richest person I’ve pissed off?  Who’s the person that I’ve pissed off the most, that would want to take me out just for the hell of it.  Hell, I can think of only two people that fit the bill for wanting me gone, John Donovan and Max Kingsley.

Damn it, I just saw John last week.  Is he the one that’s going to kill me?  Hell, with what I did to him, he has plenty of reasons to hate me enough to kill me.  I left him stranded in the middle of a war-torn village of Peru, where he would surely die, but somehow he didn’t.  I wonder how he was able to get out of that.  I only got out, because I had people smuggle me out of there, but how did he get out?  That’s another mystery that I haven’t been able to solve about him.  I wonder does how he got away from Peru have anything to do with how he was able to slam me into a damn wall without touching me.  How did that fucking shit happen?

I haven’t seen Max Kingsley in a few months, but the last time I saw him, he wasn’t too happy with me.  He’s one of the richest guys I know and for the right amount of money, I’m sure he would take my ass out too, for what I did to him.  Damn, is that what I’m only capable of, just screwing guys over?  Is that the reason for there being a hit out for my life?  All I seem to do is use guys, get what I want out of them and then I leave them alone.  It’s no wonder that I’m alone right now, in this big ass house.

“One day, I’m going to have to work on changing that part of me.  I can’t keep on doing that to guys, especially those that I really like,” I said, sighing as I walked over to the closet and grabbed a few things hanging up.  “Had I not been such a prick to John, maybe I would be married to him right now.  I would have the family life he has right now, a loving husband and kids.  I’ve always dreamt of having that kind of life, but being an agent, really fucked all of that up… well I guess it didn’t fuck that up for John, he seems to have it… or is that a cover he’s playing right now?”

Does John really have that kind of life or is that a damn cover?  Is he really a happy man with a husband and kids?  Or is he currently undercover, trying to take someone down?  Maybe I looked at things all wrong.

Operation Magic – Chapter 2

Chapter 2 — Fool On The Street

Arlington, VA – The Home of John and Roland Donovan

Roland’s POV

We just arrived at the house and both boys are fast asleep in the back seat.  We’re just sitting here in the car, not saying anything.  What’s going on and what happened at the Gala?  Since he encountered Senator McCallister, he’s been quiet and that’s not a good sign.  If there’s something wrong, I would like him to tell me, instead of him acting the way he’s acted for the last few hours.

Since we left the Gala, he’s acted as if I have the plague or something.  Did I do something to him and not know it or what?  Even while we sat eating burgers and fries with the kids, he said nothing.  What could have happened that has him so quiet?  Even now, we’re just sitting here, like there’s this big wall separating us.  What the hell is this?  I am not used to this kind of silence with him.

“Okay, I’ll get Mason,” I said, unsnapping the seat belt as I opened the door and got out of the car.

I walked to the back door, opened it and then prepared to remove the seat belt from Mason as his body shimmered in a gold colored light and then he vanished.  Sighing, looking over at Caleb, the same thing happened to him.  I’ll take it that he transported the children up to bed in their rooms.

“Your doing?”  I spoke, looking across the seat at him as he got out and then closed the door.  “John, what in the hell is going on?”

“I’m sorry,” he replied with a frown on his face as I moved out of the car, closing the door as I walked around to where he stood.

“What happened tonight?  What’s going on?”  I asked.

“I…” He started as I shook my head.

“I don’t want to hear you apologize again, unless you’re going to apologize for the way you’ve been acting this evening,” I stated as I noticed that his eyes were shimmering.  “If you’re trying to hex me, I suggest you don’t do it.”

“I’m not trying to hex you Roland,” he replied as he sighed.  “I—I don’t know how to tell you what happened earlier this evening.”

“Why can’t you tell me?  Whatever it is, I think it has something to do with that strange Senator McCallister.”

“No, it had nothing to do wth the senator,” he replied with a frown.  “The senator is the least of my worries.”

“Well, if it wasn’t the senator, then what was it?”  I asked.

“Oscar Saunders,” he replied as I looked at him, wondering who he was talking about.  “Oscar Saunders, the guy that stranded me in…”

“Are you talking about the guy that almost made you sacrifice your soul?”  I asked as he sighed and then nodded his head.  “We’re talking about the guy that almost shattered your heart!”

“Yeah,” he replied, looking down as I turned away from him, wondering how all of this could’ve started.  “He was at the Gala, he bumped into me in the bathroom and I…”

“You saw him, you shut your spirit off from me and then you turned into Mr. Silence,” I said as I felt him standing behind me.  “I don’t like the silence…”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to hurt you in any way,” he responded as I felt his hands move around my waist.  “I didn’t want you experiencing the feelings of…”

“I’m hurt because you didn’t just come out and tell me sooner, instead of waiting this long,” I said, sighing.  “You were a total wreck because of him and I don’t want that happening again, especially now.  Your life is different now.  We are different now.”

“I know we’re different now baby,” he said, kissing my neck as I leaned against his body.

“We don’t need anything compromising what we have now,” I said as I could faintly hear his thoughts again.  “We have a family now, a new life.  It’s not like it used to be when you were running across the realms, trying to defend your bloodline.”

“Babe, those days are over, there is someone else to defend the bloodline,” he said as we rocked back and forth, to the melody that he hummed in his mind.  “I’m sure Arik has a great time fighting demons and evil in my place.”

“I’m sure he does, but at some point, it will be your responsibility again,” I said, remembering a quote from his uncle, stating that he was the only one with the power to save his family and keep them on the right path.

“Right now, Arik is at the height of his powers and I’ve taught him everything he needs to know to keep the family protected,” he said as everything around us went black and then we were in our bedroom.  “Let’s can all of this magic talk and get some sleep.  The boys have a busy day ahead of them tomorrow.”

“Yes they do and they are so psyched about it,” I said as I touched his chest, using a spell to get rid of his clothing as he smiled as we both moved over to the bed.

“For a guy that doesn’t like relying on his gifts, you tend to do so a whole lot,” he said, kissing my mouth as we both got into bed.

“Well I have it, there’s no point in letting it go to waste,” I said, pulling the comforter over us as I moved closer to him.

“Good night baby, I love you,” he said as he kissed my ear and then draped his arm across me.

“I love you too baby,” I replied, able to see what had him so upset from earlier.

The Home of Cadet Skip Bridges – The Bedroom

Skip’s POV

Damn it, it’s almost three in the morning and I’m beyond tired.  What the hell was Abrams’ problem anyway?  He acted as if he wasn’t going to allow me or any of the others to leave at all.  What was the point of him holding us there longer when he had already been debriefed about the night’s events.  If I didn’t know any better, I’d think he was trying to find out something, but what?

What could he have been trying to find out?  Nothing actually happened to the President or any of the important guests in attendance.  The only thing that made a buzz was the thing that happened with the black guy in the bathroom.  Then again, Abrams is an asshole and he might’ve been in one of those assholery moods.

One of these days Abrams is going to get what’s coming to him.  I think the mofo was just looking for a reason to bust my balls, being that I ratted his ass out for what he was caught doing in a broom closet with a party guest last month.  He’ll know to suck dick on his own time and not while he’s supposed to be patrolling.

Then again, I think there is something to what went on with that black guy that was in the bathroom tonight.  I think I need to keep my eyes on him.  What I saw tonight could be what others are looking for and he might be my key to getting what I want in the long run.  I don’t want to be the lowest man on the totem pole forever.

Meridian Hospital – The Emergency Room

Senator McCallister sat in the emergency room’s waiting area for almost an hour before a nurse called him back to triage.  As he walked through the doors with the nurse, he coughed a bit, spitting up blood as the nurse jumped backwards, doing her best to avoid the blood splatter.  Grabbing a pair of gloves from the box on the wall, the nurse assisted the senator through a set of double doors and into an exam room as she pressed a button, signaling others that there was an emergency.

“What’s going on Mary?”  Another nurse asked, rushing from behind the nurses’ station.

“Call a code!  There’s something drastically wrong, he’s coughing up blood everywhere!”  The nurse screamed, trying to position the senator on the exam table as he continued coughing up blood.  “Sir, can you tell me what happened before you arrived here?”

“I don’t know,” Senator McCallister replied, coughing more as he held his chest as the nurse grabbed a mask from a drawer next to the exam table and covered her face.

“When did this start sir?”  The nurse asked, grabbing some other things from the drawer to assist with getting him cleaned up a bit as another nurse and a doctor rushed into the room.

“A few days ago,” Senator McCallister replied as his eyes closed and his head fell backwards on the table.

“He’s out!”  The nurse screamed as the doctor grabbed a pear of scissors and started cutting his shirt open.

“Jean, get Doctor Rayne up here fast, we’re going to need his expertise for this,” the doctor stated as he got up on the table, doing chest compression on the senator.  “I need a mouth guard Mary.”

“Here!”  The first nurse stated, handing the doctor the device he requested.  “I’m not getting a pulse from him!”

The nurse and doctor worked with the senator for a few minutes, getting his breathing restarted again as he opened his eyes and started coughing again.  The other nurse returning to the room, the first nurse grabbed a small device and an alcohol pad as she smacked the top of his hand, trying to find a vein to start an I-V port.

“I don’t think I’m going to be able to start a port on him, he’s veins are rolling too much,” the first nurse stated as as she rolled the senator’s sleeve up his arm, trying to find a vein there for the I-V port.

“Did someone call the damn code?”  The doctor asked, climbing down from the table as the second nurse assisted him with checking the senator’s eyes.  “His eyes aren’t showing a damn response to the light!”

“What in the hell could be going on with this man?”  The first nurse asked as the senator screamed out as the lights in the room went out, leaving them in the dark.

“What the hell was that?”  The doctor asked as an alarm sounded.  “Is the damn power out?”

“What in the hell is going on around this place?”  The second nurse asked as the lights started flashing on and off.  “This is some damn freaky shit!”

“We have to keep working with this man!”  The doctor yelled, holding his penlight up, looking in the direction of one of the nurses.  “Are the phones working?”

“Phone’s working!”  Another person replied, entering the room.

= Everyone please be calm, there was a temporary power failure.  The power has been restored and all systems are restarting. =

“I wonder what caused the power failure,” one of the nurses spoke, still working with the senator.

“Let’s not worry about that right now,” the doctor spoke, looking in the senator’s mouth.  “We need to get this man to radiology, we need to find out if there’s some internal bleeding.”

“Okay doctor,” the second nurse stated as she walked over to the wall and picked up the phone there.

The Home of Oscar Saunders – The Bedroom

Oscar’s POV

Damn it, what am I going to do?  It’s almost light out and I have yet to go to sleep.  I need to get some rest, but I’m scared that if I fall asleep, someone will break in and there won’t be anymore me.  I know the alarm is set and all, but with some of the people I’ve worked with in the past and some of the fools I’ve taken down in the past, I’m sure they can bypass my security system here.

Damn it, how in the hell did that fucker find me anyway?  I’ve been here for the last year and my past hasn’t come back to haunt me until now.  I thought changing my hair and eye color would’ve kept my past just that the past, but I guess that was just my wishful thinking.  It seems that fucker was able to recognize me, even with a case of damn memory loss.

Something’s not adding up.  That fucker was blown up and now he’s back and it seems he knows me.  The last I saw him, he was in a damn hospital in Kuwait, with no memory of who he damn was and all of his damn organs were failing.  How in the hell did he survive that?  I’ve changed a whole lot since I last saw him.  I was just out of the SEALS when we met.  He shouldn’t recognize me this way, but he did.  Is there something else going on that I’m not getting?  Whatever treatment he got in Kuwait, was one helluva treatment.

“I can’t stay awake forever, regardless of how much coffee I drink,” I said, walking around the kitchen as I contemplated my current plight.  “No amount of coffee is going to save me right now and get that bounty off of my head.”

Sighing, I took another sip of my coffee and then placed the mug on the night table. Looking at the clock, it read ‘5:27 AM’ as thoughts of Anne and her family flashed through my mind.  They are in danger, al because of me.  Had I not involved myself into her life, there wouldn’t be possible danger for her and her folks.

“I’ll have to get her and her parents underground quickly and get them under different names,” I said aloud as I sighed again.  “I have to get them set up somewhere else, to keep them out of danger.  But who can I get to help me?”

I don’t have any good damn contacts right now.  All the people that I currently know, hate the fuck out of me.  I guess that’s my fault for being a damn user.  Had it not been for the way I’ve treated people in the past, there probably wouldn’t be a damn bounty on me now.  I wonder who the person is that has the hit out for me.  If I find that person and make try to make amends, would that stop the hit?

“Who could it be?  He didn’t tell me who put the hit out on me,” I said, sighing again as I rolled over in the bed as I could see the sky lightening up as day approached.  “There are tons of people in the world that hate me.”

That’s just it, tons of people hate me.  Hell, even JT hates me and I bumped into him earlier tonight.  Is it possible that he put the hit out on me?  I didn’t know anything about the damn hit, until after I bumped into him in the damn bathroom.  And what in the hell was that, that happened in the bathroom while he was with me?  How did I get slammed into the damn wall that way?  That was the oddest damn thing ever.

“I can’t keep thinking about all of this, I need to get some rest,” I said aloud as I sighed again, pulling the covers up a bit as I looked over at the fireplace, thinking about the last time I spent with JT, when we were in Peru.

Alexandra, VA – Great Waves Waterpark – The Entrance

“Hello guys,” John heard as he turned around to see a familiar face standing there with bags in her arms.  “You just going to stand there or what?”

“Hey sis,” John spoke with a smile.

“Aunt Ramona,” Caleb, John and Roland’s youngest son spoke up as he rushed over to the woman, wrapping his arms around her, hugging her tight.  “I’m so glad to see you Auntie.”

“I’m so glad to see you too Puddin’,” the woman spoke as she rubbed the little boy’s back as she kissed his cheek and then released him.  “Where’s your big brother at?”

“He and Papa went to the bathroom,” Caleb replied as he looked up at John and then back at the woman.  “What are you doing here Aunt Ramona?”

“Your Dads told me that you guys were going to be here today, so I came by to hang out with you guys,” the woman spoke as John looked over at her strangely as his eyes shimmered a bit.

‘Ramona, is there something wrong?’  John mentally spoke, looking at the woman closely.  ‘Why are you here?’

‘I’m here because I had a vision and foresaw that you four were in trouble, so here I am,’ the woman mentally replied as John looked around quickly and then sighed.

“Sonny boy, do you have to go to the bathroom too?”  John asked, looking at the little boy.  “You might need to go right now.  We might not be able to find one near us when we start getting on some of the rides.”

“Okay Daddy,” Caleb spoke, walking away from John and the woman.

“What did you actually see?”  John asked, looking at the woman.

“I actually saw both of you die,” the woman stated with a frown.  “You were both lying on the ground and the boys were kneeling over you two, crying because you were dead.”

“You didn’t see anything that led up to that?”  John asked, reaching out to touch the woman as she took his hand.

“Sugah, the only thing that I was able to see was the end, nothing more than that,” the woman stated, sighing as she looked around.  “Has something happened with you guys?  Could this possibly have something to do with Arik?”

“I—I don’t know, you had the vision,” John replied with a frown.  “Nothing’s happened with us, not that I now of.”

“Has there been any changes with you guys since you last saw Arik?”  She asked, looking at John closely as she looked over his shoulder to see Roland and the two children.  “Look alive, the kids are coming back.”

“Arik, he’s currently looking for the Scepter of Euripides,” John spoke as Caleb walked up and took his hand.  “When he finds what he’s looking for, he’ll let me know.”

“Hi Ramona,” Roland spoke, leaning in and hugging the woman.  “Glad you could make it.”

“Glad I could make it too,” the woman spoke with a weak smile as he looked at John, noticing that his eyes were shimmering.  “Why don’t we go ahead and get inside to get on some rides.”

“I’m ready,” Mason spoke, dancing around in place as the woman laughed as she patted his back.

“Come on, let’s get inside,” John stated as he looked around again as they walked through the gates, handing the gate attendee their passes.

A Few Hours Later – The Food Court

Roland’s POV

It’s almost lunch time and I’m tired out.  Dang, those little boys are way too full of energy.  Either I’m getting old or maybe I didn’t get enough sleep last night.  Being that it was well after one when we got into bed, that could be the reason why I’m so tired right now.

“Are you okay Roland?”  Ramona asked, watching me closely.

“I’m fine girl, just a bit tired,” I replied as she smiled weakly and then looked around.  “I heard what you had to say to him.  Is there some way you could get another glimpse of that future?”

“I don’t want to get another glimpse of that future,” she said, sighing as she looked down at the table.

“What were you doing when you had that vision?”  I asked, looking around, making sure no one was within earshot of us.  “Were you touching something when that happened?”

“I was sitting at work, minding my business when that happened,” she replied.  “It seems like it just popped into my mind all of a sudden.”

“It just popped into your mind?  I—I thought you had to be touching something or someone to actually get a vision,” I said as she shook her head.

“No, my gift has improved a bit,” she spoke, picking up a plastic straw from the ground as she closed her eyes and then sighed.  “This belonged to a little black kid that had been raped by his uncle and said uncle has killed a few people and is currently awaiting trial.”

“That’s just morbid,” I said as she frowned.

“I know, but there’s nothing I can do about that,” she said, shaking her head.  “There’s nothing I can do about who touches the items I pick up.”

“I pray that little boy gets some counseling for what’s happened to him,” I said as she looked down.

“I doubt he will,” she said, looking up as I noticed that someone from my job was standing across from us, watching us.

What the hell, is that Nick from my job?  If so, what in the hell is he doing around here of all places?  This goes way beyond stalking, if that’s him.  Getting up from the table, I walked towards the guy until I was sure it was Nick from my job.  Sighing, I wondered what he was actually doing here.  Is he here to spy on me or is he actually here for another reason?

“Well hello there,” I spoke, extending my hand to Nick as he stood there with a creepy smile on his face, shaking my hand.  “I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Hi Roland, what a surprise,” he spoke, releasing my hand as he looked around.  “I’m here with my niece and one of her friends.  I’m on babysitting duty this weekend.”

“Oh yeah, we brought the boys here today,” I said as he looked at me strangely.  “Me and my husband.”

“Your husband?  I—I didn’t know you were married,” he spoke, the expression on his face speaking volumes.  “I—I guess congratulations are in order or something.”

“I’ve been married for about five years now,” I spoke as he looked down.

Damn, I guess I just ruined his day with the way he’s looking.   How could he not know I’m a married man.  There are pictures of John and the boys on my desk for crying out loud.  Most of the people in the office know that fact about me.  I know he’s new and all, but I’m sure the others would’ve filled him in by now.  He’s been there for over three months, that’s enough time for him to find out things.

“Five years, that’s a very long time,” he spoke, looking around as if he were looking for someone.

“Yeah, a long time,” I said with a smile.  “We have two little boys that are our world.”

“That—that’s cool,” he replied, placing his hands in his pockets as he got this uncomfortable look on his face.

Something’s telling me that I’ve just crushed him.  How could he not know this information about me?  Since he’s been employed at the office, he’s been making little excuses to hang around me.  I guess I don’t have to worry about that anymore, being that I just dropped my life on him.  Being that my husband just walked up to us, I’m sure things are about to get more surreal for him.

“Hi, I’m John,” I heard John say as I turned to look at him as he reached out and shook Nick’s hand.

“Baby, this is Nick… Nick Starling,” I said as he smiled weakly and then looked at me.  “He’s one of the new financial analyst for the company.”

“Hi,” Nick replied as he looked nervously at me and then back at John.  “So, what do you do?”

“I’m a therapist,” John replied, looking at Nick quickly and then turning his attention back to me.  “Babe, we’re going to go ahead and order.  What do you want?”

“I’ll have a corn dog and some fries,” I answered, looking at Nick as I could see the sadness in his eyes.  “Also, get me a pretzel with hot mustard.”

“Okay,” he said, leaning in and kissing my cheek as he started to walk away.  “It was nice meeting you Nick.”

“Yeah, it was nice meeting you too,” he called out with a wave as he smiled weakly.  “I’m going to catch up with the girls and I’ll see you at work on Monday.  Have a great day out with your family.”

“You too,” I said, waving as I turned to walk back to where my family was.

Operation Magic – Chapter 1

Chapter 1 — Classless

Washington, D.C. — The White House — A Private Research Room

“Summers, have you found the connection we’re looking for?” A research scientist asked, walking into the room with a clipboard in hand.

“No sir,” a military cadet spoke, saluting the man. “I think we would need a live specimen to actually figure out the connection.”

“Right now, a live specimen isn’t available, you have to test what we have,” the research scientist spoke as he wrote some things down on a piece of paper on his clipboard. “What have you discovered so far, if anything?”

“I’ve discovered that all the tissue is dead and it’s decaying at a very fast rate,” the cadet replied as he walked over to a table, lifted a tarp and then pointed with his finger. “Sir, if you look at this, you could actually see the decay for yourself.”

“I don’t want to see the decay, I want to see results,” the research scientist spoke, slinging the clipboard across the room, barely missing the cadet. “I want results and I want them quickly.

“Yes sir,” the cadet spoke, rushing to get back to his task.

An Hour Later — Across Town — The Zeta Event (A Gala) — The Presidential Ballroom

“Good evening Senator,” a tall white man spoke, walking towards another white man. “It’s nice that you could make it out this evening. I’ve heard that you were under the weather recently.”

“I’m feeling just fine,” the man replied, looking at the other man strangely. “Where did you hear such a tale?”

“I… Ah… Well, I thought…” the second man spoke as the other man held up a hand, stopping him from speaking.

“My health is none of your concern and you keep it that way,” the man spoke, walking away from the other man as others standing around, watched what transpired and started whispering.

“Did you hear how Senator McCallister spoke to General Mason?” A woman asked, speaking with her escort as she placed her wine glass down on a table and then walked over to a set of people. “I’m shocked at how Senator McCallister just spoke to General Mason. The man was only showing concern, he didn’t need to be so crass and…”

“Anna, let it go, you know those two have history together,” another person spoke, kissing her cheek and then leading her away from the crowd of people. “Anna, why do you constantly put your nose in the affairs of other people?”

“How dare you speak to me that way Oscar,” the woman identified as Anna spoke. “I don’t have to take that kind of talk from you. I say and do what I want to. We’re no longer married, meaning you have no say-so of what I do. Do you understand that Mr. Saunders? When the judge banged that gavel, that was the end of you controlling me.”

“I’m not trying to control you Anna, I’m just trying to keep you safe. We may not be married anymore, but I don’t want to see you hurt,” the man identified as Oscar Saunders spoke, still walking along as he looked around quickly to see if anyone was following them.

v“Take your hands off of me Oscar,” Anna spoke, snatching away from Oscar as she turned around. “Why do you even care anyway?”

“Leave Senator McCallister alone and mind your business,” Oscar stated with a frown.

“Fine,” Anna stated, running a hand through her hair as she sighed.

“What is this Oscar, why are you even here? Press isn’t allowed at this function.”

“I was invited by someone,” Oscar answered as Anna raised an eye at him. “That’s none of your concern of who invited me either, remember we’re not married anymore.”

“Is it a he or a she?” Anna asked as Oscar glared at her, pointed his finger in her face and then walked off. “I guess it is a he that invited you.”

“Screw you Anna,” Oscar said, walking back towards the ballroom.

“The few times you did,” Anna spoke, displaying the middle finger as she turned and walked in the opposite direction, heading towards the exit doors.

An Hour Later — A Restricted Area of the White House

“Sir, we’ve found the specimen you requested,” a cadet spoke, walking into the area, holding a digital device in hand. “The readings we picked up, match the specimen. He’s the one that was detected by the new equipment.”

“Is the specimen able to be captured?” A man in the room asked, smiling evilly. “Where is the specimen right now?”

“The specimen is here in the building sir, he’s present at the Gala,” the cadet spoke, looking at the device in his hand. “He’s there with three others and they all have the same readings.”

“There are three of them? Do they all possess a powerful aura?” The man asked.

“We believe so sir,” the cadet replied, passing the device over to the man. “See for yourself. You’ll notice that the black one has the strongest aura, whereas the other two are strong, but not as strong as his. Maybe he’s the superior one.”

“Dispatch a team, I want them, I want them tonight,” the man stated as the cadet saluted and then exited the room.

Back in the Presidential Ballroom

“So, are you enjoying yourself Mr. Donovan?” Senator McCallister asked, shaking hands with a tall black man in the presence of another man and two small children. “Is this the family I’ve heard so much about?”

“Yes sir, this little guy is Mason and this little guy here is Caleb,” the tall black man replied, placing his hands on the shoulders of the last child. “These two little guys are my life.”

“I bet they are,” Senator McCallister replied as he coughed, turning away from the man and the children quickly as he doubled over, almost falling to the ground as the black man rushed around to possibly assist him.

“Senator, are you okay?” The black man asked, looking at Senator McCallister closely.

“I—I’m fine,” Senator McCallister replied, coughing again as some blood flew from his mouth, landing on the black man’s suit, staining his satin shirt. “God Damn It!!!! I—I’m sorry, I—I didn’t mean to do that. I’ll replace this for you, just send the bill to…”

“It’s okay Senator, don’t worry about it. Why don’t we get you somewhere else,” the black man said, assisting the senator away from the others as he gestured with his head at the man that was with him and the children.

“You don’t understand, you need to get away from me, NOW!” Senator McCallister exclaimed, pushing the black man away from him, causing him to fall backwards to the floor. “I—I’m sorry, I didn’t mean…”

“Sir, are you alright? Is everything okay here?” A military cadet asked, walking over to Senator McCallister and saluting him.

“I am fine,” Senator McCallister replied as the black man got up off the floor, watching the senator and the cadet as he stepped to the side, giving the two men some space. “Leave me be, both of you, damn it.”

“Okay Senator,” the black man said as he walked past the senator and the cadet, heading down the hall towards a men’s room.

“Senator McCallister, why don’t you come with me,” the cadet spoke, grabbing the senator by the arm. “It would be in your best interest to come with me.”

“I will do no such thing boy, get your hands off of me,” Senator McCallister spoke, snatching his arm away from the cadet.

“Come now Senator, you don’t want to make another scene here,” the cadet spoke, patting the firearm in the holster on his side. “Too many people have seen too much of your antics for one evening.”

“Who in the hell do you think you are boy?” Senator McCallister asked.

“Right now, I may be your only savior,” the cadet replied, smiling evilly as he patted the firearm in the holster again.

“What is it that you want?” Senator McCallister asked.

“I wasn’t you to come with me,” the cadet replied, motioning with his head, directing the senator to walk forward.

Down in the Men’s Room

John Donovan’s POV

What in the hell was that back there with the senator? He actually coughed up blood and it landed on me. Is there something medically wrong with him or was he just attacked? I did sense some tenseness in the way he talked with me and Roland. I first thought it had something to do with him not liking the fact that we’re gay, but now, maybe there’s something else going on. Was his tenseness a result of something else that’s going on with him? I guess it’s my goal to find out what happened with him before I encountered him.

Gesturing at the mirror with my hand, I saw my eyes glowing in the mirror’s reflection as I used my telekinesis to grab the blood particles in my shirt, separating the blood from the fabric as the blood floated freely in front of me. I need to get this somewhere to have it analyzed and…

“Yeah man, I’m at the White House, covering some damn gala about some important person’s birthday,” I heard someone say as the door opened as I turned on the water quickly, allowing the blood to fall into the sink, being washed away. Damn it!

Sighing, I looked up to see a man I knew. What in the hell is he doing here? I haven’t seen him in years. Is that really him? Is he really here or am I being tested by Fate again?

“Hey, I gotta go, I’ll catch you later,” I heard, turning around to face the man. “It’s you.”

“Hello Oscar,” I spoke as he put the phone into his pocket. “Long time, no see.”

“Yeah, it’s been a really long time,” he replied, stepping closer as he extended his hand to me. “How you been buddy.”

“You want to know how I’ve been? Where do I need to start?” I asked as he sighed and then looked down.

“I—I’m sorry,” he spoke, shaking his head.

“You left me stranded in Peru,” I spoke, wondering how he was going to react to that information.

“I didn’t mean to leave you there,” he replied, moving past me as he headed over to the urinals, standing in front of one as he unzipped and started handling his business.

“But you did none-the-less and I missed my contact,” I spoke as he sighed again, tucked himself back in, zipped up and then flushed the toilet as he moved over to the sink, standing right next to me as he turned on the water, washing his hands.

Damn it, what in the hell is wrong with this picture? Is he trying to damn flirt with me here, now? He’s standing next to me and I can feel the heat off his skin. I don’t have to use my empathy to feel that he’s after something, but what is he after? He’s done washing his hands, but he’s still standing next to me, looking me in the face, looking so damn cute. Damn it, I want to push him up against the damn wall and have my way with him. I can’t do that, I have a partner and we have a family.

“I wasn’t trying to make you miss your contact,” he spoke, brushing past me as he grabbed a paper towel from the dispenser, drying his hands as he turned slowly, looking at me, that same look that hooked me to him that night we were in Peru together. “I just wanted to see you again is all.”

“You saw me and got what you wanted and then you left me,” I spoke, remembering the used and abused feelings I had, waking up the next morning and he was nowhere to be found.

“I didn’t get what I want,” he said, throwing the paper into the trash can, his eyes seeming to burn a hole into my soul. “Had I got what I wanted, I would still have it.”

“I—I have to go,” I said, turning away from him quickly as I started to leave the room, trying to get back to Roland and the kids, mainly to clear my mind of the thoughts and feelings that were trying to creep into my heart, which wouldn’t be good for anyone if that happens.

“Wait, don’t leave so fast, I would like to make it up to you, if I can,” he said as I shook my head.

“You can’t make that up to me,” I said as he walked closer to where I stood as he reached out to touch me as I instinctively reacted and my telekinesis moved him backwards from me as he hit the wall and then looked around with a shocked and scared expression on his face.

“What the hell just happened?” He asked as the door opened as another man walked into the bathroom as I rushed out to return to Roland and the kids.

A Private Sector of the White House – A Secret Command Room

“Sir, did you see that?” A military cadet asked, watching a view screen of what had previously happened with John Donovan and Oscar Saunders in a men’s room. “That black man pushed the other man against the wall without touching him.”

“That’s not possible, you must’ve imagined that,” another cadet spoke, getting up from his seat to walk over to the other cadet. “We don’t have time for games tonight Bridges.”

“It’s not a game Phillips,” the first cadet spoke as he pressed some keys on his computer keyboard as the images on the view screen started to rewind and then play again. “See, the white guy is slammed into the wall.”

“There’s no proof of that happening man. He could’ve been off balance or something,” the cadet identified as Phillips spoke as he pressed some keys on the keyboard, enlarging the images on the screen.

“I don’t care what you say, I’m going to go ahead and report that to the superiors. You may not see that as strange, but I do,” the cadet identified as Bridges spoke as he pressed more keys on his keyboard as a box appeared on the screen as he used his finger to trace information on the screen and then he gestured with is fingers as the box disappeared. “I’ve escalated that up, so others can see it and make a decision on it.”

“I think you’re wasting a few people’s time on that man,” Phillips said as he shook his head and then walked over to his terminal, returning to his seat.

“You may think that, but small thinking is why you’re still here in this little room,” Bridges stated as he shook his head. “I’m not looking to spend my career on monitor duty for the rest of my life.”

“What you trying to say man, you think you’re better than me or something?” Phillips asked, standing back up from his terminal. “You’re no better than the next man that’ll take that damn seat, even if you’re not here. Acting that way isn’t going to score you any points around here.”

“I guess we’ll have to see, now won’t we,” Bridges spoke as he pressed more keys on the keyboard as Phillips shook his head and returned to his seat.

The Presidential Ballroom

“Hi babe, is everything okay?” Roland Donovan asked as John Donovan approached him and the two small children with him.

“We need to go,” John replied as he looked around quickly.

“Is there something wrong? Why do we need to go?” Roland asked, looking around quickly as if there was something wrong.

“I—I’m not feeling well, I think we need to go,” John answered as he looked down, trying to avoid Roland’s eyes. “Let’s just say our goodbyes and call it a night.”

“I—okay babe,” Roland relented as he smiled weakly and then looked down at the two small children.

“Boys, did you have a good time?” John asked, looking at both of the children.

“It was kind of boring Daddy,” one of the boys said as John smiled weakly as he took the boy’s hand. “I’m sure we’ll have a better time when we go to the Park tomorrow.”

“Yes, we’re going to the park in the morning,” John replied, looking around again, not noticing the sad expression on Roland’s face. “I’m sure you little guys will have a better time there.”

“Yes, I’m sure we will,” Roland spoke, taking the other boy’s hand as the four of them walked towards the doors, waving as they went.

Roland’s POV

What in the world is going on? What happened when he disappeared with the senator? Did the senator do something to him? Why is he in such of a hurry to leave here? I’ve been trying to reach out to his mind to talk with him, but he’s somehow blocking me. Why is he blocking me all of a sudden? We’ve always been able to share what’s going on with each other and now he’s blocking me from his mind, why? What could have happened when he disappeared with the senator?

“Papa, I’m still hungry,” I left my thoughts to hear Mason say as he looked up at me. “Are we going to get something?”

“I don’t know buddy, I guess we can stop some place on the way home,” I replied, looking over at John, still not able to reach out to him. “How about you Caleb, are you still hungry?”

“A little bit Papa, but not much,” Caleb replied as he smiled up at me. “Can we get pizza?”

“I think it’s a bit late for pizza, I don’t think you need to go to bed with such a big meal on your stomach kiddo,” I said, looking over at John as he continued walking down the corridor as we got outside as he walked over to the valet to get our car. “John, what do you think we should be getting? Are you hungry?”

“Ah, no—no, I am not hungry, I am fine,” he replied as he looked down quickly as he fished his wallet out of his pocket and then took some money out as he handed it to the driver that came back with our car. “Thanks buddy, alright kids, load up.”

“Okay Daddy,” Mason spoke, hopping into the backseat as John held the door open as Caleb followed behind him.

“John, what in the world is going on?” I asked, looking at him as he frowned and then opened the driver side door, getting into the car.

What in the hell is going on? Did he just act as if I didn’t ask him anything? Why did he just ignore me and get into the car? Whatever the hell’s going on, it must be big, since he’s not paying much attention to anything I have to say and he’s blocking me from sharing his spirit. He better have a good explanation for this.

An Hour Later – A Nearby Park

“Hey there,” Oscar Saunders heard behind him as he turned around to see a man standing there. “What are you doing back in town?”

“I live here. What are you doing back here?” Oscar heard as he stepped closer to the man. “I haven’t seen you since the shit that went down in Afghanistan.”

“Which shit are you referring to?” The man asked as Oscar shook his head.

“It doesn’t really matter guy. What is it that you want?” Oscar asked, looking around quickly. “Why did you summon me here?”

“Is that really what you want to know?” The man asked as Oscar shook his head again and then looked around again.

“Come on man, what is it that you want? I have better things to do with my time, than be out here in the cold with you. What is it that you want?” Oscar asked.

“The short and sweet version is, there’s a hit out for you, your family and a few of your friends,” the man stated as Oscar’s eyes widened as he looked around again.

“Man, I don’t have time for this shit,” Oscar stated as the guy smiled and then handed him a file folder. “What’s this?”

“Let’s just say someone has already started gathering intel on you,” the man said with a sly smile as he turned around. “Someone knows you’re alive and they want you and a few of your close friends taken care of. Next time, maybe you should keep your pants on, instead of leaving them under the bed in a cheap ass hotel in the middle of nowhere.”

“Fuck…” Oscar said as he looked around, but the man was nowhere to be found. “Where in the hell did he go? He was just here…. I don’t have time for this. If what he says is true, I need to get as far away from here as I can.”

Walking quickly through the park, looking in multiple directions around his body, Oscar pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number. Waiting for someone to answer, Oscar stopped when he got to the park’s entrance. Looking at the phone, he noticed that he didn’t have a signal and his call had failed.

“Damn it, why don’t I have a signal? I have to make arrangements to get away from here,” Oscar spoke as he looked around again. “If that fucker found me, I’m sure others out there, that want the bounty that’s on me head, can find me too.”

Oscar moved around a bit, trying to get his phone to connect to a cell signal. Sighing, Oscar walked out onto the street as a car barely missed hitting him as the sound of the horn blowing could be heard.

“You fucking loser!” Oscar yelled as the car’s tires screeched to a halt, the car stopping as a door opened and a person got out. “What the fuck!”

“You got a problem?” The person asked, slamming the car door, walking towards Oscar quickly.

“Oh shit,” Oscar said as he looked around and then took off running down the street, trying to avoid the person, not trying to bring more attention to himself.

Making it down the street, Oscar stopped at a local convenience store as he tried to get his breathing under control. Walking over to a phone booth, he frowned when he noticed that the cord had been cut. Shaking his head, he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket again and saw that he had some bars to make a call.

“Finally, I got bars,” Oscar said as he dialed a number on the phone and waited for someone to answer.

The Chaos Factor – Chapter 8

Chapter 8 — Chaos Goeth

Mar 15, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – The X-Ternals’ Compound – The Infirmary

“What is the point of all of this?”  Tara asked, trying to catch her breath.

“You said you didn’t know any of these people, so I’m introducing you to them,” the other JT stated as his eyes started to glow again as Tara turned her head away.

“Please continue,” Tara stated, looking down.

“Moving along then.  I’m sure you remember the wimpy Carter Sellars,” the other JT stated, looking down as he sighed.  “For all the power he has to control the weather, he was never able to handle a fight as Cyclone.”

“He’s not a wimp, he just doesn’t believe in fighting like the rest of us do,” Tara stated as the other JT shook his head.

“If it wasn’t for his actions, the Prince never would’ve been injured by Master Power and had to wear that suit of armor that Paul Stanton now wears as Golem,” the other JT stated as he and Tara floated to the next person.  “Do you remember little Jordan Logan, if not, here he is, all grown up.  He’s not so little now.  He’s a full-grown man, he even has hair down there now.”

“Psi Lad,” Tara stated as a few tears fell from her eyes.

“No woman, don’t you shed tears for that little fuck up!”  The other JT snapped, his eyes flaring with energy as Tara screamed out.  “Everything happens for a reason… Doesn’t it?”

“He didn’t deserve to lose his family the way he did,” Tara stated as she sighed and then sniffled.  “Why are you doing this?”

“I’m doing this to show you why I’m here right now,” the other JT stated as the room shook as debris fell from the ceiling.  “Shall we continue now or do you want to whine some more?”

“I wasn’t whining,” Tara stated as the other JT looked at her as his eyes flared with energy, shocking her as she held her composure, not giving him the satisfaction of her screaming out.

“Now we come to Barbara Parks, the joke of the team,” the other JT stated as he shook his head.  “All she was ever good for doing was making mixed drinks with her powers.  She could’ve been so much more, but she was scared of her potential.  Glad I finally put her out of her damn misery.”

“What’s really the point to all of this Chaos?”  Tara asked as the other JT shook his head again.

“Don’t interrupt me!”  The other JT screamed as his eyes flared with energy as Tara screamed out this time.  “Moving along now, we get to Telly Scott.  He’s been going by the name Helix, but he doesn’t know what that really means.  He’s been the resident teleporter for the team for a very long time, but the Prince could’ve provided transport for you all, without the drama and the comedic antics that he created for so long.”

“You have a point there,” Tara stated as the other JT looked at her again.

“That guy has the biggest and rudest mouth of the south.  You know the guy thinks he knows everything, but he really doesn’t, but I do.  Sometimes I wonder why the Prince allowed him to remain around here for so long.  Then again, I wonder why the Prince remained here with you all for so long.”

“He remained here because he likes u and he likes helping people,” Tara stated, closing her eyes, fearing that she would be punished for speaking.

“Maybe you are right,” the other JT stated as the two of them floated over to where A’Mora was suspended.  “The Princess of Endor, A’Mora Asland… a real princess, a real princess, just like the prince and she’s here among the rest of you.  I think she could’ve used her magical powers differently, but instead of making herself happy, she chose to fight like the rest of you do, keeping the prince from experiencing his desires.”

“There are other things in this world besides experiencing desires Chaos,” Tara stated as the other JT shook his head again and then turned to face her, slapping her across the face.  “Did you enjoy hitting me Chaos?”

“Yes, I enjoyed that,” the other JT replied, smiling.  “You’re making Chaos very happy with your actions.”

“Much obliged, I’m sure,” Tara stated as the energy cage around JT and Necroloque’s bodies flickered a bit.  “Who’s this guy?”

“This is Benjamin Kane, his name is Lightspeed.  I thought you knew him,” the other JT stated, looking at Tara strangely as they floated past the man.  “This is his stripper girlfriend, Tamara Knight.  She’s a superhero by day and a stripper queen at night.  Instead of calling herself MidKnight, she should’ve just called herself Stripper Girl.  It seems all she’s good for is taking her clothes off.”

“I already know Tyler,” Tara stated as the other JT smiled and then shook his head.

“I don’t know what you saw in Stryker to even bother trying to sex him up.  He’s a confused young man,” the other JT spoke as he shook his head and then laughed.  “Ezra Tyler Sheridan hasn’t been able to make up his mind about what he wants since the day he set food in this place. One minute he likes girls and the next he likes guys.  I guess it depends on how big the dick is that he has to take up his ass.”

“Okay,” Tara said as a few tears fell from her eyes.

“And then we come to that bitch… I mean the witch named Celeste Preston, also known as Malaphyion.  I don’t even know why she came here.  Did she think her puny magicks could stand up to the might of Chaos?”  The other JT asked, moving towards her as he waved his hand at her face as her mouth reappeared as a few energy cages behind them flickered.  “Ah yes, the coveted Mara Drake or what’s her name again… That’s right, her name is Masquerade, like that bad seventies TV shoe.  Mara Drake has been a thorn in my side for a very long time.  Because of her actions, the Prince has been confused about his life, mainly because he believed that if he married her, she would produce the magical children that he met years ago, as if that would ever happen in this life…”

“And that guy there,” Tara stated, noticing that the more the other JT spoke, the more the energy cages behind them flickered.

“This is Kevin Page; he’s an Indian with the ability to heal what he touches.  The Prince met him at a gay activist place and the two became quick friends, but that changed when Kevin Edenfield got in his way.  It seems the Mystic Healer didn’t want anything to do with this team when Kevin Edenfield was around.  Come to find out, the Healer was in love with the Prince, but couldn’t handle his feelings,” the other JT stated as his eyes flared with energy as Tara screamed out.  “That was for you trying to distract me with meaningless thoughts of the past of you and that terrible freak back there.  So, we’re moving along.  We get to Henry Hart, the so-called prankster of the team.  Onyx really cracks me up, but he looked better as a cute little puppy dog.”

“He looked better as a cute little puppy dog?  I didn’t know Hank could change into animals,” Tara stated.

“He can’t, but I changed him into the cute little puppy dog myself,” the other JT stated with a smile.  “So, be careful about what you say to me, I could easily get offended and change you into a mink coat and leave you on a nightstand somewhere.”

“Noted,” Tara stated as the other JT turned around and then waved his hand as a few of the cages moved around.

“I know you remember Kayla Reyes, you were here when she was rescued from the accident that gave her the powers she has right now,” the other JT stated as Tara shook her head.

“What accident are you referring to?”  Tara asked.

“Come on Wonder Woman, I know you remember the fight between Talisman, the Prince and the rest of you that resulted in this young girl gaining her magical powers,” the other JT stated as more energy cages behind him flickered as the one around Necroloque disappeared completely.

“I—I think I remember it now,” Tara stated as the other JT floated over to the next person and then waved his hand as she moved next to him.

“This is Laura Lynn, she is known as Plastyque, but you know that already.  You already know how the Prince met her, since you and Laura hung out in the same places, growing up, both of you being the little common thieves you were on the street,” the other JT stated as Tara shook her head.  “Anyway, that bulky guy there is Mack Unger, he goes by Rock, but I think he’s more like Mud.  The Prince met him in a hospital a few years back, after he was attacked by some thugs at the Mall that you guys used to frequent a lot.  Like you, the Prince used his magic to grant a wish and the pathetic fool wished to be strong so no one would ever pick on him again and viola, that’s what you get in return.”

“I didn’t make a wish to become the way I am,” Tara stated as the other JT shook his head.

“No, you didn’t make a wish, but the Prince did use his magic to give you the powers that you have now, did he not?”  The other JT asked, waving his hand through the air as the area shook.  “Stop interrupting me damn it!”

“I’m sorry,” Tara stated as the other JT’s eyes flared with energy as she screamed out again.

“Now, where was i?  Oh yeah, this is Daniel McCulloch, he gained his powers from his Indian ancestors. On the day of his birth, his grandmother blessed him with the powers of the bear, hence the name Running Bear,” the other JT stated as he smiled and then moved over to where a woman was suspended as Tara gasped.  “Then we come to Amy Ramsey, Phantasma…”

“What happened to her?”  Tara asked.  “Is—is that her arm at her feet?”

“Why yes, that’s her robotic arm down at her feet,” the other JT replied, smiling as he shook his head.  “I told you to stop interrupting me!”

“I’m sorry,” Tara replied as the other JT’s eyes flared with energy once more as she screamed out again, her torture session lasting longer than the others.  “Please… Please stop!  I—I can’t take any more of this!”

“Now we come to the famous twins… who, in their right mind, would give their children the same damn first name?  I guess we would have to ask the mother of Andrew Brett and Andrew Bradley Claybourne to get that answer,” the other JT stated as Tara smiled weakly.

“He prefers to be called Andy and he prefers to be called Drew!”  JT screamed, stabbing the other JT in the back with his psychic sword as Necroloque floated down behind him.

“You!”  The other JT screamed, moving away from JT and Necroloque quickly as he turned around as the wound in his chest emanated psychic energy from his chest and back.  “How—how are you free right now?”

“Nope, we’re asking the questions now,” JT stated as he looked around.  “It seems you have everyone here, but where is Donna?  Why isn’t she here?”

“She’s not here because I couldn’t find her again,” the other JT replied as he looked up at JT.  “Is that because she went crazy and killed herself or…”

“What did you do to her?”  JT asked, floating closer to the other JT.

“I didn’t do anything to her at all,” the other JT replied.  “She did it to herself.”

“No, you had to do something to her!”  JT screamed, holding his psychic blade out in front of him.

“The only thing I did was remove the psychic blockers you had in her mind, restricting her powers from her use,” the other JT stated with a smile as the psychic energy continued to flare around his wound.

“Oh no, you didn’t!”  JT screamed, shaking his head.

“What’s that for JT?”  Tara asked as JT frowned.

“She—she couldn’t handle all the power she possessed,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “She—she probably went insane and…”

“And killed herself because she couldn’t handle all the voices in her head,” the other JT said with a smile on his face as he got back up on his feet.

“You monster!”  JT screamed, lunging towards the other JT again as he stabbed the psychic sword through his head.

“Oh God, no, the deathblow!”  Necroloque screamed as the other JT screamed out as energy and ribbon flared around JT’s body.

“What—what’s happening?  My—my transformation is coming undone!”  JT screamed out, as he, Tara and the other JT fell to the floor as all the energy cages above flickered and then disappeared.

“Tara, I think you need to do your thing,” Necroloque stated as Tara got up off the floor and then spun around in a circle as her body exploded in light, changing her into Amazon.

“Necroloque, what’s going on here?”  Tara asked, looking at JT and the other JT’s body that lay on the floor.

“I don’t know, but I think we’re about to get some answers,” Necroloque stated, moving over to JT’s body, kneeling down and caressing his face.  “Come on my boy, talk to me… What’s going on here?”

“It—it’s a demonphages,” JT spoke as the energy and ribbon hung off his body.  “It’s a demonphages that was created from my psychic essence that was left behind in Limbo that had mingled with the soul energies of Limbo also.  In a sense, it really was me, just not the flesh and blood me.  I—I did this Uncle, I did this.  I hurt so many people with my anger…”

“No my boy, you didn’t do this,” Necroloque stated as he shook his head, a few tears falling from his eyes.

“Donna, I can’t sense Donna anywhere on the planet,” JT stated as Necroloque’s eyes glowed.

“That’s because she’s not on this planet anymore my boy,” Necroloque stated as JT screamed out as psychic energy emanated around his body, taking on the form of a giant bird as it expanded so much that it enveloped all the people in the area, connecting their minds and souls to one another.

All it once, all the things JT felt was experienced by all the members of the X-Ternals that were in the room with him.  Screaming out, his tears fell as psychic energy set the building on fire.  Moving away from Necroloque, JT moved into a standing position and then reached behind his back, grabbing for air as his scepter appeared.

‘My boy, what are you doing?’  Necroloque telepathically spoke to JT, not getting a response.

“Necroloque, what’s going on?  What’s he doing?”  Tara asked as she and A’Mora moved over to where Necroloque stood, figuring out what was about to happen and then making a move to get to JT, not reaching him in time.

“I can’t allow this… Saturn!  Silent World!”  JT screamed as he threw the scepter into the air as it glowed brightly, the energy bathing everything around them all.

“No!”  Necroloque screamed, flying through the air as fast as he could, grabbing the scepter as he struggled to hold onto it as the energy expelled from it, blinding him, keeping him from seeing what was happening around him.

“JT, what have you done?”  A’Mora asked, reaching him first.

“All of this is my fault,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “None of this would have happened if I’d just stay away from you guys and never met any of you.”

“So, you think destroying the world is going to change that?”  A’Mora asked as JT nodded his head.  “You’re crazier than any of us ever thought!”

“Maybe so, but when I’m done, none of you will know me, never have met me,” JT stated as Necroloque landed down on the floor a few feet away from him.

“My boy, you have released energies that must be stopped,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head.

“Let the world be rewritten without me in it,” JT stated as Tara and A’Mora looked at him strangely.

“You are crazy!”  Tara screamed.  “I didn’t let you turn me into Wonder Woman, so you could just off yourself!”

“You turned into Wonder Woman so you could help people that couldn’t help themselves,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “I can’t be helped anymore.”

“Destroying this world isn’t the answer damn it!”  Tara screamed, grabbing JT by the collar of his shirt and shaking him like a ragdoll.  “Stop your damn scepter before it kills us all!”

“I won’t,” JT stated as everything froze around him and Tara.

“What the hell is going on?”  Tara asked, noticing that things around them had stopped moving.  “We’re still moving, but everything else has stopped.”

“I take it this is one of the Elders’ doing,” JT stated as he got up off the floor as he turned around.  “They don’t want this place destroyed; they are doing what they need to—to keep this place protected.”

“They have a right to do what’s needed to keep this place protected JT,” Tara stated as she looked around as Necroloque appeared next to them as he handed JT his scepter.

“My boy, this belongs to you, but I suggest you undo what you’ve already done,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head and then accepted his scepter as it glowed brightly.

“I’m not going to undo what I’ve done,” JT stated as he shook his head as the ground rumbled underneath them.  “Because of my actions, a demonphages took on my appearance and tried to kill all my friends and succeeded in driving one to kill herself!  That’s unforgiveable damn it!”

“But you aren’t responsible for this my boy,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head.  “You are not responsible for the creation of that demonphages.”

“I might as well be,” JT stated as he shook his head again.  “It was my powers, it came from my domain… It was my anger… My anger caused all of this madness!”

“No my boy, you did not cause this,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head.  “Your anger was created by another factor, a chaos factor that had nothing to do with you.”

“A factor that created a thing that called himself Chaos, used my powers against all of my friends and only the heavens know what he did to…” JT trailed off as psychic images were displayed in the area around him as the other JT’s body dissipated into nothingness.

“Let’s just say he did a good job torturing most of us,” Tara stated as she looked down.  “That thing enjoyed zapping me… I can’t say what he did to the others… Besides, it told me that it turned Hank into a dog.”

“Yes, we know about that,” JT stated, shaking his head.

“Well then, I still can’t tell you more than what he told me, except giving me a brief history on how you met most of the team and how he felt about certain members,” Tara stated as JT’s eyes glowed an eerie purple color as Tara’s glowed the same color, indicating that JT used his powers to link with her mind.

“I remained around here for so long because there are times I feel I have no place else to go, that I don’t have a home elsewhere, but here,” JT stated as he looked at Tara.  “Most of you are my friends and after tonight… I don’t know how long that will last.”

“JT, they are your friends… Because of what happened tonight, that’s not going to change,” Tara stated as people started moving around in the area behind them.

“How do you know that for sure Tara?”  JT asked.  “When I got here, they were all blaming me for what happened… What makes you think they’ll believe me when I tell them that a demonphages was behind all of this?”

“Because we all saw things with our own eyes,” A’Mora stated, walking over to where JT and Tara were.  “We all saw and heard the things that went on.  When you connected with us telepathically, we all felt what you felt… We all saw what you saw… When you stabbed your psychic sword through its head, we saw what truly happened.”

“And I still don’t know what to think about what happened to Donna,” JT stated as he looked down as a few tears fell from his eyes.

“You didn’t do it JT,” A’Mora stated, rubbing his shoulders.  “You have to keep in mind that you didn’t do it, but the demonphages did.”

“I know that, but it had my face, my powers,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “When you guys think about all the things it did, you would see my face, not someone…”

“As I said JT, we all know the truth here,” A’Mora stated, leaning in and giving JT a hug as JT looked over her shoulder to see Drew and Andy moving towards them.

“There’s the truth and then there’s the things that happened with all of you,” JT stated as he looked over at Drew and then turned around and looked at Kevin.  “I don’t know what I can do to…”

“There’s nothing anyone can do,” Necroloque stated as he stepped up to JT and looked at him.  “You’re the only one that needs to do something right now.  You need to take back that energy that you released into the universe, before things unfreeze and the world ends.”

“I—I don’t know if I can,” JT stated as he looked down.

“Think about all of us,” Hank stated as he walked up next to JT.  “Thank about all the things none of us would get to do, if the world is destroyed!”

“Think about the lives we would never have with the ones we love,” Andy said as he stepped up next to A’Mora, taking her hand as he looked over at JT and then at Drew.

“Think about our future,” Drew said as he took JT’s hand.  “Think about what we mean to each other.”

“Think about how good life can be, with you here, living it with your friends my boy,” Necroloque stated as he patted JT on the back.

“Okay,” JT stated as he held his scepter up in the air as his eyes glowed brightly.  “Saturn!  Soul, Eternal, Change-Up!  Wise ones of the universe, give me the wisdom, the strength, and the power I need to undo what I have done!”

THE END… For Now At Least

The Chaos Factor – Chapter 7

Chapter 7 — Is It the End or What?

Mar 15, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – X-Ternals’ Compound – The Infirmary

“Stop!”  Everyone heard, but didn’t see the person the voice belonged to.

“That voice,” Hank said, looking around.  “It sounded like Michura, but—but no one has seen or heard from her since the other night, after the fake comet sighting caper.”

“Now now, where do you freaks think you’re running off to?  You know I’m not going to let you get away from me.  I’m all power now!  I’ve told you fools many times before that I would kill all of you and I meant what I said,” JT stated, his eyes crackling with energy while glowing an eerie red color.

“No!  I’m not going to let you do such a thing my boy,” Necroloque stated, waving his hand in JT’s direction, using his magic to wrap JT in eldritch bands, holding him tight.

“Let me go old man!”  JT screamed, his eyes glowing brightly as he struggled to get free.  “Let me go or I’ll sear the flesh from your bones with my powers!”

“No my boy, I’m not going to let you go,” Necroloque stated as the area filled with water, catching all of them by surprise and disrupting Necroloque’s concentration as the eldritch bands around JT’s body dissipated.  “What’s happening?  What’s with all this water?”

“Michura,” Hank spoke, looking around.  “Michura!”

(<SPLINGK>)

“Star Heart Power, Transform!”  Joey screamed, appearing in a blinding flash of light as he transformed into Legacy StarHeart.

“What the… another one,” Necroloque stated, looking at Joey strangely as he looked over at JT.  “Why am I the last to know when a new chosen one is discovered?”

“Hmph, I take it JT didn’t tell you about this guy,” A’Mora stated as the light faded away from Joey’s body.

“Why am I here?”  Joey asked, looking around.  “I—I was at my hotel, in my room, minding my own damn business when I heard this voice telling me that I needed to be here and then the next thing I know, here I am.”

“Hmmmm, it couldn’t have been Divine,” Necroloque stated, looking down as JT’s eyes glowed as his body floated upward.  “Oh no you don’t!”

“Stop!”  Everyone heard again, but didn’t see the person the voice belonged to.

“Michura, if that’s you, please show yourself if you can,” Hank stated, looking around again.

“I don’t think it’s Atlantis,” Joey stated as Hank looked at him.

“You look good in that costume by the way,” Hank stated with a smile on his face.

“There’s no time for that,” Joey said, looking over at Hank as he shook his head.  “I see that you’re okay, after being knocked on your ass by him.”

“I’m fine,” Hank stated, looking down.  “Thanks for bringing that back up.”

“You’re welcome,” Joey replied as JT floated down to the floor.

“So, it’s all true then… Joey is like JT.  He looks really cool in that costume.  He looks like one of the Legacy Chosen members that I’ve actually gotten the chance to see,” Barbara stated, staring at Joey.

“Hello Joey,” JT spoke, stepping closer to Joey as Joey stepped backwards.  “I heard that you left here in a huff.”

“Yeah, I left here, you tried to kill your best friend,” Joey stated as JT shook his head.

“No, I didn’t’ do that, it wasn’t me,” JT stated as his eyes stopped glowing.  “I haven’t been here since the beginning of February.  I haven’t been here to do anything to cause you to leave here in a huff.”

“That’s a lie, you—you struck Hank with some kind of energy,” Joey stated as JT shook his head.

“No Joey, that wasn’t me,” JT stated as he looked down, shaking his head again.  “I—I can see the images in your mind, but that person… the thing that was with you, while you were here, it wasn’t me.”

“It looked like you, sounded like you, acted like you… it was you,” Joey stated as JT sighed and then looked over at Necroloque and then back to Joey.

“I’m really sorry Joey, but that thing wasn’t me,” JT stated as he turned away from Joey with a sad expression on his face.

“I don’t believe you, you’re Demonloque right now.  Where is the real JT?!”  Joey demanded as JT turned around quickly.

“No, you still have me confused with someone else.  I may be wearing the garb of Demonloque, but I’m pretty much me… I’m myself,” JT stated as his right hand crackled with energy as a psychic dagger appeared in the left hand.

“Come on my boy, what’s on your mind right now?”  Necroloque asked as A’Mora and Hank stepped away from JT and Joey.

“I—I might not know how to use the powers that I have, but I’m not going to let you scare me here.  I’m not going to allow you to hurt me or anyone else here!”  Joey screamed, stepping backwards, bumping into Hank.

“Look, you’re not going to change what’s already happened here, so you might as well be quiet and just stay out of the way,” JT stated, glaring at Joey as he walked past him.  “This stuff is out of your league anyway, so just go on back to wherever it was you came from.  I think we can handle this ourselves.”

“No!  Star Heart Reflection!”  Joey screamed as beams of energy projected from his eyes, zapping JT, knocking him backwards against the wall.  “I’m not going to give you the chance to attack me or anyone else here, the way you attacked Hank that night!”

“Oh here we go,” A’Mora stated, shaking her head as JT got up off the floor and then dusted off his clothing as he turned and walked towards Joey.

“Stop this Joey, you don’t want to do this.  Don’t be trying to hurt me,” JT stated as Necroloque watched the interaction between the two men.

“This isn’t going to end well,” Hank stated, shaking his head.

“It’s about to end right now,” JT stated as he spun around in a circle as energy and ribbon flared around his body.  “Star Prism Power!”

“Oh great, it’s really about to hit the fan now,” Hank said as he looked around.  “Joey man, you might as well give it up and just surrender.”

“I am Legacy Saturn!”  JT screamed, standing before Joey as his eyes crackled with energy.  “Don’t make me end this Joey.  Please don’t make me do this.”

“I—I thought you were… I thought you were Demonloque,” Joey stated as he looked down.  “I—I was trying… I thought… I was trying to stop your evil side.”

“Yet, I told you multiple times that I wasn’t Demonloque and that I wasn’t the person or the thing that had attacked Hank, yet you didn’t listen to me at all,” JT stated, shaking his head as Joey looked down.

“So, if you aren’t the person that attacked Hank, then that means you’re not the person I made love with,” Joey spoke as JT sighed, looked down and then shook his head.  “Oh God!  Who in the hell was I with?”

(<ZAMF>)

“That would have been me fat boy,” They all heard as the other JT appeared in the room as Hank and A’Mora both jumped backwards and then covered their mouths.

“You!”  Joey screamed, taking on a fighting stance as he raised his hand as the other JT shook his head and then waved his hand in Joey’s direction, using his powers to send Joey crashing into the wall head first.

“No you, the pathetic weakling,” the other JT spoke as JT, Necroloque, A’Mora, Barbara and Hank watched.

“Who are you?”  JT asked, stepping closer to the other JT.

“No need to ask, I am you,” the other JT answered with a smirk.

“No, you’re not me, you can’t be,” JT stated, reaching out to touch the other JT as his hand sparkled with energy.

“No my boy, don’t you dare touch it!”  Necroloque screamed as JT snatched his hand back as the other JT smiled and then turned his attention to Necroloque.

“I’m getting really tired of your meddling Lord,” the other JT said with a sly smile on his face.  “I guess I’ll have to take care of you like I took care of Donna, Drew, Kevin, Paul and Michura.”

“What!  What did you do to them?”  Hank asked as A’Mora had to hold him back.  “Where’s Donna?”

“Like you really care about Donna, you’re a faggot!”  The other JT yelled as Hank shook his head.

“Where’s Donna!”  Hank screamed.

“She’s around here somewhere,” the other JT replied, laughing as he waved his hand at Hank dismissively.  “But I’m sure she won’t be any use to any of you.  You see, her mind is not around here with her.”

“What!  What is that supposed to mean?”  Hank asked, looking at the other JT strangely as realization kicked in.  “Why you lousy…”

“I’m not too keen about you people making too much noise around here,” the other JT said as Hank’s mouth disappeared from his face.  “Does anyone else want to lose the ability to speak?  If so, please speak up and I’ll be happy to remedy that situation for you.”

“What in the hell are you doing?”  JT asked, his eyes glowing brightly.  “Oh my God, what have you done to Drew, Kevin and the others?  I—I can see the remains of what you did to Kevin!”

“Apparently you didn’t listen to me.  I just said I wasn’t too keen of people making loud noises!”  The other JT screamed as he waved his hand in JT’s direction as JT’s eyes glowed brightly as the other JT was thrown against the opposite end of the room, crashing into the wall.  “You—you were able to touch me… how?”

“I can telekinetically touch anything,” JT stated as he floated backwards.  “I think it’s time for an upgrade around here!”

“No my boy,” Necroloque said as he shook his head as JT turned around and then reached behind his back, grabbing for air as his scepter appeared.

“I must do this Uncle… Saturn!  Soul Eternal Change Up!”  JT screamed as energy and ribbon flared around his body as his clothing changed as his body glowed brightly as the other JT got up off the floor.

“I’m not going to allow you to stop me Prince!”  The other JT screamed, waving his hand in JT’s direction.

“Saturn!  Silent…” JT started, but stopped in mid-sentence.

“That’s right, there will be silence,” the other JT spoke as he held his hand out at JT as it seemed he was frozen in place.

“What in the hell is happening?”  Hank asked, looking up from the spot he was hiding from under the exam table.

“Chaos,” Necroloque stated, floating up towards the other JT.  “You must stop what you’re doing, before you destroy this plane of existence.  Your use of magic and energy is disrupting the spiritual balance of this plane.  Please stop before…”

“Never!”  The other JT snapped, waving his other hand at Necroloque, sending him crashing down to the floor.

“Look Chaos, you can’t keep doing this.  The spiritual plane is becoming fluid with your use of magic and energy,” Celeste spoke, appearing near the other JT.  “You must…”

“No Malaphyion, I’m not going to stop, you will!”  The other JT snapped, his eyes crackling with energy.  “You won’t be controlling the outcome of anything here today.  Your magic can’t save you or anyone else here tonight!”

“Chaos please… You must stop what you’re doing,” Celeste stated as her eyes glowed.  “If you continue what you’re doing, there won’t be a world for any of…”

“Silence!”  The other JT screamed, waving his hand at Celeste, using his powers to knock her down to the floor as her mouth disappeared from her face.  “There will be silence here!”

“Leave her alone!”  A’Mora screamed as a crystal-like substance appeared around her body as the other JT shook his head.

“As I said, there will be silence here!  She no longer has a mouth to speak spells.  There’s no way for any of you to stop me,” the other JT stated with a smile.  “I’ve already stopped the Prince and I have silenced all of your heavy hitters.  What are you going to do now X-Ternals?”

“Oh no, what’re we going to do now?”  Barbara asked, looking around as Hank shook his head as A’Mora stood behind her crystal-like shield, protecting herself from the other JT’s powers.  “It seems that JT and his uncle, working together was our strongest ploy, but we need something else.”

“There isn’t anything else,” A’Mora stated as Barbara shook her head and then lashed out at the other JT with her ice powers.  “No!”

“You bitch!  Do you really think your ice bolts are going to stop me?  I have survived far worse attacks than this!  Sit down in your little corner and don’t move from there!”  The other JT snapped, waving his hand at Barbara, using his powers to zap her, sending her body crashing into the wall, shattering into many pieces as she lay lifeless.

“Guys, I think we better make a run for it here,” A’Mora stated, grabbing Hank’s hand, helping him off the floor as scratched at his face where his mouth was supposed to be.

“Hey now, I thought I turned you into a puppy dog once,” the other JT said as he snapped his fingers as Hank’s body glowed as A’Mora let out a blood-curdling scream as the glow around Hank’s body disappeared and Hank was once again a dog.  “There’s nothing you people can really do to stop me, I have already defeated all of you!”

“Please Chaos, please tell us what it is that you want,” A’Mora stated, walking around JT and got in front of the other JT as she watched how JT and his uncle floated in mid-air, not moving.

“That’s very simple woman, I want everything and I want nothing,” the other JT stated as his eyes crackled with energy.  “I know what you’re trying to do here A’Mora Asland.  You can’t do what you’re planning.  I know every possible plan that you can try to use against me.  I am a telepath!”

“Yes, we all know that you’re a telepath Chaos,” A’Mora stated, sighing.  “is that why you hurt Donna and Drew, because they are telepaths too?”

“No!”  The other JT screamed as his eyes flared with energy as A’Mora went flying across the room, knocking her into a wall as she slid down it to the floor, the sound of bones breaking could be heard.

“Owwww!”  A’Mora screamed, leaning up on her elbows a bit as she tried to move into a sitting position on the floor as the blood poured from a wound on her side.  “Why are you hurting us like this?”

“I’m hurting you all for the years that you all hurt me,” the other JT stated as A’Mora looked at him strangely.

“How could any of us hurt you, when we don’t even know you?”  A’Mora asked, coughing up some blood as she groaned and then lay down on the floor.

“You all know me very well bitch!”  The other JT screamed, zapping A’Mora with a bolt of energy, sending her body slamming into the wall again as she groaned and her eyes closed.

Somewhere Else in the Compound

Tara Kent’s POV

“What in the hell is going on around this place?”  I asked, walking through the corridors, trying to find some signs of life.

Is there anyone alive in this place?  The place is dark, darker than some of the caves in Limbo I’ve seen.  This place looks like a bomb went off in here.  Hell, if it wasn’t for that big ass hole in the damn exterior wall, I don’t think I would’ve been able to get into this place, since I couldn’t raise anyone on the communicator to allow me authorization to the entrance on the other side of town.

“What happened in this place?  It seems… feels like I’ve been walking around here forever.  Where is everyone at?”  I asked, pressing buttons on the communicator, but still, nobody responded.

Damn, is this thing even working right now or what?  I’ve tried contacting all the active members of the team and no one is answering me.  What could be going on right now, to keep someone from answering the damn line?  If something is going on, shouldn’t someone be answering this thing to inform others of what’s happening?

“This all seems spooky to me… I feel like there’s a whole lot wrong in this place,” I said aloud as I stopped at JT’s living quarters, pressed the button to open the door and then looked around inside, but no one was there.

I’m really not liking the way I feel right now.  When I feel like this, it normally means that there’s something terribly wrong and I end up getting busy as Wonder Woman.  Walking down the corridor, I checked through all the other living quarters and I didn’t see anyone in those either.  It’s the middle of the damn night.  Where are these people at?  I checked the command center when I felt through that damn hole in the wall and no one was there either.  Hell, there wasn’t any clues to what actually happened to produce the giant hole in the wall and why this place looks the way it does.

“I’m shocked that no one was on monitor duty,” I said, stopping at the end of the corridor.  “That’s probably the reason why no one would let me in, because they didn’t know I was down there, trying to get in.”

I’ve checked all the places that you would expect to find people in and I’ve come up with nothing.  They’re not in the command center, the combat room or in the entertainment theatre.  What’s going on around this place?  The way things feel around me, it’s like this place has been deserted and hasn’t been inhabited for some time.  I know that can’t be the case here, I was just here the other day.  If the team moved someplace else, I’m sure someone would’ve told me.

“I guess they would’ve told me if they were… Hey, I haven’t checked the infirmary yet,” I said, turning around as I headed towards the elevator as the communicator thing started blinking.

Hmmm, why is the communicator blinking like that?  Is that a sign that I should recognize?  The indicator light is blinking, but I don’t know why.  Oh well, I still haven’t checked the infirmary yet, so I’m headed there to see what I find.

A Few Minutes Later – The Infirmary

“Well hello there Wonder Woman,” Tara Kent heard as she entered the room.  “You should know by now that you can’t sneak up on a telepath.”

“I wasn’t trying to sneak up on you J,” Tara stated, walking around JT to see what was happening in the room as she stopped in her tracks and then covered her mouth.  “There are two of… What in the hell is going on here J?”

“No, it’s not hell yet, but almost,” the other JT stated, floating down to the floor as he approached Tara slowly.  “I’m so happy to see you Wonder Woman.  Are you ready to be added to my collection?”

“Am I ready to be added to your collection of what?”  Tara asked, looking around as the other JT pointed up as she looked up to see all the members of the team, suspended above the two of them in what looked like cages made of energy.  “JT, what’s going on here?”

“I’m not your precious JT, I am Chaos!  Don’t you like the name, I like it!”  The other JT screamed as the area shook and vibrated as Tara flinched backwards a bit.

“Okay Chaos, what’s going on here?  Why is everyone up there, suspended in those cages like that?”  Tara asked.

“They’re up there, because that’s where I put them,” the other JT responded, his eyes crackling with energy.  “Pretty soon, you’ll be up there with them.”

“But why are you doing this Chaos?”  Tara asked, backing away from the other JT as he smiled and then walked towards her.  “Please stop this, whatever the hell this is.”

“I can’t stop this,” the other JT stated as his eyes started to flare with energy.

“Why can’t you?  What have you done to them?  Who are all of those people anyway?”  Tara asked, not knowing everyone that was held prisoner.

“My dear, those people are the X-Ternals… or I would like to call them, the people that have caused the Prince to be taken away from his true desires, to handle mundane duties—duties that didn’t allow him to experience life to the fullest, the way he should have,” the other JT stated as Tara looked at him strangely.

“But who are all of these people Chaos?”  Tara asked, looking around again.  “All these people, they can’t all be members of the X-Ternals.”

“But they are Wonder Woman,” the other JT stated as he waved his hand at Tara as she moved closer to him as the two of them floated into the air.

“You’re hurting me,” Tara spoke as the other JT smiled as they continued floating upward.

“We’ll start here,” the other JT stated as he stopped in front of the first cage.  “This is Jennifer Blake, also known as Amaryllis.  She met the Prince a long time ago when you all were kids.  She ended up a friend of his, mainly because her mother was abusive to her and the Prince felt a kinship to her.”

“Owww,” Tara groaned as the other JT smiled again.

“This is Michura Hino, an Asian young woman that has seen too much hurt in her life.  After hanging around the Prince and learning to use her powers—powers she gained from being experimented on by her father and other men that worked for him, she took on the name Atlantis, after the Atlantis Corporation that shut down the company that ended her father’s life,” the other JT explained with an evil smirk on his face.  “If she had never splashed down at his feet, while he was at the beach that summer the two of them met, she wouldn’t be a part of his life right now.  If it hadn’t been for the thoughts of her being sexually abused by those men, calling out to the Prince, he probably wouldn’t have given two cents about her life.”

“That’s not true,” Tara stated as the other JT turned to face her.

“That is true,” the other JT stated.  “He was trying to have a good time, but he couldn’t do that because her thoughts of being sexually abused by others called out to him.  He had no choice but to help her get away from that terror, regardless of the terrors he’s faced in his own life.”

“JT enjoys helping other people,” Tara stated as the other JT shook his head.

“That’s the problem,” the other JT stated, waving his hand as the two of them moved on to the next person.  “This is Wanda Langley, the bitch that tried to use her magicks to get rid of me.  Someone should have told her to stop while she was ahead of the game.  Isn’t it sad that she shares her soul with another…”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about Chaos,” Tara stated as the other JT’s eyes glowed as she screamed out.  “I… My mind can’t handle all of the images, make them stop… Please make them stop!”

“Next, we have Prudence Rast, what a prude she can be, but you probably know her as Bliss.  Bliss came into the Prince’s life because she thought he was a straight man and she was going to use her powers against him, to get his money.  Bad move on her part,” the other JT stated, shaking his head.  “Someone should have told her that the Prince likes dick way too much to ever change over.”

“You don’t have to be crass about this Chaos,” Tara stated as the other JT shook his head as she screamed out.

“Don’t interrupt me while I’m experiencing a moment here!”  The other JT screamed out as his eyes glowed brightly as Tara screamed out again.

To Be Continued…

The Chaos Factor – Chapter 6

Chapter 6 — Time, The Clock of the Heart

 Mar 15, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – X-Ternals’ Compound – The Command Room

“This is all just pudding in the fucking dish,” Hank said, shaking his head as he walked into the room and sat down at the table.  “Why in the hell is this shit happening?  What could’ve happened to…”

“Are you seriously asking that?”  Barbara asked, looking across the table at Hank as she rubbed at her head.  “This all has something to do with the things that happened with Marek.”

“Marek’s gone and he’s no longer within range to control anyone around, JT said so.  From what JT said, Marek won’t be bothering anyone again for a very long time,” Wanda stated as she sat down across from Barbara.

“Yeah right,” Hank said as Wanda glared at him.

“Marek’s telepathic hold on everyone ceased when he was banished by JT’s uncle,” Wanda stated.

“And you always believed what he said.  You’re such a fool Wanda,” Hank stated as Wanda stood up from the table as Hank moved backwards to avoid her grabbing claw.  “Stay back Wanda, I’m not scared of you!”

“You two need to cut that shit out!”  Barbara yelled, shaking her head.  “I was almost killed today!  We have a big problem to deal with and we don’t have time for this petty squabbling and bull…”

(<ZAMF>)

“Please excuse the intrusion friends of the Prince of Limbo,” Necroloque spoke as he appeared in the room.

“What the hell!”  Telly screamed, jumping up from his seat, taking on a fighting stance.

“Stand down Helix, this is Necroloque, JT’s uncle,” Wanda stated as she stood and then bowed her head as Necroloque shook his head as the others around the table just looked at her strangely.

“That’s not needed,” Necroloque spoke as A’Mora stood up and then walked around the table.

“Are you here to help your nephew kick our asses”  A’Mora asked, standing next to Necroloque.

“Young woman…” Necroloque spoke as A’Mora shook her head and then glared at him.

“First, he goes after his mother to kill her and now he’s come after all of us, trying to kill us too!  What’s going on here man?”  A’Mora asked.

“Hold your tongue girl,” Wanda stated, popping A’Mora in the back of her head as A’Mora turned around quickly, zapping her with a magical energy bolt, knocking her backwards to the floor.  “You need to learn respect for…”

“Ms. Langley, that’s not…” Necroloque said as Telly stepped closer to him, looking him up and down as he walked around him.  “Is there something wrong with you boy?”

“So, you’re JT’s uncle,” Telly stated, looking at Necroloque strangely.

“Yes, I’m his uncle,” Necroloque responded as Telly shook his head.

“Why are you dressed like that?  Are you some kind of whacko too?”  Telly asked as Wanda and A’Mora both shook their heads.

“That will be enough out of you,” Necroloque spoke, waving his hand in Telly’s direction as a portal opened under Telly’s feet and he fell through it, screaming.  “We don’t have time for this madness.”

“What madness don’t we have time for?  Why are you here?”  A’Mora asked, looking at Necroloque again.

“There’s something wrong here, but it’s not what you all think,” Necroloque stated, waving his hand as a crystal orb appeared in his hand.

“What is it that we think here?”  Barbara asked, looking over at Necroloque.

“My boy isn’t behind who has attacked you,” Necroloque stated as A’Mora and Wanda looked at him strangely.  “The person or thing that attacked you is not my nephew.”

“If that’s not JT, who in the hell is it?”  Hank asked, walking closer to Necroloque as a portal opened in the room as Telly appeared with an angry look on his face.

“I trust you will keep your mouth closed from here on out, until someone asks for your words,” Necroloque stated as Telly’s eyes widened and then he stepped backwards away from the man.  “Back to what I was saying… The person or thing that has attacked all of you isn’t my nephew.”

“If it’s not JT, then who is it?”  Hank asked, looking at Necroloque again.  “The person looks like him, they talk like him and they have the same powers as him!”

“But it’s not my nephew that’s attacked you,” Necroloque stated as he waved his hand over the crystal orb as it glowed, projecting images to all of them where JT was.  “JT isn’t the one that’s behind this, I put him some place where he won’t bother anyone, until I’ve figured out how to solve some problems among our numbers.”

“Where is that place?”  Hank asked.

“I—I put him in a hospital and…” Necroloque stated as A’Mora shook her head.

“You know, you people are really fucked up!”  A’Mora screamed as Necroloque looked over at her strangely as her hair changed color.  “First his mother slash aunts tried to have him cured of being gay and now you’ve gone and put him in a damn hospital!  What in the hell is he in a hospital for?  He’s not sick!”

“I—I put him there to try to help him deal with the current situation,” Necroloque stated as he looked down.

“And what situation is that man?”  A’Mora asked as she looked over at Necroloque with an angry look on her face.

“You were there with him.  You helped Venus, Earth and Pluto save him.  You saw how angry he was when you all got to him. You saw what that anger did to him and almost did to this planet,” Necroloque stated as a tear rolled down his cheek.  “My boy almost destroyed this planet because of his anger, hurt and pain.”

“Yeah, I saw that, but nothing more than that because I mysteriously appeared back here,” A’Mora stated, crossing her arms across her chest as she tapped her foot on the floor.  “No one said ‘thank you’ or anything, I was just whisked away, like some damn unwanted trash on the street, blowing in the damn wind!”

“That’s not how…” Necroloque stated as A’Mora shook her head.

“So, why did you stop him from doing what he was going to do?  Why in the hell did you release him on the rest of us?”  A’Mora asked.

“I didn’t release him on anyone,” Necroloque stated, shaking his head as he held up the orb again.  “When I sent you away, I sent him to Limbo to try to calm him down, but I wasn’t successful in that task.  The more I tried to calm him down, the angrier he got.  He fought me hard and wouldn’t stop.  So, I—I had no choice but to bind his powers and lock him in the place he’s in now.  I had no…”

“You people are just… Crazy!”  A’Mora snapped as Wanda shook her head.

“Young lady…”  Necroloque stated as A’Mora shook her head again.

“You did the same thing that his aunt did to him!”  A’Mora snapped as Hank watched both of them with a strange expression on his face.  “So, what you did to him, is that the end result?”

“No young lady, that’s not the end result,” Necroloque stated as his eyes glowed.  “I’m trying to tell you all that JT’s here in this hospital; he’s not the one that attacked you.”

“If it’s not JT, then who in the hell is it that kicked our asses earlier?”  Hank asked, moving closer to Necroloque.

“I don’t know, but that’s why I’m here to help all of you,” Necroloque stated as Barbara looked down.

“So, if JT’s in a hospital, what’s going to happen to him when he gets out of the hospital?”  A’Mora asked, looking down.  “Is he going to start the whole, I’m going to destroy those that hurt me and go after you too?”

“Hopefully, that won’t be the case,” Necroloque stated as A’Mora shook her head again.

“You people are just heartless,” A’Mora stated as she turned and walked towards the door.  “I want no part of this madness.”

“A’Mora… Wait!”  Hank yelled, running out of the room behind her.

“It seems I’ve upset the Princess of Endor,” Necroloque stated as Barbara, Telly, Andy and Wanda looked at him strangely.

“She—she’s a real princess?”  Andy asked, looking up at Necroloque as he sniffled as some tears rolled down his cheek.

“Yes, she’s a real princess,” Necroloque replied as there was a loud crash outside of the room as Andy took off running.

A Moment Earlier – Down the Corridor

“Oh no, he—it’s here,” A’Mora stated, covering her mouth as she backed away as JT came into view with an evil smirk on his face.

“Oh come now Illusioness, what’s wrong?”  JT asked, floating closer to A’Mora, descending down to the floor in front of her.  “I’m no illusion baby, this is the real thing.”

“Stay back!”  A’Mora screamed, holding her hand out in front of her, using her powers to create a magical shield as a staff appeared in her other hand.

“Oh, like that puny little thing can stop me,” JT said as he waved his hand at the magical shield and then walked through it.  “Your magicks can’t stand against mine.  You are a pathetic ant compared to me, you small and insignificant woman!”

“Keep away from her!”  Hank screamed, flying towards JT as JT waved his hand, using his powers to slam Hank into the corridor wall, putting a big dent there.

“It seems some people never learn their place,” JT said, smirking as he looked in Hank’s direction.  “I guess he’s really a dumb puppy dog… I might as well turn him into one.”

“What… No!”  A’Mora screamed as JT’s eyes crackled with energy as Hank’s body glowed brightly as Hank’s body transformed into a small hound dog.  “No!”

“Oh yes, isn’t he cute?”  JT said, laughing maniacally as he moved towards A’Mora.  “Now what should I do with you?”

“Sorry, but I’m not about to let you do anything to her!”  Andy yelled as JT grabbed A’Mora by her hair, yanking her backwards and slamming her into the floor.

“Like you can actually stop me Speedy,” JT said as Andy stopped in place, moved and then turned around.

“Sorry, wrong person,” Andy said as he looked at JT and then took off running down the corridor as he stopped in mid trip, turned around and then ran towards JT as JT held out his hand, stopping him quickly.  “Ugggghhhhh!”

“Oh no, I have the right person,” JT said with an evil smile on his face as he floated to where Andy lay on the floor and then grabbed him by his throat as he floated into the air.

“Let… Me… Go…”  Andy managed to speak as JT shook his head and then tossed him down to the floor, using his powers to slam Andy down hard, repeating the process multiple times.

“Stop this!”  Necroloque yelled as he and the others arrived in the corridor.

“Well hello there Lord,” JT said as Barbara looked at him and then looked around.

“Oh God, he took out Hank, A’Mora and Andy,” Barbara stated as JT smiled and then waved his hand as he disappeared from the area.  “Where in the hell did he go to now?”

“It’s not gone, it’s still here,” Necroloque stated as his eyes glowed.

“You mean, he’s still here,” Barbara stated as Telly, Paul, Laura, Tyler, Wanda and Celeste joined them in the corridor.  “How are we going to stop this man, if his own uncle can’t stop him?”

“See, this is why we should be taking care of our own and not relying on outside help,” Telly stated as Necroloque looked at him again and then shook his head as Telly stepped backwards.

“What are we supposed to be doing here Telly, since you know it all… Come on, tell us what we’re supposed to be doing here,” Barbara stated as she looked over at Telly.  “How are we going to stop JT with just us?  He’s already taken out most of the active team.”

“It just means we need to call others in to help us out,” Telly stated, looking around.  “I’m sure we can…”

“Do you really think any one of us can stand against him?”  Barbara asked, looking down.  “We need to just give up before he takes the rest of us out.”

“Well, with that kind of damn attitude, we have no choice but to be taken out.  He’s already done something to Donna.  Nobody can find her and I haven’t heard from Michura or Kalya,” Telly stated as Hank barked and then wagged his tail.  “And what in the hell are we going to do about this damn dog?”

“Ah… Did Hank turn into a dog on his own, using his own powers or what?”  Barbara asked, looking around.

“If Hank changed himself into a dog, I’m sure he could change himself back, but I believe this to be JT’s doing,” Celeste stated as Hank barked again and then walked over to her, sitting at her feet as he looked up at her as he barked again.

“This is just freaky,” Telly said as Necroloque knelt down in front of Hank, waved his hand in front of Hank’s face and then stepped back up as Hank’s body glowed brightly as his body started to transform.

“You will be a dog no more,” Necroloque stated as Hank’s body stopped transforming and he changed back into his human form, revealing his true image.

“Hank, is that you?”  Barbara asked as Necroloque turned away from them and then waved his hands over A’Mora and then Andy’s body as both people opened their eyes, looking around quickly.

“Oh man, what happened to me?”  Andy asked, sitting up on the floor as he rubbed at his head and then got up.

“It seems you were a victim of the new and improved JT,” Telly replied, looking over at Andy and then helping him away from Necroloque.

“There’s something wrong,” A’Mora stated, looking around as she shook her head.

“What do you mean there’s something wrong?  That’s really an understatement around here with all that’s going on girl,” Barbara stated with a frown on her face.

“No, there’s really something wrong… There’s something wrong with JT,” A’Mora stated, looking over at Necroloque.  “He—he’s really enjoying using his powers the way he is.  It… It’s like he’s being turned on by it all.”

“Are you trying to say our boy is jerking off to hurting us?”  Telly asked as A’Mora and Barbara both shook their heads.

“Sometimes, I wonder if he thinks before he speaks,” Tyler stated as he shook his head.

“This guy has no kind of tact at all,” Wanda stated as she waved her hand in Telly’s direction, using her powers to place an eldritch band around his mouth, stopping him from talking as he struggled to remove the band with his hand from his mouth.  “Sorry, I’m not letting that off until you learn to still your tongue.”

“Thank you, I couldn’t have done it better myself,” Necroloque stated, grabbing his head as he dropped to his knees.

“Are you okay sir?”  Wanda asked, rushing to Necroloque’s side.

“There’s something else wrong,” Necroloque spoke as Celeste stepped over to the two of them.

“No, that’s really an understatement,” Celeste stated as there was a strange phenomenon in the room as JT appeared and then another JT appeared.

“Hello again Lord,” JT said with a smile.

“What in the hell… There’s two of them!”  Hank screamed.

“Uncle, is that you?”  The second JT asked, rushing over to where Necroloque was on the floor and then knelt down to him.

“How did you get here my boy?”  Necroloque asked.

“I—I was at the hospital in bed and he—he appeared in the room.  He grabbed me and said there was something I needed to see.  He—he said that we had some place else to be, that I didn’t belong in the hospital and that once I came with him, I would know what I should do,” the second JT stated.  “He said that there was a spell on me and that someone here tried to kill me.  Is that true Uncle?”

“Go ahead, tell him!”  A’Mora screamed, standing over Necroloque as Celeste’s eyes glowed.

“They’re not supposed to exist at the same time, in the same place,” Celeste stated as she pointed at both JTs.  “They’re both drawing energy from the same power source.”

“A power source that is Limbo,” Necroloque stated as his eyes glowed.  “One of them is not the real Prince and the other is just a performer on a stage, set up by I don’t know who.”

“How could something like this happen?”  The second JT asked as the first JT raised his hands, using his powers to create a cosmic flash bomb, throwing everyone in the area through the wall and outside to the ground.

“Who cares how it happened, it did and now you’re all dead!”  The first JT said, laughing as he disappeared as the others lay on the ground.

A Day Later – New York City, NY – The Park (Gay Bar)

“So, what’re we doing here babe?”  Drew Claybourne asked as he and JT walked into the building.

“We’re here because you said you wanted to have some fun with me, so here we are,” JT stated as the two of them walked over to the bar.

“But baby… We—we’re not old enough to be here,” Drew stated as he looked at JT.

“Don’t worry about that babe, I’ve got that covered too,” JT stated, smiling evilly.

“No baby, don’t use your powers that way,” Drew stated as JT’s eyes sparkled with energy as the bartender turned around and then looked at the two of them.

“What can I get for you two hot boys?”  The bartender asked, looking at JT with a smile on his face.

“I would like a Vodka and cranberry on the rocks,” JT requested as Drew looked at him strangely.  “How about you Drew?”

“I—I’ll just have a cola,” Drew stated, looking down.

“Come on handsome, is that really all you’re going to have?”  JT asked, smiling at Drew.

“Yeah,” Drew replied as the bartender smiled and then started preparing their drinks.

“Come on Drew, you have to let your hair down some time,” JT stated, pulling Drew close and then kissing his mouth.

“Baby no, we shouldn’t be doing that in here, like this… Someone would see,” Drew said as he looked around quickly.

“Good, let them all see, it’s a gar bar silly,” JT stated as Drew looked at him strangely again.  “This is where people like us, go to have a really good time.”

“How did you find this place baby?”  Drew asked, looking around as he stopped, noticing two guys in the corner kissing as he tapped JT on the shoulder.  “Oh God baby, it’s two guys kissing.  We’re in trouble here baby.  Someone’s going to catch us and try to lock us up.”

“We’re not in trouble babe.  No one is going to do anything to us,” JT stated, leaning in and kissing Drew’s lips as the bartender placed their drinks in front of them.

“Oh God, he saw us,” Drew said as he pulled back from JT in a hurry and then looked down.

“That’ll be seven fifty,” the bartender stated as JT smiled and then took a plain piece of paper from his pocket, tapped it with his finger as the paper changed into a twenty-dollar bill.

“Thanks man, you can keep the change,” JT stated, handing the paper to the man as the man smiled and then walked away.

“That wasn’t real money baby,” Drew said, looking at JT closely.  “What’s going on here?  You—you’re never this careless with the use of your powers.  What has gotten into you?”

“Nothing has gotten into me at all Drew.  I just want us to have a good time babe, don’t you?” JT asked, looking at Drew closely as his eyes sparkled with energy.

“Of course I do baby, but not at the expense of you using your powers the way you are,” Drew stated, looking JT in the face.  “I love you baby, but I don’t want your soul…”

“You shouldn’t be worried about my soul Drew, you should be worried about your own,” JT stated, smiling evilly again as he snapped his fingers as Drew disappeared.

“Hey!”  The bartender yelled, rushing over to the bar where JT stood.  “What just happened to your buddy?  How did he leave like that?  Are you two freaky, like those people they talk about on the TV?”

“I suggest you watch your mouth guy,” JT said as he smiled again.  “That’s the perfect idea.”

“What,” the guy said as JT’s eyes glowed as the man’s mouth disappeared from his face.

“That’s so much better… There’s peace and quiet, the way it should be,” JT said as he laughed and then turned around.  “Okay, who’s next?”

Jacksonville, FL – X-Ternals’ Compound – The Infirmary

“I would very much like to know what’s going on here,” A’Mora stated, looking at Necroloque and JT.  “It seems you two are the only ones that can answer the questions of what’s really going on around here.”

“I don’t have an answer for this,” Necroloque replied, looking over at JT’s unconscious body.

“Well maybe JT has an answer in his head,” Hank stated, looking over at Necroloque.

“I guess I could take a peek at what’s in his head.  Maybe there’s something I’ve missed,” Necroloque stated as his eyes glowed brightly.

“Does this have anything to do with Marek’s actions?”  Hank asked.

“I don’t think so, but that could be the case,” Necroloque stated with a frown as he touched JT’s forehead.  “With all that’s happened, maybe he left a hypnotic suggestion in JT’s mind.”

“Damn, I thought all of our problems were over when Marek was captured.  This new shit just adds new flare to everything,” Hank stated as he walked behind the examination table that JT laid on.

“No, it just means that I need to reverse what I did and unbind JT’s powers and put things back right,” Necroloque stated as A’Mora shook her head.  “If I do that, maybe things could go back to the way they were and one of this stuff would’ve happened.”

“Yeah right,” Hank stated as Necroloque looked at him.

“Hank, you get upset way too easily,” Necroloque stated as Hank shook his head.

“Yeah, you two are related,” Hank stated, shaking his head again.

“Very intuitive of you,” Necroloque stated as Hank rolled his eyes.

“Well excuse me o’ powerful one, but some of us are not as powerful and god-like, like you and your nephew there,” Hank stated as Necroloque looked over at him as his eyes stopped glowing.  “If there’s an inkling of Marek in his mind, I wasn’t able sense it.”

“You’re psychic too?  I didn’t know you were psychic Hank,” A’Mora stated as Hank turned and looked at her strangely.

“I’m not as strong as JT or Donna, but I have psychic potential,” Hank stated as he looked over at A’Mora.  “He—he helped me develop my limited psychic abilities, but I tend to not rely on it, mainly because it’s so limited.”

“Non-sense Hank,” Necroloque stated, looking over at Hank.  “You could’ve been a strong psychic, but it seems you’re scared to use…”

“Get out of my head man,” Hank stated, pointing his finger at Necroloque.  “You’re acting like JT and Wanda.  I’m glad she’s not a real psychic… she’s only capable of projecting her voice into the minds of others, using her magic, whereas he can do that and read our minds.”

“Wow, go ahead and give a complete history of all the X-Ternals’ powers and weaknesses Hank,” JT spoke as Hank turned and looked at him.  “Yeah, I’m awake and no, Marek is not in my body.”

“Get out of my head man!”  Hank snapped as JT shook his head and then rolled his eyes.

“Mainly, a head that most wouldn’t want to be in anyway,” JT stated, looking over at Hank.

“Jerk,” Hank said, rolling his eyes again as he turned his back to JT and Necroloque.  “So, if there isn’t a sign of Marek in him, then what’s causing all this crap that’s happening?  Why did he…”

“I’m not responsible for what happened to you guys,” JT stated, looking down.

“If you’re not, who is?”  Hank asked as JT’s body crackled with energy as Necroloque stepped back.

“Oh no,” Necroloque said, covering his eyes as JT’s clothing started to change as ribbon and energy flared about his body as the light faded.  “Demonloque!”

“In the flesh,” JT spoke in a cold tone as Necroloque shook his head.

“It seems when you went searching for Marek in his mind, you found something else instead!”  Hank screamed, stepping backwards as he bumped into the wall and then slid down it as he tried to make his exit from the room.

“What in the hell is going on around here?  Why is Demonloque here again?”  Barbara asked as she and Wanda walked into the room, taking on fighting stances.

“No time for talking, we might need to take the defensive here and get moving.  It seems JT isn’t looking to play around and be nice,” A’Mora stated, her hair changing color as her costume reappeared.  “We need to get out of here, pronto!”

The Chaos Factor – Chapter 5

Chapter 5 — Reality or …

Mar 2, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – X-Ternals’ Complex – Donna James’ Quarters

“What in the hell is going on around here?  It feels like I’m losing my damn mind,” Donna said as she shook her head.

“Maybe you are,” Donna heard behind her as she turned around to see JT standing there in the shadows.

“JT, what’re you doing in here?”  Donna asked.

“No Donna, the question is, what are you doing here?”  JT asked, smiling evilly as he moved closer to where Donna lay on the bed as her eyes glowed, signaling that she was using her telepathic powers.  “Nah ah, you can’t use those mind powers on me Donna.”

“What in the hell is going on here JT?  What are you doing?”  Donna asked.

“It’s not a matter of what I’m doing, it’s a matter of what I’m not doing,” JT replied, smiling again as he moved closer to her as he waved his hand as she floated off the bed.

“What in the hell are you going?”  Donna asked.

“I’m releasing you from the constraints of this life,” JT stated as he moved his hand in a ‘Z’ formation over Donna’s body as she screamed out.  “Have fun Tele Girl, I’m sure you’ll love it!”

Somewhere in Georgia – An Unknown Medical Complex

“Courtney!  Courtney, where in the hell are you?” JT called out, walking into a hospital exam room.

“What’s the deal JT?  What’s with all the screaming?”  A young woman asked, walking into the room behind him.

“What in the hell is going on?”  JT asked, looking at the young woman.

“What are you talking about?”  The young woman asked.

“Don’t play with me Courtney, I’m not in the mood right now,” JT stated, looking at the young woman closely as if there was something wrong.

“What’s going on?”  The young woman asked, patting JT on the shoulder.

“Look, I don’t know what’s going on, but something’s not right here,” JT stated, shaking his head.

“What’s wrong JT?”  The young woman asked, looking at JT strangely.

“I wasn’t trying to get here.  I was trying to get to Mother Divine’s house so I could stop her, finally,” JT stated as the young woman looked at him strangely as he tapped his foot.  “What’s going on?  Why did I appear here and not there?”

“What are you talking about?  Where is this Mother Divine’s house?  Who’s that?  Did you get a pass to leave?”  The young woman asked as JT looked at her strangely.  “JT, are you okay?”

“Yes, I’m okay Courtney.  What’s the big deal?  Why did I appear here and not at Mother Divine’s house?”  JT asked.  “Once I take care of her, I can get back to my life and go find Joey and have a good time with him.”

“You can have fun with Joey?  Who’s Joey?”  The young woman asked.

“Oh come on, you should know who he is, he’s the guy I’ve been dating.  You know, the boy band member from the singing group All Star.  Joey Fallon, he’s my boyfriend,” JT stated, looking at the young woman strangely.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about JT.  When did you get a boyfriend JT?  Are you gay?  What happened to Danielle?”  The young woman asked.

“What?  Danielle?  Have you been drinking girl?”  JT asked, shaking his head.  “You know I’m gay and I’ve always been that way.  Stop playing stupid girl.”

“No, I haven’t been drinking, but maybe you have,” the young woman stated as she walked over to JT and then touched his forehead, acting as if she were checking his temperature.  “Did you go and have one of your special dreams again?”

“Did I have a special dream again?  What are you talking about Courtney?”  JT asked, looking at the young woman strangely as he looked around the room.

“Now I get it, that’s what it is.  You did have one of your special dreams again.  Come with me,” the young woman stated as she took JT’s hand, leading him down the hall to a room.  “Let’s get you back to bed and get you your medication.”

“What!  What in the hell is going on here?  I don’t take medication!”  JT screamed, pushing the young woman away from him as he tried to move away from her.  “Get away from me!”

“Come on JT, get back into bed.  It seems you’ve had a bad night,” the young woman stated.

“A bad night!  I didn’t have a bad damn night!  What are you talking about?  Where’s Joey?”  JT asked as the tears streamed down his face.  “Uncle!  A’Mora!  Pamela!  Ashley!”

“Come on JT, calm down buddy,” the young woman stated as she waved her hand at JT.

“No!”  JT screamed.

“You stay here and I’ll go get Danielle,” the young woman stated as she walked out of the room.

“What in the hell is going on here?  Where’s Joey?  Why is she talking about Danielle?  Maybe—maybe I’m losing my mind again.  Am—am I still with those crazy people that were trying to convert me from being gay to straight?  What in the hell is going on here?  Did the others really rescue me or was that all a dream?”  JT asked as the young woman returned to the room with a familiar looking, unwanted girl.

“Are you okay JT?  Courtney told me that you were having a bad time.  Have you taken your medications today?”  The girl asked.

“Danielle Drake?!  God please tell me that I’m dreaming!”  JT snapped, closing his eyes as he waved his hand as if he was trying to use his powers to teleport away, but nothing happened.  “Oh God, nothing’s happening!”

“JT, what are you doing?”  The girl asked.

“I’m trying to teleport away from here!”  JT snapped, backing away from the two young women as he backed up against the wall.

“Oh no, he’s feeling trapped.  I was afraid this was going to happen,” the first young woman stated as she shook her head.

“Get away from me!  I’ll kill both of you if you don’t stay away from me!”  JT yelled, holding his hand out in front of his body, expecting something to happen, but nothing did.

“JT, what are you doing?  What has gotten you into such a mood tonight?”  The girl asked.

“Stay away from me!  Don’t come near me!  This must be some kind of sick game!”  JT snapped, pushing past the two young women as he ran from the room.

“We don’t need this tonight.  Call Martin and tell him that JT is having one of his moments again,” the first young woman spoke as she walked out of the room to locate JT.

“Hi Martin, Danielle here… It seems JT has flipped out again.  I need you to find him and then bring him back to his room.  Be warned, you might need to restrain him if he’s acting a little off,” the girl spoke into a walkie-talkie.

= Gotcha boss lady. =

“It couldn’t have been a dream… it was so damn real.  It was all so real,” JT stated, hiding in the corner as he cried.  “I know I’m not that crazy.  They were real… it was all real.  I was there, my friends, the X-Ternals… they are all real.  I’m not crazy.  I—I’m not crazy.  I’m still asleep… That’s what it is.  I’m still dreaming, I have to be dreaming.  This—this isn’t make any sense.  I—I was happy—I was so happy.  I was a super hero.  I—I finally had someone that—that I was supposed to love, that’s supposed to love me. I…”

“You know… you really have some weird dreams JT,” JT heard as he looked up to see the young woman standing there, looking down at him.  “Alright JT, come on, let’s get you back to your room.”

“I don’t want to go.  Just leave me alone,” JT stated, wiping at his eyes.  “I just want to be left alone.”

“Well what you want right now isn’t what you’re going to get.  You’re going back to your room and back to bed.  Come on buddy, let’s go,” the young woman stated, grabbing JT by the hand as she pulled him up to his feet.

“Let go!”  JT screamed, kicking the young woman on her leg.

“Owww!  I didn’t want it to come to this,” the young woman stated as she pulled a syringe from her pocket, pulling the cap off as JT shook his head.

“No!”  JT screamed.

“I’m sorry JT,” the young woman stated as she stuck the needle into a bottle and then inserted the contents of the syringe into JT’s arm.  “You should be feeling that any moment now.”

“What have you done to me?  Why are you doing this to me?”  JT asked, shaking his head as he fell backwards against the wall, feeling the effects of the medication that was injected into him.  “No, I don’t want to sleep, I need to find Joey… Why Destiny, why did you…”

“That’s right JT, go back to sleep,” the young woman stated with a frown.

“No, I—I was his… I was—I was his… I was his super hero,” JT spoke as he slid down the wall, falling into a deep sleep.

Between Here and There – The Limbo Dimension – Castle Limbo

Necroloque’s POV

Lawd, what have I done to my boy?  Why did I do that to him?  I know what I’ve done is going to cause a bigger problem in the long run, but I just couldn’t allow him to return to Earth to kill my sister, his aunt.  The way he acted, he was hysterical and he was going to do any and everything he possibly could to carry his wishes out.

This is all one big damn mess.  I shouldn’t have done things the way I did, but it seems I had no choice in the matter.  I couldn’t allow him to do what he had his mind set to do.  I now when his memory returns of what I did; he’s going to be just as upset with me, as he is with his aunt for what she did to him.

“There’s really no easy resolution to this matter,” I heard behind me as I turned around see my sister, the person responsible for all of this madness in the first place.

“You, how did you get here to Limbo?”  I asked as she frowned.

“I thought you would’ve asked why was I here, not how I got here,” she said as I shook my head.

“There’s no reason for you being here.  You’ve caused enough problems as it is,” I said as she shook her head.

“I wasn’t trying to cause a problem my brother,” she said as I sighed.

“What in the hell were you trying to do then?”  I asked as she looked down.

“I was trying to save his eternal soul,” she replied as I turned my back to her and then turned around quickly, not knowing if she would try something stupid with me too.

“There’s nothing wrong with his soul,” I said as she looked at me strangely.  “If there were something so wrong with him, do you think the Elders would put so much faith in him and…”

“He’s a chosen one, just like the rest of us,” she said as I shook my head again.

“Yes, he’s a chosen one and yet you used your powers against him!”  I snapped as she looked up at me as if I had slapped her.  “You took his powers away and almost allowed some damn mortal to kill him!”

“That’s not…” she said, stepping backwards as the castle walls shook.

“Why did you do that to him?  Had I remained on the mortal plane with you all, would you have done the same thing to me?”  I asked as she looked around quickly as the castle walls continued rumbling.

“I—I don’t know the answer to that,” she replied, looking down again.  “I don’t know what I would’ve done in regards to you.”

“Then why in the hell did you have to do it to him?”  I asked.  “Do you know how hard his life has been without your damn meddling?”

“I—I wasn’t meddling in his life,” she spoke up as I shook my head as she looked around again as the creatures of the castle grumbled.

“Where should I start woman?”  I asked as she looked at me as I waved my hand at the scrying glass as it glowed brightly.

“What are you doing?”  She asked.

“I’m showing you what your meddling has done over the years to cause a big problem,” I said as she looked at me strangely.  “I may not be on the mortal plane with the rest of you, but I do see what you do.”

“What are you talking about?”  She asked.

“Let’s start here,” I said as the images in the mirror stopped flashing, showing an image of one of my boy’s best friends.  “Strike one, you used your powers on his best friend to cause a problem in the lives of others.”

“You have to be a bit clearer than that.  Who’s that in the mirror?”  She asked, looking at me as if I were crazy.

“Okay, play crazy then,” I said as she shook her head.  “You cast a spell on Hank Hart and made him assume the form of Timmy.  You used your powers, playing with his mind, actually making him think he was Timmy for a time.  You had that lil white boy doing all sorts of things with other men while he looked and acted like Timmy.  Hank’s actions led Kevin to believe that Timmy was sleeping around with other men, which led to the problems that developed between the two of them.  That mess screwed Timmy’s mind up so much that he broke the Elders’ rules and went back in time to see what actually happened.  In the process of him investigating in the past, he made a mistake somewhere and things changed, which rewrote the present, changing Kevin’s name from James Jack to Kevin James.”

“I—I had nothing to do with that, you’re lying… You’re wrong!”  She snapped as I shook my head and then waved my hand at the mirror as the images changed, showing her casting the spell on Hank as her expression changed.

“Am I wrong now?”  I asked as she looked down.

“Strike two,” I said as she sighed.  “Danielle Drake, Mara Drake’s daughter from an alternate future.  Why in the hell did you conjure that evil charlatan whore from the whole in time she came from?”

“Who are you referring to?”  She asked as I shook my head, snapping my fingers as the images on the mirror’s reflection changed.

“That’s who I’m referring to!”  I snapped as the castle walls shook and rumbled again.  “You allowed that tramp to come back to the past and she did nothing but cause problems for Timmy and his friends.  Do you know the actual hell she created for him and his friends?”

“I did no such thing,” she stated as I shook my head, snapping my fingers again as the images in the mirror changed, showing an image of her as the person she had summoned from the future emerged from a time portal.

“You allowed that vixen to come back to the past and trick him into thinking that she was Mara.  Everyone thought that Danielle was Mara for over a year, before she slipped up and was figured out when Timmy used his psychic powers against her,” I explained as she had this blank look on her face.  “The stuff that lil tramp did to him and his friends wasn’t a pretty sight.  The things she did, a teenager shouldn’t have to experience.”

“That wasn’t my fault, I can’t control what a person does when…” she said as I shook my head and held up my hand, stopping her from saying more.

“Okay then, what about the Sword of Legions?”  I asked as she closed her mouth.  “Ah, I see I have your attention now.”

“He—he wasn’t ready for that,” she said, looking down again.  “He would’ve destroyed this planet if he held onto that sword for too long.”

“So, to keep him from mastering it, like his destiny says he must, you go back in time, find it before he does and hurls it into Limbo, where it was lost for millennia; only to be found by the souls of this realm and corrupted with their energy, which in turn, changed his destiny,” I stated as she shook her head.

“No no, that wasn’t supposed to happen,” she said.

“What did you think would happen to the world, having it be here and not where it was supposed to be woman?  How would he find it here and learn to use it to save the lives he was meant to save?  Because of your actions, he mastered the powers of Limbo a little bit too late!”  I screamed as the castle walls rumbled.  “Because of your damn actions, countless lives were ruined!”

“Stop this!  Stop this right now!”  She screamed as her eyes glowed.

“Sorry sister, this is my domain, I rule here, not you,” I said, floating off the floor as chains flew at her from multiple directions, grabbing her and wrapping her up.  “Because of your actions, your meddling in the life of my boy, I had to erase his memory and heart of the hatred you created!  I sent him back to Earth, recycled!  What’s happening to him is all your fault!”

“No!  Let me go!”  She screamed as I floated above her as my magical chains held her tight.

“No my sister, I am not going to let you go.  I’m going to leave you locked up here in Limbo,” I said, turning away from her.  “You’ll stay here until there’s a resolution to what you’ve done!”

“Divine!”  She screamed as the castle walls rumbled again.  “Divine!  Might of…”

“We won’t be having any of that!”  I screamed as I held out my hand in her direction.  “Ankh!  Egyptian Cruxata!”

“No!”  She screamed out as I used my powers to seal her mouth, not allowing her to speak.

“As I was saying, until I find a way to fix things with my boy, you will remain here so you won’t cause any more trouble for him or anyone else,” I said, floating down to the mirror, snapping my fingers as an image showed of my boy as he lies in bed, crying in the place that I had put him, tricking him into thinking that he had no powers and the life he’s led has been nothing but a dream.  How am I going to fix this problem that she created, that I’ve helped her make worse?

“My liege… there seems to be a mystical occurrence that involves the Prince of this Realm,” the spirit of the mirror spoke as I turned around to look to see was my sister where I left her.

“What kind of mystical occurrence?”  I asked as the reflection in the mirror changed, showing my boy in Jacksonville with one of his friends and he’s fighting.  “What in… That’s not possible.  My boy isn’t there in Jacksonville, he’s where I put him.”

“My liege, that is the essence of the Prince of this Realm,” the spirit of the mirror spoke again.  “The mystical occurrence tied to that essence is channeling chaos magic and warping the spiritual plane of the Earth, creating multiple variances in the plane.”

“How did that happen?  How did this essence take on the form of the Prince?”  I asked.

“That query is unknown my liege,” the spirit of the mirror replied as I looked around, checking to see that my sister was still where I had left her as I waved my hand at the mirror to see that my boy was still where I had placed him.  “I guess this means I’m going to find out what this essence is.”

“I advise against that my liege,” the spirit of the mirror spoke.

“Why is that?”  I asked.

“You would become susceptible to the effects of the chaos magic that the essence is channeling,” the spirit of the mirror spoke again.  “Your spirit could become corrupted and you would become Necroloque…”

“I’ll find a way around that,” I said, waving my hand in the air, creating a portal to take me to that thing so I could get to the bottom of why that thing was pretending to be my boy.

Mar 15, 1996 – Downtown Jacksonville, FL

(<BOOM>)

“Ha ha ha!”  JT laughed, flying past A’Mora as he threw a sphere of energy at her, knocking her off the earth-slide she stood upon.  “Hear me X-Ternals, no longer am I the man that you knew and loved, I am forever Chaos!  Beware, for I will kill you all!”

“What in the hell is up with all of this shit?”  Barbara asked, projecting beams of ice at JT, missing him.

“Silly woman, do you really think your ice can stop me?”  JT asked, laughing again as he flew past Barbara, zapping her with a bolt of energy, knocking her off of her ice-slide as she fell to the ground, her body shattering into small pieces of ice.

“Oh no, that doesn’t look good at all!”  Andy Claybourne said as he stopped in place.  “Something’s wrong with him, I can’t reach him telepathically.”

“Have you ever been able to reach him telepathically before Speedster?”  Hank asked, flying past Andy as A’Mora appeared next to him.  “Has anyone been able to find Donna yet?”

“I haven’t heard from Donna, Telly or Paul,” Andy replied, looking up.  “Has any of you?”

“Telly, you near?”  Hank asked, tapping a button on his communicator.

“I’m right here buddy,” Telly replied, appearing in a strange phenomenon in mid-air.  “I got Golem with me, but he’s not feeling so hot right now.  Is Barbara okay, is she going to reform or what?”

“I can’t answer about Barbara right now.  What’s wrong with him?”  Hank asked, looking at Telly.

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed this or not, but JT isn’t acting normal right now and that should be the question on everybody’s mind,” Telly stated, looking at Hank strangely.

“How am I supposed to fight him?”  Paul Stanton asked, looking at Hank.  “I’m just an ordinary guy in a robotic suit of armor.”

“Do your best my friend, that’s all any of us can ask,” Hank stated as Telly and Paul disappeared and then reappeared on the ground.

“What in the hell are we going to do?  This is JT here!”  Laura Lynn screamed, running past as she threw an explosive energy sphere at JT.  “He’s one of us!”

“He was one of us, now he’s the evil doer!”  Hank yelled, flying past as he grabbed Laura by her hand, carrying her through the air.  “Team two, come on through!”

“This hit and run shit isn’t working Onyx,” Laura stated as she and Hank streaked through the sky.

“What do you expect us to do here Plastyque?”  Hank asked as the two of them floated in mid-air.  “He’s more powerful than all of us put together.  How do we stop someone with the powers of a god?”

“Hah, your guess is good as mine,” Laura replied as JT appeared in front of the two of them, waving his hand as waves of telekinetic might knocked her and Hank down to the ground.  “Damn it… How are we going to stop a telepath that knows our every move?”

“You can’t!”  JT screamed, appearing down on the ground in front of Hank and Laura as he smiled evilly as he waved his hand, using his powers to slam both of them against a wall.

“Damn it!  Has anyone been able to find Donna?”  Hank asked, leaning up on his elbows as he rubbed at his head as he looked over at Laura.

“Donna shouldn’t be your main concern right now,” the two of them heard as JT smiled as his hand crackled with energy.

“It shouldn’t be your concern either,” the three of them heard as Hank got up in a hurry as JT disappeared.

“Celeste, what are you doing here?”  Hank asked, moving over to the woman.  “Is there something wrong?”

“Oh yeah, there’s something very wrong,” the woman replied as she looked at Hank closely.  “The fate of the planet is at stake at this very moment.”

“Oh great… There’s something else to worry about,” Laura stated, walking over to where Hank and the woman stood.

“If I remember correctly, you said you would never appear, appear here, unless there was something happening that threatens the planet,” Hank stated.

“And that’s why I’m here right now,” the woman stated, waving her hand as there were multiple flashes of light as different X-Ternals’ members appeared.

“What in the hell is going on?”  Telly asked, appearing as he looked around.  “We were getting ready to drop down on JT when we vanished and then appeared here.  What the hell happened?”

“I brought you here,” the woman stated as Telly shook his head.

“I should’ve known… Malaphyion, why are you here?”  Telly asked, looking around at the others near him.  “Are you here to tell us that there’s some drastic thing happening to the universe right now?  If so, take a damn number, we’re already knee deep in shit of our own.  We’re currently fighting a fool and now she has something new for us.  I’m not into it lady!”

“Don’t listen to his rants and ravings Celeste,” A’Mora stated, looking at the woman.  “Why are you here though?  What can be happening, bigger than what we’re dealing with right now?”

“What’s happening is chaos.  Chaos has been released into the world,” the woman identified as Celeste spoke.  “If that chaos isn’t stopped and put back where it belongs, this world will surely end.”

“Well it’s very funny that you mention that,” Hank said, shaking his head.  “JT’s now calling himself Chaos.”

“What?  Oh no,” Celeste stated, looking down at her hand, looking at an image there.  “If that’s the case, he’s ben inhabited by the spirit of Chaos.”

“That’s just what we fucking need right now!”  Telly yelled, shaking his head again.  “How are we going to stop him?”

“There isn’t a way to stop him,” Celeste replied, looking down.

“There has to be a way to stop him and to make things right,” A’Mora stated, frowning as she shook her head.

“Regardless of what’s going on right now, I think he’s done something to Donna,” Hank stated as he looked up at Celeste.  “No one knows where she is.”

“Why is that?”  Celeste asked, looking at Hank strangely.

“Probably because she would’ve been able to telepathically sense that something was wrong with him,” Hank stated, punching his hand into the nearest tree.  “She’s the only one of us that is a good enough telepath like he is that could…”

“I don’t think that’s the case Hank,” A’Mora stated, looking around.  “Andy could’ve easily used his telepathy to detect that there was something wrong with…”

“No he couldn’t, he hasn’t been around lately,” Hank stated, glaring at A’Mora.  “He’s been at home, brooding about things he change!”

“Cut it out Hank, we don’t have time for that,” A’Mora stated, sighing as she looked over at Celeste.  “Regardless of that, Andy could’ve used his telepathy to detect if something was wrong with JT and so could Wanda, myself or Kayla.  Donna isn’t the only one of us with an affinity to detect when something is amiss around with the psychic world.”

“But Donna is the only one of us that is able to use her telepathic abilities on a level that rivals JT’s powers,” Hank stated as he looked over at A’Mora, waiting for her to say more.  “When it comes to psychics on his team, it’s JT and Donna that reign supreme in that area.”

“You have a point, but there are other means of detecting…” A’Mora stated as Hank shook his head, interrupting her again.

“We don’t have time for this argument!”  Hank snapped, turning around.  “I think we need to get back to HQ and figure out what we’re going to do to solve things with JT and this so-called chaos that has been released into the world.”

“Yea, we need to tend to our wounded also,” A’Mora said as she glared at Hank as she and Andy walked towards where Barbara lay on the ground.

Chapter 4 — Chaos Cometh This Way

Between Here and There – The Limbo Dimension – Castle Limbo

“You need to calm down my boy,” Necroloque spoke, standing in front of JT.

“No Uncle, no!”  JT screamed as Necroloque shook his head.

“Screaming about this isn’t going to make things right,” Necroloque spoke.

“Are you kidding me here?”  JT asked, looking at Necroloque strangely.  “If Pamela, Ashley, A’Mora and Kevin hadn’t popped up when they did, those fools would’ve killed me!”

“You’re not dead though my boy,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head as he waved his hand as his scepter appeared.

“I’m not dead, but she needs to be!”  JT screamed as the castle walls shook.  “How dare they send you and Hephzibah to stop me from killing her!”

“You can’t kill her,” Necroloque stated as he looked down.  “What is it going to take for this to be put to rest?”

“It will take her being put to rest!”  JT snapped as he looked at Necroloque again.  “Don’t you understand the seriousness of this?”

“Yes, I understand it very much my boy,” Necroloque replied as he looked down again.

“What if she had done to you, what she did to me?  Would we be having this argument right now?”  JT asked, looking at Necroloque again.  “She’s your sister!”

“She’s your aunt,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head.

“Not any longer!”  JT snapped as he waved his hand in the air, using his powers to create a dimensional portal.  “When I return to Earth, I will kill her!”

“In that case,” Necroloque spoke as he waved his hand at the portal that JT created and it disappeared.  “I can’t let you leave here.  I can’t allow you to do what you did again.  I have to safeguard the planet and if allowing you to return back to Earth threatens that balance, then you’ll remain here in Limbo, forever if need be.”

“No Uncle!”  JT screamed, raising the scepter high in the air as another portal appeared as Necroloque waved his hand again, causing the portal to disappear.

“I won’t allow you to return to Earth in that state of mind my boy,” Necroloque stated as he sighed.  “I’m not going to give you the opportunity to destroy the planet, to get your revenge on Mother Divine.  You have to let this anger go.  If you keep at this, your anger will consume you and your soul will resemble this place.”

“I don’t care!”  JT screamed, floating into the air as Necroloque projected a beam of magical energy at him, knocking him down to the floor.

“Please my boy, don’t make me do this,” Necroloque said as JT got up off the floor and then took off running down a corridor.  “Timmy, please!”

“No, I’m going to kill her, one way or the other!”  JT screamed, stopping at a set of double wooden doors as he pushed the doors open to a room filled with what looked like doorways to other places.

“No my boy, don’t do that!”  Necroloque screamed as the room shook, knocking JT down to the floor.  “Asa M’Doo’az Jal K’Taj Prees!”

“No!”  JT screamed as strange looking chains made of magical energy appeared from the floor, wrapping around his body and then pulling him towards a glowing doorway across the room.

“I won’t allow you to return to Earth in your current state of mind,” Necroloque stated as he shook his head as a few tears fell from his eyes.  “So, I’ll keep you here.”

“You can’t stop me, you just can’t!”  JT screamed as his eyes crackled with energy as the castle walls shook and rumbled.  “I won’t let you stop me Uncle, I won’t let you!”

“You have no choice boy, I can’t let you do that,” Necroloque stated as the doorway that JT was pulled into glowed brightly.

“No!  Star Cosmic Saturn Power, Change-Up!”  JT screamed as the ribbon-like energy exploded from the doorway, enveloping JT with energy as his clothing changed as he landed on the floor as a staff appeared in his hand.  “I’m sorry Uncle, I love you, but I won’t be denied this.”

“You—you upgraded yourself to your ultimate form,” Necroloque stated as his eyes widened as he backed away from JT.

“I’m doing what I have to, to put right what has been done wrong,” JT stated as he looked at Necroloque.

“Please my boy, please don’t do this,” Necroloque stated as he grabbed JT’s hand.  “Let the Elders handle her, you leave her alone.  Don’t do evil for evil.”

“Those people could’ve killed me because of her,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “I won’t allow that to happen again.”

“It won’t happen again,” Necroloque stated, looking at JT closely.  “You just transformed into your ultimate form, meaning that you are your superior self.  She won’t be able to hurt you again.”

“I’m not going to believe you on that one,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “As long as she lives, there’s the possibility of her hurting me again and I can’t allow that.”

“She’s not going to hurt you again,” Necroloque stated as JT nodded his head.

“I know, I’m going to stop her,” JT stated with a smile.

“Really, she’s not going to hurt you again,” Necroloque stated as JT shook his head.

“You shouldn’t make promises you can’t keep Uncle,” JT stated as he waved the staff through the air as a portal appeared and he got ready to step through it as Necroloque waved his hand, trying to dissipate the portal as his eyes glowed.

“I’m sorry my boy, I can’t let you go,” Necroloque stated as the portal disappeared as he gasped and then held his chest.

“We’ll just have to keep playing this scene out until I get what I want,” JT stated as Necroloque shook his head.

“No we won’t,” Necroloque stated as his eyes glowed as JT fell to the floor, knocked out cold.  “I’m sorry my boy, but I can’t let you get what you want this time.”

Mar 1, 1996 – Jacksonville, FL – X-Ternals’ Compound – Joey Fallon’s Quarters

“I’m really glad to see you baby,” Joey said as he and JT walked into the room as the door closed behind them.

“I’m glad to see you too Joey,” JT stated, leaning in and kissing Joey’s lips as Joey pulled back and then looked him in the eyes and then leaned in and kissed his lips.  “I thought you were mad at me.”

“I was, but I’m not now,” Joey replied as he led JT over to the bed and then motioned for him to sit down.

“Why aren’t you mad with me now?”  JT asked as Joey looked down and then back up at him.

“Because you had a lot going on and I can’t hold you responsible for that,” Joey stated as he leaned in and kissed JT’s lips again.  “I remember that when you go to Limbo, time passes differently, so that’s why you were gone so long, right?”

“Yeah, that’s right,” JT replied as Joey smiled and then kissed his lips again.

“So, what’s with this new look of yours?”  Joey asked, admiring the new costume JT had on.  “Is this something to do with your so-called bad side?”

“No, I don’t have a so-called bad side, this is just me,” JT answered as Joey raised an eye at him.

“This is just you?  What about… what’s his name… yeah, the Demonloque,” Joey stated, looking JT in the face.  “Isn’t that another part of you, like that Legacy Saturn thing is a part of you?”

“No, I don’t think so.  My so-called bad side was with me before I discovered I was Legacy Saturn.  Demonloque isn’t bad per se, he was just me.  My body was imbued with the magical and cosmic energies that I now possess and the power somewhat corrupted my personality and identity.  You could say the power was too strong for me to handle alone and with Marek’s mind tampering; he was able to bring some of my so-called bad desires to the surface and that power created a personality that didn’t care about anything, but what he wanted,” JT explained, laughing coldly as Joey looked at him strangely.

“Damn,” Joey stated as JT smiled slyly.  “So go on.”

“Due to the will of the Elders and my father, that part of my personality was silenced and the person for which you know as me was put in complete control.  Only when I get upset or too weak, that personality is able to take control and do what it wishes to do,” JT stated.

“Well that explains a lot baby and I’m totally glad that Marek creep is gone.  Now hopefully things will calm down and we can spend some time together, just the two of us,” Joey stated, wrapping his arms around JT.

“Your lips really taste good.  What have you been eating?  I can’t really explain what it is that I taste on your lips,” JT stated, smiling again.

“I haven’t eaten anything yet.  Oh wait, I had a Twinkie© before you appeared in my apartment to get me,” Joey stated as JT giggled and then shook his head.

“Why are you laughing?”  Joey asked.

“I can just imagine you sitting on the sofa, in your apartment, stuffing your face with those snack cakes,” JT stated, laughing again as Joey frowned.  “Filling yourself up, just putting on another layer… You’ll start to look like those snack cakes soon.”

“Oh, so you think it’s funny huh?  Well how funny is this?”  Joey asked, pushing JT backwards on the bed and then folding his arms across his chest.  “It’s not funny to talk about someone’s weight!”

“Why isn’t it funny?”  JT asked, getting up as he looked Joey in the face.  “If you can’t handle people commenting on your weight, you shouldn’t eat so much!”

“You’re a rude fucking jerk!”  Joey screamed, making a move to punch JT, but was repelled backwards as JT’s eyes sparkled with energy.

“I’m not a rude fucking jerk, I’m just a guy that’s about to be fucking your sweet ass,” JT stated, his eyes glowing as Joey’s anger seem to dissipate as Joey stepped closer to him and then kissed his lips.

“You want my sweet ass?”  Joey asked as JT smiled as Joey pushed him backwards on the bed and then crawled on top of him, straddling his waist.  “I can tell you want my ass, I can see how big you are.”

“I’m glad you see it, I’m going to use it on you,” JT stated as Joey bent down, kissing his mouth passionately.

Breaking the kiss, Joey trailed his fingers down the front of JT’s costume, groping him in different places and even tweaking his nipples.  Kissing JT’s lips again, Joey reached down and unbuttoned JT’s belt and then pulled it from around JT’s waist.  Stopping, Joey smiled and then pulled the shirt from JT’s body, revealing his chest.

“I love those pecs,” Joey said, leaning down to kiss JT’s chest.

“I can care less if you love the pecs, I want you naked so I can see that ass,” JT stated as Joey looked at him strangely.  “Better yet, it’s time for me to take things up a notch.”

“What do you mean?”  Joey asked as JT’s eyes glowed as all of their clothes disappeared, leaving both of them naked as the day they were born.  “Oh I like where this is going.”

“Good,” JT stated as Joey stroked his cock, arousing him as they started to consummate their love for each other.  “Do you really want to be doing this right now?”

“Yeah, I’ve missed this for a very long time,” Joey stated as he rose up on JT’s cock and then slid back down on it.  “I want you right now.  You don’t have to do anything, just let me do all the work baby.”

“Damn Joey, that feels good, work that fat ass,” JT stated, slapping Joey’s ass as he rose up and then slid all the way back down on his cock again.  “It feels like you are tight as hell.  Oh God, this feels like… it feels like heaven and hell.”

“Baby,” Joey said as JT slapped his ass again as he rode up and then back down on the cock.  “Oh God yes, I’ve missed this… I missed you while you were gone.  I didn’t think I was going to see you again when you went away.”

“I didn’t have to worry about seeing you, I can spot this fat ass from out of space,” JT stated as he smacked Joey’s ass again and continued using his ass.

“Oh God, I love you baby, I love you,” Joey said as he leaned in and kissed JT’s lips again.

Donna James’ Quarters

Donna’s POV

What in the world is going on?  I’ve been trying to sleep for hours, but I can’t seem to.  What’s up with me?  I’ve been tossing and turning in this damn bed for only God knows and it’s not doing me any good.  God, why can’t I damn sleep?

“This is getting out of hand,” I said, getting out of bed as I walked over to the mirror, stopping in front of it as I looked at my reflection.  “What in the hell is going on?  That—that’s not me!”

Oh God, what in the hell happened to me?  Where is my face?  What in the hell is going on?  This must be a damn dream!  That’s not what I look like!  What’s going on?  Oh God, this can’t be real… This is all a damn dream!  It’s all a dream!

“That’s it, it’s only a dream,” I said, walking over to the mirror again to check my reflection, not recognizing the person there.  “What in the hell is happening?  Where is me?”

(<BLEEP>)

“Go away!”  I screamed at the door, not actually knowing who was on the other side of the door.

Something’s really wrong here.  Why can’t I sense anything?  I should be able to sense who and what is on the other side of that damn door, but I’m not able to.  What in the hell is going on?  Are my powers falling me or what?

(<BLEEP>)

“Donna!  Donna, open this door!”  I heard Paul’s voice as I walked over to the door, pressed the button on the wall to open the door to let him in.

“What is it that you want Paul?”  I asked as he looked at me strangely.  “What is it?”

“Are you okay?  You’ve been screaming for almost an hour,” Paul replied, looking at me closely.  “What’s going on in there?  Were you having a nightmare or something?”

“I’m okay Paul,” I replied as he shook his head.  “Really, I’m okay Paul.”

“Are you sure?”  He asked as I nodded my head as he turned around and then stepped out of the room.

“Donna, if you need to talk about something, you know I’m here for you,” he said as I pressed the button, closing the door as he just stood there.

What in the hell is going on?  Is this all a dream or what?  This can’t be happening… Maybe it is just some—some minor issue that’s… I don’t even know how to explain this madness to myself, so how would I explain it to someone else?  What is this madness?  Is this something wrong with me or is there something going on because of something or someone else?

“Oh no, this must be Setterwynd’s doing again,” I said, shaking my head.  “I—I don’t thin I can deal with that crazy witch, mucking with my head again.”

Oh God… Oh God, oh God!  If Setterwynd has done something to me again, I—I can’t function… I don’t know what I’ll do if Setterwynd has taken control of me again.  The last time she got to me, she—she made me think that I had killed everyone.  I don’t want to go through that kind of hurt and pain again.

“Wait a damn minute!  It couldn’t be Setterwynd, she’s dead!  It can’t be something she’s doing to me,” I said, walking over to the mirror again.  “This has to be something else, but what?”

Hank Hart’s Quarters

Hank’s POV

How could he say those mean and hurtful things to me?  How could he just up and dump me like that?  He—he treated me like some damn groupie or one of their fans!  This—this is my own fault.  I—I should’ve just listened to the others when they told me not to get involve with him.  Hell, I should’ve listened to Tyler when he told me the same thing.  I just thought he was being jealous.  Damn it to hell!  Had I turned my back on Lance and just come back here to the complex, like JT did, I wouldn’t be feeling the way I’m feeling right now.  Damn it, damn it, damn it!

“Damn it to hell!”  I screamed, shaking my head as I walked over to the bed as the door beeped to let me know I had a visitor.  “Who’s there?”

Not getting an answer, the door beeped again.  Sighing, I turned around and walked towards the door as it beeped again.  Whoever it is, I’m sure they heard me ask who it was.  If they can’t reply, then they don’t need my damn attention.  I’m not in the mood to deal with any…

(<BLEEP>)

“Who is it?”  I asked again, standing in the center of the room, waiting for a reply from whoever it was on the other side of the door, still not getting one.  “Damn it, who’s there!”

Sighing again, I turned around and sighed as I walked back to the bed.  I’m just going to lie down and rest my nerves while I can.  The sooner I forget about Lance, the better off I’ll be.

(<BLEEP>)

“Who’s there?”  I called out again, still not getting a reply from whoever was there.

Walking over to the door, I pressed the button to open the door, but didn’t see anyone outside.  Okay, what in the hell is going on?  There’s nobody there and I’m not in the mood for whatever the hell this is.  Looking down both corridors, I sighed and turned around, pressing the button to close the door back and to lock it.

“I’m going to bed,” I said, heading back to the bed as the door beeped again.  “Okay, this isn’t funny anymore.”

Sighing, I turned around and then pressed the button to reopen the door, but yet no one was there.  What’s going on?  Is there something wrong with the door alarm?  Is there a problem with one of the computer’s systems?  Looking down both corridors again, I still didn’t see anyone.  This is getting really annoying.  Stepping back into my room, I pressed the button to close and relock the door.  Sighing, I walked back over to the bed, pulled the covers back and then got inside, pulling the covers over my head.

“I’m just going to sleep my memories away,” I said as I felt the bed move.  “What the hell…”

“No hell baby,” I heard a familiar voice as I pushed the covers down to see Lance in bed with me, totally naked.

What the hell is going on?  What is he doing in here?  How in the hell did he get in here?

“Lance, what are you doing here?”  I asked as he moved closer, leaning in and kissing my lips.  “Lance…”

“No words baby,” he said, kissing my lips again as he pushed me backwards on the bed as he crawled on top of me.

“What’s happening here?”  I asked.

“Any and everything you want baby,” He said, leaning in and kissing my lips again as his other hand moved down my chest, tickling me a bit.  “Don’t you want me baby?”

“Yeah, I want you Lance,” I replied as he smiled at me and then leaned close, kissing my lips again as he gyrated his hips on top of mine, grinding his ass into my dick.

“If you want me baby, do what you want,” he said, lifting up a bit as he maneuvered his ass over my dick, stroking me, getting me hard.

“But Lance…” I started as he shook his head, kissing my lips again, shutting me up.

“My butt is waiting for you to take it,” he said, sliding down my legs, getting down to my crotch as he sucked my dick into his mouth.

“Oh God!”  I screamed as he looked up at me, continuing to suck my dick as I felt him playing with my balls.

Oh God, what’s happening here?  One moment he’s mad with me and telling me that he never wants to see me again and now he’s here with me, sucking my dick and getting ready for me to fuck him.  I don’t care how he got here, I just care that we’re together now and we’re having fun together.

“You ready baby?”  He asked, sliding up my body again as he positioned my dick at his entrance, smiling wide as he sat down, going slowly as my dick popped into him.  Damn, he’s so tight.  “Oh God, you feel so big baby.”

“You feel so good to me,” I said, placing my hands on his hips as he placed his hands on my chest, leaning down to kiss my lips as he started moving up and down on my dick.

“You feel good to me too,” he said, speeding up his movements.  “Oh yeah baby, that’s it right there!  That’s the spot right there!”

“Oh yeah!”  I screamed as he continued bouncing up and down on my dick.

“Oh shit, you’re going to make me shoot!  I can’t take it anymore… Give it to me baby!”  He screamed, continuing to bounce up and down on my dick as he leaned down close, holding me tight as he worked his ass muscles, bringing me closer to orgasm as I felt my juices building.  “Come on baby… Make me shoot baby… Make me shoot this load all over us!  Come on Hank, stop holding back and give it to me baby!”

“Oh God, that feels so good baby,” I said as he continued grinding his ass on my dick as I felt myself go over the edge.

“That’s it baby, let it go!”  He screamed, sitting up on my dick, still bouncing up and down as he started stroking his own dick as he threw his head back and then shot his load on my chest as the floodgates opened and I’m sure I coated his insides with all I was worth.  “I can feel you inside me baby.  Let’s go another round.”

“Oh God Lance, don’t you ever get enough?”  I asked as he looked at me strangely as I recognized a strange, but familiar glint in his eyes.  “You act like you don’t get dick on a regular basis.”

“I don’t get dick on a regular basis, not like how you give it to me baby,” he said as he started moving on top of me again as I felt my dick harden between us.

About an Hour Later – Joey Fallon’s Quarters

“Yeah honey, right there… You know just how I like it,” JT moaned as Joey massaged his back.

“I know baby, I want you to feel good. I don’t want you achy and tired when you have to go off to fight those evil creeps again,” Joey stated as he moved in close and kissed JT’s cheek.  “I love you JT.  I’m so glad that we’re together now.”

“Okay,” JT replied, not even looking at Joey.

“Out of all the guys I’ve been with in my life, you’re the one that I truly love and—and feel love from,” Joey stated with a far-away look on his face.  “How about you baby?  Do you feel the same way?”

“Oh yeah, I love you too Joey,” JT replied, his eyes sparkling with energy for a quick instance as he smiled slyly.  “I’m glad you came into my life too.”

“That’s so sweet,” Joey said, continuing to massage JT’s back.

“It is, isn’t it,” JT said, smiling brightly as he adjusted himself on the bed.  “As those Elders said, you’re supposed to be the light to my darkness.  I hope our love continues to shine.”

“You’re so romantic baby,” Joey said, smiling again.  “I hope our love withstands the test of time.”

“It will,” JT stated as the room alert sounded to signal that someone was outside the door.

“Who’s there,” Joey called out.

“Open up, we need to talk guys.  Come on, it’s important!”  Hank yelled.

“Damn it,” JT said as he disappeared from the bed and then reappeared at the door with clothes on as he pressed the button to open the door.  “What is it that you want Henry Hart?”

“Well hello to you too JT,” Hank spoke as he stood in front of JT as JT just stood there with an angry look on his face.  “Is there something wrong?”

“Yeah, there’s a lot wrong Henry,” JT replied as Hank and Joey looked at him strangely.

“Ah JT, why are you calling me Henry and not Hank?”  Hank asked.

“You interrupted our personal time,” JT stated, his eyes crackling with energy as he stepped back, turned around quickly and then spun around, waving his hand through the air, throwing a ball of cosmic energy at Hank, knocking him out of the room and slamming him into the wall out in the corridor.

“JT!”  Joey screamed as JT laughed and then shook his head.  “What in the hell is wrong with you?”

“Hmph, he got what he deserved!”  JT exclaimed, laughing again as he faded away from the room.

“Oh my God, Hank!”  Joey yelled as he pressed a button on the wall as an alarm sounded.

“What’s going on out here?”  Barbara asked, rushing down the corridor.

“JT did this,” Joey stated as Barbara knelt down to assist with Hank.

“Oh my word… What happened?”  Barbara asked, looking at Joey and then back at Hank.

“JT hit him with some kind of energy,” Joey stated as the tears streamed down his face as Barbara looked at him closely.

“It—it was—was a—a—cosmic—cosmic energy—bolt,” Hank spoke as his eyes closed.

“Hank!”  Barbara screamed as Michura and A’Mora appeared in a flash of light in the corridor.

“What’s happened?”  A’Mora asked, looking around.

“JT happened,” Barbara stated as Joey stepped back, leaned against the wall as he cried.

“What do you mean JT happened?”  A’Mora asked, kneeling down to Hank.  “Hank… Hank, can you hear me?”

“I don’t think he can,” Michura stated, shaking her head as she looked around.

“What in the hell is going on?  Why in the hell would JT do something like this?”  Barbara asked, standing up.  “Computer, is JT in the complex?”

= Psychic Warrior is not within vicinity of the complex =

“He’s not here; he faded away after he zapped Hank!”  Joey screamed, rushing back into the room.  “I—I can’t stay here, I—I have to go!”

“What?  Why are you leaving?”  A’Mora asked as Joey rushed around the room, grabbing various things in the room, throwing them on the bed.

“I’m not going to be with someone that can do what just happened!”  Joey screamed as he stopped moving, looking at A’Mora.

“What happened to make him do this?”  A’Mora asked, looking at Joey closely.

“Hank stopped by and said he needed to talk and then JT said something about him interrupting our personal time and then bam!”  Joey exclaimed, throwing his hands up.

“That doesn’t sound right,” A’Mora said as Joey shook his head and then looked at her as if she were crazy.

“That’s what fucking happened!”  Joey screamed.

“There has to be a logical explanation for this,” A’Mora stated, looking down.

“There is,” Joey said as he walked over to the bed, grabbed his things and started putting them in a bag.  “JT is crazy and I’m not going to be here when he gets back.  I’m outta here!”

The Chaos Factor – Chapter 3

Chapter 3 – Warning Signs

Feb 29, 1996 – Somewhere in Twin City, GA

JT’s POV

“Yes!  I am powerful again!”  I screamed, feeling my body warming up from the cold I’d been subjected too for too long.

“Ah J,” A’Mora spoke, frowning when I floated over to where my captor floated near the ceiling.  “Ah J, what are…”

“Who in the hell are you?”  I asked, my body growing in size as I felt my fingers tingling, the chill that was on them, now gone.  “Who in the hell are you damn it?”

“Ahhhh!”  The man screamed as I shook my head, using my powers to transform my hand into a Gryphon’s claw as I grabbed him, holding him tight.

“Who are you damn it!”  I screamed, grabbing him by the throat with my other hand, pulling him close to me as the expression on his face told me all that I needed to know.

“J stop, you’re going to kill him!”  A’Mora screamed out.

“Pamela… Ashley… Please tell me that you two don’t know this man,” I said, throwing the guy down to the floor as I used my mental powers and zapped his mind.  “You both know this man?  You knew he was capable of this crap and you didn’t tell me, why?”

“We didn’t know this Timmy,” Pamela spoke with a frown on her face.

“Enough!”  I screamed, raising my hands as psychic fire surrounded my body.

“Uh oh,” A’Mora said, shaking her head.  “J, stop this, enough is enough already.”

“No!  I’ve just begun!”  I screamed, lashing out with my pyrokinetic powers, setting the place on fire.  These fools won’t be using this place to torture anyone else.

“Oh God, we have to get out of here!  This place is going to come down!”  Kevin yelled as he looked around.

“We gotta get these people out of here!”  Pamela yelled.

“No, leave them!”  I snapped, floating towards Pamela as she backed away as I used my telepathy, locking onto her, Ashley, A’Mora and Kevin as I teleported all of us out of there, heading to the one responsible for this travesty.

Somewhere in Swainsboro, GA – The Home of Mother Divine

(<PAMPH>)

“You!”  JT screamed as he and his passengers appeared in a burst of light as he stepped close to Mother Divine.

“Momma, look out!”  Pamela screamed as JT lashed out with his telekinetic powers, knocking Pamela down to the floor.

“Oh God, he’s gone mad!”  A’Mora screamed, waving her hand as her clothing changed into her costume.  ‘We have to do something to stop him.  Brett, I need you to get Hank, Barbara and the others… I need your help!’

“What in the world is going on here?”  Mother Divine asked, trying to get away from JT.

“Saturn!  Mind and Soul Shock!”  JT screamed, floating into the air as his body spun around in a circle as a sphere of energy projected from his body, blasting Mother Divine, knocking her backwards to the floor.

“Divine!  Might of Spite!”  Mother Divine screamed, using her powers to shield herself from JT’s attack.

“Saturn!  Psi-Sonic Reflection!”  JT screamed as psychic and sonic energy blasted Mother Divine, pushing her body backwards as she held up what looked like a book, shielding herself from JT’s attack.  “Fine, I know how to stop you permanently!”

“JT, don’t!”  Kevin screamed.

“Saturn!”  JT screamed as he reached behind his back, grabbing for air as he held his hand up as his scepter materialized in his hand.

“JT, don’t do this!”  Kevin screamed again.

“Saturn!  Cosmic Power Ignite!”  JT screamed as his body glowed brightly as ribbon and energy flared around his body as he held the scepter high above his body.  “Saturn!  Silent World!”

“No!”  Everyone screamed as JT floated higher in the room, his powers blowing the roof off the house as cosmic energy poured from his body and scepter, raining down on Mother Divine and everyone near her.

(<PAMPH>)

“My child, what have you unleashed?”  They all heard as things around them stopped moving.

“Oh my God, we’re all going to die, he’s killed us all!”  Pamela screamed, falling to the floor, covering her head.

“What’s happening?  It’s like everything’s frozen and not moving,” Kevin spoke as he looked around the room, trying to touch debris that was frozen in mid-air.

“No!  You can’t do this to me!  She’s supposed to die damn it!”  JT screamed, shaking his head.  “You can’t stop me, you just can’t!”

“Please child, the energies you’ve released will extinguish this world,” they all heard as Guardian Hephzibah appeared above all of them in the clouds, her body shrinking down to the size of giant as she grabbed JT, taking his scepter from his hand.

“I don’t care about this damn world being extinguished!”  JT screamed as he struggled to get his scepter from Guardian Hephzibah.

“Still the fires of your mind and heart child.  Think about what you’ve done here child,” Guardian Hephzibah spoke.

“I already thought about it; she needs to die!”  JT screamed as the tears streamed down his face.  “She tried to kill me!  She almost killed me!”

“My child, that’s neither here nor there,” Guardian Hephzibah stated as she held JT in her hand.

“She tried to kill me!  If they hadn’t found me when they had, who knows what those damn people would’ve done to me!  She—she cast a spell and got rid of my powers!  I couldn’t save myself from those people!  I couldn’t save myself!  She meant for those people to kill me!”  JT screamed as there was a burst of light as Necroloque appeared.

“Child, what you’ve done here can’t be allowed to continue.  This must be reversed at all costs,” Guardian Hephzibah stated as her eyes glowed.

“No!”  JT screamed as he disappeared from Guardian Hephzibah’s hand and then reappeared on the floor with scepter in hand as he drew back to swing the scepter at Mother Divine.  “Soul Eternal…”

“No Timmy, you can’t do this,” Necroloque stated, waving his hand in JT’s direction, causing JT to fall to his knees, totally out cold.

“What did you do to him?”  Kevin asked, moving closer to where JT was.

“He’s currently asleep,” Necroloque answered, his eyes glowing brightly.  “He’ll be fine later on.  This is a tragedy that must not be allowed to continue.”

“You don’t say,” A’Mora stated as Necroloque looked at her strangely.  “You people sure do know how to screw up somebody’s mind.”

“This is a Legacy matter and you are not a part of it,” Necroloque stated as he looked over at A’Mora.

“Sometimes I wonder why he would want to be a part of something that tried to kill him,” A’Mora stated, shaking her head as Kevin gestured with his hand, trying to stop A’Mora.

“Because one thought that way, it doesn’t mean we all do,” Necroloque stated as he waved his hand in A’Mora’s direction as she disappeared from the room.  “It would be in your best interest not to say anything here Legacy Pluto, as I am not in the mood to deal with you right now either.”

“Yes sir,” Kevin replied, bowing his head as he looked down.

“Get him to safety and when he awakens, he’ll feel at peace,” Necroloque stated with a frown on his face.

“I don’t think that’ll be the case.  I think he’s going to hold onto this hurt and pain for a very long time,” Kevin stated as a few tears fell from his eyes.

“I’m sure he will, but right now, we’re stopping the world from ending because of his actions and her hatred… and sadness,” Necroloque spoke as he turned around as he and Guardian Hephzibah disappeared.

“Mother Divine, you’ve avoided death today,” Kevin said as he knelt down close to JT, waved his hand as he and JT disappeared from the room, leaving Pamela and Ashley alone with Mother Divine.

“Momma, what in the world were you thinking?”  Pamela asked, looking at Mother Divine closely.

“I was trying to save his soul.  I was trying to keep him from going to hell,” Mother Divine stated as Pamela and Ashley both shook their heads.

“Yeah, I think you’ve caused a bigger problem, than just trying to save his soul Momma,” Pamela stated with a frown.  “I don’t think this is over with.  I love you Momma, but what you did was wrong.  Like he said, they almost killed him.”

“They didn’t kill him,” Mother Divine spoke.  “They were only…”

“Momma, when I saw the images in his mind of what was going on with him when we finally located him, I was shocked that he was still alive!”  Pamela screamed as she threw her hands up.

“They weren’t going to kill him, just make him see the error of his ways,” Mother Divine stated as she shook her head and then looked around.  “Being with those—those men have corrupted his soul and for him to be an angel, he can’t be that way.”

“They nearly kill him, the reason he came here and tried to kill you Momma!”  Ashley snapped, throwing her hands up also.  “Don’t you understand that?”

“As I said, they weren’t going to kill him,” Mother Divine said as she turned her back to Ashley, walking over to a mirror in the room as she waved her hand in front of it, viewing the reflection that showed where JT and Kevin had teleported off to.  “He’s with Kevin again.  I thought they were over.”

“They were over, but it seems your actions have brought them back together,” Pamela stated, looking at Mother Divine strangely.  “Kevin hadn’t been with Timmy in a long time.  The only time Kevin would be around is when he was needed as Legacy Pluto and nothing more than that.  Kevin moved on with his life, but your hatred here has pushed him right back to Timmy, so you only have yourself to blame for sending his soul back to hell, as you see it!”

“How dare you talk to me like that!”  Mother Divine snapped, pointing her finger in Pamela’s face.

“It’s about time that someone did,” Pamela said as she turned away from Mother Divine.  “I’m leaving!”

“What?  What do you mean?”  Mother Divine asked.

“It means that I’m getting out of here to go somewhere else.  If you’ll do something like that to a man that you call your son, I wonder what you’ll do to me,” Pamela stated as she shook her head and then waved her finger in a ‘Z’ formation, creating a dimensional portal as she sighed and then jumped through it.

“I guess you’re going to leave too,” Mother Divine said as she looked over at Ashley and then back at the mirror’s reflection as Ashley walked out of the room.  “I was only doing what I thought was right.  I was just trying to save his soul.  I didn’t want my baby boy going to hell for his sinful ways.”

Jacksonville, FL – X-Ternals’ Compound – The Combat Room

(<PAMPH>)

“Whoa!  I could’ve seriously hurt you,” Hank said, floating down to where A’Mora appeared on the floor in the room.  “Why would you teleport in here?”

“I didn’t teleport myself here, JT’s uncle did it,” A’Mora replied with a frown.

“So, you guys were able to find him?”  Hank asked as A’Mora nodded her head.  “So, where was he been held up lately?”

“That’s a long story,” A’Mora replied as Hank looked at her.  “Okay, it seems he was in some place in Georgia at a de-gaying camp.”

“He was at a de-gaying camp?  What?”  Hank said, shaking his head as he looked at A’Mora strangely.

“Yeah, someone arranged for him to go to this place to have the gay demon removed from his body,” A’Mora stated as Hank shook his head.

“So, he was at that place all this time?”  Hank asked as A’Mora nodded her head.

“Yeah, pretty much,” A’Mora stated with a frown.  “Someone kidnapped him and held him prisoner at the place where we found him.  They nearly killed him.  When we finally connected with his mind, the images that I saw, I don’t know how he survived the ice baths, the constant dunking his body into the water, the electro-shock stuff on his nipples and balls and the beating.”

“What?  He has power, he could’ve survived…” Hank said as A’Mora shook her head.  “What’re you shaking your head for?”

“No, he couldn’t have survived, he was powerless, no powers what-so-ever,” A’Mora stated as Hank looked at her strangely.  “There was a magical spell on him, keeping him from using any of his powers.  He was helpless as a baby.”

“So, what happened next?”  Hank asked, looking over at A’Mora.

“His sisters got him free, I used my powers to get rid of the magical spell that was on him, blocking him from using his powers and then he set the place on fire and when we left,” A’Mora stated with a frown.

“Why do I feel like you’re leaving something out, like that part that tells how you ended up in here, claiming that JT’s uncle teleported you here,” Hank stated as he looked at A’Mora as he crossed his arms across his chest.

“We appeared at his mom’s house and he tried to kill her!”  A’Mora screamed.

“Say what?  He tried to off his mom?”  Hank asked, shaking his head.  “That’s some fucked up shit!”

“Well considering that she tried to have him de-gayed and all,” A’Mora said as she looked down.  “If I was in his shoes, I don’t know what I would’ve done.  The person he trusted most with his life, used her powers against him, so someone else could hurt him.  What would you have done Hank?”

“I don’t know what I would do.  I can’t believe it was his own mother though,” Hank said as he shook his head.  “Where is he right now?”

“I don’t know,” A’Mora replied with a frown.  “His uncle whisked me out of there in a hurry.”

“And that’s how you ended up here, with me almost clobbering you,” Hank said as A’Mora nodded her head as he turned around.  “I guess we can ask Kevin when he comes back.”

“That’s if he comes back,” A’Mora stated with a frown as she looked down.  “Kevin’s a changed…”

“A changed what, man?  Why wouldn’t he come back here?  He’s still part of the team and some of us like him, even if he’s not dating JT,” Hank stated as A’Mora shook her head again.

“You already got a man,” A’Mora stated as Hank stopped moving and then sighed.  “Hank…”

“Lance dumped me,” Hank replied as he continued walking towards the door.

“What?  Why would he do something like that?  A few days ago, you two were talking about something long term,” A’Mora stated as Hank shook his head.

“I—I showed him what I truly look like and he—he screamed, threw up and then ran out of the room,” Hank stated as A’Mora looked at him strangely.  “I haven’t seen him since then.”

“Hank, what are you talking about?”  A’Mora asked, walking up behind Hank, placing a hand on his shoulder as he jerked away from her.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” Hank stated as A’Mora frowned as he walked out of the room, bumping into Donna James as he went.

“Okay, what just happened girl?”  Donna asked, walking over to where A’Mora stood.

“Just some minor drama with Hank is all,” A’Mora replied with a frown as she turned around.

“Have you seen JT?”  Donna asked, looking at A’Mora closely.  “A’Mora, are you okay?”

“I’m okay, just not feeling the best,” A’Mora stated, turning around.  “I have no clues as to where JT is right now.  The last time I saw him, he was in Georgia, trying to kill his mother.”

“What!”  Donna screamed, her eyes glowing brightly as a few items in the room floated off the floor.

“Donna, calm down!”  A’Mora exclaimed, grabbing Donna’s hand.  “Get a hold of yourself and control your powers!”

“Why in the world would JT be trying to kill his mother?”  Donna asked as her eyes stopped glowing.

“She had him kidnapped,” A’Mora answered as Donna looked at her strangely.  “She had him kidnapped and taken to one of those places where the people try to cure a person of being gay.”

“What!”  Donna screamed again as A’Mora sighed.

“So, myself, along with Kevin, Super Girl and Vogue had to pool our mental powers together to try and find him.  His mother placed a spell on him that rendered him powerless and no one was able to mentally locate him.  The spell was so strong, even the computer wasn’t able to locate him,” A’Mora explained as Donna shook her head as her eyes crackled with energy as things in the room banged against the wall.

“That woman has gone too far this time.  It was one thing when she used to keep him from his father, but going as far as having him kidnapped and trying to cure him of being gay just takes the damn cake!”  Donna screamed as a few more items in the room floated off the floor and then crashed into the wall.

“Donna, if you don’t calm down, you’re going to destroy all the equipment in this room,” A’Mora stated as Donna sighed and then shook her head as some tears slid down her face.

“I’m sure that caused a big problem,” Donna said as she turned around.  “I came to work out, but I think I’ll go lay down now.  I have a feeling that the coming days are going to be bad.”

“Okay, take it easy girl,” A’Mora said as she patted Donna on the back and then walked out of the room.  “I have a feeling that she’s totally right about that.  I don’t think things with JT and his mom are over and done with.  With all that I saw, I’m sure there will be more.”

Somewhere in Georgia – A Lone Cabin in the Woods

“Hi there,” Kevin spoke as JT opened his eyes and then looked up at him as the two of them lay in bed.  “You’re okay… everything’s okay buddy.”

“Everything’s not okay buddy,” JT sarcastically said as he slid away from Kevin on the bed and then got up.  “Where are we?”

“You already know where we are,” Kevin replied, looking away from JT.

“Why are we here?”  JT asked, folding his arms across his chest as he looked down at the floor.  “Why did you bring me here?”

“This is where I’ve been and I thought you would…” Kevin stated as JT held up a hand, stopping him.

“Why Kevin?  Why this place?”  JT asked as he sighed.  “Why bring me to a place where I…”

“I’m sorry,” Kevin said as he sighed.  “At the time, I didn’t know we were going to end up here. I keep forgetting that transportation spell takes you back to where you came from.”

“So much for you being sorry Kevin,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “You cheated on me with some damn woman here!”

“I didn’t cheat on you, you left me, remember,” Kevin said as he turned around to face JT.  “I wasn’t the one that left, you did!”

“I left because you told me that you couldn’t do this anymore,” JT stated as he shook his head.

“I was tired of lying to myself, my family and my friends… what little friends I had,” Kevin stated as he shook his head.  “Do you know how hard it is to be gay in a small town?”

“Hello, I grew up in the same damn town that you did, but I haven’t wavered away from being me!”  JT snapped.

“No JT, you didn’t only grow up in Swainsboro, you grew up in Jacksonville too, a place where you met most of the others and the so-called love of your life, Speedy,” Kevin said as he pointed his finger at JT.  “You cheated on me, long before I even thought about…”

“Robin, Christy, Jill, Missy and Laura,” JT said as Kevin just shook his head.  “We were best friends for a very long time and then we became lovers.  You allowed our friendship to go down the damn drain because you didn’t want those girls knowing you were associated with a so-called sissy… a sissy with enough psychic power to turn their brains to mush!”

“That’s not how it was and you know it,” Kevin said as he walked over to JT.

“Then how in the hell was it!!” JT snapped, looking Kevin in the face.  “Everything was fine between us until those girls came along in the fourth grade.  We hung out during recess every day, had lunch together and then they came along and you had no time for me.  Anytime someone wanted to find you, all they needed to do was look for one of those damn girls!”

“I spent time with you,” Kevin said as JT shook his head.

“Fighting bad guys with your ninja and samurai powers don’t count!”  JT screamed as the cabin shook.  “The only time you spent around with me was when we were fighting bad guys and then when the bad guys were gone, so were you.  You would have me send you back home to your girlfriends so things would be back to so-called normal.”

“Oh come on buddy, things between us were never normal,” Kevin stated as he grabbed JT’s hand and then pulled him close.  “I loved… love you.  I’ve always loved you, regardless of how much we fought and wherever we were on the planet.”

“You’re lying!”  JT snapped as he pushed Kevin away from him.  “If you loved me, you would never do anything to hurt me.”

“Oh, like you sleeping with Drew didn’t hurt me!”  Kevin snapped, looking down as he balled his hands into fists.  “How do you think it feels, walking into your room to surprise you for your birthday and find you having sex with another man?”

“Now you’re just making things up,” JT stated, shaking his head.

“I’m not making things up!”  Kevin snapped, his eyes crackling with magnetic energy.

“Oh yes hell you are, because I’ve never slept with anyone on my birthday,” JT stated as he turned around.  “All of my birthdays have been spent with my mother or my father or both, but not boyfriends.  So, you didn’t surprise me on my birthday, to find me having sex with anyone!”

“I’m not going to argue with you about that, I know what I saw,” Kevin stated as he shook his head.

“I don’t care what you think you saw.  I know I didn’t sleep with Drew on my birthday, any of them,” JT stated as he shook his head.  “You trying to explain away all the times you’ve slept with women by saying it’s my fault for sleeping with Drew is a damn sham!  I wouldn’t have to sleep with Drew, if you would’ve been man enough to be my boyfriend and stop worrying about what others thought about you!”

“There it is,” Kevin said as he shook his head and then smirked.  “All of us aren’t as strong as you are Jt.  We all don’t have strong psychic shields like you do to keep us protected from harm.  Better yet, I don’t have the psychic power to change a person’s mind, especially when they get upset with me. All of us can’t use those powers to make people like us!”

“How dare you!”  JT screamed, throwing his hand up as Kevin’s body floated up off the floor and slammed into the cabin wall.

“Go ahead, beat me up,” Kevin said as he leaned up on his elbow.  “If that’ll make you feel better, go right ahead and beat me up.  Do it!”

“You are a low-down dirty rat!”  JT screamed, shaking his head as the tears streamed down his face.

“Call me what you want!”  Kevin screamed as JT shook his head and then turned around as his costume glowed as ribbon and energy flared around his body.  “JT, what are you doing?”

“I’m leaving here,” JT replied, his eyes crackling with energy as he shook his head.

“Don’t leave!”  Kevin screamed as he grabbed JT’s hand, stopping him from moving.

“No, don’t touch me!”  JT screamed, lashing out with his telekinetic powers, sending Kevin crashing into the wall again.  “There’s no reason for you to be touching me.  For all I know, I have no reasons to be around, since all I’ve done is sued my powers to make people like me!  That means no one ever really liked me in the first place.  I—I’m just a freak!  I’m a lonely freak that no one ever liked!”

“JT, stop that!”  Kevin screamed as he got up off the floor as the energy and ribbon that flared around JT’s body stopped and then collapsed upon his body, revealing a new costume.

“What is it that you want me to stop James?”  JT asked, his voice sounding cold and strange.

“What’s going on here?”  Kevin asked, looking at JT strangely.

“Why do you care James?”  JT asked, smiling evilly as he raised his hand as Kevin went crashing into the wall again.  “I hope you said your goodbyes to the Psychic Warrior, he’s now dead.  You can welcome Chaos to the world!”

“Oh God, what—what have I done?”  Kevin asked as JT smiled and then turned around as he stepped through a teleportation portal, disappearing from the cabin.
